Memory found her arm caught by a strong hand as she was trying to run from the building, her eyes turquoise as she stopped pieces of falling debris from falling on the fleeing students and tossing it out of the way with a quick motion of her hand. She whipped her head around, her blonde hair swinging, to come face to face with a male who was only a few inches taller than herself. She barely noticed his lightly tanned skin and black hair as Memory had been drawn to his irises which were black as coal.

She was about to force him to let go but heard him speak and realized they were on the same side, the ones being attacked. It turned out that he wasn't trying to hurt her, just ask if they could help each other through this.. Whatever this could be categorized as. Memory nodded, her pale face appearing quite calm despite the danger that she had originally though he had posed to her - and the danger that was still around them. She stared at the guy for a few minutes, her turquoise eyes trying to hide her thoughts or emotions, before nodding. " Alright," she wasn't surprised that he knew how she was feeling, after all who wouldn't be anxious in such a situation as this. Memory thought nothing of this as she glanced away from him and stretched both her hands in front of herself, holding them close to her chest.

She shifted out of the doorway to allow room for others to escape as the walls seemed to groan, shifting her powerful blue eyes toward the male again. " What do we do now?"

Circuit

Circuit was glad that he could get himself detached from the female mutant he was fighting with. He backed up a bit to give some space between the two of them, before watching her use her powers in a way that he found intriguing. She manipulated the water to surround her body as if it were armor. Circuit nodded at this tactical move. He wouldn’t admit it out loud, but that could be what concludes their fight. He still needed to dry off, which was occurring very slowly.

“I really like…” Circuit barely dodges the water ball and curses under his breath as he does so. “…that.” He said pointing at his opponent. He then started to walk slowly to his right, while trying to keep his eyes on her. He seemed to be leading her off the battlefield, but he was actually trying to find a source of electricity to help him stay in this battle.

Circuit made quick glance over toward Wraith, seeing that the mutant was doing fine on his own. Of all the crazies in the Brotherhood, Circuit could at least tolerate Wraith. Circuit continued moving to his right, straying several yards away from the rest of the group that had stayed back with Magneto. Still, he hadn’t found a source of electricity. Shit… I need to buy time before she figures me out and attacks.

“I’m glad I have someone decent to keep me busy in this battle. Between you and me, I think Magneto is just trying to instill fear into your school. If that’s true, I’m not worried about where this fight takes me… unless you kill me… By the way, what’s your name?” Circuit asked before feeling the sun becoming warmer against his skin. Electricity soon crackled and surged through his bare arms, but not as strongly as he had done previously.

Blackout looked up at Lucas. "Where do you think would be the best place to move to then?" She glanced around them, keeping an eye on the shadows, before looking at him again. She wore a blank expression on her face, trying to control the thoughts that were racing through her mind. She was partly focused on controlling the shadows, part on making sure that the area was safe and partly wondering if he was really alright. The irises of her eyes were pure black, the same colour as the shadows. "I personally am not sure where the best place to go would be... Got any ideas?"

Aradia could barely make out the words from the electricity wielding mutant she was fighting with. She opened her armor around her face just the slightest to tell him her name. "You can call me Calypso. What's yours?" She didn't want to appear to friendly, considering he was trying to fry her alive. With each step she was forced to take, her armor weakened, becoming thinner. Maybe I can stretch the water to his feet. she thought. She concentrated as hard as she could on leading the water to his feet on the ground, trying to make it as unnoticeable as she could. The water snaked it's way through the grass landing on his feet. She gave a satisfied smile. He'll probably notice, but if I try really hard, I can encase him in it. She threw another water ball at him to keep him focused on her attacks rather than her other objective. The water ball was visibly weaker and she was sure he would know somethings up.

As Memory turned violently to him Charlie let her arm go and stepped back, feeling surprise and fear through the short contact. He was uncomfortable with the physical contact and the attention he brought to himself for the brief moment. He got a better look at the girl he caught, almost as tall as he was with cascade of light golden hair against terribly white skin. Her eyes were a piercing mix of blue and green and Charlie felt uncomfortable as he met them. He hardly ever made contact with another by his own choice and something about her gaze enhanced this discomfort. Perhaps it was a slight uncertainty that he could feel behind the carefully guarded orbs or simply the embarrassment that he was hardly bigger then her. Whatever the cause he couldn't draw back now, going so far as to get her attention and offer the temporary. Once they were free of this threat then he hoped to avoid her, not aware of the strange connection of battling back-to-back with another encourages.

He looked out over the battlefield as Memory inquired, it felt odd that there was a time of relapse while combat raged so close. It felt odd that they would join after the pause, considering that fleeing or remaining apart would be the safer option. Charlie knew that he couldn't settle for safety at the cost of the loss of the one place where acceptance was a possibility. There was more to the academy then simply teaching, it was something of a place of peace and protection. Something Charlie had never known and no doubt was alien to many others like him. It was something worth fighting for, although his own survival was paramount. The thoughts were different from his usual train. Perhaps a hang over from the emotions from those around twisting not only his feelings and his thoughts. Not that he consciously noted the change.

He looked to Memory again, "Can you use your power from here?" Again finding it slightly odd that he could talk about powers without the fear of condemnation. He didn't know if he could use his power from where he was either, he had never tried. Before she could answer he winced as a fresh bout of pain lanced into him, this time it lingered and grew. Almost as if it was amplified intentionally, shortly after it started a scream from the distance ripped through the air. This wasn't unusual except for the cold laughter that followed. It caused a involuntary shudder to run through for he could feel the cold emotionless mind behind it. The pain slowly faded, although already it had brought Charlie to his knees, with a second light slice in his arm. The previous wound from Vanille crisscrossing and both dripping small trickles of blood. He ignored the light burning and stood. He couldn't detect any concern from the blond girl although he hadn't looked up and enough filled his head. He moved his damp hand away from his right arm, thoughts following how he could turn his power back upon itself.

Circuit was surprised he at least got a name from the young woman he was facing in battle. When she asked for his name, he took the time to ease himself. “Well, you can just call me Circuit for now.” Circuit replied as he felt himself drying more. Confidence was written all over his face. When the water ball came at him, Circuit simply shot a short streak of electricity through it. He neutralized the attack easier than he thought he would, which made him wonder how much more the girl could do before she got tired.

“I’m not gonna lie. You’re good… Calypso. It’s too bad that we aren’t on the same side. I think your power could really compliment mine.” Circuit said as electricity surged through his hands. He wasn’t going to go for a kill. Purposely killing someone was something he couldn’t handle. This was his battle, or so he thought.

Just as the blonde had been about to nod her head in response to Charlie's question as he winced in sudden pain, her blue eyes followed him as his knees met the ground. Memory didn't understand what exactly had just occurred in front of her very own eyes but it was quite evident that it had to do with his own power, a power that apparently had effect over distances. She bent slightly and helped him stand, retracting her arms as soon as she saw that he was up and capable of standing without support.

Now, the teenager gave her response with her eyes cold and calculating as she turned to look at the many people - students and teachers alike - fighting to protect the school. If she used just enough power, just enough energy, she should be able to do anything.. With plenty of concentration of course, and also providing no one attacked her while she was doing this.

" Yes," Memory said slowly as she turned back to Charlie, keeping her eyes shaded so as to hide her feelings. She had no idea that he could already sense them. " I can definitely use my power from here but it will take lots of concentration and will-power." She tilted her head to stare at him as though silently willing him to know her thoughts so she wouldn't need to tell him. " If I'm attacked, I'll lose my concentration and be no good to anyone." A light brown eyebrow lifted, the only dark part to her light face, as she looked at him.

Charlie nodded in response to to the girl's statement. Trying not to meet her eyes, not because he was ashamed of anything. Merely he didn't really want to connect with her in any way. "Alright" He agreed "If anyone actually notices us I'll try and keep them away from you." He was certainly unsure of how he was going to achieve that. If someone did notice them and tried to attack them they would undoubtedly have some power to give them an edge. He just hoped that wouldn't happen and he could focus on trying to use his power. He didn't know how far it could reach exactly, although he knew there didn't seem to a set distance. If he did get into s fight he seriously doubted a beat down in front of the blond wouldn't distract her. "No promises though" he added to cover the eventuality. He was an honest person, and certainly didn't want to let anyone down, specially if her power could alter the flow of the battle for better.

He looked back at her again, seeing nothing in her emotionless face. Nor could he feel anything of what she was going through her mind behind the blue eyes. He put it down to the storm of emotions warring in his mind, drowning out much of his own uncertainty and feelings. The chaos was in fact a small blessing, no single emotion was strong enough to drift out and affect those around him, not that anyone other then Memory was nearby. He returned find something to focus on in the field of battle and settled upon a pair of young men who seemed evenly matched. He couldn't pick which one of them was an attack and which one was defending. They both brindled with matched anger. He hoped that the one nearest the school was on his side. Charlie focused on the other one, he knew how to focus on one mind and open himself to that person's feelings. He did this and felt the flood of anger, of hate, of fear and the thrill of adrenaline surge through him. He tried to push the feelings back unsuccessfully. Nothing he could do could prevent the emotions running into him as his eyes drifted to red once again. He tried to push his own feelings along the link, the pain of the red lines sliced into his arms throbbed. He gathered it, letting the pain fill him and focused on using it t hurt the other person. Not a flicker. Charlie broke the connection, crimson pupils returning to a disappointed navy blue. No one had noticed the pair of them as of yet. The small boy looked to see what his companion was achieving.

Aradia seemed shocked when he shot her water ball with apparent ease. She was beginning to grow suspicious. Now how would he do that unless he's gaining power from somewhere. she thought. She glanced around looking for a power source somewhere. Finding nothing on the ground, she glanced to the sky. She saw nothing but the sun beating down on them. The sun! He must be drying himself by the sun! she looked back at him and gave a smirk. She knew his game now, and she wasn't going to give up until he was soaked. She thinned her armor out and gave more power to encasing him instead. The water know flooded over his lower half, but her head was pounding. Come on, just a little more. she thought as she pushed the water up further.

The blonde teenager gave Charlie a little nod before turning her bright turquoise gaze upon several people trying to enter the school from the bushes a few feet away. Raising an arm in front of her with her hand moving in their direction, Memory could feel the strain as she picked up pieces of wood and sent them flying toward them. A male and two females, one old enough to have children while the other two were barely in high school.. or so she thought.

Cornelia. Cornelia.. Lia.

She felt the name hit her, hard, and a piece of wood that was in the air went shooting out toward the woman and knocked her out cold. As soon as the woman was on the ground, obviously unconscious, the echo of her own name dissipated from her mind. The woman had had something to do with telepathy and had been trying to dig through her memories.. One reason she could come out of that so easily. Memory wasn't one who could have her memories manipulated with easily.

She pushed some of her long hair back behind her ear and could feel her eyes turning another shade of green. The next step she needed to access more power, although it was much more dangerous and difficult to control. Taking a deep breath, Memory pulled her hand toward her chest before glancing back at Charlie. Her eyes were bright and full of energy, energy she knew she didn't really possess. More boards, bricks even, were levitated into the air and thrown out at others as projectile weapons. It was hard to aim but she tried, hating that she had never joined a baseball team or anything ever before. It may have helped her terrible aim.. Or arm.. She didn't know what to blame some of her misses on but she did cause many to stray from their original paths.

The strain was evident on her physical body. Though her eyes showed energy, her hands were shaking with effort to control the power. Her breathing was calm but she could feel her heartbeat pick up with each new wave of power she used.

Circuit thought he had this battle won. All he needed to do was strike her with as much energy as he could. With the water no longer dulling his powers as much, he’d definitely be a whole new force to deal with. It wasn’t until he felt the entire lower half get drenched.

“Fuck!” Circuit cursed as he looked down at his legs. They looked as if they were encased by the water. “You think that’ll stop me?!” Circuit said before giving up on zapping the girl and charging toward her. He didn’t move fast as the water weighed down on him. When he got close, he’d just do a short range electrical shock. He called this his taser punch.

"Oh hell no!" Aradia yelled as she ran to get away from Circuit. Her sprained ankle pained her as she did so. She gave up completely on encasing herself and only focused on drenching him as much as she could. She threw water ball after water ball at him, some missing, some hitting their mark. She did NOT want to get zapped. It was painful enough with a low setting. She was sure to be fried with a higher one. She tripped over a hole and tumbled to the ground. She couldn't get up, her foot was stuck. Crap, crap, crap! she thought in panic He's going to kill me! The water responded to her panicked emotions and encased her in a ball of water. She really hoped it would hold.

Charlie contended himself with restraining from using his power, instead stand guard over Memory as was originally planned. The battles were dropping away as more and more members were taken out of commission. He didn't focus on how they were, he tried to ignore the psychic spikes of pain and death. He couldn't help it though and the thoughts pounded through his head, causing him to shudder with each flood. He looked over at his partner to see was she was achieving. She seemed to be concentrating and gesturing with an arm. He caught movement in his peripherals and looked to see broken planks of wood floating and propelling themselves through the air. He glanced back to Memory to see if she was the cause this denial of gravity. He couldn't tell although he assumed she was. He felt a moment of turmoil run through the blond, some confusion leeched out. She looked back and he was startled to notice her eyes had changed to a brilliant green. He supposed it was something to do with her power. He continued to watch as more and more objects became projectiles at seemingly their own accord. He began to noticed that physically the girl was flagging, her body shaking. He was slightly worried, he didn't want her injuring herself.

Memory gestured at another few boards, completely unaware of her 'partners' concerns, with a shaky hand and turned her eyes toward her next targets.

Children.
They were only children. There were two, one might have been around ten or so but the other was much younger.. More closer to five or six than anything else. The blonde girl hesitated but felt a wave of exhaustion hit her and Memory tilted to the side, barely catching her footing before falling. The boards went sailing through the air toward the kids but halted only inches from them as she regained control, a portion of her strength. Her arms out as though she would grab something if she were to fall, her green eyes shining brighter before dimming and becoming a darker green; closer to a sea green than as bright as a cat's. They had gained a darker hue, a tint of blue to them as she stopped using so much power.

Feeling dizzy, even as she flung bricks and small stones, she still continued to do what was her best in her current state. Memory forced tree branches to bend and trap 'enemies', even for a short time, to buy time for everyone else. Some people went flying, others were knocked out with something that was thrown at them.

By this time, Memory was practically falling asleep on her feet, obviously not strong enough to handle too much on her own just yet. She turned for an instant to search for another few bricks to throw but, instead, her eyelids shut of their own accord and she couldn't stop herself as her knees buckled and the girl fell to the ground. She kept her eyes shut as she stuck her arms out in front of her to stop her head from being bashed on the ground, trying not to breathe in dust and dirt and whatever else was coating the ground at this time.

" Ouch," the teenager murmured, trying to talk herself out of feeling the slight sting in her palms. She'd scratched them on the stone steps, knowing she was lucky that was all and no large cuts.. As far as she could tell anyway.
