My Current's measured in what?...Jigowatts? What the hell's a Jigowatt?!
Tlaloc is who you might see as some young punk. He may come off as an arrogant jerk who doesn't really know how to quit. Believe it or not, Tlaloc tends to reflect what others say about him. He does whatever he wants, doesn't give a damn about the consequences, and either goes his merry way, or you can start something. Of course, this is the result of some form of abuse in his past. Not really by being a mutant at all, but you'll have to poke down below to the history. Now, you may be thinking that there's no reason to like this guy, am I right? Well, Tlaloc may seem like an ass, but that's just a little 'defense' system he has on his exterior. Deep down, he's really a douche with a heart of gold. If any real danger were to come over someone innocent, he'd spring into action, even if they say something bad about him. That's just the kind of guy Tlaloc is. Heck, if he warms up to you, he's like a fun cousin who'll exchange a joke and some hearty laughs.
Tlaloc owns a smart phone provided to him upon arrival to the Domingo Academy in Costa Rica, along with a couple other things. He doesn't have any gadgets or anything just yet. Not even a costume!
Continuing though, Tlaloc can manipulate water and electricity much like the Aztec god he is named after. The latter courses through his veins with his blood like it was always normal, making him a human battery. As for water, he must manipulate it externally.
Electrokinesis: Tlaloc uses electricity to literally power himself. He's capable of using it to strengthen his body in certain ways (Ex. A Punch with the power of a thunder bolt), achieve flight, and fire outwards in bolts, or a steady stream. The sheer power he can possess in his body is measured in a specially made term called a 'Jigowatt.'
Hydrokinesis: Tlaloc can manipulate water in any amount or form, being capable of 'grasping' it almost psychically. Perhaps the most intriguing ability he uses are his 'hard-water constructs,' in which he can use his water manipulation to create shapes and objects. If he has no electricity in his body, he can absorb it and fire it outwards from the pores of his skin.
Martial Arts: Tlaloc has had training in a couple martial arts styles. In addition, he knows a couple pressure points that, when infused with a little shock, can make for some major effect.
Weaknesses:
- Tlaloc must recharge his electricity regularly. Most normal charges give him enough power for an entire twenty four hours. He can't have too much, or it may kill him.
- As long as his body fully possesses electricity, he cannot absorb water, or he'll damage himself. He can still drink water and swim, but if it gets to him internally (Ex. Sticking a needle in a vein and having it collide with his electric 'second blood,' as they call it) it could hurt him even worse, knock him unconscious, or in worst case scenario, kill him.
- Tlaloc can use his electricity underwater, however it has an unintentionally much wider range, which can harm not only enemies, but allies and innocents.
Tlaloc is a boy from Brazil, actually of mostly Italian heritage, his mother full Italian, and his father half Italian half brazilian. Of course, he only knew his mother. He didn't know much about his father besides the fact he had to go into hiding for some reason, which today, Tlaloc believes is because he was a mutant too. He did his best to help his mother, Claudia, through the hardships of single parenting. Even as a little boy he did jobs here and there to get extra money. On the side, he practiced a couple different martial arts styles under the tutelage of a neighbor who felt Tlaloc could use self defense skills, due to the neighborhood they lived in, and the work he undertook in town, maybe selling newspapers, shining shoes, and so forth. When he wasn't doing either, he was spending the morning at school, trying to work towards a good education, though often being bullied by others. At some point, Tlaloc began to feel strange through out different parts of his body, like if he thought his feet or hands were falling asleep: They weren't. Slowly but surely the mutant gene within him was maturing early, gathering static and having it flow through his body.
When word got out he was a mutant at school, people were divided between whether or not to outcast him, a small group protesting every now and then, even going as far as to throw rocks and call him an abomination of nature. The kids who used to bully him now wanted to befriend him, solely for his newfound powers. But he didn't like either of these things. Eventually he began to get angrier, taking on an attitude towards everyone but his mother and next door neighbor, picking fights with anti-mutant protestors and keeping a strict friend circle of people who legitimately respected him, mutant or not. Word of some of his actions came to Eduardo Domingo, who had been originally conflicted in whether or not to open a facility with his riches, and finally deciding to do so, inviting Tlaloc as a founding student.
Tlaloc at first didn't want to go. Until of course, some of his friends were starting to be punished for even showing him the slightest bit of kindness, and his neighbor, getting death threats for trying to protect Tlaloc. Realizing his presence has done nothing but bring misfortune, he runs away to meet Eduardo Domingo, and head for the academy, where he prepares for the first school year with the help of his fellow students, teachers and faculty, and most importantly, the american chicks, Kitty and Jubilee.
