History: Mia grew up in a happy home. Being an only child, she got everything she ever wanted, and more. Her parents made sure it didn't go to her head though. She developed an interest in cooking at a young age, which impressed her father, whom owned a restaurant. When she was in grade 7, she met a young boy in her class by the name of Jude Stone. They became fast friends, and Mia didn't care that he was a mutant. Jude could give life to plants, and help them grow. He was a mutant of nature, with green hair and green eyes.

Soon, Mia and Jude began dating, and Jude entered the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters at 16. Mia often visited, making friends with the X-Men, and eventually moved in, helping around the mansion with cleaning and cooking. When they both were 19, Mia and Jude got married, much to the dislike of her parents who threatened to disown her if she did. But the bliss didn't last long. A night on the town to celebrate their first anniversary led to an Anti-Mutant group, Jude loosing his life, and Mia to loose her baby, which she never knew she was pregnant with until after. Mia still lives at the Xavier Institute, while running her restaurant. She often cooks supper for the inhabitants, and tidies up the mansion. She helps Xavier with anything she can, considering him, and the X-Men the only family she has left. She wears the wedding ring on a chain around her neck, never taking it off.

Black Jack

Being inside was like operating a computer. He could refine his search, calling upon memories that only included a specific person, place, or time. Or if he preferred he could watch the whole story from the earliest memory they have until now, but that would take a while. He was only interested in her dealings with Trask, specifically over the last few months, from the last time he saw her before she infiltrated, until now.

While he sorted, and called forth specific memories for information, he could feel the cracks in the shield he had erected around her brain, preventing anyone that he didn't want from poking around. He made a note to self, to repair the cracks after he got what he needed.

He grabbed what information he wanted from the memories he shifted through, slipping far enough out to let them, the memories, slip back to where they belonged. Travis then went on to the repairs. It wasn't like when he sorted through memories like a computer. Erecting boundaries and barriers was like encasing a piece of the person inside a dark tomb. Each tomb contained an image of the person, with a part of them locked inside. The human brain was a fragile thing, and too much erasure, implantation, meddling could permanently damage it.

Travis let his hand fall from Adria's eyes once the repairs were done, taking a deep breath. He didn't use up too much power, since he didn't implant any memories or erase anything, but to still sift through all of it was exhausting in it self. Adria's mind was now secure for the next little while, but her body would have to heal on it's own.

He rested Adria back down onto the bed, and brushed a few strands of her hair away from her face. It wouldn't be long now before she woke up. "See you again soon." Travis said, teleporting out of the Infirmary, and off the campus grounds.

Adria

Adria slowly slipped back into consciousness, her eyes blinking repeatedly to adjust to the lights and be rid of the glossyness. She tried to remember what happened last, and she shot up, looking to the doorway. "Who...?" The sudden jolt up caused her face to contort in discomfort from the pain in her side. It was obvious that she was alone now, but before she had blacked out the second time, she recalled a tall man, dressed like he was someone important. Not knowing who he was or what he possibly had done to her while she slept was an unnerving feeling.

The silence is what got Adria up and out of the bed. How long had she been out? Was the mission successful? She didn't know. It defiantly brought more questions that answers, and she thought about it as she made her way from the infirmary, sliding her hand along the wall to help her along as she walked. Once at the elevator, the doors opened, Adria stepping inside. The doors closed behind her, and she rested her back up against them as it went upwards.

It wasn't like her to keep obsessing over what has happened in the past, but she couldn't help but think if it was the right thing to do in helping Trask get the weapon. Had she known it was Vincent all along, would she have still gone through with it? No. Regardless of who it was it didn't change what needed to be done. Get the weapon back to Trask. I didn't do anything wrong. Just what I was ordered to do.. she thought to herself, repeating it in her mind. You can't change what has already been done, but the feelings she had just as the attack began were back, and they were bringing doubts with them. Adria shook her head, shaking away the doubts.

Adria had forgotten she was in the elevator, so lost in her thoughts that when the doors opened, she stumbled back at the sudden loss of a leaning post, catching herself on the frame. It was quiet on the surface, and Adria knew the attack was over. Glass crunched under her feet like snow from the blown out windows. There was a hole in the wall, and she stepped through it. A short cut to everyone outside. As she got closer, Xavier's voice rang loud and clear.

"Vincent has been kidnapped... out fears have come to pass.."

Mission completed.

Mia

Mia had been on vacation for the past two weeks, much to the insistence of Charles. She hadn't taken a day off in a few years, and Charles had given her an ultimatum. Go willingly, or I'll force you to go. So Mia decided the first option sounded better. While she was away, she was worried about how her restaurant was fairing, and everyone at the institute. She hadn't been away from them for any longer than a day at most, and it caused her to fidget in her seat as the plane touched down. She was excited to be home, and highly excited to see everyone.

The plane came to a complete stop, and not long after, the passengers began filing out. Unbuckling herself from her seat, she grabbed her carry on from the overhead compartment, slinging it over her shoulder.

The baggage area was packed, and Mia was tiny enough at 5'3'' that she could push her way through to the front. The baggage was starting to appear on the belt, and she hoped that the bag with the souviniers had held. There was a few fragile pieces that she had, and she did wrapped them in bubble wrap just in case. But even still it could break. Other passengers had began grabbing their luggage, the area thinning out. She had caught a glimpse of her pokadot suitcases, getting more excited as the minutes passed. She was that much closer to home.

The suitcases were heavy when she lifted them off the belt, extending the handle to drag them behind her on the wheels. One for each hand. Maneuvering through the crowd, she made it outside, the traffic stopping long enough to allow her to pass to the parking garage. Her purple Honda civic stood out against the other cars, giving the trunk a nice pat before opening it up and placing her suitcases inside. Jude had bought her the car the day before their anniversary, and had given it to her that night, a day early. She had wondered if he had waited till that night, if he would still be here, and had they taken the car instead of walking. She shook her head of the thoughts. She couldn't change the past. What was done was done, and all she could do was move forward.

She lid into the drivers seat, pushing the brake and clutch down as she put the key in the ignition and turned it, hearing the roar of the engine come to life. Taking the e-brake off, she placed it into reverse, slipping out of her stall. Shifting the car into gear, she left the parkade, wondering what everyone was doing during the drive home.

It was quite a sight when she drove up to where the gates should have been. Instead, they were torn off their hinges, laying on the grass all bent out of shape. "What-What happened here?" She muttered to herself, the car not going more than 10KM. Her mind began to race with scenarios of what transpired, which only got her more worried. Charles, Magneto, and-was that Pietro as well-all stood around to the left. Bringing her car to a stop, she got out, making her way over to the group, the bit of her stomach in knots with a terrible feeling. Charles and Magneto were in great distress. She could tell by the flashes of anger on Erik's face, while Charles held it in. Something had to have happened to Vincent, she concluded. Only Vincent could get such a response out of the both of them. She didn't verbally say anything. Instead, Mia wrapped her arms around Charles from behind in a hope to comfort him in some way, resting her cheek at the top of his head.

After fighting through wave after wave of soldier Ryan and Thantos stand amid the bodies of the broken soldiers panting and searching for the next threat. Between breaths Thantos pants out, "Well Ryan we did it. We stopped them. No more soldiers." He turns to his buddy and smiles holding his hand out.

"Vincent has been kidnapped... out fears have come to pass.."

Thantos's face dropped. He was stunned. After all of that they had failed. He had failed to protect his family. His friends were hurt and missing. He began to breath faster hyperventilating. 'It's going to happen again. I'm going to be alone. They won't stop until my entire family is dead and I'm alone again.' These thoughts continued to play over and over in his head getting worse and worse each time.

"R-Ryan this can't be right... There's no way we lost. Right Ryan?"

"No, I'll be fine. I’ve had much worse." Cara insisted again, leaning herself up against the wall of the mansion to support herself. "What do you mean inside? Did the soldiers sneak past us?" she didn't need an answer it made sense to her as soon as it left her lips. With the majority of the battle-trained mutants outside there wasn't much in Project X's way to Vincent.

“Vincent has been kidnapped
"

Cara felt the air in her lungs freeze as the message came. That’s what the attack was for, that’s why the soldiers didn’t force them back, although it wasn’t for not trying generally the soldiers would have put up a much better fight then they had today. They didn’t want to get inside the mansion; it was just a distraction.

"Our fears have come to pass
"

Although Cara was never a greatly emotional person she couldn’t deny the feeling of dread inside her, she may not have shared the visions of Vincent’s family but she could not deny he was a friend.

Sliding herself down the wall she was leant on Cara stared up into the smoke filled sky, the pain she was experiencing slightly dampened by shock. She looked out across the mansion’s grounds; the once bright and vibrant gardens were now covered in the bodies of black clad soldiers, guns scattered around them, the massive gates that once adorned the driveway to the mansion were now broken, bent and half buried in the flowerbeds and the sentinels that had caused the most damage now lay in burning ruins, only huge metal husks remaining of the great mutant-killers.

Eventually her eyes slowly drifted back to the blackened skies and there they remained for some few minutes as Cara just sat and listened to the sounds around her until Pietro returned. Then as the echo of Magneto’s cry was still ringing in her ears she finally pulled herself to her feet and limped over to hear the news.

"Well Ryan we did it. We stopped them. No more soldiers." Thantos said, smiling. He held out his hand for Ryan to bump fists with. Ryan did so, with gusto. He heard Thantos's knuckles crack, they weren't broken, but his hand should have hurt a little. Ryan smiled. "That's for almost killing me with that Sentinel." Ryan joked. "I swear, I actually thought I was gonna die there! If my bones were any less dense, my skin any less scaled, my healing any slower, I would have died. I was scared!" He laughed. Then he heard it. Professor Xavier's plaintive voice.

"Vincent has been kidnapped... out fears have come to pass..." He said. The sadness evident in every syllable. The world froze around Ryan. Everything stopped, everything was quiet. Ryan almost didn't even hear Thantos say, "R-Ryan this can't be right... There's no way we lost. Right Ryan?" Ryan tried to speak, but nothing came out. His mouth moved wordlessly, his brain hopelessly, desperately trying to grasp the fact that Vincent was gone. It was a joke. A sick prank. "Stop it you guys." Ryan said, chuckling, mostly out of nervousness. "You're kidding right? Vincent is really in the bushes over there or something and we're all gonna laugh about it before we go back inside and start repairing the damage from the attack. Right? Right?" Ryan asked, hoping someone, anyone would tell him he guessed it, that it was all a clever ruse, that Vincent would crawl out of a bush and they would all laugh. There was no such response. Ryan was greeted with only sad nods and tears. Ryan felt his heart shatter, next was the dull thud of his knees hitting the ground. He heard Magneto's pained cry and matched it with his own sobs. Tears flooded down his face, there was no holding them back. Ryan cried like a child. He cried so hard he had trouble breathing. He cried so hard, his whole body shook with the force of his sobs. Vincent wasn't just a friend. He was a brother, a mentor, he was everything Ryan could have wished for in a fellow mutant. Ryan just kept crying and crying. He felt Thantos's hand on his shoulder but it did nothing to console him. He just kept crying. Eventually he ran out of tears and just sat there, on his knees, sobbing silently.

Charles Felt caught up in feelings of despair and sorry. He let his son down. He let his students and family down. The faces of each one of them flashed in his overwhelmed mind. He placed his face in his hands and wept. He then felt the gentle embrace of one that he could only be Mia. She was one of a sweet heart and she knew how to make one feel better, she didn’t have to say a word. Charles began to feel centered once again. He placed his hand over Mia’s and said, “Thank you Mia. I needed that.”, softly to her.

Fuyumi felt horrible. She thought back to earlier in the day when Vincent, Vila, and her were formulating their plan of action. They were to protect the students. But once they found out that the students weren’t the actual target she should have switched modes. She wished she had not have allowed the steady flow of things to sweep her into quick brash decisions. She racked her brain for ways to help make this right. Then it hit her, Cerebro. Fuyumi sprinted over to the professor who was crouched on the ground next to Mia, Erik and Pietro who all stood. “Professor you must use Cerebro! I’m sure you’ll get a location on where Vincent is if you search for him that way.” Fuyumi sounded flustered. She was usually very calm in disposition but today’s events proved to be a bit much for even her.

Charles looked up with a sense of hope. He was so grief stricken that he had forgotten all about Cerebro. Charles replied, “Yes
Fuyumi you’re right! I must go to Cerebro immediately. Erik will you see to the students? I also received another communication from Hideki in the danger room just now. It seems they managed to subdue a rather dangerous mutant who’s abilities seem to mirror Logan’s. I can trust only you to safely handle someone of that caliber Erik.” Charles said swiftly.

Erik stopped him before he could continue. “Charles, it’s alright. I’ll handle things here. Please find our son, I know you will. We need your calm disposition more than ever right now. Vincent will be fine and you will find him. Don’t you worry.” Erik gave Charles a gentle smile and helped him to his feet. Charles nodded in response and headed off to the danger room swiftly.

Erik then levitated off of the ground high enough for all to see him. He then spoke calm and authoritatively to the group outside the mansion. “Listen well everyone. I know today’s incident was indeed difficult. Today we were attacked by people who are afraid, afraid of you for your strength, afraid of you for what you have been blessed with. Fear stems from misunderstanding. They don’t understand us and thus out of fear they tried to harm and destroy us. But we mustn’t harden our hearts and close our minds off to the mission we all believe in. Vincent, my son
, has been taken from us. However, we WILL find him. We won’t let Weapon-X claim a member of our family, as X-men, and as a Mutant family! Charles is using Cerebro to locate Vincent now. The best thing for us to do is to be strong, be proud, and carry onward believing that our future will be better than our pasts! You all have made me very proud today. Charles is proud of you. You stood up for each other and fought hard not to kill even though they tried to kill us. I know how hard it is to come from a place of killing humans without a thought, to protecting those very humans that would rather see me dead. It’s difficult to love someone who hates you. But love suffers long for its cause and so shall we until our desired end is met, harmony. Rest now, tend to your wounds, continue to support one another. Know that all is well.” With that, Erik lowered himself down to the ground and headed into the mansion.

Fuyumi felt relieved after Erik’s speech. He was so charismatic and a natural leader. Fuyumi noticed some of the other’s dispositions improving slightly. However one person’s disposition showed they needed a little tending to. Fuyumi calmly walked over to Ryan and sat down beside him. She placed a hand on Ryan’s shoulder. “Ryan, don’t you worry. You were so brave today. I’m sure Adria will greatly appreciate saving her. Vincent looked proud to see you all work so well together in the middle of danger. You did what was best for the team and I know for sure he’d be proud of that. I believe that for myself as well. I wish I could have stayed by his side, but there were others that needed me too. I believe he’ll return to us, in one piece.” Fuyumi then gave Ryan a gentle hug. She liked Ryan for his gentleness and strong spirit. He took things so seriously and tried his best. She was very much the same way when she was younger.
Kyle stood next to Scott who looked as upset about today’s event’s as he did. He noticed Scott’s face cringe when he heard that Vincent was taken. Scott was definitely silently dealing with a great deal of anger and disappointment. Kyle looked on as Jonathan tried to console Memory, who seemed to be breaking down. Jonathan was most likely hurting heavily as well, but he needed to be strong for Memory and he was doing a very good job. Kyle wondered how his best friend was doing. Hideki was there when Vincent was captured. Kyle was sure Hideki wasn’t in the best head space. Kyle wasn’t in the best head space. He felt kind of useless. He wished he had been more helpful than he was. He wasn’t exactly sure of what would happen to Vincent but he prayed silently to on the spot that Vincent would be okay.

Kyle didn’t cry or look angry. He simply stood silently next to Scott and watched everyone else. He did however look disappointed. Kyle was a very interesting individual. He was very personable and quite the people person. However he had a very existent lonely side to him. He developed that way of being during the time when he couldn’t control his absorption abilities thus he couldn’t touch anyone. This problem had persisted for nearly two and a half years before he was able to be helped. He was used to being the charming guy you could see but never really get close to. Even now that people could get close to him, it was hard for him to take down those inner barriers that he placed up long ago. Vincent was a good friend to Kyle. Kyle could only imagine how hard Philip was taking the situation. Kyle thought to himself, “Whe the professor locates Vincent, I’ll fly as far as I need to so that I can meet up with him and make sure he gets home safely. I promise.”

Hideki plopped down on the floor of the danger room. He was tired and upset. He was relieved that X-23 had finally been subdued but Vincent was gone. He felt terrible having to tell the Professor that he failed to help his son. As much as Hideki beat himself up on the inside he tried to keep a slightly upbeat disposition on the outside. He never liked to look down and sad if he could help it. “Today was not a very good day
” He commented.

Philip looked on at the pile of rock and vines X-23 was constricted in. He stood looking on as if he were in a trance. His breathing was broken and winded. His eyes began to tear at the thought of his lover being snatched away from him and he couldn’t protect him. He began to weep heavily and didn’t wipe away a single tear. “Why
 why
 wasn’t I strong enough? I couldn’t save him
what kind of boyfriend am I?” Philip criticized himself.

Logan walked over to Philip and placed a hand on Philip’s shoulder. “Look kid, the guys we were facing were nothing easy to overcome. They aren’t just strong but as tricky as they come. There was no way we could have planned for this. You did what you could. This doesn’t mean you can’t protect who you love or that he ain’t comin’ back. We’ll get him and we’ll make Trask pay big time for this I swear.” Logan knew that Trask was to blame for all of this. It fit his M.O. perfectly. Philip seemed to take well to Logan’s encouragement and slowed in his weeping. Logan then turned to Vila, “Thanks Vila. You did an excellent job at keeping little miss assassin under wraps.” Vila didn’t say anything, but nodded as she left out of the danger room. Logan knew that Vila was taking this as hard as Charles, Erik, and Philip did.

Erik shortly afterward entered the danger room. His face was stern looking. He walked over to Hideki and helped him to his feet. “Thank you, all of you for helping my son as best you could. I do not take that lightly.” Erik the turned to Philip. “Philip my boy, I know
 I know
but continue to be strong enough to believe that Vincent will be fine. Charles is looking for him right now with Cerebro. A mutant of Vincent’s strength will not be hard to spot with Cerebro.”

Erik then looked at the pile of stone and vines that held X-23 captive. He scowled at the pile angrily. With a wave of the hand he brushed the heavy stones aside using his power and levitated X-23 in the air. She was just like Logan indeed, with an Adamantium coated skeleton. X-23 was stuck in one position, as if she were standing at attention with floating in the air. “When will Trask learn that coating things in such an alloy is simply a heavy handicap? I’ll bring her to the holding cell myself. You all should tend to your wounds and get rest as best you can. Things from this point forward will not be easy.” With that Erik turned and walked out of the danger room taking X-23 with him.

He brought her to the confinement cell that was actually tested to be able to hold a mutant even as strong as Logan and stronger. He hurled the assassin into the cell using his power. He had very little remorse for the deadly mutant. Erik knew a stone cold killer when he saw one. He grew up suppressed and threatened by them every day in his youth. He said only one thing to X-23 before leaving her in the containment area alone and secure. “You, young one, are very fortunate that I am a changed man. Charles’ rubbing off on me has saved your miserable life more than you know
the old me would have ripped your bones apart and beat the remains with them but I have learned to suppress such uncontrolled and vicious urges. Do know that I can smell your bones miles away. So if you did manage to escape, you won’t be getting far before you feel your head begin to snap from your body. Just a bit of encouragement for you to be a good girl and behave.” Erik’s tone was composed but very serious. He meant every word and could more than back it all up.

Erik left the holding area and met with Charles. The room that contained Cerebro was enormous. The large spherical room had one extended platform from the room’s entrance. At the end of the platform sat Charles at the station that carried the helmet that the user would use to operate the machine. Only telepaths could operate Cerebro and not just any telepath could effectively use it the way Charles or Vincent could. It amplifies the telepathic strengths of the user. Erik slowly approached Charles. “How’s the search. Have you found him?” Erik asked, sounding like a worried parent whose child hasn’t returned home after curfew.

Charles was about to reply that he had not yet located Vincent but he, just then, picked up on Vincent. “I’ve just located him Erik!! He was miles away in an underground base. He and several others have escaped it seems and the base has been destroyed. But something puzzles me and concerns me. It appears that I am sensing double signatures on Vincent’s X-gene. There is another present with him that shares Vincent’s reading. This is much different than clones like the young lady in captivity right now. She has a different signature than Logan. But it is as if there is two of our son.” Charles explained. He had communicated with Vincent and instructed him that he would be sending Scott in the blackbird to go pick him and his companions up soon. They would be back at the mansion in a couple of days.

Charles then proceeded to inform everyone else telepathically that Vincent was alright. “Everyone there is good news. I have located Vincent and he is alright it seems. I will have Scott and Logan fly to his location to pick him and his companions up. Rest easy and thank you all for your bravery and strength today. To all of our guests please make yourselves at home. I will have repairs initiated as soon as possible. I will aim to keep you all posted on the status of things.” With that Charles ended his telepathic communication with the others.

The next day had arrived and things were busy at the mansion. Repairs were underway and everyone was given the day off from all meetings and classes. They were encouraged to take it easy. Scott, Logan, and Philip set out to pick up Vincent. The trip would take a little while. They weren’t aware that David, Sabertooth, Agent Six, as well as Cain were the extra people that would be accompanying them back to the mansion. They were in for a deadly reunion

Mia

Mia unwrapped her arms from around Charles, giving his hand a squeeze before turning her attention to the battered group that stood before her. She didn't understand how someone could do this. No. That was a lie. She did understand why someone could do this. Being on the side the Anti-Mutants hate, she lost the love of her life, and her unborn child. There was many reasons, but Mia couldn't wrap her head around at how bad it looked.

Fuyumi was right. If anyone could find Vincent, it was Cerebro and Charles. Erik's speech did ring true. Fear does stem from misunderstanding and the unknown. Things people can't control they fear.

"Who did this?" She asked, to no one in particular. It was an open question, one that a blue haired girl answered. "I can't be certain, but there were a few mutants as well with the pack. Sabertooth was one of them."

"The Weapon X Program.. that's not good.." She mumbled under her breath. Mia heard of the Weapon X Program from the X-Men, and even had encounters with them when they attacked the mansion before. With not being very combative, and having only had a few classes on self defense and Sai work, she'd be lucky to keep her ground for a few seconds before running. She tried to avoid fighting whenever necessary, but knew there was times when you couldn't. With Weapon X involved, it only made matters worse.

I will aim to keep you all posted on the status of things.”

Taking a breath of relief at the message she, and the others received from Charles, knowing that things would be alright.
The next morning Mia had woken early. Well, she didn't sleep much, and was up relatively early from that fact. She had gone to her restaurant, in the middle of the night to sift through paperwork, and make sure the inventory was well stocked. There was a few things she had to order, but overall, her General Manager Daniel had kept it in good shape.

Being an owner had it's quirks. You could come in anytime you wanted, make your own hours, and leave everything in the hands of your General Manager and those below. One of the greatest downfalls of being the owner was you could get a call at four in the morning from alarms going off because someone shattered the window, or tried to break in. But Mia couldn't ask for anything more. She loved it, and would even help the kitchen on nights that were so busy, she knew no matter how good the staff was, that they would need help.

Stacking the papers neatly on the desk, she looked at her watch, the time reading 9am. She had been here for five hours already, and she ran her hands down her face, feeling the effects of not getting much sleep. Another hour then I will be done, and I'll head back to the mansion after.. I want to be there when he gets back..

Adria

She watched Mia approach, completely forgetting that a lone Human lived in the Mansion. She never gave it much thought since she left two weeks ago, but now she was back. It would have been better if she didn't come back, Adria thought. She would have to play nice, but the very thought of it made her want to vomit.

"Who did this?" Mia asked, to no one in particular. "I can't be certain, but there were a few mutants as well with the pack. Sabertooth was one of them."Adria answered. Just then she heard Charles's report.

I will aim to keep you all posted on the status of things.”

This will be interesting.. I wonder what happened to him at Trask's hands... she thought to herself.

Adria had taken herself back to the infirmary, where the nurse who was caring for her earlier gave her a nice long lecture of staying put when injured. Adria only half listened, being unusually tired. She was out like a light after the lecture, and had woken up feeling more tired than she was when she went to sleep. Bandages wrapped around her waist, and one on her upper left arm from the cuts. No stitches and no broken bones was always good. She was up and about now, with the permission from the nurse.

Adria had heard from the others that Ryan had brought her to the infirmary during the middle of the fight, after she had been sedated. She thought it would be proper to at least thank him the next time she saw him.

Sedated..what an embarrassment..She thought. She should have been prepared for that. Prepared for anything. But she was having too much fun getting rid of the soldiers. Permanently. It was a wonderful feeling to know you had power, and even more wonderful to know with that power, you can decide their fate.. the humans. Those who look down on others for being different..who take pleasure in other peoples pain.. who lie through their teeth..always out for personal gain.. They were all the same. They got what was coming to them.

Mia stood from her chair, grabbing her coat from the back of it and sliding it on. "Back already and the first thing you do is go to work? A guy could get jealous." A voice spoke from the doorway. Mia looked over her shoulder to her GM Daniel, a smile crossing her face. "Oh but if there was only a guy to make jealous." Mia responded, giving him a quick hug. "How are you?"

Daniel gave her a kiss on the cheek, his arms squeezing her tight when she hugged him. "Good now that the object of my affection is back."

"You and your womanizing I swear..."Mia commented. Daniel and her weren't dating, and she would never date him. They had gone to school together, and he was best friends with Jude, and Mia became to love him like a brother. But she couldn't help but pick on him at times. He really did -love- the opposite sex.

Daniel pouted."I can't help it. I'm just destined to give all the single ladies some Daniel lovin." he struck a pose, grinning at her with his 'You can't resist the Daniel charm' grin.

"Is that suppose to work?"

"Can't blame a guy for trying. So tell me how was your trip?"

Mia smiled brightly. "It was fantastic! I got to learn some interesting cuisines from different nationalities. There was this one mega star from Korea that was opening his first restaurant, and was asking my advice. I thought that was super cool. Totally didn't recognize him until he said his name was Lee Phillip. We had a different cuisine every night and it gave me an Idea for here. Perhaps once a week we should have a special night whether we feature Greek, Italian, Mexican-"

Daniel held his hands up. "Whoa whoa.. you know that's going to take some time..Not to mention you where suppose to be on a holiday.. but let me guess..you found out about a Chef class taught by some famous chef that you couldn't resist.. and Lee Phillip who?"

Mia thought she could hear the faint sound of screaming. Raising a brow, she left her office, Daniel following in confusion. Pulling the blinds up, There was no sound of screaming, and Mia shook her head. Must be tired.. Letting the blinds down, she thought she heard it again, only this time closer. Reopening the blinds, she saw no one. Ok..perhaps I'm starting to hallucinate..

"Did you hear that?" she asked Daniel, curiosity written on her face. He shook his head side to side. "I didn't hear anything...wait.. what's with all the screaming?" He inquired, tilting his head to the side as he gazed out the window himself.

"So you did hear it?"

"Just now."

A couple of civilians ran by at top speed, and within a few seconds, another group, only this one was larger. There was only a handful of people in the restaurant, and one of them had gotten some information that they gladly shared with everyone.

"Really?! Hey Frank, my sister says there's a mutant running rampant a few blocks away. He's tearing up the place, and it seems some other mutants just showed up. Look, she sent me a clip of it from her Cell."

Mia over heard, and rushed towards the table, snatching the cell phone from the guy's hands. "Hey!" he protested, trying to grab it back. But like a brother and sister playing, every time he went to grab it, Mia put it out of his reach every time. Up high, down low, to the side, and around the back, repeated.

The video was taken from a distance, and it was fuzzy. You could tell immediately that it was taken while she ran from the way the camera bounced up and down. Mia had to squint her eyes at some parts, trying to figure out who the big guy was. It looked like.. Juggernaut? She couldn't be certain from the video, but regardless, with it being a few blocks away, she couldn't stay open and risk people's lives. The fight may not make it this way, but if it did, she wanted no casualties.

Tossing the phone back to the guy finally, she looked at the occupants. "Ok.. So I need everyone to leave the store. I'm closing up shop due to this... incident.."

One of the patrons snorted. "I've already ordered my food and I'm not leaving until I get to eat it."

Mia walked over to his table, slamming her hand down on the surface, her eyes narrowing at him. "You'll thank me tomorrow when you are still alive. Now move it!"

"This is uncalled for. I wish to speak to the Owner!"

Mia smiled, giving him a small wave."You're speaking to her. Now. Get. Moving!" she hissed. the patron cleared his throat, looking unhappy all the way out the door.

"Mia what's going on?" Daniel said with concern.

"Just make sure everyone is out of here, leave everything where it is, send everyone home. I have something to do." Mia didn't wait for a response as she dashed out the door, running in the direction people where running from. She couldn't fight that was a fact, especially if it was against Juggernaut. At a time like this, she was torn in half. She wanted to help, and it hurt to know that she couldn't, but she could at least make sure that any and all civilians were evacuated. She would have to leave the fight to the X-men.

"Aw, man. Do I have to fight to?" "not if you don't want to Sparks your not an X-Men but I am and Logan would kill me if he found out I was here and didn't help" Ace gave a large sigh and began to walk towards Juggernaut but stopped to ask Maxx to protect her Café but hearing Maxx's offer simply said "thank you now no silly stuff Sparks or ill kick your ass" giving her a look that said she was serious.

Ace looked around watching as the last human stragglers ran for the worthless lives and for a moment Ace was enjoying the fear that they emitted. 'damn you Juggernaut you just had to ruin my day' walking up to the others Ace headed towards Aaiyah and simply asked "need any help?"

The Molocks having heard of the increase in anti-mutant sentiment on the surface decided to strike out. They sent a scout, the mutant known as leech, to venture up to the surface to look out for any opportunity they could jump in on. The Morlocks didn’t feel brave enough to launch an attack on the humans without the aid of another party. Juggernaut’s assault on the city was the perfect opportunity for them. As long as they stayed out of Juggernaut’s way, they would have a better shot at dealing a blow to the city since most forces would be crippled when trying to stop the unstoppable Juggernaut. With Leech’s return to the sewers and his report on the activity currently taking place, Callisto gave the okay to launch the attack.

On the surface Alliyah joined the group of X-men trying to subdue Juggernaut. “so who poked the bull with the hot poker” she asked.

Stinger replied, “Kyle here did. He did a little flirting with the big guy and let’s just say he got a bit too grabby and went haywire. The Juggernaut must have been affected cause he’s looking a bit groggy. Kyle is still trying to pull himself together. His absorption attack was about the only thing we could do that was effective against him. Mine and Hideki’s attacks only seemed to tickle the big lummox.”

Alliyah then said, “what’s the plan?”

Charles, Erik and Annabelle had arrived on the scene to help. Charles replied, “The plan is to distract him enough so that we can remove his helmet. Then I and perhaps our new student Annabelle can launch a Psychic assault on him. Telepathy and Mystical energy are about the only forces that affect him. Unless you are about as physically strong as him, which very few are.”

Frenzy added, “Yeah I was barely going toe to toe with him. He’s a bit much for me. And Kyle here is really strong as well and he seems to be just below the Juggernauts strength level. I don’t see how those who are here will be able to remove his helmet so easily.”

Magneto added, “Help is on the way.” After Magneto concentrated to see if Juggernaut had any metal possession on him it was only his helmet. The latches that attached the helmet were made from another alloy that was pretty tough. Magneto then said, “I fear this won’t be as easy for me as I had thought it would be
”

Just then the Morlocks flooded into the streets from the sewers. Many crude and odd looking mutants attacked the humans nearby on Callisto’s command. Storm was the technical leader of the Morlocks however in her absence she allowed Callisto to become acting leader of the group. Storm was indeed away not only from the Morlocks but from the X-men at the moment. Therefore Callisto could make negative decisions for the group without consequence from Storm.

Juggernaut looked around having caught a second wind, and saw the large group of Morlocks. “Well if it isn’t the local mutant sewer rats! What brings you vermin to the surface to be clobbered?” He asked the leader Callisto.

Callisto, who now stood on top of a nearby car, replied, “Oh
We Morlocks decided it was time to teach the surface dwellers to respect their mutant superiors. We’ll try not to get in your way Mr. Juggernaut. We couldn’t help but hear your magnificent work up here and we wanted to join in on the party. You don’t mind do you big boy?” Callisto smirked.

Charles interjected, “Brother stop this immediately! Why must you hurt innocent people?!”

Juggernaut saw Charles and became enraged. “You RELLY shouldn’t have to think that hard egg head! Now that you’re here
I really think the Morlock intrusion is welcome!” Juggernaut then turned to Callisto and replied, “Sure scareface! Keep Xavier busy and I’ll even let you carry my boots!!”

The morlocks began to go to town on the surrounding area and the X-men were getting prepared to engage. Just then the Blackbird flew overhead. The hatch opened and out jumped Wolverine claws extended. He landed on Juggernaut taking him down. He stood on top of the man ready to strike. Scott, Vincent, Cain, Philip, Agent Six, Sabertooth, and David jumped from the jet as well Vincent lowered the group down using his telekinesis.

Fuyumi and Mutt also joined to group, Mutt drove his vehicle. Charles then Telepathically communicated with Ace, Max and Mia. “If I could ask of you all to handle the Morlocks that would be a great help. There are many of them and they are seeking to capitalize on this opportunity to settle a long standing vendetta against humans. Juggernaut is also a force to be reckoned with and will require everyone’s assistance to handle as well. I will also contact an associate of mine for his assistance as well. We will definitely need all the help we can get.”

Juggernaut smacked Logan off of his chest sending him flying into a building. The juggernaut stood to his feet ready for the challenge. “Oooo yes!! Now this is what I’ve been dying for!! A chnce to ruin the X-men!! Come on kiddies!! Papa Juggernaut is ready to RUMBLE!!”

Annabelle asked Charles, "What's so special about the helmet?"

Charles replied, “The helmet protects his mind from mental probing and psionic assaults. Similar to Magneto’s helmet., which he rarely wears now.”

Erik chimed in, “It’s because I trust Charles, that I don’t wear the helmet anymore. Actually I’m not afraid for him to scan through my mind anymore.” Erik gave Charles a glance and grin.

Sabertooth cut in, “Why don’t you two just fucking get married already?” He couldn’t pass up the opportunity to poke fun at Professor X.

Vincent ran over to Xavier and gave him a hug. He then hugged Erik. They were very glad to see him and have their son back. Cain stood and watched with a smile. He longed to give the two a hug as well but he felt that he should formally introduce himself to his parents before trying to embrace them. Cain felt the emotions Vincent did for his parent’s, his lover Philip, Vincent’s friends and family at the X-mansion like Vila. He longed to relate to them all in the same manner that his brother and other-self did. However he knew that they didn’t know who he was like he knew all of them. It would be odd for him to act so close to them when they didn’t realize that he indeed did know them.

Just then a tall and very muscular man approached the group. Logan got up from the rubble he’d been knocked into and looked and the costumed man. “Well I must be seeing things
Colossus?” Logan said to himself. He hadn’t seen Colossus in a few years since he’d last left the X-men to spend time at home in Russia. His little sister had wanted to see Colossus and he could never resist her call. Logan shouted, “Peter, just in time tin man!!”

Peter smiled and replied, “Logan!! I was in the city and planning on visiting when Xavier called me. I see our big buddy Juggernaut wants to play some more. Colossus here to help.” Peter noticed Stinger holding Kyle, whom he had never met before, and was concerned. “Is the little one alright?” He asked.

Kyle had begun to wake up and saw the new face staring caringly at him. ‘God he’s handsome
’ Kyle thought. Kyle, always ready with a cool come back, replied with a wink, “I’ll be even better if you helped me up Mr. wonderful.” Colossus blushed and gave Kyle a hand.

Aidan O’doherty had arrived at Charles’ request. Erik didn’t approve of Aidan and was slightly cross with Charles for calling him. However he didn’t make a fuss due to the fact that they indeed needed his help. Aidan was a very strong mutant and he could help them get the upper hand over the Juggernaut. “Charles why can’t you control your brother
?” Aidan said as he drove up to the group and got out of his car.
Scott decided to interrupt Aidan before too much time passed so that they could begin to take action. “Sorry to cut off the reunion Professor but Juggernaut isn’t going to wait and we need to take him down. Shall I take command?”

“Yes please.” Xavier replied.

Scott spoke loud enough for the others to hear, “Alright everyone, Juggernaut is invulnerable and highly dangerous. Psionic attacks are his weakness but they won’t work unless we remove his helmet. He’s not a mutant and his power is mystical in nature so that gives him an advantage over us because he won’t tire out as fast or for as long as we will. We need to work as a team, those with superior physical strength should try to work together to keep him occupied. Those whose powers don’t affect him should focus on subduing the Morlocks. I need not have to tell you that you are to try to harm them as minimally as possible. Once juggernaut’s helmet is removed we can launch a psionic assault on him and subdue him so telepath’s be on standby. Be careful and stick together. X-men, let’s move!”

The fight was intense, and no one seemed to be holding back. Coming up to where Charles was, she was surprised at the faces of some she hadn't seen in a long while, like Aidan. She was more surprised to have caught a glimps of Vincent, a huge smile forming. She wanted nothing more than to jump on him and give his hair a toss around, but it wouldn't be the proper timing. Especially with the fight going on.

Mia jumped back at the sudden apperance of a large rock debris falling in front of her, inches from where she stood, and her heart skipped a beat. That was close.. Just then she could hear Charles.“If I could ask of you all to handle the Morlocks that would be a great help.

It was when he spoke that Mia remembered she had left her purse back in her office at the restaurant. That ment her sai's were also there. "Uuuugghh..." She hung her head with mumbling, shaking it back and forth slightly. "Well that blows.."

Looking up, she looked towards everyone engaged in a current fight. Her eyes quickly caught sight of a tiny girl, pink dress torn at the ends with the color fading from pink to brown from the dirt. Tiny fists here balled up at her eyes, tears streaming down her face. And behind her was one of the Morlocks. Clenching her teeth together, Mia took off running to the girl, grabbing a rock from the ground as she ran past, throwing it as hard as she could. It knocked the morlock in the side of the head, and Mia scooped up the girl, who cried about being separated from her dad. She bounced her up and down as she ran, trying to calm the girl. "Shhh it's ok. We'll find your dad don't worry."

As the battle continued to rage around him, Ryan heard Vincent's voice in his head. "Ryan! You don’t know how glad I am to see you. Gosh friend you’ll have to tell me how this new look came about! Ryan I know there is little time, but do know that one’s appearance is not what makes them a monster, it’s their heart and their actions. You my brother, are no monster. You have the heart of an angel. Never forget that, your heart is your strength and that is what we’re all depending on Ryan."

Ryan thought quietly to himself, "Thank you Vincent. Maybe being who I am, being like this... Maybe it's not so bad." Just then, Ryan whipped his head around. He smelled that metallic tang in the air, and smiled. It could only be... it had to be... "Thantos!" Ryan called out, as he whipped his head around to see Thantos dive out of the air and smack a golem in the face. Ryan liked fighting with Thantos. The two were good friends and even better partners. Thantos appeared to be having some issues. He wasn't as effective as he usually was. However, he was doing ok, he managed to bring one down.

Just as Ryan was in the process of disassembling another golem, they all backed away from him and grouped up. He'd found destroying them was more difficult that he'd previously anticipated, they started to reassemble unless you smashed the gem in the center. Ryan disengaged from the fight and adopted a defensive posture, he was down on all fours, his tail lashing wildly. The golems were all grouped around a single boy with black hair (OOC: Terra). Should he fight with this boy? It seemed ok to destroy the golems, they were just made out of stone. However, in this new form, could he hold himself back against something made of flesh? "I don't want to fight with you!" Ryan called out to the boy, "If you're controlling these golems tell them to stand down. The X-Men here, under the direction of Professor Charles Xavier, are simply here to detain that giant monster." Ryan said, pointing to the Juggernaut. "We have no reason to fight with you. Just turn around and we'll leave you alone. If you all retreat, you'll be allowed to leave peacefully. Our only concern here is that thing." Ryan said, once again referring to the Juggernaut.

However, it seemed the boy and the golems, who appeared to be under his control, had other plans for Ryan. Instead of talking, like Ryan would have preferred to do, they all shifted forward, challenging Ryan, who had struck first. Ryan slunk lower to the ground, a low growl rumbling forth from his throat. The golems answered back with a roar of their own. It was so loud, it shook the ground and grated against his ears like the sound of an earthquake. Ryan stepped back. They weren't backing down. Fine, Ryan would do what had to be done. "So be it!" Ryan roared and dove forward towards the golems, sprinting towards them on all fours. He leaped high into air, landing on top of one and smashing its gem.

Ryan jumped off as it crumbled to the ground. Roaring in defiance of the giant golems. Just as he was about to jump on top of another one, he felt a vice like grip attach itself to his tail and he was whipped into the air. The golem swung him around, smashing him into the ground. Ryan's body was being tossed around like a rag doll, however, something was different, strange even. The impacts didn't hurt that much. The bruises and scrapes weren't forming. Sure he was covered in scales, but they couldn't negate all the damage he had to be taking. Was he healing... faster? "No time to test this out," Ryan thought. "I gotta get out of here." Ryan whipped his legs around, stabilizing himself mid-air while the golem flailed him around. Ryan grabbed onto the golem's arm with his arms and legs and held on. When the golem finally stopped shaking him, Ryan planted his feet on the ground, dropped his hips as low as he could, and hip threw the giant golem, tossing it over his shoulder and smashing it onto the ground, roaring as loud as he could while he did it. It let go of his tail and he jumped on top it, and punched it directly on its gem and it smashed easily. Ryan jumped off as what was left of the golem shattered and returned to the ground.

"We can't keep this up." Ryan muttered to himself. Ryan looked over at the boy with the black hair, who seemed to be studying him, as if he were some foreign anomaly. He was the one who was controlling them. If Ryan took him down, the golems would stop. However, it wasn't as simple as he thought. The golems were regenerating slowly. Not wasting anymore time, Ryan charged at the boy with the black hair, intent on getting him to stop his geological assault.

Sliding on the ground in a crouched position, she managed to dodge the electricity of the morlock chasing after her. She could feel the girl trembling in her arms, afraid of what was chasing them, what would happen, of not seeing her father again.

The morlock was catching up, Mia's stride slowed by the extra weight. Rounding the corner, she bumped into something hard, and stumbled back a few paces. A stone Golum stood in front of her, and a morlock behind her. Looking between the two, she ducked down the second the morlock shot electricity from it's fingers, the stone golum shattering. Mia bend her upper body over the young child, shielding her from the stones that flew in every direction. The Morlock shielded itself with it's arm, Mia scooping up a pile of dirt and throwing it in the morlocks eyes the second it lowered it's arm. It was stunned, it's eyes clenched tightly closed from the sting.

Mia took this time to run, and disappear through the alley, reemerging on the other side, surprised to find camera crews standing around. For a moment she dipped back, not wanting to be caught, but then she saw the crews trying to figure out why the Camera's didnt work. Oh that's perfect!

"Daddy!!" the girl cried pointing towards the group by the cameras. a Middle aged man with a small patch of grey hair on the side of his head, looked over. "Jessica!"

Mia ran the short distance, giving the girl to her father, who thanked her, while crying and cradling his daughter in his arms. Nodding to him, she ran back into the fight, ignoring the questions that came from the bystanders, and crew. Grabbing a log from one of the buildings door frames that were crushed, she used it to smack the morlock that chased her upside the head. "Quit involving innocent children!" she growled.

Just as the Leviathan was closing in for the kill, a girl tackled him. The pair tumbled to the ground, but the Leviathan wasn't playing around. His claws found his their mark around her throat. He lifted her into the air, growled at her distastefully, and threw her from him. She wasn't the rock giant and she wasn't the boy with the stick, and she was in his way. This seemed to have displeased the giant, it yelled and ran over towards her, "Canaan! Canaan wake up! Are you okay? Canaan say something!" but all Canaan could do was look around before she passed out.

"Canaan!" The giant let out a deafening roar full of anger and pain, it turned to face the Leviathan, who lowered to all fours and once again, prepared himself to kill the monster. The giant charged, the earth around him began to tremble and crack, his arm began to regenerate; the earth once more becoming his armor. Tensing his legs the giant jumped high, his fists raised above his head and he brought them down, intent on crushing the Leviathan. Just then, the Leviathan felt a pulling sensation on his hind legs. He looked back and saw the boy with the stick, that he thought he'd discarded, reaching out towards him. As the giant fell on top of him, the Leviathan realized he wouldn't be able to dodge. He growled impatiently, attempting to get free. Thinking fast, the Leviathan jumped back, his movement aided by the pulling on his hind feet. A large crater formed where the giant's fists smashed into the ground, cracks began to form as the pavement broke away forming piles on top each other. The giant reached out towards the body of the girl the Leviathan had discarded, picking her up gently in his large arms and walking away; ignoring the Leviathan. The Leviathan no longer sensed fighting spirit. Killing unwilling and unprepared prey was worthless. It wasn't worth it if the prey wouldn't fight back.

The Leviathan, did however, turn his head towards the boy with the stick. It seemed he'd hampered him from attacking the giant, but he'd also saved him by providing extra backward propulsion. The Leviathan kicked off his shoes. The pulling sensation from earlier seemed to be coming from them, there must be something special about them. Regardless, the Leviathan sensed fighting spirit, and he wanted to see what it tasted like. He charged the boy with the stick, pouncing on top of him, and pinning him to the ground. The Leviathan growled softly, looking deeply into the boy's eyes. There was sadness there. He didn't want to fight for the glory of it, and he wasn't fighting to kill the Leviathan. It was a strange look, but it obviously didn't want to fight anymore. The Leviathan decided he could live. However, if he tried to hamper him again, the Leviathan could die. Scaring him away was his best bet. The Leviathan roared as loud as he could in the boy's face. If that didn't scare him away, he deserved to die foolishly.

The Leviathan leaped off of the boy, looking around for worthy prey. He saw a massive creature throw off bindings made of shadow and light. It was strong. It was, however, giving the multiple people it was fighting trouble, and deep, somewhere in his psyche, the Leviathan felt something pushing him towards the monster. He needed to protect the people there. He felt a deep bond with the group of people engaging that raging behemoth. He charged off into the battle. He was tired, and slowing down from his fight with the stone giant, but he felt a need, more pressing than hunger and survival, to bring down the behemoth in order to protect the people it was fighting. As he ran over to them, a pair of mutants punched the monster in the chest, sending him flying. The Leviathan changed direction, heading straight for the monster, who was now slowly getting up. Roaring his presence to the new prey, the Leviathan leaped into the air, pouncing on top of the behemoth and setting him off balance.

The Leviathan struck at the behemoth's head, pounding it with his fists and scraping it with his claws, but nothing seemed to phase it. It's head was odd shaped and hard, nothing was even wounding it. He appeared to have some sort of covering on top of him, bound in place by some odd mechanism. He kicked at it with his powerful legs, attempting to dislodge the cover and expose his real head. Just as he could feel the mechanism loosening, he felt a vice like grip enclose around his body. The behemoth's massive hands had found him, and were tightening very quickly, threatening to squeeze the life out of him. The Leviathan felt his body compress and howled in pain, clawing at the hands that held him and biting the soft flesh. He managed to get his knees underneath the monster's fingers and kicked out as hard as he could. At first nothing moved, but slowly, the grip loosened. The Leviathan roared in defiance, pushing against his bindings with all of his strength. Then, the Leviathan felt something change. The spines on his back and his horns lengthened, his scales thickened, and his canines grew. His claws became more jagged and wicked, growing longer and harder. The Leviathan felt his whole body strengthen, he pushed even harder against the monster's hands with renewed vigor, until the Leviathan was almost completely free of them. However, it seemed the contest of strength bored the behemoth, who reasserted his grip around the Leviathan's body in an instant and threw him. The Leviathan flew through the air until he felt something stop him. The air pressure from the speed he was moving made it impossible to move his tail and limbs to adjust his body mid-flight. He crashed into a building and blacked out instantly, his body exhausted, and his mind fading. The Leviathan's eyes slowly closed and he drifted off into sleep.

she had been watching the reporters go wild as they tried desperately to fix their cameras but no matter what they did the equipment was screwed for life. 'their not particularly smart are they' shaking her head Agent Six walked away from the car, she hadn't even gone far before a small group of morlocks surrounded her. they began to taunt her saying something about her being a weak blind human girl and since they didn't care that she was "human" in their eyes they attacked her but the way they moved they were like animals and she easily dodged their blows or at least used their momentum to move with them. bending low she grabbed a broken pipe from the ground and thwacked two morlocks in the head. then with surprisingly great accuracy and strength beyond that which was normal for a frail blind girl she threw the pipe at the last remaining morlock who upon seeing his friends get taken down by a blind girl ran. the pipe hit him in that back of his head and he fell, unmoving.

without so much as shred of emotion Agent Six dusted herself off and realized one of them ripped her sleeve a bit 'nothing a little sewing cant fix' and walked away once more passing by the ring of reporters, onto the streets and headed in the general direction of where the X mansion, passing a van on her way.

Adria

Adria had heard the telepathy message about Juggernaut on the loose in the downtown area, and had chosen to ignore it. There was a lot present on her mind, a thing she was having a hard time accepting. Why was the mission bothering her? What was so special about this particular one that bothered her so much? Never had she run into this particular problem of guilt, and sadness. It almost felt like she was two different people, sharing one body.

Adria was also curious to know who that man was at the door way of the infirmary the day before. He had disappeared and reappeared in a flash. The next thing she knew she was waking up in the infirmary yet again, and the man was no where in sight. Many thoughts of what he could have done rolled around in her head, with nothing good coming from it.

She needed a change of scenery. The infirmary was dull and depressing. Grabbing her black hoodie, she slipped it on over her head, hissing through clenched teeth at the pain from her side and arm. Leaving the hood up, the words 'White & Nerdy' stood out. She had gone to a Weird Al concert a few years back, and found him fascinating, as well as hilarious.

Slipping off the bed, she left the infirmary, making her way to the elevator. On the way, she passed the danger room, and took a moment to look at the damage that had been done.

The floor was all unleveled like an earthquake happened, scorch marks along the walls. The bodies of the dead soldiers were removed, but the blood remained. It was indeed an intense battle that anyone can figure out with the way the room looked. With a sigh and a shake of her head, Adria continued past the room to the elevator, the door closing shut behind her.

Mia

The morlock had spun with stars flying around it's head before dropping to the ground unconscious. Dropping the log to her side, she dusted her hands off. "That will render him useless for a while.."

Screeching tires behind her grabbed her attention. A van had halted it's trek, Morlocks jumping on the hood, and back. Mia shook her head. "They never learn do they?" she mumbled. Looking around for something, anything she could throw at them to distract them from the occupants of the van, Mia picked up a handful of small rocks, chucking them one at a time at the Morlocks. A few managed to hit their targets, the Morlocks looking over at her. "You-hoo~ Over here! Look at me!" She waved, and danced around, slapping hands on her knees. The Morlock on the hood slid off, making his way over to her. Mia smiled, and took off running in the other direction. If there was one thing she was proud of, it was how fast she could run. She only hoped the others would follow as she lead them through now abandoned shops, criss crossing and leading them up and down.

After a good while, she was back near the Van, peaking around the corner from the direction the van first came, looking at it's backside. "Well at least they are in the clear now.." She said, making her way up to it, knocking on the side. "Everyone alive and well in there?"

Black Jack

I am unavailable at the present time. Leave your name, number, what you are asking for, and how much you will pay. The computer generated answering machine talked to an empty living room. Someone was home. There was a light on in the upstairs loft, illuminating it's surroundings. It wasn't a big place, apartment sized with a bottom floor for the kitchen, living room, and dinning room, with a set of stairs going up to the second floor, where the bathroom and bedroom were located. The shower was on, a single shadow casted on the curtain.

He bent down, turning the water off, letting the remaining droplets fall from him. Sliding the shower door open, he grabbed his towel, wrapping it around his waist, tucking the end in securely. The answering machine beeped a few times, letting him know there was a message waiting. Making his way down the stairs, he pushed the button to play the message as he made his way to the Kitchen, grabbing himself a glass of Milk. It was his favorite, and he could go through a 4 liter jug in less than two days. There was nothing uncool about healthy teeth and bones.

"Trask. No number. Central Park North. Same amount. 2100 hours."

One side of Travis's lips curled up into a half smile, eyes staring at the answering machine. How convenient.. just who I wanted to talk too..

When the Xavier school was under attack, he paid a visit to Adria. During his sweep of the grounds, the weapon was still within the walls of the Danger Room. Stopping by the next day for only a few minutes, he had learned that Trask had indeed sucessfully retrieved the weapon. It was what he was hoping for. Had they failed to take it, he would have had to wait longer for his plan to take action. Not much longer now..

Mutt Ant

“Morlocks, they’re kind of like their own civilisation of mutants almost all fitting into the Epsilon class. Since they can’t ever hope to blend in with humans they went underground. Literally, they’ve lived in the old cold war shelters for decades now. However their current leader is a bit of a nutjob and wants to try and take the surface for her egocentric self.” Mutt replied almost automatically. “I wouldn’t worry about trying to know ‘em all to be honest. There’s hundreds some good some bad some not really bothered what they’re classed as, mutants are everywhere.” He smiled.

"If it's as bad as you say, they probably already know about it. Probably get hurt in the crossfire anyway."

Mutt considered the suggestion, “That’s true, I hadn’t thought of that. Then in that case let’s hide till it’s safe and then I’ll drop you somewhere in the clear.”

Mutt didn’t move for a moment after the impact instead just stared transfixed at where the Morlock had been stood, he didn’t even seem to be breathing until Fred made to grab the door handle. “No! Stop!” he pulled the boy back into his seat with left arm, keeping himself firmly in his seat at the same time. “That was a Morlock and at the moment we’re its enemies.”

For some moments nothing happened, it almost seemed they were in the clear till a small hoard of Morlocks sprang from around them battering the sides of the van with the make-shift weapons they had collected in the looting. “Shit! Shit! Shit! Bloody, Shit!” Mutt cried out pressing down the master lock on his door as he did so.

"You-hoo!”

The small voice broke through the angry shouts of the Morlocks and seemed to draw their attention away. Mutt breathed a sigh of relief when they had gone and lowered his arm from where he had Fred pinned in his seat. “Sorry about that. Are you ok?” He asked, picking up his dustbin-shield just in case they came back.

"Everyone alive and well in there?"

Mutt jumped at the voice, spinning himself around ready to scream once again, instead to be greeted with the face of a young woman who was thankfully without the usual traits of a Morlock. However with his mouth and eyes wide clutching at a bin lid, Mutt probably did not look like a perfectly normal person. He eventually managed to compose himself and wheeled the window down. “Yes, thank you so much!” he exhaled, restraining himself from hanging out and hugging the woman.

Instead he got out of the vehicle in the traditional manner though he still took his make-shift shield with him. “Are all the Morlocks gone now?”

"Well I guess if I didn't know anything about them before, now I know all I ever really wanted to know about the Morlocks." The young mutant quipped, not exactly sure whether or not he was being sarcastic or not. After a moment's thought, though he decided on the proper response regardless. "Thanks."

“No! Stop!”

As he started to open the door, the other man grabbed him and pushed him back into his seat. This kind of situation was not an uncommon story in the homeless community, and was accepted as part of life. You get a ride, you have to pay for it somehow, and most homeless folks didn't have much in the way of money. Still, it seemed a bit inconvenient at the time, especially with the Morlock on the ground outside.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to just walk-" He started, turning his head to give the man an irritated look, but the man seemed afraid, not intent on something else. "I think I can handle someone who just got hit by a car." He responded, jerking a thumb at the Morlock on the ground. Then the rest of them jumped out to attack, and the man started to shout.

“Shit! Shit! Shit! Bloody, Shit!”

"Yeah, I liked the hiding thing better, I think." He said, wincing at the noise from the beating the van was recieving, and maybe from the terrified cries of the man next to him. Not that he wasn't scared, he'd just been scared in similar situations before. True, homeless humans weren't the same as Morlocks, but a squatter was a squatter, wasn't it?

Something distracted the Morlocks swarming the car, causing them to rush off en masse in chase of whatever it was that had caught their attention. Frederick felt himself getting a little curious as to what it was, curious about what had been impressive enough to pull an angry bunch of mutants from a defenseless target.

Suddenly the arm pinning him to his seat was pulled away, the man asking if he was alright. Looking at the man's makeshift shield, Frederick quirked an eyebrow. "Well, I think I'll live, though my stomach's starting to act up." Act up was an understatement. He could feel the bile starting to kick up into his throat, threatening to activate his gag reflex and start him vomiting. "So I'm going to step out of the vehicle now."

"Everyone alive and well in there?"

As he slipped out of the door, Frederick twisted his head around to pinpoint the sound of the voice, a young woman he didn't recognize. Not a homeless person then. The thought twisted the corner of his mouth up into a mirthless smile, and he opened his mouth to deliver a suitably witty response. He quickly turned away, though, to vomit on the street nearby, losing what little he had had to eat recently and spreading it liberally across the pavement. Pulling his blanket around himself, he tried to stand tall, tried to salvage some of his dignity. He turned back to the young woman.

"Alive, anyway." He said, reaching up to wipe his mouth on his arm, then his arm on the inside of his blanket before pulling it around himself again.

The others didn’t seem too pleased with the invitation of Juggernaut to the mansion. Xavier understood their feelings but Juggernaut was his brother and he much needed to make peace with him if at all possible. Things were, for a moment, slightly calm. The fighting had ceased yet agitation lingered in the air. The police and armed forces were headed toward the scene of the incident. Most of the morlocks had fled or were incapacitated. Calypso ordered those who could to retreat and carry anyone who wasn’t able to flee on their own strength away to the safety of the sewers.

Logan noticed Ace appear near him. He knelt down to make sure she was alright. She seemed to be in a good deal of pain. He could hear the sirens nearing them. The police would be there in a matter of moments. “We’d better get the hell outta dodge Professor!” Logan called to Charles.

Vincent touched his head to perform a mental probe of the minds in the nearby area. “The military is coming
A special force assigned as a countermeasure to mutants. They believe that we were in on the Juggernaut’s attack, that we intended to harm the city. Logan is right we must leave now.” Vincent said to the group, his tone seemingly calm.

Aidan, with a flirtatious grin on his face, softly and quickly stroked Hideki’s cheek with his finger and said, “Well Love, it looks like I should be taking my leave now. Tell Charles to take care of you well until I come to whisk you away for myself.” Aidan had seriously taken up a fascination and liking to Hideki, one to which confused and flustered Hideki. Aidan then turned to Charles and spoke, “Well Charles it’s been great fun but at last I bid you goodbye. Try not to get caught lad.” With that Aidan spoke a few words and utterly vanished into thin air using his power.

The armed forces came and began to attempt to set a perimeter up around the area. Cain was very upset with the situation. He began to use his telepathic abilities to communicate with the countermeasures group. “We were trying to stop this aggressive non-mutant’s attack on the city. We’ve done no one harm. Call your forces off now.” Cain was very serious in tone. Charles and Vincent knew that if the armed forces didn’t allow them passage Cain would indeed strike them down.

The armed forced replied, “You are to stand down mutant hostiles. Surrender yourselves to the house of mutant registration immediately! I repeat, surrender yourselves to the house of mutant registration immediately!”

A moment passed and no action was taken. Charles had begun to use his powers to telepathically cloak the entire team of mutants from the vision of the armed forces. “Let’s retreat now. Those of you that can make it to the blackbird head there for transport. Mutt Ant should be nearby and possibly able to drive a few back to the mansion. I will contact him telepathically and ask him for this favor. Kent also has a Vehicle and can take some to safety. We shall meet back at the mansion. We leave no one behind understood?” Charles communicated with the group telepathically.

Victor was curious about the young woman that had her hand on his cheeks as he woke up from previously being knocked into a nearby building. He hadn’t spoken a word to her yet. He was simply observing her. She was definitely a mutant but she didn’t seem like the physically advanced type like him. He began to smirk a little. “She’s pretty cute.” He thought to himself. He decided to make his way back to the Blackbird to head to the X-mansion. He turned to Annabelle and finally spoke, “Hey you coming on the jet or not?” He asked with a tilted head and a raised eyebrow.

One by one everyone made their way back to the X-mansion. No one seemed to have been caught by the armed forces. Vincent was able to persuade Cain to stand down and not attack the threatening humans. Cain hated the fact that they had to run away like they were the guilty ones. They were being pegged like villains, mutants who were pure evil, but they were in actuality good and trying to stop a magically enhanced human that was running amok. He didn’t like the world as it was, a world that Vincent, his counterpart had grown to accept.

When things settled down, Cain spoke to Charles, Vincent, Magneto, and Pietro. They all came to grips with who and what Cain was. Charles and Magneto accepted Cain immediately with joy and gladness as their new son just as they had with Vincent. Afterward Cain was approached by Philip. Philip had heard in detail about Cain from Vincent but was curious about a few things. Philip knocked on Cain’s room door.

Cain answered by opening the door with his matter manipulation abilities. He sat on his bed relaxing and motioned for Philip to enter. After the two greeted one another, Cain asked, “So what bring you here Philip.” He looked up at Philip with a genuinely bright smile. He was happy to see Philip the feeling was different than that he felt for others.

“I was curious about what was said in the talk with Vincent and the others. You said that you feel what Vincent feels as if they were your own feelings, like how he feels about the people Vincent cares about.” Philip asked hesitantly.

“Yes. That’s right.” Cain replied calmly. After a brief moment of silence Cain continued. “I suppose you’re wondering where you and I stand with each other huh? That’s a wise thing for you to want to straighten out Philip. I shouldn’t have expected anything less from my brother’s lover.” Cain chuckled a little.

Philip was still nervous. “Well?” Philip asked nervously. Speaking to Cain was like speaking to a new side of Vincent’s personality that had a different face and body. It made Philip slightly uneasy yet slightly flustered. He felt close with him yet very distant at the same time. It was indeed a strange phenomenon.

Cain replied, “I share most of the same feelings that Vincent feels emotionally and I understand him as if we were still the same being. In the case of you
like Vincent, I love you, romantically. When you’re in Vincent’s presence his heart flutters. My heart flutters just like his when you’re around me. He wants to do things to you, so do I. In fact, I’m telepathically calming myself as we speak so that my emotions don’t get the better of me a do something to you that you and I will regret. So yes, we are very strongly linked, Vincent and I. However, I will never act on my emotions for you. You’re dating my other half after all, not me. You needn’t worry, I won’t ever act on these feelings and eventually I’ll perfect controlling them, I hope.” Cain began to blush a little. He felt bad that he had to have this conversation with Philip and for making Philip worried.

Philip finally smiled as he began to feel relief from worry. “I see. I’m sorry Cain, it must be difficult for you to deal with.” Philip replied.

“For now, it’s a little challenging but it also feels nice. I like being in love, It’s like receiving all the pleasurable highlights of love without actually having to do anything. I feel like I’m cheating a little. Hahaha
” Cain chuckled.

Cain reassured Philip once more and he gave Philip a hug. The two parted ways and Cain decided to take a much needed nap. The events of the day played back through his mind. He remembered his frustrations, and joys. He was glad that Philip came. It put him at ease where he before felt a bit on edge.

Mia listened to her surroundings for a few seconds. Juggernaut seemed to be still on his rampage, but there was no morlocks around. Either they were finished and were running away, or they were regrouping. "I think they are gone yeah.. Juggernaut is still running loose, but it will only be a matter of time before he is brought down."

She eyed the makeshift shield, her lips curling up into a smile. She lifted her hand, and stuck her index finger out, poking at the front of it. "Resourceful.. Been caught in the middle of fights often?"

Mia's face fell, her hand coming up to cover her mouth. She was never good with seeing someone loose their insides. Just seeing it made Mia want to get sick, but she held it in. Sympathetic vomiter for the win. She turned her back to Frederick, swallowing as often and as quickly as she could. Her insides were doing flip flops. Taking a few more swallows for safety, she turned back to Frederick. "Alive is good. Glad your feeling better now." She responded with a smile, hoping she didn't offend him.

"I'm Mia by the way." She smiled, the greeting delayed by the pending fight. She stuck her hand out for them to shake.
Just then Vincent's voice rang in her head, warning of the military coming in. Mia looked at Mutt and Frederick with a serious expression. "Mind if we take the introductions someplace else? We have company coming that we don't want to see."
