Appearance: Rogue is 5'7" and weighs approximately 110 lbs, she has brown eyes and rich brown hair that falls to her waist. She has a delicate face and pale skin with a touch of red in the cheeks, whilst not classically pretty she is striking. She has a slender build with small breasts and hips, though she eats well she has always been thin. However her body has begun to gain muscle since she began training at the school. The first thing people usually notice is that she has two large white streaks in her hair on either side of her face.
Mutant Name: Rogue
Mutant Power: Power Absorption - Rogue has the ability to absorb the life energy, personality, memories, and mutant abilities of every person who she touches. Can absorb the memories, knowledge, talents, personality and physical abilities (whether superhuman or not) of another human being through physical contact of her skin with the skin of the other person. She is not limited to absorbing superhuman abilities: for example, she has absorbed the strength, agility, and sharp reflexes of an enhanced human. She can also absorb psionic abilities. In absorbing another persons memories Rogue also gains the emotional responses connected to them. For the transfer of abilities to be accomplished, Rogue’s skin must contact the skin of her victim. Rogue can only absorb abilities and memories from living organic beings. She can possess the powers of several superhuman persons at once. No upper limit has yet been determined for the number of superhuman beings whose power she can maintain simultaneously, or for the amount of power that she can absorb. Rogue can even absorb gross physical characteristics from a victim. Her physical appearance does not change when she absorbs abilities and memories from a normal looking human being.
However, she is unable to control this power, which is why she covers every part of her body except her head. If she touches them for too long, then she could kill them. A side effect of her ability is that a psychic imprint of the person she absorbs stays with her and remain in her mind.
Non Mutant abilities: Rogue was not skilled in any physical activities before joining the school but since then she has been learning how to use her body in a fight. She is also a talented musician in that she has great skill at playing the piano.
Personality: Before coming to Professor Xaviers school for the gifted, Rogue was a fun, bubbly and generally outgoing. She was like any other teenager dreaming of travelling the world and interested in boys and fashion etc. This all changed when her power first manifested destroying the sheltered life she knew. Since then experience of the darker side of life and her inability to touch another living being have drastically changed her personality. She is quieter now and more hesitant and shy, although she is by no means a wallflower as she still laughs and enjoys herself around her friends. She is mature for her age having had to grow up fast and her stubborn streak has developed into a strong will and determined temperament. She can be prone to dark moods usually when her inability to touch others becomes too much, this is more frequent lately since Bobby and Kitty became a couple.

Background: Marie D'Ancanto was born in Meridian, Mississippi. She had a typical childhood and as a teenager dreamed of travelling when she left home. Her life changed however when she kissed a boy for the first time and her power manifested, the boy ended up in a coma and she ran away from home.
Marie, now calling herself Rogue, attempted to hitch a ride with Wolverine after discovering that he too was a mutant. When he discovered her Logan agreed to take her where she needed to go in Canada. They bonded during their short trip until the Brotherhood attacked them and they were rescued by Storm and Cyclops of the X-Men.
Her time with the x-men to begin with was unpredictable and dangerous with the x-men being attacked by Mystique who was working for Magneto. Rogue was then captured by him to be used in his scheme to make humans into mutants. She was rescued by the other x-men and saved from dying by Wolverine. This was when she gained the white streaks in her hair and also for a time had a crush on Logan but this has since faded and she now views him as a sort of uncle/father figure. She also had to deal with the school being attacked and having to escape this fate and then help the remaining free members to defeat their enemy and rescue the others. During this time she and Bobby, also known as Iceman, became a couple despite her inability to be intimate with anyone. Eventually though Bobby became unable to deal with this and was instead attracted to fellow x-man Kitty Pryde and the relationship between him and Rogue ended.
Things have settled down somewhat since then with Rogue continuing her studies and training, she has since become a fully fledged member of the x-men and has many friends. She is still unable to control her power and still unable to touch anyone without harming them, and as such she still keeps all of her skin covered apart from her face and hair. She is still struggling to get over her feelings for Bobby but lately she has found herself thinking of Scott more than she used to.
