Welcome to Gaia! The best restaurant / bar in town, if you’re anybody important you know you ought to be here, there’s girls, guys even an entertainment band with plenty of alcohol what more can you ask for?
Of course you have to know the right people in order to get there since Gaia is hidden in the alley ways of humble Chicago and it’s easy to get lost finding your way if you haven’t been there before.

Oh wait!

There’s only one catch.

You have to be a Yokai.

Yes that’s right you didn’t mishear, Gaia is a secret place only meant for those few known as Yokai to relax and take a break from their lives. Not all of them eat humans after all, infact not all of them want to be a bother to humans, most of them just want to get on with their long nearly immortal lives.

What are Yokai you ask?

Well, Yokai are the creatures you read about in fairy tales, they’re the creatures from myths such as Kappa and demons.
Another word known for Yokai are spirits by the Japanese, or monsters, but most know them as supernatural beings whose sole purpose is to evoke fear into humans. Fear after all is how they gain their power.

Can you dare to face a Yokai without screaming or finding yourself fascinated?
Doubt it.

Facts:

• Yokai search for any means to be powerful in their own ways, each type of Yokai has a clan, their clan is their family and inheritance as they learn from the clan leader and so forth.
• Clans each rule over a certain amount of land.
• The more Humans that worship local deity’s the more powerful Yokai clans can become since worship deity’s means humans have fears.
• Clans often bicker when it comes to eating humans in recent times though they never used to in the old times.
• The sacred Oracle crystal is a dazzling white and is sought out by all Yokai as harvesting its power can grant great power. However it also makes the user become crazy for human blood.
• Therefore a few Yokai clans have dedicated themselves to protecting the Oracle crystal in order to keep humans save from the Yokai that would gladly eat them.
• Yokai have human cloaks.

PLOT:
The Oracle crystal was stolen in a raid, however in the fight for it the crystal was smashed and spread into the heavens towards the west. It has been lost for two decades (20yrs) and the clans protecting it have grown restless at the thought of Yokai with bad intentions gaining it.

However

The crystal shards have buried themselves in the hearts of four Yokai all of whom know each other FROM WORK. They do not know of its presence and its power has no effect on their strength or mental mind since its power wasn’t evoked by them. These Yokai all work at Gaia.

Three Yokai from the great protecting clans have been sent to find the Shards together amongst many other teams. They have been searching for two decades and are beginning to lose hope; they have no clue how to find the shards other than by sensing it when they are near.

They know the shards have buried themselves within other Yokai’s hearts.

However they cannot sense the shards when they are inside another Yokai’s body, they can only guess at where the shards may be from sensing a slight strange tingle of power from a Yokai. However that sensation is common to many Yokai, hence why it has taken the three years to find the shards.

To discover the shards they would have to evoke feelings in the host Yokai enough that the shard would shine within their heart showing through their body and proving they have them.

When the three Yokai from the protecting clans go to Gaia to relax, will they stay long enough to meet the Yokai that obtain the shards?

Will they manage to make the host Yokai fall in love with them, or will they break the forbidden code of t heir mission and fall in love with the hosts?

If the protecting Yokai fall in love with the host’s that’s where the trouble starts, to get the shards back, they would have to rip out the heart of the host.

Could they do such a thing?

And it isn’t just them after the shards, the power driven human eating Yokai are also after the shards, will any of them also fall in love with a host and become troubled?

Will any of the human eating Yokai attempt to kill the hosts on a spur making the other protecting clan Yokai have to rush into action?
