ImagePhysical description

:Height:
5'11 ft

:Weight:
170 lbs

:Build:
Slim and delicate

:Hair color:
Dirty blonde

:Eye color:
Yellow green

:Clothing:
About what they wore everyday, well, it's not being decided by them. They always had to appear appropriately, which is why the clothes were chosen without their consent. Which is why you'll see both wearing dark coats with light waistcoats and trousers, or colored coats with neutral waistcoats and trousers. For neckwear, it's the cravat, a long strip of white linen, frequently starched. The clothes weren't comfortable, but weren't uncomfortable either so they stuck with it. Ernest especially, is very picky with Shoes he wears though. He preferred Hessian boots, which feature a high, notched front, a dip in back, and colored trim along the upper edge rather than its variation.

:Distinguish Marking:
Bushier eyebrows and better skin than his twin. Also his teeth are a fraction snagglier.

:Impression:
Unlike many in the same social standing as him, he leaves a rather gentle and sympathic impression, even rather amusant and thoughtful at first encounter and also afterwards. Owning a charming smile, Ernest is a wanted man among the rich men daughters and is said to be more handsome than his twin. More like an idol you admire from afar.

Personality
Gentle || Soft-spoken || Sensitive || Polite || Kind || Passionate || Slow || Reserved || Secretive || Stubborn

What can I say? Ernest is a gentle, soft-spoken gentleman who does little to none rude actions, especially not towards a woman. Respectful towards the opposite gender, treat them like a fragile piece of beautiful glass, it isn't such a wondrous thing of him to be popular among them. Empathic and very kind, he can stand by at any situation, happy or sad, without hurting anyone with his words. He just knows exactly what to say and what not by nature and therefore he easily stricks himself into conversation with prior to that strangers. Ernest owns that kind of soothing and reassuring manner to speak and behave, without letting anyone misunderstand him in a way it might hurt his reputation. Very polite, without a reason to be pushy or even anything unpleasant, he is well accepted in his circles and highly seen in his young age. He is given credits to more, than he actually deserved, even gives off an intelligent and knowledgable feeling to him, which he actually doesn't possess. In the section of intelligence, he is clearly inferior to his older twin. And especially that is how he is seen.

He is actually very concerned of how others might see him, very careful when telling others about himself. It is the thought of not wanting to disappoint that driven him to his reserved and secretive individual who'll do anything if it means to protect their family's name. As how it goes, it's due to Ernest having pride in what he does, very purposeful and urges to meet several people's expectations to the fullest. That ambition keeps him strong and let him persevere in an environment he actually detest to the point he would be willing to abandon everything, wealth, social standing, money... everything, if only he can live as how he wants to. But it was impossible, that, he knows rather too well. His other half, his twin brothers was practically born to inherit their family's head throne and becomes the full-fledged representative of the whole family Davies. At least, that's how Ernest sees the situation. Or more exactly wants things to turn out.

Ernest isn't up for such responsibilities as his father has. It isn't like he isn't confident over his qualities, or perhaps it is, it's for him to decide, but Ernest just has other interests, dreams he wants to try to claim. And that is definitely far from business and politics. He just could care less about such things, it doesn't interest him the slightest. For things he doesn't feel any desire upon or the slightest interest, he'll crumble. Start to feel it's nothing for him and gives up even prior to trying it. He is confident in what he believes in, but studying, politics and business isn't meant for him. When he found himself involved in intellectual conversation exactly about the things which doesn't interest him, he'll have difficulties to follow. Not only because he lacks the intellectual for such things, but also due to him being rather slow. As if his brain completely rejects any information coming in which aren't of his interest. In that matter, he can be quite a stubborn brat, to say the facts. That's how he gives off a rather modest feeling.

History

(Occurences around their birth)
Their father, an englishmen, who put much into discipline and obedience as he was also a respected army officer, was soon as he grew old forced to marry and carry on the linage, upon the death of both of his elder brother. He inherited his father's business and therefore needed a son to continue after him. The first marriage was a disaster, as the woman he chose was weak and died at birth, her baby with her. Even his second wife proved to be useless, as by the second child she didn't produce a boy. Disappointed by their incapability, the 60th years old man settled down, refused to try any further as his second wife was again pregnant. At first, the man was suspicious, refused to believe it was his child. But soon he had to withdraw the topic, seeing it as the last chance to continue the Davies linage. Their birth were awaited, both by his mother and his father, but never they thought and intended that two were coming out of the womans womb, showing themselves for the outside world to see. Ernest birth was a little later than his twin brother or to be exact by approximately ten minutes, however, everything was already decided. Ephraim was to inherit his father's business. Their future were already been planned since ahead of time of their existence.

(Childhood)
There was a day my father was absent. He wasn't there, perhaps a business trip, I don't remember well. What I do remember, in a shocking blatancy is how my mother behaved without her husbands presence. As a kid, I knew nothing. I wasn't suspicious in anything she does. She was my mother, I loved her even though she rarely visit me in my chambers. I believed, she was the most beautiful lady any man could wish for. I was proud to be her and father's child. But she invited that stranger inside, who from th every start appear nothing like a nobleman. Even as I was little, his presence scared me. His eyes were so cold it penetrated me I couldn't barely move. It was plain obvious: He was an unwanted man in the manor, I wanted him to go away, be gone and far away from my mother. However, I could see her smile, hear her laughter. Never have I heard even the slightest similar to that when she was around father. It was a completely different mother, a happy mother. Despite the man's presence disgust me, I didn't tell anyone what happened that day. Now I am positive that that man was actually my and my brother's real father.

(Teens)
Ephraim spent most of his time inside, studying. Ernest did too, but soon the teachers knew whom they should better teach to not make their efforts a time-wasting attainment. That's why Ernest could often go to Operas and Theaters, and it was more often Ernest who attend a party. They were still teens and had time, but who would've thought Ephraim was beginning to fail in conversational skill and mannerism, and began to rebell? Ernest was of course, oblivious to what actually happened around them. However, Ephraim knew; his father searched for their older sisters husbands even before they reach 16 year old. It was indeed odd, as Ephraim though he had a solid position, knowing well if it comes out he and Ernest were the illegitimate children, born from a cheating wife, his father's reputation wil suffer greatly. Yet he did what he did, and it angered Ephraim. He wasn't sure of to impress his father or just spread open a wound by insulting his throne, but he did both of them in his own ways. Ernest meanwhile could only watch, didn't really understand the whole situation. His brother assumed that to be for his best, but soon he had to reveal the truth to him, and then Ernest told him what he observed when he was a child. Ephraim is noticed to be very eager to know all the details.

It was early morning at Willowcrock Manor, it was early spring and the grounds were full of life. The birds singing, bees humming, the tree budding with the signs of life that had been diminished all winter. That time of year that always brings the promise of new life, and possibly new love. Naturally the world outside the house was buzzing just as much as the world inside of Willowcrock Manor. It may have been quite early but the whole household was already up and moving preparing for that evenings events. A grand ball, put on by Master Thomas Linford on the behalf of his two lovely daughters. Eligible young bachelors from Melbourneshire and the surrounding areas, were invited along with some of the ladies that were around the age of the young Linford girls. To most it was just the Linfords being their typical hospitable selves. They were well known all over Melbourneshire for throwing some of the most lavish parties, and then inviting the whole town to join in the festivities. This was how they appeared on the outside, on the inside however was a completely different story.

With the over spending of Mrs. Linford, combined with the bad gambling habits of Mr. Linford they were terribly in debt. Not even their daughters were privy to the extent of the families financial troubles. Their first try at easing the debt had been to drop many of their servants, now left with only their butler, the cook, the maid, and the stable boy who had begged the Linfords to stay that and practically works for room and board. If you can call it that, he sleeps in the lofts over the stables, the Linfords of course had to step in themselves to cover the duties that the dismissed servants had left. Meaning the aristocrats had to learn to do menial tasks that they would never think to sully their hands with. The next to be limited was the girls clothing, now this was something that didn't bother their daughter Esther much, she was never one to worry too much about keeping up with the fashions. However her sister Rowena was devastated with the fact that in order to keep up with the other girls. She had to rework many of her old dresses in hopes that no one would notice that she was wearing the same gown that she had worn to the last cotillion.

The next step was to start cutting down on the amount of gatherings they were having, at one time the Linfords were having parties at least once a week at their home, ladies that had once come to call on Mrs. Linford regularly for tea were now only called upon once a month. But no matter how much the tried they couldn't manage to make up their debts, now Thomas was sure that he would be put in irons and sent off to Debtors Prison. Now his concern is for his wife and daughters, Eliza his eldest he had just managed to get married off to a nice young man, but that still left his two younger daughters, Esther and Rowena. So in a last ditch effort to insure his daughters happiness, he and his wife decided to throw a lavish ball. Inviting some of the most eligible bachelors, in hopes that his daughters would catch at least one of their eyes. Even if he could manage to get Esther married his daughter Rowena could go to stay with her eldest sister till a suitable match was made. He was also hoping that news of this would not get to one of the most powerful men in Melbourneshire a man that Thomas owed money to, Mr. William Nash. However news travels fast in this town.

So as the servants and the family flitted about getting ready for the evening, food had to be prepared so Mrs. Linford was busy in the kitchen helping Mrs Cuthboard. The girls Esther and Rowena were helping each other do some last minute work on their gowns, and trying to get decorations in order. Mr. Linford had just come in from the stables helping young Leo, prepare for the buggies and horses of the guests. Artemis the butler was going over all the families silver to make sure it was polished and in tip top for the guests, when a knock came from the door. The butler was puzzled, it was far too early for guests to begin arriving and the Linfords had made sure to tell everyone not to come till preparations were finished, they didn't want to deal with the scandal that would follow if anyone knew the family was doing such menial tasks. But as the butler it was his duty to answer the door. He straighten the tails of his coat as he made his way to the door, the bell outside began to clang just before he went to turn the knob. Whomever they were, they were quite impatient to say the least, he cleared his throat and opened the door and before he could say anything the person on the other side pushed his way through the door into the foyer. The man removed his hat, and when Artemis was certain who it was he swallowed nervously.

"Good day to you sir, how might I help you this fine morning. I'm afraid the house is in sorts right, and there was no announcement of your arrival I'm afraid, we are unable to greet you properly". Artemis said with a nervous tone is his voice as he took the mans coat and hat.

Mr. Linford must have heard the door because he stepped out, still covered in sweat and hay, he looked quite a sight indeed, but he stood tall in front of the visitor. "Artemis... please send...our guest to the study".

Artemis bowed respectfully as Mr. Linford headed into his study, "Yes, sir of course", he turned to the guest. "Sir, if you would please follow me". After hanging the coat and hat, he lead the man to the study where Mr. Linford waited.
