Kiera Craton

I promise you they're there. You're just the one who can't see them.

a character in “You Know You Love Me. XXX.”, as played by AvengerSpirit

Description

Name: Kiera Craton

Age: 16

Face Claim: Sierra Kusterbeck

Appearance: Kiera has long brown hair that has lights of red or blonde, it varies. Usually it’s the red color. Usually leaves it down, but will braid it, but that’s about it. She hates pony tails. She stands at about five foot six inches tall and the thin, black boots she wears adds about an inch to her height. Wears dark colored jeans mostly with the black boots. Shirts vary the most. Loves wearing tank tops, but will wear short sleeves as well as a few long sleeve, but they are all a dark solid color. Wears black fingerless gloves all of the time. Also has a small, clear crystal on a black cord around her neck, is never seen without it.

Personality: Kiera doesn’t really talk too much of anyone. She’s the person who sits by themselves all of the time and never has any friends. She’s afraid to speak to anyone for fear of what may or may not happen let alone what the other students would think of her. She can come off as really stand offish and shy. She wants friends, but in this place she knows a true friend is probably the last thing to be found.

Why you’re at the school: Needless to say, she sees things people say aren’t there. She talks to them, or as most people think to herself. The doctors have found her mentally stable so they know it’s not a known mental condition. But she knows what she sees, hears, feels and most days she doesn’t like it.

What you thought of Abbigael: To put it bluntly, she was much too loud. Lower the voice a little and knock off a tad bit of the smart remarks and she wouldn’t have been so bad.

So begins...

Standing off to the side from everyone else, Kiera stood leaning on her left side and then shifting weight to the other side periodically. She listened to the Headmistress speaking, but barely heard the words that were coming out of the woman’s mouth. She hadn’t really known the girl very well, but she knew she had heard her and knew about her. That was about it.

Glancing around the crowd, she watched as the other students were slowly milling over into their groups. She sighed lightly as she watched a few of them before shifting her gaze again. Need to hurry up. She thought to herself as she swift her gaze across the area again.

The hair on her arms was starting to stand on edge and she was waiting for the service to hurry up and finish up. She wanted to retreat to a place she felt safer at. Something was wrong and she didn’t like the feeling.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a light shadow. Turning her head, she nodded slightly before turning back. It only confirmed that she needed to leave and soon. She didn’t know what was going to happen, but she knew it wasn’t going to be a good thing.

Conall stood beside of Lewis just shaking his head. He bent his head down towards his friend. “Someone needs to shut her shut. I don’t even think Abbigael would have liked what she’s being called.” He muttered before straightening back up so he wouldn’t be caught talking.

He really did hate the bullshit of the system they were in, but he knew there were far worse situations he could be in. He forced a wince back from his face as he did a quick sweep of the area. It appeared Greyson just showed up. How typical. Wonder why this time? He thought before turning his attention else where.

It wasn’t like his mind was focused on anything at all in particular. He traveled back and forth from classes and work he hadn’t done and then to what was for lunch. He really wanted it to be something good. He was sick of crappy food and bad choices. But hey, it could be worse right? Whatever, man.

“Can we just leave now?” He mumbled under his breath low enough where only the students especially those around him could hear him.

Standing back to watch the scenes unfold, Kiera gazed through uninterested eyes. She never let her gaze linger very long in one place before passing onto somewhere else. She didn’t really care about the conversations she could hear or the fact that everyone was still standing around not heading into classes.

Turning her gaze to where she saw the phantom shape she managed a weak smile as she listened. Nodding her head, she moved from where she was and headed off down the path a ways. It wasn’t like she always listened, but she had learned that it was much better if she did. When she didn’t bad things tended to happen. Glancing back at the group still by the tree she wondered what was going to happen this time.

Something was oddly not right and she couldn’t put her finger on it. Part of her wanted to ask someone, but she knew that would draw way too much attention to herself. She didn’t need that. She didn’t need someone, the wrong person, to notice her. She didn’t need to draw attention to herself in fear of what the really crazy ones would do.

Shaking her head, she turned back around and headed away from the grim scene. She didn’t really need to be there. There really was no point. She was invisible to everyone around her. That was the intention, but that didn’t mean she didn’t want friends too.

Conall grew bored rather quickly with the situation going on around him. He needed something fun, exciting to do. Turning to Lewis he smirked. “What to skip class?” He asked glancing around to make sure no one else was close enough to hear what he was saying. Sure he was forced to be here, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t have a little fun with it.

“It’ll only be the class before lunch anyway.” Since the memorial service seemed to be taking up so much time. If they were lucky they could just stay out there the whole day and ‘mourn’ the loss of the other student and get out of classes. That would be the best part, but he highly doubted that would be the case.

Lissa returned Greyson’s small smile as best as she could, but truth be told, the effects of the earlier events of the day which had impacted her mood so greatly had started to fade, leaving only the everyday weight of everything left and forcing her mood to spike down dramatically to its usual low levels. She was aware that Greyson was used to it by now; the little dark places she often found herself in, but even so, she tried so hard to force that tiny little smile for him. She didn’t want him to think she wasn’t happy in his presence, and while it was true she wasn’t exactly happy, she would be so much worse-off if he wasn’t there. She hoped he knew that.
When she looked up at the clouds above, that smile she forced - as hard as she tried - dimmed to but a ghost. The clouds were grey, thick: the kind that threatened rain. It seemed like the weather was worsening along with her emotions

With an involuntary little shiver, Lissa redirected her eyes down the roof, pulling her knees up to her chest and huddling up tightly to try to ward off that sudden chill she felt. The smile was now all but gone from her lips.

With narrowed eyes, Aislin gave Zac a not-too-light smack across his shoulder.
“Call me Bella again and it‘s your face,” she almost-snarled at her friend as she walked beside him. It was a fairly empty threat. She knew he knew the constant reference to the tweenage vampire ‘phenomenon’ irked her a great deal and, be it anyone else, they’d probably be decked square in the face. But seeing as it was Zac, she’d just settle for finding something to return the teasing with. Her only issue with that, though, was that he had so many things to hold over her and the only material she had to work with was Emma-related, which would lose its impact eventually. She had to discover something else she could use against him

Lewis looked at the girl sat on her own, and his lips twisted into an unsure frown. He wasn’t dead-set against her tagging along, but was there any purpose to it? Really? They didn’t know her, she didn’t know them, and she didn’t come off as the type to enjoy being in some strangers’ company for an afternoon. The whole experience would just be awkward and unpleasant for everyone involved. He wasn’t that bothered by Logan coming either, and after he turned his head to listen to his little contribution, he looked back at Conall for his final suggestion. He thought it over in his head for a moment. Going alone was definitely the most appealing option of them all, but still he let out a quiet huff and shrugged his shoulders.
“Whatever, man. I‘m easy.” He didn’t know if his indecisiveness would come off as irritating to his friend, but he knew which option he would’ve chosen, and he also knew that Conall wanted him to open up to the idea of other people, and had for quite a bit. He didn’t get the point of it at all; he was happy in his little bubble, but Conall was his best friend, so giving it a little shot couldn’t hurt, right?
