Introduction
In the little town of Coon Falls a former rock star has moved back into town to live near his family. Recently, several tragic events have unfolded and left the man depressed and not wanting to continue his life. His mother, not able to take care of her son's two children on her own, hires a nanny to help out around the home. She interviewed hundreds of women, all of them only interested in her son. They were trying to meet him and try to make him fall in love with them. This, the man's mother knew, was not what he needed to be around. He needed someone who would care for his children as if they were their own. Someone who would care for him, despite who he was. She searched long and hard until she finally found the only woman who was right for the job.
Our story begins after your character has been hired by the rock star's mother. Can you help the children and the rock star move on? Can you save him?

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 2 authors
The lake was beautiful, a thousand times more amazing than any swimming pool or waterpark you could have gone to. All three boys were already in the water, apparently actually trying to fish with there hands. She shook her head, laughing quietly before moving over to the fallen tree with Darrin. From there she remained standing, gently kicking off her shoes and watching Darrin make his way towards the lake and Damion. She followed slowly, pausing a few yards away when she saw Damion and Darrin speaking. She covered her mouth to keep from laughing when Darrin was pushed into the water, before placing one finger up to her lips in a shh sort of gesture. Clearing the distance between Damion and her, she pushed him into the water somewhere near Darrin, and jumped in after him before any of the men could try and pull her in.
Darrin slowly made his way over to Zooey. He smiled at her gently as he made his way around her. He slid his arms around her from behind and leaned closer to place a soft kiss upon her shoulder. The handsome man gently held her for a few long moments before he released her. He was smiling at her again. He seemed to be doing alot of that lately. He moved back around to Zooey's front. He was gazing at her intently. "So..I have a question for you." he said softly. He waited a few moments before continuing. "Anyway.." he gently pulled her closer to his body. "I was wondering if you'd be opposed to being my girlfriend? I mean..I know that we've really not known each other that long..but, I really like you..." he trailed off, afraid that perhaps he shouldn't have asked. It was silly, really...to think that Zooey would want to date him. He wasn't worthy of her. She was such an amazing person and he was...well..him. A man that had fallen apart so quickly after his wife had left him. He'd turned to pills and alcohol to bury himself in..to forget his pain. He'd neglected his own children. The only two people that truly mattered to him. They'd still needed him and he'd not been there for them. He was a horrible human being and he wasn't sure why he'd thought that he should even ask Zooey out. He waited for her to say something..anything.
Once Damion was gone, she looked back to Darrin to see him coming closer. For a moment she floated in the water, before moving a bit closer so she was in deeper water. She was curious when he swam past her, but that quickly disappeared when she felt his arms go around her middle and his lips touch her shoulder. Leaning back against him, she let him hold her, glad that she had come in the water after all. Even when he moved back in front of her, she didn't move far away, listening to him as he pulled her closer. By the time he had actually asked her to be his girlfriend, she'd managed to wrap her legs around his waist and her head rested on his shoulder.
Did she want to be his girlfriend? Was she not already his girlfriend? Sure, he hadn't asked but... well considering they were already exchanging I love yous. She pulled back slightly, a puzzled expression on her face. "I thought I already was," she said, repeating her earlier thoughts. "I mean, I know I wasn't your girlfriend-girlfriend," she wasn't making much since, really. "But I didn't think we were really just friends anymore," okay, so it was more like she was being a normal girl and labeling everything. "Either way," her voice was softer as she made her way back to him, hesitantly wrapping her arms around his neck and looking up into those daring brown eyes. "I want to be with you. Doesn't matter what we call it, so long as it's you and me, and sometimes those guys," she shrugged her shoulder in the direction of the three boys still trying to catch fish, a small smile finding it's way to her lips.
The rest of the drive went a bit better than the first half. Darrin had softly spoken to Zooey, telling her about a few funny things that had happened during a few of their tours. Before he knew it, he was pulling into his driveway. The children and his mother were outside. The kids were running around, laughing and screaming. It brought a smile to his face. He was glad that they appeared to be having fun. He parked and slowly got out of the car and opened the door for Zooey once again. He smiled at her as she got out. He gently took hold of her smaller hand and led her around the car. Zaira came flying as she saw her Daddy and Zoe getting out of the car. "Daddy! Daddy! Zoe! You're home! You're home!" she yelled. Darrin was forced to let go of Zooey as the little girl had come flying flying towards him. He quickly scooped the girl up, smiling. She hugged her Daddy, kissing him upon the cheek. "Were you good while we were gone?" he asked, smiling. He was waiting for Zeke to come at them. Zaira nodded, proud of herself. He sat the girl down so that she could go and see Zooey..which she did. Darrin approached his mother as the kids were talking to Zooey about the trip. "Thanks for watching them. Hopefully they weren't too bad." he said smiling. Judith smiled at her son. "I was happy to. They were angels..as always. But..I've got to go. You're father was wanting to do some shopping. I love you. I'll be by tomorrow." she said, gently kissing the man upon the cheek. Darrin told hi smother goodbye, watching as she made her way to Zooey to tell the woman goodbye. As she approached, she said, "I hope that you too had fun. He seems to be in a much happier mood." She hugged the woman and bid her a good night.
Darrin said, "Come on. Inside! I'll fix us something to eat." Zaira took off flying towards the house. Darrin waited for Zooey and gently took her hand into his. He led them into the large home and into the kitchen. "If you want, you can keep them busy and I'll fix us something to eat." he said softly. He released her hand and began cooking. It had been some time since he'd cooked a full meal but he was looking forward to it. It only took about an hour for the meal to be ready. Darrin set the table and went into the living room to fetch everyone. "It's ready." he said softly, smiling at Zooey. Zaira was the first, as always up and out of the room. Darrin followed the little girl sat down with her. They waited on Zooey and Zeke to join them before eating. The meal passed happily, the children getting done before the adults. As the two sat together, Darrin kept stealing glances at her. "So, what are you planning on doing after supper?" he asked, eyeing her for her reaction.
After being welcomed home by Zaira, the nanny ushered them away from the driveway and back into the yard so they could play a bit while the other two adults were talking. Both children took turns telling them all about what she had missed while camping, occasionally asking about what she had done and Zeke had even asked why her hair seemed wet. Soon she noticed Judith coming towards her and she stood, telling the children to go run off and tell there father about their night. Once they'd gone over to him, she'd hugged the woman and and said her good bye's before following after the two.
She was surprised that Darrin was holding her hand as they went inside, but she figured the children probably wouldn't notice anyways. He offered to make dinner if she'd entertain the children, and the three of them went into the living room to play some sort of game. In the end they had picked out Life, Zeke quick to call the blue car even if he insisted on having a pink person instead of blue, telling her that blue and blue together was boring. Zooey shrugged, laughing as she placed the pink person in his car and they'd started the game.
Because of all the fighting over who got to go first and who got to be banker, none of them had even gotten married by the time dinner was ready. Zeke seemed reluctant to leave the game, but she eventually convinced him, saying they couldn't play anyways without Zaira. Dinner was quiet, not exactly in an uncomfortable way, just everyone was busy eating. The children were finished quickly and ran back to the game after she had told them that they could spin for her if they wanted too.
She only thought for a moment after Darrin asked her a question, stealing a glance at the clock to see how much time there was until the children went up to sleep. "I think we'll just be finishing the game, and then it'll be bed time for them." She shrugged, looking down at the nearly empty plate. "What about you? Planning on getting to work?" The girl mustered up a smile, trying not to think about having to sleep alone again. Maybe she would just work on her drawings afterwards.
After finishing with his task, he went into the living room to watch as Zooey and the children played their game. He sat down upon one of the couches and pulled his legs up so that he was sitting Indian style. Zaira was smiling and laughing with Zeke and Zoe and was even happier now that her Daddy was watching their game. Slowly, the time ticked by as they played the game and at last..someone had one. Zaira was yawning, quite obviously exhausted from the day of play. The little girl began tugging on Zooey. "Can I go to bed? Please?" she asked. She quickly made her way over to Darrin and kissed him goodnight, which he returned. She was quickly flying up the stairs and into her bedroom. She sat on the bed, waiting for Zoe to come up to get her ready for bed. Darrin made sure to kiss Zeke goodnight as well. He watched as the little boy and Zooey made their way out of the room. Darrin remained on the couch, relaxing. If he was honest with himself, the day in the lake had exhausted him. Even if he'd really wanted to work tonight, he wasn't sure if he'd been able to concentrate or not. He uncrossed his legs and was now leaning back into the couch, his head thrown back upon the back..his eyes closed. He remained that way for some time, just allowing himself to be thoughtless. He was feeling quite peaceful, though, and soon found himself of Zooey.
"Sure," she finally said, standing to take her plate into the kitchen. Darrin got there before her though, and was already clearing the plates from the table. Offering a grateful smile, she made her way back into the living room where Zeke and Zaira had completely forgotten about their promise to play for her and she was way behind. Laughing, she took her seat again and got back into the game. Not long after this Darrin came and joined them, sitting up on the couch and seeming to watch them play. In the end Zeke had won, and was looking as if he wanted to jump around and probably brag about it but he also couldn't seem to keep his eyes open.
Zaira was the first upstairs, not even waiting for her or Zeke. Shaking her head, amused, she picked up the little boy and brought him over to say goodnight to his father. Lying Zeke down on the bed, she went to help Zaira before him, since she had already been waiting. After telling her goodnight she went back to the other bed, seeing Zeke was already asleep. It took her longer than usual to get him ready to sleep, since he was nodding off every other second. Finally she was able to get him tucked in after ten minutes of struggling. With a sigh she turned out the lights, slowly making her way back downstairs.
Zoe paused when she saw Darrin, he looked almost as if he was asleep. "Tired?" her voice came out softly, and she pushed herself back into motion before going to sit next to him. "I think the guys tired me out more than Zeke and Zaira do."
At some point during the night, Darrin had woken up, finding himself in the same position as he'd been in before falling asleep. He slowly sat up, careful not to wake Zooey up. He sat for a moment before looking at the woman. He felt terrible about falling asleep on her. She looked quite uncomfortable. He slowly stood from the couch and gently picked her up. He was surprised to find that she really didn't weigh too much. He recalled the few times that he'd carried Hannah..she'd been taller than Zooey...and heavier. He slowly and carefully made his way up the stairs. Once upon the second floor, he hesitated for a moment. He knew that he should probably take Zooey to her room but he just couldn't bring himself to. He slowly opened his bedroom door and once in closed it. He walked over to the bed and gently laid the woman in his arms down upon the soft mattress. He covered her before making his way slowly round to the other side of the bed. He carefully crawled in and wrapped himself around the woman, staying close to her. He found himself quickly falling asleep again.
Darrin woke up early the next morning, as usual. He remained laying in the bed for a few moments, trying to wake up a bit more. He looked to Zooey to find her still asleep. He smiled gently at her. He decided not to wake her. She deserved the rest and the kids wouldn't be up for some time yet. Darrin slowly sat up and leaned over to Zooey, placing a gentle kiss upon the top of her head. He crawled out of the bed and quickly got dressed. He gave a final look at Zooey before heading out of the bedroom. He made his way up to the third floor and shut the door. He walked over to the couch that was in the rehearsal room and sat down, pulling his notebook and pencils over to him. He began writing whatever came to mind, concentrating hard. He didn't notice anything around. He was fully concentrated on the paper and his thoughts.
Judith had arrived a short time after Darrin had gone up to the rehearsal room. She'd begun fixing breakfast and soon it was done. She yelled up the stairs, "Zooey! Zeke! Zaira! Breakfast is ready!" She'd been upstairs earlier to find that Darrin hadn't been in his room, but Zooey had. She wondered what had gone on that night. She'd quickly pushed the thoughts from her mind. She was glad though, that her son hadn't been in the bedroom. That meant that he was most likely upstairs working. She was very happy for this. It had been such a long time since he'd done any sort of work. Realizing that noone had answered her, she yelled a few more times before getting answers. The first, as always, downstairs was Zaira. The little girl was beaming at her Granny. Judith quickly set plates and watched as Zeke and then Zooey came down. The older woman smiled at the other woman. "Good morning. Zooey? I was wondering if, when you're done eating, if you can take Darrin some breakfast? He probably hasn't realized what time it is." she said. She'd left the extra plate sitting in the microwave.
Darrin had his hood up on his head and was still writing quickly. He'd not even noticed anyone entering into the rehearsal room nor did he hear them speaking to him. It usually took someone touching him for him to focus on the room once again. The concentration that was written upon Darrin face was intense and if you'd never seen it before, he would almost look like a completely different person.
As she carried the child downstairs, he alerted her that Grandma had gotten here a little while ago, and had just called them all down for breakfast. When he told her that she had looked into his daddy's room- but hadn't found him -, Zoe blushed. At least neither children knew that she was in there, but the idea of Judith knowing might have been even worse. At least with the kids she could convince them she had a nightmare or something(children believed that stuff, right?). But with Judith, his mother, it wasn't going to be quite so easy. At least that hadn't been together, and she had also been fully clothed. It couldn't be that bad, right? Still, her cheeks were red as she made her way into the kitchen. Setting Zeke down, she let him run over to Zaira and then to the table, where both children were now eating.
The one thing she noticed was that Darrin was nowhere to be seen, which probably meant he was upstairs working. Of course that made her happy, knowing that he was getting back to the band and was probably happy himself, but she did miss him being around them all. Apparently so did Zeke, since he kept glancing at the door and craning his neck to see the stairs, probably hoping to see his father come down. Just as she was about to grab a plate herself, she heard Judith ask if she would take a plate up to Darrin. Nodding, she smiled. "I'll do it now, he's probably been up for awhile now, has to be hungry." Blushing once again, she stole the plate from the microwave and- after thinking for a moment -a glass of tea, before making her way slowly upstairs.
Walking into the rehearsal room, the first thing that caught her eye was Darrin. He was over on the couch, writing as if his life depended on it or something. He hardly seemed to notice her enter the room. "Darrin, hey," she managed, softly. When he didn't reply she put the plate and drink down, slowly making her way over and touching his shoulder lightly. "Hey," another pause, waiting for him to stop writing. "-aren't you hungry? I've got breakfast."
Darrin slowly made his way back to the couch, with the breakfast, and sat back down close to Zooey. Over the past several days, he'd gained quite a bit of his former weight back. He was slowly beginning to look like himself once again. Darrin remained a bit quiet as he finished eating. It was almost as if he didn't know what to say. The handsome man slowly sat the plate and cup off to the side. He turned back to Zooey. "I should be down sometime after lunch for a break. I think that we should all go outside or something? You can ask Zeke and Zaira what it is that they'd prefer to do." he said, smiling. Before Zooey was able to say anything, Darrin was leaning over towards her, placing a soft kiss upon her lips. He lingered for a few moments, wishing that they could stay there for forever. Darrin slowly pulled away, obvious that he'd not wanted to. He knew that Zooey needed to get back downstairs to his children. "I'll see you later?" he asked softly. Darrin didn't want Zooey to leave him. The longer that she remained upstairs, the more likely it was that his mother would come looking for her.
As Zaira ate, she'd heard her Granny tell Zoe to take her Daddy some food. The little girl smiled to herself. She was very happy that the two adults seemed to be getting along quite well. She'd been sad that Daddy hadn't come down to eat with them but she remembered a time when it had been the same. Perhaps he'd started back....working? Isn't that what her Mommy had called it? She wasn't sure and decided not to worry too much about it. She continued eating, eyeing Zeke. She could see that he'd been disappointed that Daddy hadn't come down. She gave him a sad smile, as if saying that she too was quite sad about it. "Maybe he'll come down later?" she suggested. After some time, she heard Zooey coming back downstairs. She tried to crane her neck to see the woman that was Talking with her Granny.
Judith had cleaned up most of the kitchen by the time that Zooey had made it back downstairs. She turned to the younger woman, smiling. "Thank you for taking that up to him. He ate everything?" she asked gently. Thought Judith had found Zooey in Darrin's room, she wasn't angry. She only hoped that Zooey knew what she was getting herself into. She would say nothing in front of the children. No...she would wait until they were alone once again. "I'll probably be leaving earlier than I normally do. Mick has a doctor's appointment that I need to go with him to. You'll be alright?" she asked, eyeing the woman closely. Though Judith loved spending time at her son's home, she wished that her husband would come with her. She knew that that would never happen as long as the two were being so stubborn.

Re: You Saved Me From Myself Repost
Well, Bandgeek, you're entitled to your opinion, that's fine. But don't drop one on me and then block me, that's not manners either.
BUT...
After your chat, I went looking for my message telling Shatari I wanted to play my drummer in this game - the message I said Shatari hadn't the manners to answer - and I can't find it in my inbox. So I must not have sent it, even if I meant to, and thought I did.
SO...
Shatari had no idea I wanted to play the drummer. So I owe both of you a big apology. I am very sorry, and I hope I haven't upset anyone too much.
