Akairo, due to lots of pushing from his sister, learned how to shape-shift making his appearance something subject to change. Despite having the ability to look like whatever he wants he usually keeps everything similar. When in human form he always has black hair and red or brown eyes. He usually has a lean build, pale skin, and stands at 6'0 or taller.
When he does switch to a canine form he always takes on his secondary form, taking on his true form being a very rare thing for Akairo. His canine forms both have black fur and red eyes along with red markings on his body. When he is in these forms his size can range from that of a normal wolf to a large car.

Akairo is not seem nearly as interesting as his sister but where his sister's actions and demeanor make her interesting and draw attention to her, Akairo's mere presence seems to demand everyone's attention. At one point in time he might have tried to hide the air of authority and importance, as his sister describes it, that seems to surround him but over time he learned to use it to his advantage instead.
Though Akairo tends to draw a lot of attention when he enters a room he also looses it quickly, not being a very exciting person to stare at. Akairo is very much a quiet person, being more the type to hover on the outskirts of a group than to be at the center. He has, on more than one occasion, been referred to as stoic since he only speaks when something is worth saying or someone speaks to him first, even then his answers being polite but straightforward.
