ββΊGENERAL APPEARANCEβ β
A matured woman figure, curvaceous with large breasts. Her long hair is a deep magenta that frames her ivory skin quite well. Her appearance is truly desirable to most. Her features are delicate and womanly, her bright eyes are shielded by red framed spectacles and there's almost always a sweet smile on her lips.
She carries herself casually but respectfully, often times though you can catch her in a daze as if her mind is somewhere else. She tends to daydream a lot and when she does this her smile usually changes into a troubled frown. She also will fiddle with her hair when deep in thought. Natsumi wears simple dresses with an apron type front most of the time and flat shoes.

Protective, Lonely, Unstable, Manipulative, Clingy
As nurturing and protective as a mother could be. Claiming lost and sad souls as her own children and guarding them with her very life. Once she has claimed someone rest assured she'll always be there with them, maybe even almost hovering always near them. As she is rather clingy as well, longing to smother the things she loves with her affections and doting. She's actually much more clingy than most would expect, she'll linger around until you wish she had never met you. Only if you are someone she thinks of as her child, otherwise she's quite solitary.
Although it's more of a self-suffering maneuver that she's always alone, as she has an abandonment complex and will become depressingly lonely and detached. She wanders around when she's alone weeping as she is filled with sorrows from her past. She is also somewhat unstable emotionally, his moods change rather quickly and the lines of reality and her past blur together on occasion causing more trouble than she'd like. Sometimes thinking young or small people to be her lost son Hachirou.
Unconsciously she is also quite manipulative, using her womanly charms and guilt tripping to make people stay near her. To comfort her and "love" her. She knows how to subtly win people over, she has learned over the years how to best apply such tactics, even though she doesn't mean to.

ββΊPOWERSβ β
>Intangible - She can turn intangible, allowing herself to walk through solid objects. If she gets too worked up she'll become this way unintentionally.
>Absorption - She can put a being to sleep and then absorb them into her body. Taking their memories and feelings into her but eliminating the being.
>Cacophonous Wail - She can weep, emitting a horrendous sound that draws people to her, charming them or hurting their mind.
>Charming Aura - People around her are comforted, usually with a weird sickly feeling lingering muffled beneath the surface, but people feel safe around her and desire to feel her aura more and more the longer they are exposed to it.
ββΊFEARSβ β
Abandonment, she cannot bear being alone anymore. If she got close to someone, she'd be compelled to absorb them out of fear of them leaving her.

One day she met a traveling Ronin, the two fell in love as he was quite injured and she tended to him dutifully until he had recovered. He promised Natsumi that he would always be there for her, a lifetime for the life that she saved. She had always been a cheerful young woman, however she felt joy she had never felt around her darling traveler. Their love brought the fruits of pregnancy, they were to have a child together. Natsumi glowed with pride over the bond they forged within her stomach. She could tell this child would truly be a gift unto the world, someone who would matter, someone great like their father.
Sadly the happiness she felt was short lived, as she was returning from her work one evening she discovered her traveler was no where to be found. Natsumi began to panic, she was large with child now and her love was no where. Her heart pounded, ringing in her ears and thumping through every inch of her body, she rushed through her small home, tossing the place to find him. Tears fell freely from her eyes as he had seemingly vanished, she collapsed onto her knees and wept for hours, for what seemed like days. She had found a true family in him, somewhere safe and comforting, now what was left? Without him, where was she? Her hands went to her stomach as her child kicked softly within her, it caused her to smile and even laugh a bit.
"How could I have forgotten? He's still with me, in our bond we made. My darling child." She whispered softly caressing her stomach.
The child was born not long after, she took a break from her work to tend to her son. She named him Shiro, after his father Shiroyuki. Shiro had a thick shock of jet black hair and pure blue eyes, his skin was like porcelain, his laugh was like music to her ears. The joy that had been ripped from her returned with Shiro. He was everything she'd ever dreamed and more. Her and Shiro lived together until he was three years old, he was stumbling around and he'd help her in a small garden she had in the backyard. His favorite thing was rice balls with sweets inside them and Natsumi relished every moment with him. Even at his young age he was very smart and even more so aware of his mother's feelings and mood swings. He'd often crawl onto her lap and console her when she wept over her Ronin.
Yet again, the happiness was taken from her. Bandits and raiders stormed the village one night in the worst winter they had ever had. Snow was two feet thick and still falling rather heavily, one of the raiders had begun slaughtering villagers and burning down houses. Thick black smoke is what Natsumi woke up to, without a second thought she rushed to where Shiro slept, scooping him up, wrapping him in as many layers as she had and running out the back door they escaped into the forest. Natsumi felt the cold sinking into her bones and threatening to steal her life away from her. She must have ran on for miles, clutching her bundled son as close to her chest as she could. She tired out once the crossed the river into the neighboring forest, it was said this one had a shrine that seemed always to be warm and safe. She laid back against a large tree, shivering and coughing violently, she was determined to get her son to that shrine, however she also had heard it was at the top of the mountain. Her eyes slowly glanced up, she knew the cold would take her before she could get to it. She cursed and slammed her now discolored hands into the snow. She decided she would give up her own life to get Shiro to safety, she grabbed the bundle, strapping it to her back and heading up, into the icy winds toward the peak.
She managed to get about halfway up when she fell face first into the snow once more, rolling down a ways down a steep slope, she managed to hold her son close enough to her to take most of the damage herself. The last sight she saw was her son's worried, tear-stained face looking at her through the bundled layers. She reached out to him and then everything went black.
Once she woke up, she was bundled up in the layers, within a well-decorated shrine. Her body did not ache and she seemed to be fully restored. For a moment she allowed the warmth to settle around her before her mind went to Shiro. The shrine was well-lit and lushly decorated, though it was empty or so it seemed until she spotted her son's body. Discolored and smiling as his eyes were shut. Natsumi crawled frantically to him, stumbling along until she reached him. Her hands shook and trembled as she softly petted his hair. She wept angrily over his body. Whatever saved her at not saved her child instead. She held his body close and cried over him for what seemed like an eternity.
Natsumi set out, cold and broken into the world three days after. She wandered about the countryside, not eating or drinking, not even sleeping. Until finally she passed on from the world. Now she searches for her son's spirit, thinking to find him now that she's a Youkai, however she does not know his spirit passed on painlessly thanks to a certain ritual done by a Mountain-spirit. She wanders searching for her Shiro, thinking he is just lost from her. She desires companionship again, seeking out any and all children so she can protect them from the world's pain.
