On the surface Nate comes across as a laid back jovial man who is also a womaniser. He is an attractive man and he knows it and uses his natural charm to get women. Surprisingly his many girlfriends all leave on good terms rather than resent him for staying with them only a short time, this is due to his likability and his fun manner. He gets on with pretty much everyone and often plays peacemaker between others, like those in his band, when their tempers get the better of them. Yet for all of this he deliberately keeps others at a distance not allowing anyone to get too close, he has no qualms about being intimate with a woman but as soon as she tries to become emotionally close to him he backs off and leaves her.

His good natured demeanor often means that others assume and take for granted that he feels nothing else but this is far from the truth, most humans are not one dimensional and Nate is no different. Whilst generally he is as amiable as he appears there are times when he gets angry, sad or frustrated but because he doesn't show it often it shocks people more. He feels strong emotions but has become adept at hiding them beneath his wise cracking demeanor, there are however, a few select people he trusts to be himself around. One thing he has never been able to control is his direct nature and he is known for saying it how it is. He does not do this for attention or to hurt others as it is simply in his nature to speak plain and he gets frustrated when others don't do the same. He is impulsive in nature and will often decide to do something on the spur of the moment and then deal with the inevitable consequences afterwards. He is also known for his welcoming manner, accepting everyone he meets as they are and he never judges them instead trying to see the good everyone. This has led to him being treated badly but this has not changed this naturally warm manner.

More recently there has been a darker edge to his sense of humor as his frustration at the cost of fame eats away at him. He is tired and is reaching the point where something has to give.

Mother Kaitlyn Skarsgaard, born and raised in Texas (formerly Baker) (alive and living in Jacksonville Texas) - Nate loves his mother but does particularly like her as she made his life difficult when he was growing up. She is a woman who never managed to achieve her goals in life and so was even more determined for Nate to make it as a model where she didn't. She fiercely dislikes what he has chosen to do career wise and makes no attempt to hide how disappointed she is in her eldest child.

Father Ericc Skarsgaard, born and raised in Norway (alive and living in Los Angeles, California) - Nate takes after his father in most ways and they share a strong bond. He is very close to his father and if he needs advice or just to talk he will always turn to his father before anyone else. They have a very open relationship in that Nate can talk about anything with his father and no subject is taboo.

Brother Ethan Skarsgaard, born in Texas (alive and lives with his mother in Jacksonville) - Ethan is the middle sibling at 26 and takes after his mother in almost everything. He does not understand why his brother and sister have not gone along with his mothers plans for them and thinks mother knows best. He has always been her favorite and he can do no wrong in her eyes. He has always been given whatever he wanted and is now a spoiled man who is used to getting his own way.

Sister Sascha Skarsgaard, born in Texas, (alive and now lives in Loas Angeles with her father) - Sascha is the youngest of the three siblings at 22 and Nate feels very protective of her. They get along well and Sascha always turns to her oldest brother for help or advice.

Grandmother Freya Skarsgaard, born in Norway (deceased) - Nate's paternal grandmother dramatically changed his life and helped him to get off the dangerous and self destructive path he was on. He loved her a great deal and was devastated when she died.

H I S T O R Y
Nate's parents met whilst his father was visiting a friend in Texas and instead of returning to Norway at the end of his visit he decided to stay with Nate's mother. Their marriage was never really a happy one and it is only as Nate grew older that he discovered just how unhappy his father had been during the relationship. He had stayed and made the best of the situation for his children but as soon as Sascha was an adult (21) he left Nate's mother and moved to Los Angeles.

Life was not easy for Nate growing up, though looking in from the outside it would probably appear as though he wanted for nothing, though his father did his best to make his childhood and teenage years happy ones. The family were comfortable, his mother made some money from her modelling and his father was a renowned surgeon and consequently earned a great deal. But having the greatest TV, a pool and loads of money did not make up for living in fear of one of your parents. Until his younger brother was born Nate's life was not that bad but as soon as his brother was born his mother changed dramatically. Over time Nate gradually began to understand that his mother did not love him.

She treated him as a burden and constantly belittled him or would set him impossible tasks and would then discipline him for not finishing them. His father did not know about this as he worked long hours and she was careful how she treated Nate when he was around. She never physically hurt her oldest son but she made it plain how little she thought of him. When Nate was a teenager he rebelled, he decided that if she thought he was a bad person then he might as well become a bad person. He got into fights, drank and smoked all the time and generally did whatever he could to cause trouble for his parents. He might well have continued this and become a criminal as an adult but for one person.

His grandmother. His fathers mother lived in Norway but often visited her son and his children, there was no love lost between her and her son's wife but Freya Skarsgaard tolerated the other woman for her son and his children. She was a very strong willed and blunt spoken woman and when she discovered Nate's increasingly destructive behaviour she demanded that he come to live with her in Norway. His father agreed hoping it would his son whilst his mother was simply relieved to have him gone. Nate fell in love with Norway and the Norwegians and turned his life around whilst there. He re discovered his love of music which is grandmother encouraged and began to believe her and others when they said he had a gift for singing. He remained in Norway until he was 22 but moved back to America after his grandmother died. Though devastated by his loss he was determined to honor her memory and formed his own metal rock band.

He moved to Los Angeles and began the long hard struggle to get noticed, it took years and there were lots of set backs along the way but he never faltered always reminding himself of what his grandmother would have said and done. His perseverance paid off several years ago when the band was signed by a major record label. Their first album (Break the chains) was an enormous success and sky rocketed them into stardom. Their second album (The end of the world) was an even bigger success making them super stars globally. As the lead singer/frontman for his band most of the attention falls on Nate but the band members are happy with this as it means they get a modicum of a normal life. Nate currently lives in L.A in his on apartment not far from where his father and sister lives.[/center]
