        ━

in a world where war is the only option, and the tyrants rise to stir the world into chaos, there will rarely ever be a hero to satisfy it. no, in war, every hero is someone else's villain. the future does not need to be seen, because i can certainly tell you what we all have to loss, and how we'll all lose it anyway.

Dreams of a future, ones draped in blood and miser, Corvus, the cursed child, emerges. He who dreams in symbols and holy signs, Corvus can see that of war and negative outcomes. The future comes to him loudly, like a stampede of bulls and clashing of thunder, forcing him to sleep until he sees what is meant for him. There comes a time, where after constant nightmares of a cruel future, a man stops wanting to shut his eyes and rest, for they would come to haunt him.

The dreams and prophecies he receives are puzzles at best, the flashes of images and small clip-like movies he sees in his terrors. A bloody river pouring into the ocean while the sound of screams echo over a babbling brook. Without effort, however, his dreams go under the radar and are marked off as another constant night terror..

Illusion and reality. When lines cross, it's hard to ever truly see what's the truth and what's a lie, and to trust your gut itself is risky. Dreams and the future all seem so similar after awhile, and when you can only sleep to see the future, your limited to how useful you can be in the moment. Not capable of deciding who's stars they read, a person's life can hang in the balance and the Gemini of the West & East could very well have no idea who's future they saw. Even then, a future can easily be missed when they wake from their dreams, and the memory of it slips away moments after.

a spiritual feeling; a childish moment of playing pranks on the servants and a sister alike, he picked up frogs with his hands and played make believe soldiers with friends. dreams of serving his country, and one day becoming the ruler he knew he was, was all corvus ever wanted. mischief and chaos in his touch, nothing ever stood for long. a vigilant hero, at best. a fool at worst. his aunt taught him not everything could be solved with following the rules, and every problem had various solutions to it. some would never be gracefully taken by society. corvus grew stubborn and adamant in his youth, standing tool even when he was dubbed the cursed child when he came into power.

it was an honor, wasn't it?

something his sister was too lucky to ever be. he was looked down on, feared and given the worst and hardest of responsibilities the twins would ever have to share. he was already perceived to be a fully grown adult, even if it wasn't the case. he strives to work hard behind the scenes, using his dreams to predict famines and plagues and blights. it just wasn't until he was nineteen he realized the world was so cruel, and he needed to show shown to his sister. not out of malliace, but to show and instill that the kingdom came first over small romances and petty feelings. while it might of been an accident, the tides had turned that day, and he realized things like war and politics were much more dangerous terrain then ever expected..

he had once told his sister, there was no greater honor then to make your kingdom proud, and strengthen the bonds of their alliances. he considers her, his equal. his idea might of not been the best, or what would of worked best for his sister as a person, but it was for the best interest of the kingdom. he feels little remorse for how she cried after she had her heart broken. it was silly and trival, and how could she ever feel in such a way? they were children.

it seemed like marriage grew to be the wrong way to go until late. mayhaps she needed to find love on her own, but she needed to understand that it wasn't about her. her grew bitter. angry. unable to understand just what her problem was until he himself fell in love.

his eyes should of never laid set on her during the trip to the heavens.

love greeted his words, his eyes softened, the dragon tamed. his heart felt lighter then ever, and the joy in the crinkles by his very own eyes was apparent. until it wasn't. the flowers started to die in the window, and desperation seemed to take hold.

when faced with the change of the tides and war approaching, he wasn't at a loss. another fork in the cross roads, but he was his sister, by blood and by rule, she couldn't leave him by himself in his quest. even if all she ever saw was him causing her misfortune and pain, she was one who would remain loyal about the situation and work quietly besides him. there was one thing that always stuck through childhood, and now, winds of fate gusted over the two and their country.

the long con / he's know to lay in wait for ages for things to come into play just the way he needs them to before acting. xxduty / when believing everything you do is for your country, and for those you truly love and care for, you stick to your duty serving them.. even if it seems from the outside he's abandoned you. he's never too far from your side. xxfighting prowess / taught to fight as a boy should be, he commonly competes for sport in his country's tournament against some of his best guards. Whenever he's been beaten, he seems to learn from his mistakes for the next year.

impulsive / not known for waiting in the heat of the moment, the man can be extremely impulsive and jump into the thick of it without second guessing. xxremorseless / he has a hard time feeling remorse in general, but even more so when he personally does not believe he is in any sort or manner of being in the wrong. corvus has yet to even ever apologize to his sister. xxterrified / there's always a reoccurring nightmare. rarely a night's sleep is worth getting, but the one this that haunts him even outside the dreamworld is what happens when one dies and is forgotten. when there is no one to ever tell his story. it's a fear he'll carry to his grave.

sitting out in a storm | punching against an object until his hands feel numb | bitterness with every passing glance a pair of lovers give each other | hunches over commonly due to having to slouch to see his sister without hurting his neck, or going through doorways | complex hearing like his sister due to horn carving | a gentle hum and melody plays through his fingers and flutter past his lips when lost in thought. | leaves notes of plans all over his desk
