When a zombie apocalypse comes on to the united states, it takes everyone by surprise. Except, of course, for the teenagers. Teen's have been waiting for the zombie apocalypse for a long time. They always knew it was going to happen eventually. And now it has. But the teenagers couldn't save everyone, only their small group of kids from ages 11 to 18 and then the self-proclaimed leader of them who's 19 years old. Now, the group's just trying to make it past the apocalypse without dying or turning into a zombie.

  1. No godmooding, Mary-Sues, or Larry-Stews. If you want to kill someone, kill a zombie but make it realistic. You're not going to fight a zombie with out a scratch or getting blood stained or something!
  2. This is a literate RP. I want at least 300 words per post. I under stand if it's a little lower sometimes, but I still want around 300 words.
  3. Make stuff happen! This has zombies in it! If stuff is getting slow, make a group of zombies pop outa nowhere then start fending them off!
  4. Make drama. Drama good.
  5. That being said, make drama IN character NOT OUTA character. In character=good. Outa character=bad.
  6. I am GM, my word is law...OF DA WORD! WAHAHAHAHA! >:D
  7. When you submit a character to this RP, you are committing yourself to this role play. Don't make a character and then disappear or I'll just delete your character and reopen the space.
  8. If you're going away for a while, let me know either through PM or the OOC so I can make your character go missing in or something.
  9. When reserving a character, (1st part of password is a dancing GIF) reservations last 48 hours, that's two days. I'd like your character to be in sooner though because the sooner it's in the sooner we came begin.
  10. If you have any questions, just ask me please.
2nd part of reserve password is a GIF of someone talking with the words on the picture please (they can be saying anything)
  11. Cursing is allowed.
  12. Romance is encouraged just no graphic sex please.
  13. This is a unlucky number.
  14. Okay, be descriptive.
  15. Last but not least have fun and don't let this die! I spent a long time writing this and editing that picture up there, so please don't let this die!
  16. Have fun and enjoy internet people.

It's been aproxamently a week since that broadcast first aired, and Devan remembered it. It made her upset. Everytime the group finds a place that actually has a working TV, the only thing that airs is static or the broadcast. It was slightly humorous in a dark way though from the fact that it was being broadcasted while everyone was most likely trying to hide, not sit down and watch the news. But, at least it was something that made the kids not feel so alone in the world.

Devan looked down at herself. They had just fought off another horde of zombies, and she was covered in blood and brains. That's the only thing she hated, blood and brains. She was wearing her "Zombie Fighting Offet", as it's officially been named, which was a skinny black tank top with a skin tight net-like long sleeve shirt over it and a too-large-for-her grey tee shirt over that along with black skinny jeans (becuase skinny jeans were all she could carry), her black combat boots and her black fingerless gloves. She was obviously a fan of darker colors these days...mostly becuase blood stains from the zombies wouldn't be as noticably.

Looking at her faveorite weapon, a black and purple heavy metal bat that she looted from a shopping mall they checked out, and noticeing there was still blood and brains all over it, she whiped it on the ground and the side of a jackedup car, her nose wrinkled slightly as she got the gunk off. They were heading out of the city, and yet it was already deadly quiet. They hadn't seen anyone but eachother and a bunch of zombies since the group got together. And it's been empty and quiet.

Undoutfully, Devan was the loudest out of the group and probably brought the zombies out more than everyone realized, but they knew the drill by now. When they're going in somewhere, they send Devan in first. Not becuase they want her gone, but becuase she's the loudest yet the greastest at finding the bastards and yelling where they are. She's also one of the loudest when killing a zombie, only coming in behind Alicia and Jace use guns, but Devan will actually sit there and have a one-ended conversation with the bastards. Once, when she was left to watch the younger kids, a stray zombie came up. He wasn't that fast becuase the fact that his leg was broken, but her still went after them. Devan stood there and talked to him about his life choices before he came so close to her he could touch her, then Devan, after warning the kids, smacked him outside the head with a pipe. It was like smashing a rotting pumpkin. Bits of brain and blood flew everywhere.

Now, yet again, the group was covered in blood, not counting the younger kids. The streets coming out of the city were blood stained with rotting bodies laying around from people who were killed and didn't come back. Cars were crashed into buildings and street poles. It smelled. It smelled like rotting dead bodies. Devan looked down an ally to see a pile of old dead rotting people. Their clouthes were tore and they were bloody messes. All of there heads were smashed open so they would stay dead. It was a horrific sight, so much so that Devan pushed Jasmine and Avalon along slightly so they wouldn't catch a great glimpse of it.

As soon as they passed though, Devan hurried slightly in front of the group and saw something that made her eyes widen and a smile inch it's way onto her face. A bar. There was a bar. And luckily it was right next to a grocery store that they could clearly see through the windows still had quite a lot of food still.

"Hey, guys. How 'bout we go over to that store and get some food. And while ya'll do that, I'll take..." She paused a minute and looked at everyone. Her eyes landed on Alicia and a smirk instantly spread across her face. Personally, she liked the girl. Now, Devan's not so much a smoker and more of a drinker, but she still found the girl pretty chilled. Plus, she's like a hippie! And Devan always had a place in her heart for hippies. "Moon. I'll take Moon and we'll go get some alcoholic beverages from that bar over there." She said as she spun around and headed to the bar, not really waiting for anyone to respond as she was too focused on her alcohol. At least she hadn't broken the first rule of Z. A. Never go into a building alone, always have a buddy to watch your back.

Walking was never an activity Alicia Lochner, aka Moon, liked. It was painful, boring, and generally pointless. Even after the Zombie Apocalypse, her views of the activity hadn't increased in the slightest, the only thing that seemed to happen was she had company and they got attacked, A great way to improve any activity. She thought as she trudged with her group. Now Dusty Cuddy-Wilson, aka Dust, wasn't too much better, but was when it came to the view. He wondered how a hippie couldn't like walking, but she kept saying it was a torture, not walking. They were not very close to each other, both in relationship and in physical proximity. Alicia was closer to the younger children, as protected them was her basic instinct when the Zombies has attacked them a while ago, while Dusty was standing near the older people, but closest to William, the leader.

Moon was wearing her white t-shirt with jeans, a light brown jacket with a pot leaf painted on, and a sparkling pink scarf. She liked what she wore, it made her feel happy, not to mention the blood stain from the zombie's created a cool looking pattern on it. Dust was in a more basic get-up with jeans, V-neck and his backpack. When they had met, Moon offered him pot, and he droned on about how they could be attacked and yada-yada-yada.

With Dust being one of the only members that had some medical experience, he was unofficially the group's doctor, making sure cuts got looked at and taken care of. It'd be a shame to die in a Zombie fight because of an infection. He would say as a weird catch-phrase. He glanced at everyone after the fight, and then when Devan had announced that she would take Moon and raid a liquor store and they got food. "Hold up, Devan. Shouldn't we see if everyone in the group is alright first before raiding?" He looked and saw that she was still going, now with Moon in tow. "Well, nice to know she cares about health. Did anyone fall or get cut, or anything else I ask after every fight? If so, you know the drill, come here and let me have a look."

With Dust talking, Moon had began to follow Devan to the liquor store. She thought it was great, as these store's usually sold wrapping papers, and she was running low. If she ran out, all she had left in her van was three bongs, two batches of brownies, and a Hookah in case of group therapy. She rather liked her company, even if it got annoying after a while. She had Drops in her hand, and after checking her bullets, she knew she had enough. Once she caught up to her, she began, "So, nice bat work back there. Bet they never saw it coming." She spoke in a very base tone, not showing many emotions, had she been high at the time, she wouldn't have spoken at all. "So, scale from one to ten; Chances that I'll find some jewelry in there?"

William sighed clenching and unclenching his left arm. It never failed they always seemed to run into a horde somewhere, that's why they had decide to get the heck out of this blasted city and go out towards the country where it should be a little safer. Will ran a hand through his matted brown hair, he couldn't remember the last time he had a shower. He defiantly needed one along with everyone else in the group. He winced slightly as they passed a bunch of dead bodies, he shot a concerned look towards the kids who Devan hurriedly pushed away from the horrid sight. The slight drumming of pain in his left arm brought him back to the bruise he had gotten trying to protect one of the younger kids. He was lucky it wasn't a bite. Luck. Will hated using the term 'cause luck always seemed to run out.

William slowed down, doing a head count for the sixteenth time today making sure everyone was still here. He made a mental note to see how Rain and the two younger kids, and to show Dusty his hand. He always tried to make an effort talk to everyone in the group once a day, that was what a good leader was suppose to do, right?

"Hey, guys. How 'bout we go over to that store and get some food. And while ya'll do that, I'll take....Moon. I'll take Moon and we'll get alcoholic beverages from that bar over there. " Devan said turning and heading towards the bar before any one could even respond.William rolled his eyes slightly as he watched Her leave, she was defiantly a character. He could never quite figure her out, but he trusted her...to an extent. His eye traveled to the grocery store, from what he could tell there was defiantly food still in there that hadn't been looted or gone expired. There was no telling if they would be greeted by zombies or not, but the risk was defiantly worth it.

"Okay, let's make a quick stop. I don't want us to have to spend another night in this damn city." He said clutching his handy crowbar, he had found lying next to a broken car.

"Remember always stay in sight of another person, we don't need anybody else getting killed. Try to get stocked up on useful things, we don't need anything slowing us down." He called over his shoulder before nodding for Jace and him to go into the store first. It was always handy to have someone with a gun.

Avalon half heartily kicked a rock as they walked down the street. It had been at least a week since she had seen her mom. She was probably worried sick about her. When she first joined with the group, William had promised they would find her Mommy, (though probably just to get her out of the car she was hiding in).

Avy sniffled slightly pushing some of her curly dirty blonde hair behind her ear. She had learned to start hating being able to smell, she kind of wished she was like Patrick from spongebob and couldn't smell. All she ever did was smell blood and rotting bodies. No matter how many times she smelled it, it always made her stomach churn. The rock she was kicking rolled out of sight and under a car.

Avalon sighed, it felt like all they ever did was walk or run she hated it. They never got to play or do anything. She crinkled her nose looking down at herself finally realizing the messy state she was in.

The long sleeve pink and white poke a doted shirt she was wearing was covered in a layer of mud and greases. Her jean dress that was over her shirt, was also covered in a layer of now dried mud and had tiny rips in different places. Avalon folded her arms across her chest looking at everyone. They were leaving the city, she was pretty sure her mom was still in the city, and no matter how many times she brought it up whoever she was talking to would just nod and say soon. The only people who she felt really understood her was Moon and Jasmine.

Devan slightly pushed Avalon as a wave of rotting stench filled her nose making her eyes water and her stomach do a flip. She looked over at Jasmine wondering if she could smell the same thing or if it was just her. Avy slightly ran into the person in front of her as the group stopped. She noticed that Devan was heading towards a bar and William was walking towards a store entrance.

Avalon's eyes lit up as she realized there might be candy and junk food in the store. She quickly turned to Jasmine. "Hey ya wanna see if we can find anything good?" She asked excitedly grabbing Jasmine's hand.

After the fight, Jace was left drenched in blood. His red plaid shirt that had already been stained countless times by the blood of the zombies was covered in a new layer...but in all honesty he really didn't care. Jace used a knife in most of his killings as it was fast and quiet, so he was used to the massacre and splatter that resulted from it. His white shirt underneath was stained beyond help, but Jace was sure he had an extra in his bag. He wore white because frankly....he liked the contrast between white and red it created. His jeans were dirty as well, but he had avoided any massive stains.

Jace spent a moment whipping the blood from his face, just so the others in the group weren't bothered by it. He knew it was not normal, his love for the chaos that he could cause with hit shotgun or knife, so he tried to remain somewhat sane so that the group did not get so terrified of him. Not that he cared, but it was easier to survive with a large number on his side.

Dodger made a small whining noise as they passed a street with a layer of dead bodies piled high. You could see the hord of flies and the beginning of the decomposition stage from the maggots from where he stood. The smell was god awful, so it was no surprise the the German Shepard at Jace's side reacted to it. Jace ignored the stench, continuing to follow the group.

He never liked to stand in the center, letting the safer spot be for the younger kids and the weaker girls. Him and Dodger walked a little the right and back of the group, silently trudging along but keeping a lookout. Jace rarely talked to anyone when they were out and about like this, just kept quiet and watchful with his dog.

Devan had located a bar and a store for them to hide out in and Jace was happy to be able to finally relax in a somewhat safe location. He stopped and signaled for Dodger to sit and the dog did so without hesitation. Moon and Devan ran off by themselves across the street to get booze or something along those lines. Jace glanced towards William as he spoke, holding back an eye roll. The guy thought he was a real hot-shot, leading the group wherever they went. But, there 'leader' had managed to keep them alive so far, so he had to give them some credit.

He nodded back to William when he noticed his nod, patting his leg for Dodger to follow. He slipped the hunting knife from its case of his belt and slung the shot-gun around to his side for easy access. He walked up next to Will and nodded back, readying himself to slip forward into the store to do a quick walkthrough. Hopefully there would be at least one zombie inside, something he could use to calm his nerves for the night. It was always satisfying for him to kill something when they did a walkthrough, because no matter what he always expected to find something. If a zombie wasn't locating, he would expect to see one all night long and sleep was hard to come by.

It had been about a week of log walking and bad small that know one needs to small.Every time a bloody zombie came. I would  hide were the zombie wouldn't see me or stay in the back of everyone and go as far as I could get away from the zombie. Not to far because I know that i need to be close to the older kids. So they can save my life if a zombie got behind me. But I miss my dog angel  she is a tea cup chihuahua. That is wight and my bast friend i love angel so much and i miss my big sister skyler how I love and miss.
 I hope I find them both.If I don't find them I will cry.

It wasn't fun that much but when Devan talked, or in my case yell, she made me want to cover my ears because she talked so loud that I felt like she was scramming in my ear . but I didn't . Devan made it more excising. I talk to Avalon the most. She was the only one that I felt that would listen to me
even if I haven't took a bath in a week  but every one hasn't took one, you could tell.

When Devan pushed us a head I new that there was something that smelled very very bad, so I looked down and walked faster. When we stopped in front of a  store, Devan and Moon want to a bar that was not far . Avalon asked me if I want to go see if there was anything good in the store. I said "Yeah" because I was hungry and wanted to see if there was any candy. Then Avalon grabbed my hand and we started walking to the store with everyone else. Every one went in the store, but not Moon and Devan. They went to the bar.

Zara had been behind the group as they prowled the streets. She had always been the odd man out. She was skilled in her own way and had no fear of the undead that prowled the city, but because of her antisocial nature it seemed that she wasn't trusted to go up front. Her brown hair was pulled into a loose knot on the back of her head, messily tied back and out of her face. She wore her normal cargo pants and windbreaker. Over the top of her attire was a plethora of leather straps. One was to keep her leather quiver to her back, others to keep her combat knives within easy access.

She was used to feeling alone, it was better than getting close to any of these people and then to have them die. Although part of her did crave to have some sort of deeper connection, something better to do at night than draw dead corpses by kerosene lanterns. She had spoken to Rain some, even through her awkward nature he had been nice and pleasant and the exchange had not been a painful one. That Alicia girl was sweet too. Offered her pot once, Zara had turned her down. She would never take the chance of putting herself in that much danger. Her survival meant everything.

That is why she felt uneasy as the crew made their way into the grocery store. It wasn't that she feared the undead, but she feared that one of these teens she was walking around with would get her killed. It didn't matter that she was almost the same age as most of them, younger even, she had the mindset of someone much older. “She was internally an old lady” her father had once told her. She followed William and Jace despite the bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. She fingered her feathered arrows and took a deep breath.

“Aim for the head” she told herself.

Image

Tori walked next to William on the their walk. He seemed like an okay cat. A little too serious for her liking, but he was a leader, it came with the job description. If didn't always look so grim he would probably be pretty cute. It was dangerous to think that way though. Despite it “being a while” it was not smart to try and hook up with the Chief of Defense.

All she could do was shake her head and laugh as Devan beat the zombie to death with her bat. The girl was a live-wire that was for sure, but in loveable sort of way. With her flirtatious nature, she would be fun for a night.
'Stop it Tori,' she thought to herself, 'now is not the time'

As they neared the grocery store, she made a mental note to ask Devan what kind of loot she found inside. She could do with a drink or two. She followed in behind William, she could feel the anticipation and anxiety grow within the group as they got ready to go inside. She drew her pistol in one hand, and kept the other on the machete on her hip.
“Be careful, stick together, be safe.” she advised, something she always said even though she knew her group knew better. She was ready no matter what happened. She had to stay strong, she had somehow managed to be sort of in charge of these people after all.

If there was one thing that Rain truly hated at the moment, it would most definitely be his entire life. He didn't want to admit it because living was surely better than it's opposite, but however much he thought about it Rain was realizing that he was starting to hate his life more and more.
There was an easy solution to his problem, but it was also the one thing Rain would not do. There was no way he'd get himself killed. He'd rather be miserable.
He wouldn't mind if he didn't have a sense of smell though, the streets stank of death, blood, rot, and overall filth. He'd do anything for a bath, especially after that last encounter with the zombies...

At least he was lucky enough to be in a group. One thing Rain learned fast was that he had to go back to the Buddy Rule he had in kindergarten up to grade three. "Never go anywhere without a buddy!" His teachers all said. Well, he was certain to obey that rule now. Not like he never did before.

As Devan and Moon headed towards the bar and the rest of the group to the grocery store, Rain wondered if the freezers were still working. If they were, he knew right away which aisle he was searching first. Ice cream. Even in a world full of zombies there would always be time for a snack. Usually. Unless they were in a life or death situation where it was either snacking or living.
In that case, there would obviously be no time for ice cream and Rain would have to wait.

The group got closer to the store and Rain caught Zara talking to herself. Aim for the head wasn't something surprising to catch the girl saying, and Rain figured it was kind of like his Did you know? moments. Maybe, maybe not.

“Be careful, stick together, be safe.” Victoria said, and Rain couldn't remember exactly how many time's she said that within the past week. For the most part the group was careful(with the exception of Jace), stuck together(with the exception of Jace), and were usually safe(with the exception of Jace).
"Right." Rain agreed quietly, still wondering if the freezers were working.

Devan waved her hand slightly as she heard Dusty make a comment. Now, it wasn't that she didn't like the guy, but just found he slightly annoying. When she heard his comment about her caring about health in a sarcastic way, she rolled her eyes. She cared about their health, but she knew if anything was wrong, someone would go up to Dusty and tell him. She walked at a medium speed toward the bar, her bat clenched in her right hand as she inched closer. When she heard Alicia catch up, she shot the girl a smile, raising an eyebrow slightly as she did then went back to looking at the bar. It had tinted windows but you could still see the black lights they had inside. It was one of those bars that would only be open at night and it would be so dark, you couldn't tell a man form a woman, though that made no difference to Devan.

When she heard what Alicia said about her bat-work, she turned to the girl with a sweet smile. "Why, thank you. I try." She said in a joking way with a flirtatious smile and ended with a small laugh as she walked up to the window. She put her bat between he knees then drew her hands up around her eyes to try to get a better look inside. All she could tell was that it was dark and had glowing blue lights. She smiled up at Alicia's question with a raised eyebrow. It's seems like no matter what she does, Devan always ends up raising an eyebrow at the girl. "I don't know." She said with a slight laugh as she grabbed her bat from between her knees. "Chances are around maybe seven to eight. But then this could always be one of those shirtless gay bars." Devan added, ending in a slightly flirtatious way as she walked over to Alicia then over to the door.

Opening the door let out a hideous smell that was a mix of alcohol, must, and rotting bodies. Devan wrinkled her nose slightly and clenched her bat a little harder before entering. She looked around and saw the bar close by. She scampered over, managing to run into a few chairs on the way over, and found switches behind the bar. She flipped the first one up and the turned all the normal lights in the main bar on while she said with a laugh "Let there be light!". She then took a quick glance of the place. There was dead bodies all around the place. The thing was, they all looked like they were just enjoying the bar. Some were sitting in groups at tables with shot glasses all around them, and three were at the bar tenders station were Devan was still clenching a shot glass. That made Devan think they were probably all drunk as fuck and got bit then just sat in here and died when the people who killed them came in and asked if they were bit.

After surveying the area and seeing that all seems to be dead...dead, Devan spins around and looks at all the drinks saying to herself "Let's see what's on thee menu.". There was the hard stuff, also known as Devan's favorites, which was the Tequila, Vodka, Brandy, Scotch, Rum, Gin, and Whisky. Then there was multiple wines and beers. Devan looked through everything and found a bottle of Lucas Vineyards Old Vine Zin, one of her favorite wines. She stuck that in her bag and proceeded to grab a few bottles of Tequila, Vodka, and Whisky.

Before looking around more, she decided she'd make her a drink. She learned recipes for many good tasting drinks, one in particular was a drink named Christmas in Mexico. Devan put of the ingredients in front of her. "Four shots of gold Tequila, three-fourth pint of cranberry juice, grenadine, lime, and cranberries." Devan said aloud to herself mostly as she took out a highball glass and the cocktail shaker and some ice. She was happy everything was untouched. She put the last three shots of Tequila, the cranberry juice, the grenadine, the lime, and the cranberries all in the cocktail shaker along with ice. She closed it up and shook it long and hard, making a sound of swishing fill the room. She looked at Alicia, who was probably looting the bodies. "Hey, Moon, you wanna' try something?" Devan said, a flirtatious smile on her face as she eyed the girl and shook the cocktail shaker.

Devan was a very flirtatious girl, as you could see. She knows it's the fight for survival, and it's obvious that no one wants to get close to people because anyone could die at any moment. But Devan still tries to get close to people, though she may not be able to actually trust them right away, she wants people to remember her when she's gone. She doesn't want to be forgotten, that's why she tries to be as loud, outgoing, and flirtatious as she is, weather it be the right thing to do or not. Out of everything that's going on, Devan's happy they're heading out of the city. Not because of safer surroundings, though that's a plus, but because of the fact she's certain that if her little brother is still alive, he'll be out there around their town. She hates to go see the place, but it was destined to happen to all of them eventually to return home at least once on their journeys, right?

Dusty watched as no one came to him, signaling that no one got hurt, or they just didn't want to see him. He was used to this, being left out; at school, mostly. It never bothered him, he had his collection of friends, "All dead now." He thought and then realized that meant his bullies were dead too, he couldn't help but give a little smile. It's not that he wanted them dead, yes he thought about and fantasized it, but turning into an undead, unthinking, killing machine was not one of his fantasies.

As the group approached the store, Dusty realized he was still without a partner, breaking the first rule. He looked and saw William with Tori, Jasmine with Avy, and Rain looking close to Zara. He liked this group, everyone was interesting a different way. Although he had to admit that Rain and Moon, two of the most hippie sounding names he had every heard, only one was a hippie. Rain was very intelligent, and maybe he'd like to exchange random facts with each other sometime. Looking he saw that only Jace was without a partner, having left Dodger in front. Jace seemed cool to him, always doing badass things, and it made him feel safe, he guessed. "Nothing wrong with that." He told himself, before e jogged over to Jace, hopefully he got the message, "We gotta stick together.". After a little bit, he finally said something, "So.. Any plans after the Apocalypse is over?" He knew this was weird, especially for Jace, who had a game of killing the undead.

At the same time, in the bar, Moon looked around at all the people. Some were older, some younger, but all of them most likely piss drunk before being killed, and re-killed. Sounds lucky. She thought to herself as she began to search the bodies fpr anything of value or cool looking. Off of a rather pretty blonde, she got a pair of diamond stud earrings, and a black woman gave her a weave and rings. On a couple of an old man and younger woman, she found a baggie of coke, and a hat that she could give to someone. When she focused on the cocaine, she realized this was fresh bought, so the dealer must be close by. Sure enough, it was a guy in a leather jacket with spiked hair. She found a jackpot; a sandwich bag of Mary Jane, four syringes of heroin, and a small can full of GHP, or 'forget-me-now's as GOB from Arrested Development called it. She started to dance form her little pile, making sure to store them in her bag that had her stuff in it, after she could only take so much when she had to leave her van.

When she noticed Devan, she was offering her a shot of something. It smelled nice, and if it helped her overcome the smell off of theses' guys, she do it. She took a shot from a table near her, lifted and said, "To life, lest we end up like these poor bastards!" And put back the drink and put the glass back on the bar. It burned a little bit, as all alcohol did to her, but she enjoyed it. "You will not believe what I got off these guys. See the douche over there?" she pointed at the drug dealer. "I got enough stuff to buy our way to DC if we wanted." She smiled widely, she wouldn't do the heroin or coke, pot was her thing, but it was nice to have options. Ever sense the world ended, morals or ethics weren't thinks she really concerned herself with, not that she had many before.

It didn't escape her notice that Devan was being flirty, she seemed that way constantly. Didn't bother her, she was sure givan a shower and some sleep, she would have responded, but instead she chose to talk about the others instead. "So, I'll bet my left shoe that Rain tries to kiss Zara, and my right shoe that Dusty does the same to William. Any bet's you got?" This was Moon, a chronic gambler, and she got feisty whenever she was betting. It was one of the things that made her feel better about the whole end of the world thing.

Upon entering the store, Zara immediately climbed to higher ground, finding a perch on the top of a drink cooler by the door. There were corpses littering the ground, blood soaked into the cheap tiling of the grocery store floor. The dark building reeked of decay and rotting flesh. The store had been closed up for quite some time and the heat had done nothing but intensify the smell of the building.
Zara didn't even gag. She got into position and drew her bow, trying to see past her group in the dark.

“Do we want to bother with finding the breakers, maybe they still have lights or a back up generator,” Zara asked. “I can't see anything.” She kept her voice low, as not to allow for any corpses to hear her.

“The maintenance room is probably in the back. I don't know if we want to bother going all the way back there in the dark.” Tori whispered back. She did click on her flashlight and tossed it to Zara. “Keep watch, let's just grab what we can,” Tori commanded. She took her own advice by stuffing her bag through of some of the unopened canned goods that lined the floor. Zara may have been a strange quiet girl, but she had the eyes of a hawk, knowing she was up high and keeping watch gave Tori some relief.

She continued to fill her bag with useful things, using a second flashlight she had in her messenger bag.
“Girls, stay close okay? I don't know what is in here.”Tori asked the two youngest girls. She grabbed any non-perishable foods and also some “feminine supplies.” It was strange to think how needed these were going to be with no one around to restock the shelves. She made a mental note to give Zara some of her supplies since she was not gathering things herself.

As she thought this an arrow whizzed through the air, then a thud of something falling.

“Be on alert,” Zara hissed. Victoria looked into the direction of Zara's fire. There weren't many, two or three was all she could see over the shelves. Nothing Jace and the rest of the group couldn't handle. But they were heading straight toward them.

William cautiously entered the store, the familiar smell of decay filling his nose. Quickly glancing over his shoulder he made sure everyone was paired up, before taking out his small, wimpy flashlight. The slight drumming of pain in his left arm still bothering him, good thing he was a righty. Nothing the less he still needed to let Dusty take a look at it.

Tori slipped passed him, quickly grabbing things while Zara climbed onto higher ground to watch their backs. Tori was defiantly a quick thinker, he honestly couldn't think of anyone better to be in second command.

"Stay towards the front of the store, just in case." William said assessing the younger girls, but trying to keep his voice low.

William scanned the area, rotting corpses and splatters of blood lay everywhere. This was probably the military's doing he thought bitterly. Trying to contain the infection by just killing people even if they weren't bitten. William let out a sigh the familiar setting of dead corpses littering a store's floor made horrible memories try to resurface and drag William into the dark corner of depression.

William jumped slightly as the sound of one of Zara's arrows slicing through the air broke him out of his train of thought. "Be on alert." She hissed.

Will squinted through the darkness, just making out part of a sign. 'Medical' it read. They could defiantly use that. The definite sounds of moaning filled the musty air, causing Will to grip his rusty crowbar tighter. He knew this was to good to be true, of course they couldn't have just found a grocery store stocked with supplies, empty.

"Dusty." He called pointing to the medical sign, Dusty was the only one in the group trained with any medical knowledge, really. He would know what to get.

"Jace mind taking out those things? And Zara cover me and Dusty as far as you can see we are going to try to make a dash for some medical supplies. Come on Dusty lets go." William said deciding on taking a different aisle so they could avoid the few zombies.

"So.. Any plans after the Apocalypse is over?" The Dusty kid asked him right before he went inside the building. He paused, glanced at the kid with a deep sit frown. Over? This thing was never going to be over. Jace wadded up his saliva inside his mouth and spat at the ground near his feet, then looked back up to Dusty.

"This thing isn't going to be over. Not in our lifetimes at least" He stared at Dusty for a moment loner. realizing that he may have sounded harsh. Whatever. Jace shoved the kid to the back of his mind and rushed into the grocery store right behind William.

Zara and Tori and come in right after him and immediately Zara and stationed herself up high and safe. Jace thought he was smart, maybe one of the smarter people on this group. He nodded to her as he slinked passed, watching as William headed down an aisle himself. He slowly made his way down the shelves, making sure to keep his steps like and soundless. He had made it to the end when he heard and whizz and a thud from behind him.

Jace stood, turning towards where the girls were in the front of the store. He could clearly see Zara on the top of the shelves, but Tori was hidden from view. That was not his true worry though, he could hear, rather then see, zombies heading towards them.

"Jace mind taking out those things?" Jace heard from the next aisle over from William. He sent a glare his way, and snorted, already readying himself.

"With pleasure, sir" He muttered in a mocking way, then looked towards his dog as he crouched down to his height, "Dodger" He whispered to the canine, who looked at him with a whine. Jace grinned toothily, then ruffled up the dogs massive ears. Looks like they were going to get to kill more today! Jace braced himself, took a deep breath and gripped his knife tighter. The dog and human duo rushed down the next aisle, coming up behind the stinkin' zombies as they slowly made there way towards the group at the front. There was three, easy enough to kill for them.

Jace nudged Dodger, pointing at the one of the farthest left. He gave the dog the signal to kill and at the same time rushed forward with a smirk on his face. Just as the police dog leapt upon his target and began to rip its head from its neck, Jace thunked his knife into his zombies skull. The thing fell harder then he had predicted, hitting the ground with a nasty sound of breaking bones. Jace swore and rolled forward to retrieve the knife, but he couldn't grab it in time. The third zombie was almost on him, and Dodger was still busy with his kill to protect or hear a command. He ripped the knife from the zombies brain, scattering blood and gore on the linoleum tiles as he attempted to scrambled back from the zombie that reached for him. He kicked it in the chest with his converse, trying to give himself sometime to get up.

The world was never going to be the same, it was a world of death and destruction, not that it was much more before the planet went into chaos for Ken. As a soldier he had seen people at their worst, people would be willing to do anything for food and help in war torn nations but this apocalypse turned the entire planet like this, there were no longer an safe havens. Any fortress that the army built were eventually destroyed and overrun. Thats why Ken chose not to go to any of the so called "safe areas" that people were told to go to. Ken was better off on his own, that way he didn't have to look after anyone and he only had to worry about keeping himself alive. Sure it was nice to have someone to talk to now and then but that meant getting attached and Ken could no longer get into that position again.

Ken had been staying in the city for a couple of days gathering supplies and finding the odd house that had a comfortable bed for him to lay low. But he couldn't stay there for long, it was too dangerous. Any city was dangerous, there were too many "people" that posed a threat. However he had to either go there or starve, there were few other options, he could also now and then find ammo where soldiers had been left to die on the streets. Ken walked down an open street filled with old burnt out cars and the odd body dotted around, he always had his rifle close to his chest ready to react if anything or anyone alerted him. Ken had been out all day looking for supplies, where he had found the odd bottle of water and old tinned food ans surprisingly some bacon. Despite the fact he could have done with looking for more supplies it was starting to get late and the sun was setting and despite Ken preferring the night, the streets were no place to be hanging around at night, it was better to be in a building or somewhere high.

He continued to travel through the streets looking for whatever was a safe place to hide out. There wasn't many but he would make do with most places. Then he saw a god send, almost quite literally, a church tower was poking its tip over some of the houses around the corner, a perfect place for him to spend the night. Ken swiftly made his way to the church, it had seen better days, bullet holes were strewn all over the brick work and there were many holes in the walls that must have been made from tank and rocket blasts, however the bell tower seemed intact and stable. Ken made his way to the front doors of the church with his weapon at the ready. He entered the church checking his surroundings around him. An empty church always had a disturbing cold feeling to it, like something was wrong. Ken pulled out a cross from under his shirt and kissed it as he walked through the dark church, as if it was a request from god to protect him. It appeared that there none of the dead in the church or none that he could see. Ken made his way to the stairs up the tower and rose up them trying to make as little noise as possible. When he reached the summit nightfall had almost hit and it seemed like a good time to settle down. It was an open tower with huge gaps but there wasn't much wind so it was quite a comfortable area, Ken closed the hatch that he had just been through to stop any zombies trying to get the jump on him. He started unpacking some of his things like a lantern that he found when the zombies first attacked to light up the tower slightly, not so much light that he would be too visible but enough for him too see around him. He laid his rifle down up against a wall and leaned against the wall sitting down. It was a quiet night, he could almost hear his own heart beat as he settled down for the night.

That was when he saw it in the corner of his eye, a light, it was in a building down the street that looked like an old abandoned bar. Ken grabbed his rifle aiming down at the bar, there were definitely people down there, he could see the shadows in the windows. This wasn't good, people around meant that there was a chance of danger, Ken turned off his lantern and kept his rifle trained on the bar waiting for someone too appear.

As Avalon entered the store she quickly dropped Jasmine's hand, now using her free hand to cover her nose. "It reeks in here." She muttered, as her eye scanned the horrid sight, too bad Devan wasn't here this time to save Jasmine and Avalon from seeing this monstrosity.

“Girls, stay close okay? I don't know what is in here.” Avalon nodded, scanning the shelf closest to her for anything good.

The soft moaning of none other than flesh eating monster's sent a shiver down Avalon's spine as she realized they were probably going to get into another zombie fight.

"Stay towards the front of the store, just in case." William said, causing Avalon to listen intently to even catch his words. Her eyes widened as she heard the last bit of his sentence. Just in case what? Just in case they got overrun, and Jasmine and her needed to make a quick escape? She didn't want to leave anyone anymore.

Avalon watched as the few zombies headed towards them. She really wished she had a weapon, though she probably really wouldn't have to use it. Still it would make herself feel a lot safer, it didnt even have to be a gun she just wanted something. Avy watched as Dodger and Jace easily took out two zombies, while the third one was a different story.

Avalon squealed slightly as she watched Jace kick the zombie, if she could she would help him but she would probably end up casing more trouble than good. Avalon tugged on the nearest big kid next to her, which happened to be Rain.

She pointed frantically at Jace. "Rain help him!" She knew the kid may not be the strongest out of everyone, but he did kind of have an advantage since the zombie's attention was else where.

Devan let out a small laugh as Alicia took a shot and gave a short toast to not end up like any of these poor dead bastards in the bar. None of them probably even knew what was going on. Devan eyed Alicia as she threw back the a shot that Devan put out for her. Devan, shaking her head slightly, poured the drink she was making into the highball cup and lazily laid the cocktail shaker on the counter. She took a sip of the dink and smiled at it's goodness. She leaned down and put her elbows on the bar as she listened hear what Alicia had got. When she pointed to a guy with spiky hair, Devan rolled her eyes. Typical drug dealer. She thought. Alicia didn't even have to say what she got off him for Devan to know.

Looking around, Devan noticed a stereo system. She walked over to it, leaving Alicia and her drink at the bar. She looked at it and pushed some of it's buttons and trinkets, hoping she could get it to work. Sadly, she couldn't and she pouted slightly then walked back over to the bar, going on the inside where she was before and stood in front of Alicia, sipping her drink with her eyes blank and wide looking at the girl.

An eyebrow went up as Alicia said who she betted would kiss who. It was a funny little bit, but Devan absolutely had no idea. The only thing she would bet is that she'd end up messing around with everyone, but she wasn't about to say that. Everyone knows how flirty she is, so why should it matter? "I don't even know. Everyone just seems like they're trying not to get too attached, so your guess is as good as mine." Devan said, the flirtatiousness was gone from her voice and replaced with her slightly drunken voice that had a bit of an I-don't-even-know tone to it. She placed her drink down, about three-fourths of it gone, and took another look around. She had this thing where she would always take at least one small thing as a souvenir to remind her of these dark days. This time, the souvenir was a shot glass she found that had a Chicago Heights stamp on it. She put it in her bag by the Tequila and looked back at Moon with a blank expression. "So, we should probably head out then before they begin to wonder, huh?" Devan said with what was a serious tone at first then a bit flirty at the end as a smile split across her face. She could never really keep a straight face or go long without being a little flirty.

The reaction of Jace was something that Dusty knew could happen, and he had a point, the effects of these would be felt forever, and who knew if every last zombie would be taken care of. For all he knew, the military could just bomb the entire city, or the state, if they still had power. The thought made him shudder, but he had to keep hope that they would see it through. 'I mean scientifically, these things should only be able to walk so long before decaying. Of coarse, being a zombie is usually immposible by scientific viewpoint.' He thought, as he then realized the group had gone into the store.

The arrow started him, and he looked around for zombies, but found his name being called by William, the leader. He was pointing at a sign that said, 'medical', to what extant? He guess he had to find out. He ducked, and ran towards the leader, as he heard Jace doing his thing, he was used to it, and he figured that he would get it. Once he reached the isle, he began to take stock of everything; Proteins, sunblock's, fish liver oil, condoms, all basic things one would expect to find here. He opened his backpack and began to take bottles of vitamins, proteins, and several basic medications, like Advil. Judging from the diet they had the week, the chances of them reaching a healthy level was zero, so he had to grab as many as he could, or they would slowly get weaker. Taking stock, he counted thirty bottles worth of proteins, twenty five of various vitamins and minerals, a couple packs of bandages and wraps, pain killers and numbers, sleep aids, multiple bottles of peroxide, and cough syrup. It was all he could carry at once, and they would likely need to visit a pharmacy at some point. Turning to William, he nodded and said, "Got what we will and might need in he future, next town we hit, we're going to probably hit a pharmacy or urgent-care for some strong stuff." He didn't even notice that fact that a zombie had remained, probably due to his intense searching.

Elsewhere, or more specifically the bar next door, Moon was sitting down at a table near the bar looking at everything. She had to push someone out of it first, but she doubted that he would mind much. She then took the earrings she got off the blonde and put them in. They fit where her lower one's were, and she felt fancy. She wondered how much this stuff would be worth, and how much land she could buy with it. She put down another shot, this one a bit more rancid, as it had been sitting out for a week.

Upon seeing Devan trying to mess with the stereo, she wondered if she should do a hit now. She reached for her lighter and joint she kept behind her ear, but before she could light it, Devan responded to her question. She did notice that she should focus on surviving, but the idea of dying without having fun in a world with no rules seemed like a complete waste of time.
"Personally," She started saying as she was putting her roll back, "I think not getting attack is fine, but why should we still have to keep up such a high standard about drugs and sex. The world is ending, why not just light a few and do whatever? I got some heroin off the guy if you want to try." She spoke somewhat slow, due to the alcohol, and whenever she had a few, she tended to speak her mind about philosophy.

She laughed very loudly when Devan suggested they should catch up, or people would begin to wonder. It was a cackle, she couldn't really help it. Devan seemed to funny when she tries to keep a straight face, and she got incredibly giddy whenever she had any alcohol. "I wonder which they would be more surprised to find in here; us both being eaten, or us going at it? Bet it would get that tough guy look off of Jace's face." She began to laugh so hard, she put her head on the table, and had to cool down before beginning to walk to the door. "Come on, let's not make them wonder." She winked at the girl as she said it and opened the door and stood outside, leaning on the other door, still laughing a little bit.

Devan nodded slightly as Alicia made a point about how they should be having fun and doing whatever they want in a land without rules. It made perfect since to Devan. But she knew the others wouldn't agree, especially Zara. It's obvious that girl wont even try getting close to anyone in the fear that they will die. Shrugging, Devan agreed to Alicia's question but muttering "Right." When Alicia offered her some heroine that she had most likely gotten off the guy in the bar, Devan made a face and shook her head. She might have tried stuff before, but she wasn't about to stick a most likely infected needle into her arm just to get high. "No way," she started, a smile already creeping up on her face, "that's doin' too much." She laughed slightly.

Devan stared at Alicia with a raised eyebrow and slightly confused smile as the girl broke off into loud laugher. She really didn't think it was that funny, but it was funny just to see her laughing so hard. "Why you laughin'?" Devan asked, trying to be as serious as she possibly could, but that didn't help much at all. Not being able to keep a straight face in any situation was one of Devan's weaknesses. She crossed her arms and held the laugher in until Alicia could calm down and say whatever she had to say. What she said made Devan break out into laugher along with the girl. "I'm pretty sure they'd be more surprised to see us going at it." Devan said as she stopped her own laugher and looked at the girl, who was balls deep in laugher.

Devan watched Alicia calm herself down, an eyebrow still raised and smile still on her face, then watched as she made her way to the door. She shook her head slightly and let out a small laugh as she saw Alicia wink after her sentence. Out of everything that had happened today, Devan was sure enough to say that this time in the bar was the most fun and amusing. She switched the switch for the lights off before tripping her way over to the door and out it, seeing Alicia still laughing slightly as she got out. "Come on, there probably already wondering by now." Devan said, yet again trying to be serious but failing with the big smile on her face and laugher breaking through.

She grabbed Alicia's wrist and pulled her along with her to the grocery store, where she could see through the windows and she Avalon and Jasmine at the front of the store and flash light being shined around. Now Devan had an air of almost full seriousness when she opened the door to the grocery store, not sure what to do. It didn't smell as bad as the bar, though she could smell mostly just rotting flesh and food, minus the smell of alcohol that she was probably covered in.

She walked in and saw Avalon clenching onto Rain and telling him to help someone as she pointed. Devan let go of Alicia's wrist and grabbed her bat that she had sticking out of her backpack. She ran, girly-like, over to Avalon and Rain and looked where they were pointing and saw Jace getting attacked by a motherfucking zombie. She rolled her eyes, upset that this couldn't just go smoothly without some motherfucking zombies attacking them. "Don't watch." She said to Avalon then ran over to the zombie and waited for Jace to duck. "Here, zombie, zombie, zombie." Devan said like she was talking to a dog. The zombie stopped attacking Jace and looked at her. Then, like she did oh so many times before, she said "Bye-bye" to the zombie before smashing its head like it was a rotted pumpkin and zombie brains blow everywhere.

She then smiled slightly at Jace, who she would think was upset that he didn't get to kill it, and she then walked up to the front of the store and sat on the counter next to the cash register crisscrossing her legs and setting her bat down. She then reach into her bag, grabbed out the shot glass and tequila and poured herself a shot, through it back, and pour herself another one, and through that back as well. Then she sat the glass and bottle on the counter and waited to hear what they were going to do for the night.

Zara cursed under her breath as she watched Jace get overwhelmed. Why he had to be so reckless was beyond her. She steadied her breathing and tried to make the shot that would save his life. It was no use, it was too dark and there was to much movement for her to make the shot safely. The last thing she needed was an enemy like Jace for shooting him with an arrow, even though she was sure she could outrun him if she needed to.

"Got what we will and might need in the future, next town we hit, we're going to probably hit a pharmacy or urgent-care for some strong stuff." Once she knew that William and Dusty were safe, he brunette shimmed down the cooler and quickly drew her hunting knives, heading toward Jace, to swing in for the rescue.Victoria was still with the two youngest, keeping them behind her. Pistol at the ready she pulled them away from Rain and started shoving them toward the door. When Rain didn't respond she grabbed him as well filing what part of her crew she could toward the exit.

About that time, Devan came in the store, loud voice and baseball bat in tow. She got to Jace before Zara could, beating it to death with her bat. All Zara could do was scoff under her breath and shake her head. That girl's obnoxious nature was going to be the death of her, she could feel it. She offered Jace a hand to help him off of the floor.

Tori spoke over the crowd. "One last sweep, make sure we don't leave anything useful behind." She walked up to William. "You okay?" She asked under her breath. "Not to bother you after our near death experience or anything, but where are we heading to from here?"

William watched silently as Dusty threw things into his bag, his eyes darting back and forth from the boy to their surrondings. If anything decided to jump out Will would be ready. As they made their way back to the front of the store, Will quickly grabbed items off the shelf. Not really paying attention to what he grabbed, but knowing for sure he at least grabbed water, and more canned food. You could never overstock on canned food, William thought, slightly rolling his eyes and smiling. A bizarre thing to do considering what they just went through.

As Will came to a stop standing in the front of the store, he noticed that Devan and Moon had arrived, Devan looking a bit tipsy.

Everyone looked a bit shaken up. Well what would you expect with flesh eating creatures running around?

" Everyone okay?" Will asked before turning to Tori, who came to a stop next to him.

" You okay?" Tori asked, keeping her voice low. "Yeah." Will replied looking her in the eyes. "Been better though." He added giving her a smile, his weak attemp at making light of the situation. It probably sounded odd coming from such a serious guy, but Will did try sometimes even if it did come out cheesier than cheddar.

"Not to bother you after our near death experience or anything, but where are we heading to from here?" Tori asked moving onto business. Williams's brows furrowed as he became serious again, all playfulness gone.

"Well I did see a church a little ways away from here. We could probably make it there before dark. It would be a good form of shelter, and then in the morning we can continue our way out of town." Will nodded slightly almost confirming himself, before his eyes landed on Devan, drunk or not she was third in command and her input was also valuable." Lets see what Devan thinks before totally deciding." He said motioning towards the pale blue eyed girl sitting atop the counter a drink in hand.

All had gone silent. Devan looked around as she sat on the counter by the cash register, one hand lazily laid on her lap and the other holding a bottle of Tequila. It was amazing how much alcohol the girl could drink before becoming a drunk babbling idiot. She had just gotten so use to it. The first stage on the way to drunkenness for Devan was staring. Which was exactly what she was doing, though she didn't this constantly. The difference between her normal staring and her stage one into drunkenness was that when whomever she was staring at realizes she's staring, she'll just look them in the eye with a blank expression on her face on she thought in a bit of a nasty way what she could do to them until the victim would yell at her or something of the sort to get her out of her thoughts. Then she would get a slightly irritated look on her face and yell back at them 'what the fuck was that for?' or 'what the fuck do you want?' like she didn't even noticed what she was doing. Though, in all respect, she did but just doesn't want to admit to people what she was thinking about.

Today's stage one drunkenness victim seemed to be Zara as Devan watched her intensely. She watched as the girl walked over to offer a hand to Jace. For a moment, Devan's eye averted to Will who was just throwing whatever was on a shelf into a bag. Everyone else seemed quiet and shaken as they waited for what they were going to do next. At the moment, it didn't really matter to Devan. She just went back to looking at Zara, random thoughts about the girl filling her head. If anyone were to hear her thoughts, they'd realize most of them are just Devan complaining about her being quiet and such, the other thoughts were countless flirtatious Devan would like to try, but would choose not to at the moment.

Devan was pulled from her thoughts as she heard Will call her name. She slowly shifted her pale blue eyes across the room from Zara to Will with Tori standing beside him. Will was looking at Devan, and Devan looked him right in the eye. She then shifted her eyes from everyone in the group as she tried to decided what she could say. "Alright." She said rather blandly for her as she poured herself one more shot and through it back, not even wincing at the taste of it as she's grown used to it. She put the bottle and shot glass back in her bag and jumped off the counter then grabbed her bat. "To the church! Then off to Steger tomorrow!" Devan said loudly, and practically ran right into a shopping cart before cursing as quietly as she could, which wasn't exactly that quiet, to her self and pushing it out of everyone's way. She walked over and leaned on the frame of the door and looked at everyone as she waited to now leave. "Hey, I should just add, if I see a goddamn zombie priest, hell, a priest in general, I'm gonna' beat them to death." Devan added as she held her bat up defensly and her eyes got wide. This was one of the only times she got serious around the group. When they were talking about zombie priest and zombie clowns.

Jaimie knew he shouldn't have left the group those few days ago. His brother always said, stay with a group. Keep the buddy system, don't wander off alone. But Jaimie just couldn't stay. He couldn't bear knowing that his brother had gone out with the older kids, and never came back. Chances were, one of the older kids had probably killed his brother. He knew they had no choice, once someone was dead, they were dangerous. But without his brother there to protect him, Jaimie didn't feel all that safe in the group. They had that Devan girl always being loud and drawing out zombies, and people with guns. His brother always said the trade off for fire power was the noise.

So Jaimie had disappeared during the night, sneaking off to try and go home. He didn't make it to his house, there were too many zombies. He'd ended up in a shopping center, which wasn't the ideal, until he found a comic book store. There was a giant poster there listing what to do in the zombie apocalypse. Jaimie was actually relieved of the reminder. Without his brother to follow, a little direction was welcome in Jaimie's life. It told him that if you were careful, you could get from one place to another carefully if you stuck to the shadows and didn't make too much noise. Hiding behind cars or other objects was advised. Jaimie took note of that.

The rest of the comic book store was basically this thirteen year old's dream. Jaimie snagged an amazing batman figure that had all sorts of joints and was just heavy enough to feel expensive. It never left his hand as he camped out at the comic store, doors locked and reading comics in the light coming in through the window. He had lasted this whole time on the food in his pack, mostly junk food but plenty of water and granola bars too. The comic store had even had a bathroom, so he never had to leave! But then, the food and water did run out. And honestly, now that he was starting to feel less sad about his brother's death, he was starting to miss socializing with people. As interesting as comics were, they couldn't listen to him or tell him it was okay.

This morning, Jaimie had finally left the comic book store, sporting a brand new Captain America shirt and a superman cape to go along with his army camo-print cargo pants and red converses. The batman figure he had refused to leave behind, and even carried, though there was plenty of space in his backpack now that it was empty of food. He liked to have batman with him, it made him less scared of being attacked at any second. Jaimie snuck around trying to find the group again, but it seemed that they had moved on from their last location. He was disappointed by that. What would he do now? He tried to figure out where they would go next. While he was searching, he found a pen and paper, and wrote a letter to his dad, and then one to his mom and his brother. He cried a little while he did it, but he felt better for it.

His current goal was to get to a church. God was the only one who could give letters to dead people, so he just wanted to leave his letters at the church where God could find them. He passed a temple, which was almost as good, but his mom had been christian, so he decided to keep looking. It was getting darker by the time he saw the church. A man was walking inside when Jaimie got there, which made him nervous. But the guy was carrying a gun, and Jaimie had never ever seen a zombie carry anything before, so he thought it might be safe. He'd run in, pray for God to come get his letters, and run out.

The door to the church was kind of heavy for Jaimie to push, but that was probably because he wasn't very strong. His brother did always call him a little twerp, which he kind of was. He was short for his age, and the baby of his family. Not that it mattered now. There wasn't any family left to baby him. Peeking inside the church with the door open enough for Jaimie to squeeze in, Jaimie didn't see the man that had entered. He hurried inside, running to the altar, his converses squeaking against the polished floor.

Jaimie quickly pulled off his backpack and took out the letters, giving another glance around the building. Sure that he was alone, Jaimie set the letters on the altar, then got on his knees and bowed his head. He spoke in a loud whisper so that God could hear him but hopefully the man who had come in before couldn't.

"Dear God, it's Jaimie. I wrote some letters to my family, but since they are all dead I can't send them by myself. If you could, I'd like it if you got these letters to them for me. But don't worry if you can't right now, I know a lot of people are dying so you're probably really busy greeting people in heaven. No offense, but I hope I don't join you up there just yet. I'm scared to die..." Jaimie trailed off. Maybe he should clarify that he wasn't too scared about regular dying, it was just the horrible zombie death he was really scared of. But God knew a lot, he probably understood. "Anyway, I'll just leave the letters right here in your house, and you can come get them when you have time." Jaimie almost stood up, but then he remembered what his mom always said about praying. Don't just ask God for everything you want, remember to thank him for the things he gave you. And don't forget to say amen! "Oops." Jaimie sank back on his knees, bowing his head a little more. He bit his lip, trying to think of what there was to be thankful for when everything seemed really bad in the world right then. After a pause, he worked out how to end his prayer.

"And also, thank you for Jesus, and granola bars, and batman. Amen."

The whole zombie surviving Jace's onslaught was something that Dusty had missed entirely and was dumbfounded when Devan ran up and stared beating on it. He thought she was going for a bit of overkill by taunting it, but it was up to her how to kill the things. He had his pack ready to go, slightly overweight, but he wound remember to pass out everything once they reached the church that William had suggested. A church was a practical place, not to many people would have been there when it hit, they would have been running. Also, a place to worship would do good for the group's moral. He began to walk towards the front of the store, when his eye caught Moon.

Moon was still a little woozy from being dragged by Devan, "Girl's got some arm strength." She thought to herself as she stood beside a checkout lane. When she killed the zombie, she began clapping a bit drunkenly. She wasn't feeling too great, but that was probably due to the week old shots she had taken. Then her head started to spin a bit and before she knew it, she fell on her ass without even moving. "Woah.... What was in that drink?" She wondered to herself. Then it hit her, why everyone in the bar seemed to die happily and where they were rather than all over the place. They had spiked their drinks with some of the drug dealer's GHP, and slept through the attack or whatever happened to them. She managed to convey this knowledge to her group by slurring, "I think that dead guy roofied me." And then she puked.

When Dusty reached her, he had his flash light out and looked into her pupils. They were dilated, and Moon seemed slightly disoriented. When she said she had been roofied, he thought it must have been diluted in something, or she would already be out. He checked her pulse, asked her to count to ten, and basic medical type things, he said out loud. "Yep, minor GHP poisoning. What ever held the stuff must have been sitting out for a while, or she'd be completely out. She probably needs to lie down once we reach the church. Can you walk?" She responded by getting to her feet and walking in a stumbling manner, but had the hang of it.

"Tori," She said looking at the girl, "I think you should hold my gun. Never a good idea to drug and fire. Keep that in mind, Jasmine." She walked over to Devan on the counter. "What are we waiting for? An invitation from the zombie pope? Lets move!" She half yelled and stumbled more towards the door.

Jace let his head hit the ground after Devan had dispatched the zombie, breathing heavily. Damn-it, he had wanted to kill the frickin' zombie, maybe wrestle it and rip its god damn head off. He glared at her, hating that he had needed help in that moment, and knowing that she knew he had wanted to kill it. Dodger came trotting over and licked his face, breaking his scowl into a smirk. He scratched between the dogs ears as he sat op, then ran a hand through his messy hair full of zombie blood from Devans messy beating. The group seemed to be all here and fine, so he stood and whipped his knife off on his jeans, then tucked it back into its case.

He looked around at every one while he pretended to dust himself off, grunting a quick "Im fine" before glancing over at Devan. She and that other girl had just made a stop at the bar across the street and he dearly hoped that they had grabbed some smokes of some sort. It had been a couple days since his last one and he had to say, he was starting to feel irritated. Jace knew it was a bad habit, but he had started doing it with his friends back before the apocalypse had even started...mostly to piss off his parents. Funny thing was, once Z.A. had started, Jace realized how much he really needed them, but cigarettes were difficult to find in a world that everyone died in. He would ask her about it later though, maybe make a run of his own once they had settled down in the church. He knew he should help everyone get their, especially the kids, so he would wait to quell his addiction till then.

Jace gave a short whistle to Dodger to follow him and walked out first past a very drunk Moon. He rolled his eyes at her, hitching his gun closer to him before stepping outside with the dog at his heels. Jace took a deep breath, leaning against the brick wall of the store while he waited for the rest of the group to make its way out. He hated stopping for the damn supplies, even though he knew they needed them. It just always took such a long ass time and he was usually stuck waiting for the rest of the group. But, as much as Jace truly wanted to be off on his own, he knew that the group had saved him more times then he can count. It was stupid to think he could survive without them, but that didn't mean he couldn't bitch in his head.

The church actually didn't seem like that bad of an idea. Plenty of windows to escape from, lots of room to be on your own, and a steeple to use as a look-out. Plus, if he needed, it wasn't too far from the city so he could make a quick run back when everyone settled down to sleep.

Re: Z. A.

Maybe it could be revived somehow

Re: Z. A.

Just popping out of no where, to ask. Has this RPG officially died? I'm sad to see sucha good role-play die off.

-Cindy.

Re: Z. A.

Haha yeah, truue truue, XD welp, can't wait to see it!

Re: Z. A.

I'll try to write something tomorrow that just jumps him in. I feel like catching up would just be boring for you all to read and I would probably mess something up haha.

Re: Z. A.

Last I remember, he was in the conference/lunch room room pouring alcohol on his ankle.

That sounds really weird...

But, haha, yeah, that's the last I remember.

Maybe he can be Super Jace and go be emotionless with Zara.

Re: Z. A.

Okay, I really really want to reply, but Im not exactly sure where Jace is at the moment :( I lost him in the hotel and I can't figure out his position in the RP.

Help?

Re: Z. A.

Alrighty! Thank you, by the way. Now, to get my zombie on. I'm gonna try and make this post seem as epic as epically possible!

Nortion! Ring the bell! *A lisping hunchback looks up to The Master* [i]Yeessss maaassster.[i] *He staggers across the room to a large rope that reaches up into the tower to a large brass bell. Jumping up, he grabs the rope, pulling it down and letting out a awfully loud ring* **DING! DING! DING! EEEEEEKKKKKK EEEEKKKK!!!** *As the ringing continues, the louder the sound of vampire bats can be heard. One swooshes in from a window and hoovers next to The Master then transforms into Count Rossoff* "I vant to sock your blood! Vava-Va!" *Count then goes avtor...err...I mean after The Master, but before he can even get in a bite to the neck, Koolaid Man came bursting through the wall.* OH YEAH!! *Koolaid Man then turned into none other than the Wolfman.* RAR! RAR! RAR! HOOOWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH!!!! *The Wolfman and Count went into a bloody battle, but stopped too short to see The Master being bitten by a Zombie. The Master, now the Head Zombie, ordered Count and Wolfman out before staggering over to a large mechanical machine. They sat down on a stool. The machine turned out to be a overly made computer. They went straight to the best thing to go to now that they were, indeed, a zombie. He went to Zombie Apocalypse and began typing the next post.*

Damn. And to think I could have spent a whole 10+ minutes writing an actual post for the RP rather than writing this whole thing that basically has me (The Master, obviously) going into Zombie Mode. I like old Halloween legends and such oh too much.

I'll go and actually get started on that now ^-^ Let the Zombie Lords be with you!

Re: Z. A.

Aaron had just been bitten (Thus Zara's outbreak)

Dusty had been Bitten by Billy

We had no news about Moon yet

Re: Z. A.

Awesome! I'll go see where we left off and see what I can make happen! Question though because I honestly don't want to go and read through some of the posts: Who exactly did we kill so far? I'm pretty sure we left off with Dusty dead but is Billy dead yet? And is Aaron bit yet? And did we get Moon bit yet?

Just want to get this all clear so I can make mine as clear as possible. I feel likes it's been fo'ever!

Re: Z. A.

Still here fyi

Re: Z. A.

We were waiting for Brace to post for will, but now, honestly, I don't know where anyone went. Maybe if we start posting & stuff again, people will come back. I can work on a random ass post to send the ball rolling again and while I'm at it I'll edit the front page with the characters who have died off now which is Billy, Dusty, and Aaron I think...Imma need to snoop thee internet (AKA Google) for a pic for Aaron. Is Moon dead yet? I don't know, I'll make a DECEASED pic for her while I'm at it just because.

Ehh, but, yeah. Hopefully people come back now that Halloween is right around the corner and that means the zombies will be rising.

Re: Z. A.

Hey guys! Just randomly popping in to ask, is this roleplay still going on and we're just waiting on people to post? ORRRRRRRRR yeah. ;D

-Cindy.

Re: Z. A.

It's alright, we're just all dying of anticipation. But, yeah, take you're time. *Please, don't take me seriously.* Can't wait to see it!

Re: Z. A.

Hey sorry I haven't posted, but I will try to soon.

Re: Z. A.

@Brace Awesome! Can't wait to read it! Nighty-nighty, don't get bitten by a zombie tonight.

Re: Z. A.

Okay I will be posting in the morning (or when I wake up :p) until then goodnight. Peace.

Re: Z. A.

Stuff is HAPPENING!!! *arms flailing*

*Cough cough* Anyways...me read thee post Shadow & damn, shit be happenin'!! It was fine, & me can't wait for other peoples to post so more stuff can happen! :D

& @Ivisbo Yo, foo'! Where da hell ya' been!? XD Jkjk....anyways, it's aight, We won't fo'get'im. Haha well, can't wait to see what you come up with. :D

Re: Z. A.

Okay my post is up. I figured I would let anyone who wants to kill zombies and react to Zara's decision post before she goes through with it.

Also I hope it didn't seem like I am dictating the story. It was the only way I could figure out to get Aaron bitten since Tori was standing guard.

Re: Z. A.

So I miss you all immensely, but first week of college is kicking my ass. I apologize for my horrible posting ability...don't forget Jace? I'll have something up by this weekend and get him caught up for sure, I just need some freeee timmmme. He will be back to his dick-baggering attempt at 'cool'ness soon! >:D
