Anasti sighed “This is going to be a long one.. Its like this Mana.. a few years back I was in my home village, being honored as a god no big right, when all of a sudden, I hear of strange pale faced men with “fire sticks coming and taking people from other villages. As their god, I figure its another daemon coming in on my territory, right, so g in, and se a strange ship, with guns and men speaking a strange language taking slaves! I get angry, and show the men my power, by which I mean I slaughtered half of them, and burned out half of the minds of the others, ands I free the slaves. I then hijack the ship, using their strange maps to guide me to the land of Portugal.. Anasti stopped for breath, and took up some water, but then he started again. “I then used the memories I took from the captain of this vessel, to learn the languages, and I figured, since I’m in this Europe place, I should lean about the people, and their muskets.. And so that’s my story give or take..

"...Nice. My story's way shorter than that. I'm just a simple girl, dressed as a guy so that when my "betrothed" askes the humans if they say me, they say no. He's a nice guy and all, I just dont want to marry him. I've got problems with people telling me what to do, so when my father told me I was going to marry him I said Hell no."

Charles had made his way entirely around the building and watched as the two began to walk away from that daemon. One day, Charles vowed, he would rip that thing's still beating heart out.

Until then he would wander after Mana and Anasti. He crept behind them, almost ten feet and stuck to the shadows. He used his enhanced hearing to keep a tab on their conversation as well as their pace.

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby mronimusha on Tue Jan 30, 2007 1:59 pm

The lifeless body was the subject of much attention that night, but none more so than the man sitting atop one of the small trees. The commotion coming from the town was a little disturbing, but not something to get particularly concerned about. The conversation the first two to enter the forest were having, however, certainly was - the colossal man was talking about a fake soul and some sort of potion, evidently under the impression that the cause of the body's lifelessness was a lack of a soul.

Close, but no cigar.

More worrying yet was the shadowy figure following them; he guessed, from the stooped posture and his general demeanour, that he definitely didn't want to be seen or heard.

Well, that hardly takes a brain this size to figure out, does it?

The first two were started to move further away, and as the hiding man below started to move, he too realised he needed to get closer. Hanging from the branch, he hoped it was sturdy enough to hold his weight - he wasn't particularly heavy, but the branch looked just frail enough to sn-

Oh, dear.

Landing awkwardly in a pile of leaves, he prayed the first pair hadn't heard. The hiding man either must have been deaf or was concentrating too hard on staying hidden to listen, because he never made a movement. Taking a grateful breath, he moved to a clump of trees close together, clambering up the trunk sure-footed as a mountain goat. Tree-walking wasn't something he particularly enjoyed, but he was nonetheless at least proficient in it; he had to be to be a warrior, as an unstealthy warrior was probably going to die in short order.

Knife, please tell me I brought my knife...come on...

The knife wasn't down the side of his boot where he usually kept it, and if it wasn't there, it meant two things - one, he was getting more and more absentminded than ever, and two, he was weaponless. If push came to shove and he had to fight, it'd be a hell of a lot more difficult.

"Did you hear that sound?," Mana asked, her ears twitching benieth her hat. She pulled her sunglasses down and looked around the forest. "It sounded like a Tree branch breaking."
She couldnt see anything in the trees.
"Damn leaves."
Then she saw something lurking in the shadows. She recognised the posture and gave a little smile.
'Hi Charles,' she thought.
"Well, must'ave been my imagination," She said with a shrug. "Let's go."

He kept to the dark and the shady sides of walls. He knew when Mana saw him. She looked over, a little disgruntled and caught his eye.

The wolf let out a shallow bellow, not to be heard, but to express his anger for being scene. A small smile crept across his lips as she mouth the words "Hi Charles". Charles slipped her a wink and disappeared back into the shadows of the buildings.

Charles paused and slid to the ground with his back against the ground. He put a hand under his chin and began to wonder what to do. To follow thw pair, or to go back and fight Keisu to show him that he was indeed the most powerful...

The two were making slow progress through the forest, and Asterius was quite happy to get ahead of them. The accident with the tree was very annoying, but even if they'd heard they hadn't investigated, and so Asterius remained hidden. The wind had picked up since then - the elf hadn't even done it himself - and it gave him some cover; the rustling of the leaves and the shriek of the wind itself meant his actions were effectively silent. Hopping from tree to tree, Asterius felt oddly happy, it reminded him of his childhood, playing tree tag with his friends and running away from the adults when they tried to bring the children home.

But just as quickly, the happy memories were gone. It was always the way with Asterius, he just seemed to be a naturally depressing person. It was no particular fault of his own, it simply happened.

Dropping nimbly from the tree, Asterius landed in the clearing. He was a very agile person normally, but that only happened when he wasn't surprised by a branch snapping from under him. Kneeling down beside the lifeless body, the elf pressed his fingers into the girl's neck. There was a pulse - it was faint, but her heart was definitely still beating.

"Oh, Gilraen, what have they done to you? You're coming home with me."

Anasti pulled his staff to the back, wondering if he had heard something, but he shook off the feeling. He then placed a simple stone into the earth, and continued to walk towards Mana, catching up with her. “Hey Mana, “ he posed the question “So why do you have to go through this ‘bonding process’ anyway?

OOC: What? I'm confused now. Someone tok my other character (which is supposed to be fromthe future) said she was alive (THough we saidshe wasnt going to be) and ran off with her body...um...and now you're talking about Ran bandits...I'm so condfused!! Man Math class can turn your brain to mush so quickly it's not even funny.

Mana lifted her arms over her shoulders and streatched slightly.
"I dunno. I'm usually running so much that I dont get the time to get to know people. And you're really one of the only people who's even been able to tell I'm a girl. I mean you CANT have told from my figure. The trench coat hides my hips and my boobs are so small that I can get mistaken for a guy even without the trench coat. SO I figure since you could tell you'd be a cool person to get to know. Dont ask me how that makes sence. Sometime I dont even know how I think of this stuff."
'Though I wish I could've gotten to know Charles better. He was cool... and kinda hot,' she though.

[I read the rest of the thread fairly well, but I didn't catch anything specific on the body. Hence, this latest twist.]

"...you there! Put down that body!"

Asterius slid his right arm down the back of his neck, working to unfasten his blade quickly. The two demons had made it to the clearing just fast enough to stop him getting away with the body of the unconscious elf; mostly because she was a sight heavier than any elf Asterius had encountered. Sliding his machete-like blade from it's sheath strapped to his back, the warrior elf stepped over the prone body.

"Who are you? And what are your intentions with this elf?"

Damnation. Gilraen, what have you done?

Anasti walked up ahead, the daemon looking with a slight fire in his eyes, as he pulled out his staff from his back “I am Anasti, guardian of the Ibo tribe, from the land that you would probably call Africa, now you Eldar scum, give me a reason I should not wipe your race from this human world.. Anasti seemed to be barley holding himself back from attacking the elf

As Kiesu had gotten half way through rebuilding a slightly crude inn he heard the commotion that was going on "Damnit This is not how I imagined spending time here!" HE shouted as he headed to the lcommotion still holding a support beam

After a while he reached the clearing "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSED T' BE?!!!?" Kiesu shouted at anatsi.

He looked at Al's body and than looked back at anatsi "OH How bad am I gonna fuck you up?!?!!"

"Wipe...our race out? Kid, are you joking or just stupid? Besides, I've got nothing to do with you and your ladyfriend, I'm just here on orders myself. This elf right here escaped from a prison that's technically under the influence of my city, and like I said, I'm supposed to bring her back. Now, you've caught me at a rare time - see, I'm not particularly interested in beating the snot out of people who want to stop me. And I'd like nothing better than to just take this elf back to her secure cell where she can't be a danger any more."

Asterius narrowed his eyes; his lies always required conviction to come off properly, and pretending Gilraen was a dangerous convict was a big lie indeed. "Now, as my mentor Asmodean sometime said, sling your hook."

A long slender hook flew towards Anasti and Mana, it slashed into the ground several inches away from them, the silence causing it's movements to be deterred quite while and hidden from hearing of the most acute even. Within a blur a figure docked out in a black trenchcoat hiding a tuxedo of black, and a white vest and a well carved black hat of a 18th Century pattern. Platform dancing shoes edited to withstand damage and coated with spikes...

The man looked up and tilted his head, smiling. His face was pale and embedded with cunning and a dangerous muderous intent filled his presence, however, his smile appeared to block all those and he nodded in the two's direction. Judas Akakun extended both hands, with a white glove with markings of a spiked wheel on it.

"Pleasure to meet you. Could you two direct me to the nearest inn or rest area...?"He asked gently, his voice carrying softness, yet a quiet killing mood. The hook undetached itself and flew back into his sleeve of the trenchcoat.

Anasti jumped back, the turban wearing daemon shocked to see two other creatures appear near him. He assumed a defensive stance, looking closely at the elf, appearing to clam down slightly, as the fear on his face turned to calm… “ One, Don’t call me a kid, I only look young because my people age quite slowly, and two Elf, I’m sorry about the confusion, I thought you were a member of the Eldar... those bastards are the reason why we were forced to Earth, and to make it up to you, I’ll help you transport this prisoner to whatever city you are going to, since I must learn about your culture. And to you.. “he looked at the person wearing some sort of suit. “My buddy’s got an in a few miles back, just follow the path into the village, you can’t miss it. Anasti quickly shook the man’s hand, as he twisted his staff around, the plain painted piece of wood revealing a strange metallic core. Anasti walked towards Keisu and simply stated. “Keisu, buddy, I don’t want to fight you buddy, but if I have to, you shall learn the power of the Tau Empire!

Eldar? How does he know about Eldar? Why are you asking me, I don't know! Ask him!

"Explain. The Eldar forced you to earth? Where are you from? How do you know about the Eldar?"

The turban-wearing demon looked quizzically at Asterius, and he realised the two seemed to be operating on different paths.

"Look, Eldar is the elven word for "elf". It's the word we used to use in polite conversation, but elf just proliferated because everyone around here speaks Common. And before you ask, Common is this language, the one everybody speaks. You understand what I mean, right? But enough about that - you say the Eldar forced you to earth. I need you to explain what the hell you're talking about."
