Consider this thread the WDL's equivalent to the Demon thread. Really no other introduction aside from that, so let's get right into it.

Ranks!

Ranks are denoted by nothing except an armband of various colours, and a pin (or multiple pins) or a WDL Insignia embroidered onto it. These are the ranks that you may, or may not, encounter in this roleplay. This is also the WDL's Equivalent to the Demon's 'Z Rank - X Rank' System. Here we go, from lowest to highest:

Recruit: None

Lower 3rd Class: Red Armband
Middle 3rd Class: Red Armband + Silver Pin
Upper 3rd Class: Red Armband + Gold Pin

Lower 2nd Class: Purple Armband
Middle 2nd Class: Purple Armband + Silver Pin
Upper 2nd Class: Purple Armband + Gold Pin

Lower 1st Class: Black Armband
Middle 1st Class: Black Armband + Silver Pin
Upper 1st Class: Black Armband + Gold Pin

Knight: Black Armband with a white Insignia.
Master Knight: Black Armband with a white Insignia and a Silver Pin. Those who've given extended service, and proven their abilities on the battlefield eclipse all others.
Knight Commander: Black Armband with a white Insignia and a Gold pin. Those who've given extended service, and proven their capabilities at commanding and leading troops.
Paladin: Black Armband with a Gold Insignia and Silver Pin. Those who've given extended service, and are more attuned to the Heavens and magic than most.

Principal of the Academy: Black Armband with Gold Insignia. The one in charge of the WDL's Military Academy and the one who oversees everything involved in the academic side of things.

Archknight: Black Armband with a Gold Insignia and a Gold Pin. The highest rank possible, a position given by those above Earth itself. A literal warrior of light.

Why the hell are there so many Zody's?!"

The WDL's Base!

The WDL, aside from its military functions, also has an Academy designed to train, equip, and act as a living quarters for their soldiers. Each and every exorcist is given their own dormitory, and these dormitories acts as small apartments. One bedroom with a closet, a loungeroom that contains a short hallway to the front door, a bathroom and a kitchen. Small quarters, but enough for one person easily. One laundry per floor, with enough things for 5 people to be doing their washing at once.

The WDL provides free clothing, accessories and basic stuff like towels, bedsheets, and the like. The grounds is divided unto three 'slices'; living section, the Academy and the actual Military base. In the very center is a building I'll get into when it becomes relevant.

Every soldier gets their hands on one 'primary weapon' that's specifically designed to handle Demons and Non-Humans. Whatever it is is your choice, but they deal mostly in melee weapons. Of course, if you wanted a rifle for long-range combat, that's fine as long as you personally ask (or beg) for it.
In-depth, the dormitories are more like apartment buildings, and the entirety of the living section functions a lot like a small city- once you get to the Academy, you're probably not going to leave. You're giving your life away to fight monsters, after all.

Aside from the cafeteria on the bottom floor of the dormitories, there's also plenty of cafes and leisure activities you can feel free to participate in. The Academy slice comprises of the Academy and the other relevant buildings such as gyms, a swimming pool designed for practice with underwater combat, a firing range, sparring rooms, etc. The Academy is obviously the largest building, which includes the majority of classrooms and yet another cafeteria for during lunch hours. Assembly/Performance Hall is one of the biggest rooms in the Academy- essentially a gigantic amphitheater.

Anyways, the Military Base slice of the WDL cheesecake is really self explanatory. Armory, deployment zones, war rooms are all there.

Classes!

The WDL have Ranks, but also have classes. There are three major classes in the WDL system- Close Combat, Ranged Combat, and Magical.

Close Range classes are named after the types of weapons they use. Sabers, Katana, Longswords and the like are all under the same Swordsman category. However, there are also Brawlers who use hand-to-hand weapons and combat, as well as Daggers. Axemen, who specialise in the use of axes, are also a thing- the last class is called Dreadnoughts, focusing on the use of maces and other blunt instruments, while also wearing absolutely absurd amounts of armour. The majority of Exorcists are considered Close Range, because the standard issue weapon is a blessed longsword.

Ranged classes are those comprising of Bowmen, Snipers, and Assault Infantry. Bowmen, well, use bows. Snipers are the Ranged class that stays at the longest range, and Assault Infantry are usually equipped with firearms such as pistols, assault rifles, or shotguns. Yes, they have holy shotguns. Deal with it. Assault Infantry are also well-armoured like the Dreadnoughts, due to their close proximity to threats. They also come equipped with an excess of holy water grenades.

The last class is Magic. They're varied and powerful, and usually saved for a last ditch effort since they're capable of turning the tide. There are only two subclasses, being Offensive Magic and Defensive Magic. What class you would belong to depends on your combat abilities and fighting style. Prefer a sword? Swordsman. Prefer to rely on your magic? Offensive or Defensive Magic. Enjoy guns? Assault Infantry.
