This post will be about Prophecies and Prophecy Stones.
Prophecy in Entaros is given by a type of mage called a Prophet. Prophets have the same magic regardless of culture or race. Prophets have visions which they write down in prophecy books. Only those with the gift can remember the words they read from these books. Prophets and other mages will spend their whole lives trying to figure out the chronology of prophecies, trying to discover when they will begin. Prophecy that begins on its own is called Natural Prophecy, and has the least amount of unforeseen effects. However, a prophet may sacrifice his own life energy to activate a prophecy, to jumpstart it, irregardless of the chronology of Prophecy. This will have many unforeseen effects, seeing as it renders all prophecy that would come after it null and void. Typically avoided. But it does happen.
Prophecy Stones on the other hand are large constructions that are brought into existence via the concentrated work of several Prophets, typically ones who have had the same vision, which is extraordinarily rare. These large pillars are present across Entaros, and their words and letters reconfigure dependent on if one who is of the Prophecy spelled on the stone touches it. If one is ungifted, the first to touch it will receive the Gift in full. Any after that will merely receive what is called a Spark. So they will be unable to use magic, but they will be able to see magic.
