Azusa Yamanouchi ~ "Oh, you mean the girl who works at the shrines scattered across town? I don't know her very well, but she seems a bit troubled, if you don't mind my wording. Or perhaps it isn't Azusa that's troubled, but instead something to do with her home life. I live nearby her place of residence, and it seems that her entire family has fallen onto hard times. Of course, I'm not just one to pry and ask her straight out what's going on, especially given the fact that we've only ever spoken in passing. Her intensity and standoffish attitude couldn't have just developed from nothing; it definitely stems from a heavy burden being placed on her shoulders from a very young age. Although we aren't close, I wouldn't mind sitting down to lunch with her, if only to pick her mind. Plus, it doesn't seem like she has a lot of friends, so if I can bring a little bit of happiness into her life, I would be more than happy to give up an afternoon or two to listen to her talk. God knows how much just talking to someone can help, and although I've seen that she's not very honest in the responses she gives some people, I'm not one to judge. She must have her reasons, just like I have my reasons for the things that I do and say. I hope that one day she'll be comfortable enough to speak to me as a friend!" | ◑
