Blu and Alex have a very long, complicated history. He used to be one of Blu's targets. And eventually, Alex became strong enough to stand up for himself, and Blu changed. Alex still harbours a lot of anger towards him, but at some point, it became attraction. Alex knows how messed up it is, but he can't stay away either.

Yeah, she still hasn't forgiven me since I broke up with her.
Olive and Alex had a brief fling a short while ago. But Alex didn't want to let her in, and it all ended badly. They've never exactly made up since then.

It's not how she wants it to go down or how she'll let it, but Karin needs some time to come to terms with her jealousy and learn how to not hold onto her little brother so tightly.

She's also very appreciative, even if she might not say it, that Derrick has a friend like Elijah.

Alex and Blu were rather the tumultuous pair. Anyone in school can tell you that Blu made it a personal goal to bully Alex. Maybe it was a jealousy of the other boy, or perhaps Blu let his feelings cloud his judgement. He had power he abused it, much as it goes. But oddly, after the accident, Blu and Alex have become more on the friendly side. With Blu still in the top of the school's hierchy, he doesn't actively associate with Alex, but does have a thing for him.

The two butted heads no doubt, Lyn didn't exactly agree with Blu's princess demeanor. But there was a common aspect between the two, partying. They used to go on party binges during the summer. They got close, but after the accident, Blu wasn't really allowed to go anywhere without his "parakeets" as he called them unless it was school. So he had to dial back on the partying, but he does keep in contact with her, and still think of her as a friend. Though he really only keeps to his social following.

Willow and Riley worked on the school paper together. Willow was one of the writers and Riley was the editor. Due to the topic of some of the stories, she had to start sabotaging some of her stories which have led to some animosity between them. Riley wishes she could tell her the reasons for her actions and get some of their friendship back, but to reveal her deal with the principal would reveal her relationship with Elena.

I guess now she subconsciously ignores or hates me. Or both."
Jack had to push away Lyn after a while of rebelling together. Jack's mental health was rapidly deteriorating at a faster rate than before, thus they had to stop being friends. Their parents at one point had set them up, though they also had to break that off. Before reuniting with her a year after, Jack found her taking drugs and she reacted badly, lashing out. Thus, Jack thinks that she hates him and wants nothing to do with him.

Karin usually treats Jack like a normal person, not a rich petty kid. Being called petty and rich for most his life, he views Karin as a kind friend, and she's genuinely trying to be his friend but he's wary of it because of his history with Lyn and how it might interfere with the two of them as feelings of his previous relationship (his first ever relationship) with Lyn linger.

He's...nice. I'm the wrong person to ask. He's the sister of Karin and a friend of Alex, and I only talk to him to ask him about how Karins doing. I think he is a tad bit annoyed by that...
Derrick is a mutual friend. Jack may know a few things about him, though he's mostly a stranger. Jack almost only talks to Derrick to ask about Karin, thinking Karin is the person that wants to see Jack the least.
