Peak: 5 hours - 10 hours
Offset: 2 hours - 4 hours
Hangover/After Effects: 1 days - 4 days

Subjective Effects

Physical Effects

  • Stimulation - Stimulation present on Elysium is likened to the stimulation found in methamphetamine, and can be described as a forced stimulation. This means at higher doses the user may find it difficult to or impossible to resist clenching their jaw, involuntary bodily shaking, unsteadiness, and loss of motor control.
  • Abnormal heartbeat
  • Muscle contractions
  • Muscle spasms
  • Vibrating vision - This is also known as nystagmus. This is most common in high doses.
  • Tactile hallucination - High doses or prolonged usage can lead to hallucinatory sensations of bugs crawling on the surface or underneath one's skin. This is typically referred to as delusional parasitosis or more informally as “meth mites”.
  • Sedation - This is typically present in high doses, and can sometimes mix uncomfortably with the stimulation, encouraging and 'forcing' activity in the user despite intense feelings of discomfort and a want/need to rest and relax.
  • Perception of body lightness - This creates the sensation that the body is floating and has become entirely weightless. This effect is oddly stimulating and encourages physical activities at low to moderate doses by making the body feel light and effortless to move.
  • Tactile suppression - On high doses, the user may experience a blending of tactile hallucinations and tactile suppression, leading to a distinct numbness when touching objects while at the same time punctuated by a 'crawling' underneath one's skin, sending tingles up their body due to the numbness.
  • Pain relief
  • Decreased libido
  • Gustatory hallucination
  • Orgasm suppression
  • Physical autonomy
  • Bronchodilation - This can sometimes be very apparent and make it difficult for a user to swallow.
  • Vasoconstriction - This can be incredibly dangerous when combined with other vasoconstrictors like nicotine.
  • Teeth grinding - Also called bruxism or gurning, this is incredibly intense and sometimes can feel like it's forced.
  • Temporary erectile dysfunction
  • Mouth numbing
  • Pupil dilation
  • Frequent urination
  • Difficulty urinating - Combined with the frequent urination this can lead to incredibly unpleasant experiences, and even be painful like a brick wall is stopping the urethra.

Cognative Effects

  • Analysis enhancement - This is present on high doses.
  • Anxiety & paranoia
  • Analysis suppression - This is present on low doses only.
  • Ego inflation
  • Cognitive euphoria - In high doses this can overwrite any feelings of anxiety.
  • Compulsive redosing - This is incredibly dangerous due to the low threshold for overdosing on Elysium.
  • Increased libido - This is only cognitive and is disappointing to some user when combined with the decreased physical libido, orgasm suppression, and temporary erectile dysfunction.
  • Increased music appreciation
  • Motivation enhancement
  • Thought acceleration
  • Time compression - This can be described as the experience of time speeding up and passing much quicker than it usually would when sober.
  • Wakefulness
  • Déjà vu
  • Conceptual thinking
  • Disinhibition
  • Dream potentiation
  • Anxiety suppression - This is only present on high doses.
  • Derealization
  • Focus suppression
  • Introspection
  • Memory suppression
  • Ego death
  • Personal bias suppression
  • Spatial disorientation
  • Suggestibility enhancement
  • Irritability - Elysium's irritability is rare but intense in high doses and usually occurs during the peak (if at all).

Visual Effects

  • Double vision
  • Visual drifting
  • Brightness alteration
  • Pattern recognition suppression - This effect generally occurs at higher doses and makes one unable to recognize and interpret perceivable visual data.
  • Acuity suppression
  • Frame rate suppression
  • Machinescapes
  • Internal hallucination (autonomous entities; settings, sceneries, and landscapes; perspective hallucinations and scenarios and plots) - This effect can be comprehensively described through its variations as delirious in believability, fixed in style, equal in new experiences and memory replays in content, autonomous in controllability and solid in style.
  • External hallucination (autonomous entities; settings, sceneries, and landscapes; perspective hallucinations and scenarios and plots) - This effect can be comprehensively described through its variations as delirious in believability, autonomous in controllability and solid in style. The most common theme for this effect to follow is one of experiencing and talking to friends when they are not actually present.
  • Scenery slicing
  • Environmental orbism
  • Environmental cubism
  • Perspective distortion

Disconnective Effects

  • Cognitive disconnection
  • Physical disconnection
  • Visual disconnection - This eventually results in the experience of the notorious "k-hole" or, more specifically, holes, spaces and voids alongside of structures.

Multi-sensory Effects

  • Synaesthesia

Trans-personal Effects

  • Existential self-realization
  • Identity alteration
  • Near-death experience
  • Spirituality enhancement
  • Unity and interconnectedness
  • Mana stimulation - This effect can be described as a need to use one's magical powers, similar to the physical stimulation of the drug. Unlike the physical stimulation this feels a lot less forced on low doses, however on higher doses this can feel overwhelming.
  • Mana overflow - Magic users experience a rare disorder known as 'mana overflow' in moderate to high doses. This results in a magic user's power fluctuating constantly and - similar to one's heart rate - can feel like the user is ready to 'explode' due to its expansion and fluctuation. In some cases, users suffer heart attacks if they try to resist the mana overflow. It is highly recommended in higher doses you have a means to expel excess magical energy in a safe environment.

After Effects

  • Anxiety
  • Appetite suppression
  • Cognitive fatigue
  • Irritability - This is less extreme than the rage that is sometimes experienced on the peak of a high dose.
  • Motivation suppression
  • Sleep paralysis - Some users note sleep paralysis after consuming Elysium.
  • Suicidal ideation
  • Though deceleration
  • Psychosis
  • Wakefulness
  • Compulsive redosing - During the offset, almost immediately once the user has come down, they may experience intense cravings for the drug. This is dangerous due to how sensitive Elysium dosing is.
  • Magical fatigue - This is a spiritual drain which can make users feel like they have no energy to use any of their magic.

Combinations

  • Cannabis - When combined, the cognitive effects are greatly enhanced and many negative cognitive effects are suppressed. This should be done with caution however, as anxiety and chances of a panic attack are increased.
  • MDMA - These drugs can only be combined at low doses. Combining these drugs at high doses can be lethal. MDMA's physical stimulation combined with Elysium's physical stimulation can present a bizarre euphoria which can leave users incapacitated in a mixture of pleasure and confusion.

Addiction and Overdose Potential

Lethal Dosage: 25 µg / kg (average lethal dose for an 88.8 kg male is 2.22 mg)
Tolerance and Addiction: Elysium is incredibly addictive, and users should be incredibly careful. Waiting weeks before redosing and only taking low doses can combat addiction. Elysium has no cross-tolerances with other drugs (including itself), meaning users can compulsively redose with Elysium and continue to experience the effects.
Dangerous Interactions: Heavy doses of stimulants increase the chances of panic attacks and heart attacks. Psychedelics increase the chances of panic attacks, psychosis, and seizures.

Legality

Planets

  • Terra - Elysium is a gray-area chemical with research still being conducted on this compound. No official, legal ruling has been made on its usage however it is incredibly controversial.
  • Aschen Empire - Elysium is illegal. Possession is punishable by imprisonment for 20 years.
  • Taiyou - Elysium is illegal.

Pattern

Street Name: Pattern
Chemical Name: Desomorphine-3-Diethylamine
Brand Name: --
Manufacturer: Unknown, unattributed creator

Usage and Information

Routes of Administration: Intravenous

Dosage

Threshold: 5 - 10 mg
Light: 10 - 15 mg
Common: 15 - 30 mg
Strong: 30 - 50 mg
Heavy: 50+ mg

(WARNING: HEAVY DOSES OF Desomorphine-3-Diethylamine CAN BE LETHAL!)

Duration

Total: 4 hours - 7 hours
Onset: 30 seconds - 1 minute
Come Up: 30 minutes - 1 hour
Peak: 2 hours - 4 hours
Offset: 1 hour - 2 hours
Hangover/After Effects: 18 hours - 1 day

Subjective Effects

Physical Effects

  • Sedation
  • Physical euphoria
  • Constipation
  • Cough suppression
  • Decreased libido
  • Difficulty urinating
  • Itchiness
  • Nausea - This nausea is notably less intense than morphine.
  • Pain relief
  • Pupil constriction
  • Respiratory depression
  • Skin flushing
  • Appetite suppression
  • Orgasm suppression
  • Spontaneous physical sensations - The "body high" of Pattern can be characterized as prominent in comparison to its accompanying visual and cognitive effects. It behaves as a euphoric, fast-moving, sharp and location specific or generalized tingling sensation. For some, it is manifested spontaneously at different, unpredictable points throughout the trip, but for most, it maintains a steady presence that rises with the onset and hits its limit once the peak has been reached. At moderate to high doses of Pattern, many users have reported that if this sensation hits its highest level it can become so overwhelming that users find themselves writhing in pleasure.
  • Tactile enhancement - Feelings of enhanced tactile sensations are consistently present at moderate levels throughout most Pattern trips. If level 8A geometry is reached, an intense sensation of suddenly becoming aware of and being able to feel every single nerve ending across a person's entire body all at once is consistently present.
  • Changes in felt bodily form - This effect is often accompanied by a sense of warmth or unity and usually occurs during and up to the peak of the experience or directly afterward. Users can feel as if they are physically part of or conjoined with other objects. This is usually reported as feeling comfortable in its sensations and even peaceful, compared to other substances that induce this effect like salvia.
  • Temperature regulation suppression
  • Bodily control enhancement
  • Stamina enhancement - This is generally mild in comparison to traditional stimulants.
  • Dehydration
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Increased heart rate
  • Increased perspiration
  • Muscle contractions
  • Increased salivation

Cognative Effects

  • Analysis enhancement - This effect is consistent in its manifestation and introspection dominant.
  • Cognitive euphoria
  • Anxiety suppression
  • Compulsive redosing - Due to its fast onset and shorter duration of action, this effect is more pronounced than it is for other opiates like morphine. Compulsive redosing also occurs in users to temporarily offset the negative after effects of Pattern.
  • Dream potentiation
  • Conceptual thinking
  • Introspection
  • Personal bias suppression
  • Novelty enhancement
  • Delusion
  • Déjà vu
  • Increased music appreciation
  • Memory suppression
  • Ego death
  • Thought loops
  • Suggestibility enhancement

Visual Effects

  • Colour enhancement - In comparison to other psychedelics, this effect is often reported to be brighter and more "radiant" in its character.
  • Frame rate enhancement
  • Drifting (melting, breathing, morphing and flowing) - In comparison to other psychedelics, this effect can be described as highly detailed yet cartoon in its appearance. The distortions are slow and smooth in motion and fleeting in their appearance.
  • Colour shifting
  • Tracers
  • Recursion
  • After images
  • Double vision - At high doses, the eyes un-focus and re-focus uncontrollably. This creates a blurred effect and double vision that is present no matter where one focuses their eyes. This can be so intense it becomes impossible to read or drive.
  • Geometry - The visual geometry that can be produced by Pattern are described as being similar to LSD. It can be comprehensively described through its variations as primarily intricate in complexity, algorithmic in form, unstructured in organization, brightly lit, colourful in scheme, synthetic in feel, multicoloured in scheme, flat in shading, sharp in edges, large in size, fast in speed, smooth in motion, angular in its corners, non-immersive in-depth and consistent in intensity. At higher dosages, it almost consistently results in states of Level 8A visual geometry over Level 8B.

Auditory Effects

  • Auditory enhancement
  • Auditory distortion
  • Auditory hallucination

Multi-Sensory Effects

  • Synaesthesia - In its fullest manifestation, this is a very rare and non-reproducible effect. Increasing the dosage can increase the likelihood of this occurring, but seems to only be a prominent part of the experience among those who are already predisposed to synaesthetic states.

Trans-personal Effects

  • Existential self-realization
  • Spirituality enhancement
  • Perception of eternalism
  • Perception of self-design
  • Perception of predeterminism
  • Perception of interdependent opposites
  • Unity and interconnectedness

Combinations

  • TBA

Addiction and Overdose Potential

Lethal Dosage: 25 mg / kg (average lethal dose for an 88.8 kg male is 2.22 grams)
Tolerance and Addiction: Pattern is incredibly addicting, and tolerance is built up with prolonged usage.
Dangerous Interactions: Depressants can lead to fatal levels of respiratory depression, can increase the likelihood of vomiting while unconscious and thus leading to someone choking on their own vomit and dying in their sleep. Stimulants can lead to increased heart rate which can thus lead to a heart attack.

Legality

Planets

  • Terra -
  • Aschen Empire - Pattern is illegal. Possession is punishable by imprisonment for 20 years.
