This is the code for our NPC thread, if anyone wanted to make an NPC. I'd ask that you clear with me before you post, as I will be the primary one posting here for plot purposes. But I would love to see y'all come up with some as well!

BACKGROUNDxxBefore the hero service, Aura's life was nothing more than average. Only her mother was gifted with a small ability of enhanced lung capacity, which was only suited for short diving excursions. She is an example of those who serve in the Hero Service off the field, leading quite normal lives compared to field agents. The gift of superhuman ability was only passed then to Aura and her younger brother, skipping her younger sister entirely. Her brother's ability wasn't much to speak of either, so they were all raised with the idea that they would lead average lives.

Aura's ability flourished the moment she attained a small group of friends with their own abilities. She wanted nothing more than to prove herself on a battlefield, rather than play on the sidelines like her mother. When the time came and she joined the Hero Service, she worked hard to make a name for herself and made herself worthy of a position on patrol. After all, a hero who could reflect an enemy's attack back to them was someone they needed on the field. She was stationed in Portland after years of training in sunny Key West, but she wouldn't trade the warmth of the sun for the warmth she feels protecting the citizens of Portland almost every night. Plus, she's a softie for new heroes fresh from their training years and often takes them under her wing.

BACKGROUNDxxBefore the hero service, Kylan had no body and nothing. His parents were untraceable after leaving him at a fire station as a baby. Most thought it was better than leaving him for death in an alleyway, but the life he lived was nothing charitable. He escaped from the orphanage and lived with the street kids of Detroit. They were parasites, parading him as a leader of their group to use him for his dark ability. His ability was their winning lottery ticket and he hardly saw the reaping. Sure, they kept him fed and praised his work, but this wasn't living.

He met an agent from the Hero Service during his first years of puberty, where he could hardly touch people without his power exploding out. She took the rambunctious child under her wing, though he hardly wanted to leave his crew. But she showed him how to control himself, and the true way of living. She showed him that he could be one of the heroes he'd always watched with envy. He made sure he was ready for the Hero Service, and the agent turned a blind eye as he delve into vigilante work before he could officially work. He worked hard during his training too, and was sent to patrols with one of the agent's good friends. He and Echo have patrolled Portland for years now, forming a tight bond between the two heroes.

BACKGROUNDxxAngel used to feel like life had given him the short end of the stick. His father was a powerful hero in Phoenix, and his mother was a powerfully influential court judge. His two younger sisters exploded with their own great abilities. And Angel? He made them weak. His ability weakened their abilities to the point where they could no longer use them, and to him that was a curse for most of his life. It wasn't until one of his sisters lost control that he realized he could be a gift too.

He had a lot of friends with uncontrollable abilities, and even before he became an agent, he was helping others learn to control their abilities. He was one of the few that would be chosen to help other heroes. He became a Department of Superhuman Affairs agent, rather than a Hero Serviceman. There weren't many allowed that had abilities, as most of the training agents had technology and intel to negate the trainees, but he was crucial to teams with more dangerous abilities that would require a more powerful negation technique. Portland wasn't a far move for him, and he connected with the heroes in the area to hone his training style. He's been able to train two teams as a training agent, but this is the most powerful team he's been assigned to. This was the team that the Department had their eyes on, and they wouldn't be able to make a move without their approval.

BACKGROUNDxxA successful politican's life has no time for a real relationship with their child. Valentina learned that quickly, being raised by a nanny to be the perfect call for her father to show off at his galas. No one kept her ability in check, so it festered with her bitterness and resentment towards her family. It was a dark energy, something she was slowly letting herself lose control over. It was too late when they finally took notice.

Her nanny was the first victim of her abilities, before a very important gala to celebrate her father's re-election. She was brought to the gala practically exploding with the dark light, and did not leave before taking out all of the guests with blinding, burning light. She took this as a sign, she was meant to cause chaos. It was her destiny after making the pureness of light into something horrible. She disappeared from society, building up her own crew to cause havoc in the very city that allowed her to become this monster. She has been active in Portland for years now, turning from the chaos child to a strategic villain who has not been caught to this day. Blindspot has gathered intel of those heroes on patrol, and recruits henchmen to combat their very skills. She doesn't attack unless it is thoroughly planned out and leaves nothing to chance, which has kept her alive.
