Xalterra has many terrains that vary from thick forests, barren deserts and peaceful plains. The wastelands of this kingdom have become home to those who don't really belong to any of the kingdoms. But, living out in these lawless lands, it is every man for himself. Although it is still under Dwarven laws, unless harm befalls true Xalterrans, the King doesn't bother himself with the squabbles of the nomads and criminals. It is lawless country, filled with thieves, killers and every other walk of life. If the animals don't kill you, someone else will. There are merchant villages, slave towns, brothels and everything else out in the lawless lands. Those who can survive there thrive, while the weak disappear overnight.
Throughout Xalterra, connected by the Dwarven tunnels and roads are multiple Dwarven cities. These cities live far underground, deep in mountains, and a fair few are on the surface. They are governed directly by the King, with only Dwarven citizens. They are spread all over Xalterra, branching out from The Hearth, which is the largest of the cities, located at the center of the kingdom. The Hearth is a large town buried deep within the heart of the nation's largest mountain, home to the royals and a majority of the Dwarves. Unlike Ilyos and Avalon, any species is welcome within in the cities. But, with the impending war, the King has had no choice but to be more selective about those who pass their boarders.
