Yelizaveta always thought of Jupiter as a rival. Every class they shared turned into a pissing contest, with both of them testing the limits of the other's abilities and one of them always coming short. Somehow, at some point, they started seeing each other as friends. Their competitive spirit may not have died, but their animosity did, and they quickly grew very close to one another. As the years passed and Jupiter steadily grew stronger, Liza found that she no longer measured up to the other witch. It created this rift between them. Liza grew cold and distant, her words carrying a little more bite than usual. Jupiter wasn't having it. Their brief stint into enemy territory quickly ended with some heated hate sex, allowing them to work out all that tension. Since then it's been just like old times, only now Liza's flirtations hold a little bit more weight.

If Yelizaveta could ever love someone at all, she could see herself falling for Othello. In some ways she has, but she doesn't want to break their heart by leading them on. She cares very deeply for them, always offering words of comfort whenever they need it, always being their shoulder to cry on. They bring out a nurturing and deeply affectionate side to her that no one else gets to see. One can often find them laid up on a couch with Othello's head in her lap, her fingers carding through his hair, muttering sweet nothings. She only refers to him by pet names when they're alone, talking to them gently and singing lullabies that her mother used to sing to her. They humanize her in a way no one else can, bringing her out of the fog and into the light.

"An old flame of mine. Shame he didn't take our 'break-up' well."

They used to date. Or at least, that's the impression Eden had. Yelizaveta doesn't really 'date' anyone. One night stands or friends with benefits are more her speed, enabling her to keep people at an emotional distance. Some people can handle that kind of arrangement, others - like Eden - could not. When he wanted more, Liza couldn't give it to him, and she tried to end things between them as civil as possible. She won't sleep with him again because, despite popular belief, she isn't heartless. It's not she actually wants him to get hurt; in her own way, she does still care for the boy. Although he may not want much to do with her anymore, Liza understands that it's for the best. As far as she's concerned, there are no hard feelings between them.

These two can only seem to handle each other in small doses. It's not because they have nothing in common or that they become easily bored with one another - in fact, it's quite the opposite. When they can stomach it, these two actually compliment each other very well. Their humor is similar enough that they can banter back and forth for hours, an endless repertoire of one-liners and sassy remarks that'll have anyone around them bursting at the seams. It's only a problem when the two of them start battling for the spotlight. One gets a retort in just a second faster than the other, stealing their thunder, and the tension builds. Now when they bicker it's accompanied by lingering stares and mingling breaths, their faces just inches apart, and a whole new kind of tension

"Oh he's very fun, and such a good lay as well."

There's nothing more overrated than being 'just friends'; this especially holds true when it comes to Malachai. These two may be good friends, but they make even better lovers. Anyone with eyes could see that Kai is attractive. Why would Liza be any different? The sexual tension between them was palpable right from the start, but it wasn't until they found each other at a party did they realize their true potential. Kai is Liza's 'bad influence', pulling her out of the potion room and into his bed, drowning themselves at the bottom of a bottle. These two had become fast friends, and now they're frequent fuck buddies. Just don't bring these two to a party unless you want complete and utter chaos.

Shiloh had originally met Jupiter when they were both children, as they met when Shiloh first attended The Academy. Right off the bat, these two had an interesting dynamic, as Shiloh was walled off and even a bit 'cold' back then. But, as time went on and the two spent more time around each other, they found more similarities with each other than anything else. And after that, it was history. From pulling stupid pranks, making stupid jokes, and having to sneak back into the Academy at night during breaks and holidays. To even deep conversations that would go into the late hours of the night. To say that Shiloh would do just about anything for Jupiter at this point, is putting it lightly. She owes Jupiter more than anyone would know, and considers herself lucky for every moment the two have spent together. The good, and the not so good. Then there was that day where Shiloh had noticed that Jupiter was missing, and no one seemed to know where she had run off to. Shiloh had managed to track her down, and was the one to not only find Jupe, but also put out the fires and even carry an injured Jupiter to the infirmary and healers. Shiloh hadn't left her side for days until she knew her best friend was going to be okay, and even then, Shiloh kept careful eyes on Jupiter every say since then. Shiloh partially blames herself for not having seen the signs until it was too late, and it has only caused Shiloh to be even more protective and ever present with Jupiter. Shiloh almost lost her once before, and she'd be damned if it ever were to happen again..

"If we were a cliche, we'd be the enemies who surprisingly work well together."
While these two are by no means close, Shiloh has been able to glean a few things from their time together. One, Otto and her share too much in common. They're both walled off, guarded, and self destructive people. Who only seem to be angry at the world, and a vast majority of those in it. And two, Otto sure as hell doesn't like it when Shiloh wakes them up with pans and firecrackers. Which, has usually resulted in furniture being thrown, and a stray cast iron pan either hitting someone in the head, or flying out a nearby window.

Shiloh can't exactly remember when she first met Eden if she were to be honest, but she does remember him being one of the earlier students she had met when she first joined The Academy. In his own way, he was like her. A loner, and Shiloh could spot it a mile away. She didn't exactly know why, or even how, but she was drawn to him like an older sibling would, and they hit it off and it had been history since. Shiloh's done her best to help Eden, being a listening ear and just a generally good friend, in her own rough way of course. Always making sure the Academy bullies would leave him alone as she was more or less his personal guard dog. These two always had a rather interesting but plain relationship, entirely ignoring their one time drunken hookup, that the morning after they both agreed to never talk about it again, or even acknowledge it. Just that it shouldn't have happened, and felt weird in retrospect with how the two act in general.

Where to even begin with these two. When they aren't throwing snide comments at each other, bickering about anything under the sun, or joining Jupiter in their trio of pure chaos. Shiloh and Kai have been known to share surprisingly soft and tender moments together. Whether it's them having a serious and personal conversation while in their dorm rooms, or taking a walk around the campus grounds. Over the years, Shiloh has seen that they've shared more moments in life than anyone else, and it has only brought them closer together. Even when they first met as kids, Shiloh never judged Kai or bullied him like the others had. If anything, she was one of the few who came to his defense from those who called him names and tormented him. And over the years, it's only grown more so. As different as they are, in the end, Shiloh cares about Kai deeply, the only issue is, she knows things could never truly work between them. They're both severely damaged and hurt by the world, and she'd never want to do anything to hurt him, so she does what she can to make his life easier, with whatever time they have left in each other's life.

Nearly from day one, there had been an almost palpable energy that these two gave off when interacting with each other. People couldn't tell if they were friends who just had a dark and fucked up way of showing it, or if they were truly two people who hated every aspect about each other. From the quips and comments they both throw at each other, to the occasional lingering side eyes and looks thrown each other's way. For Shiloh, she's never met anyone that has ever annoyed the ever living hell out of her, the same way that Liza does. Just something about her gets Shiloh into a mindset of continuing to push and see how far she can go with the comments she tosses Liza's way, before things escalate and get a bit too..well, questionable. For Shiloh, they're some of the more entertaining moments of her day, but at the same time, they're also the most nerve wracking for her, and Shiloh can't exactly explain why that is.

Liza and Jupiter have been at the academy together since day one. Jupiter has never been a huge fan of Liza growing up as she always seemed so much better than her. Jupiter looked up to her and eventually began to challenge her. This was where Jupiter got her footing as a fire witch and eventually, the two became healthy rivals and good friends. Until Jupiter got really good and all of a sudden Liza ghosted her. This then turned into a series of them hating each other and well other things. Jupes can't help but have a small crush on the fire witch.

Otto and Jupiter have been friends since day one. They entered the academy at the same time and had a lot of classes together, but one thing was evident early on and that was that they both had large tempers to battle. The two of them sneak off to find things to smash, this would range from glasses, plates, and eventually, they upgraded to some watermelons or pumpkins depending on the season. They bitch about things to each other all the time and get all of their steam off. Eventually, though, they found there weren't always things readily available to smash but each other. So that ended up being one of their go to's. Otto is Jupiter's closest friend at the academy which is evident from the shoulder rides he gives her and the thrift store hauls they have.

"Things with Eden are just easy in a good way. I wouldn't trade it for the world."

Eden and Jupiter have a complicated but non complicated relationship. They have hooked up numerous times and although it has always been great, they have something a bit more meaningful than that. They enjoy each others company and make each other laugh. You can almost always see them together, but no one can tell what their relationship is. Jupiter and Eden haven't labelled it and haven't been interested in labelling at this moment. Eden makes Jupiter feel safe and he somehow calms down the fire that rages in her soul.

Shiloh and Jupiter have been roommates ever since Shiloh came to the academy. They weren't really friends at the start because Shiloh had hesitations and Jupiter didn't think many people liked her. Despite all odds, Jupiter and Shiloh did become friends and would stay up late talking about random things which eventually led to them wanting to sneak things in that they weren't supposed to have. When Jupiter had her incident in the academy basement it was after then that Shiloh and Jupe became even closer. They shit on each other and yell but it is always with love. One night they ended up sleeping together, but it was an emotional time after Tyson had passed.

Kai and Jupiter have a history, that's for sure. Kai was Jupiter's second rival in school, but he was the first challenge outside of the fire witches for her. He came in late and Jupiter figured he would be dull, but he was the opposite. The two had a healthy competitive nature, that naturally grew to a pain in her ass friendship, but then into him being her first. They dated for a bit until Jupiter needed to break it off for no distractions. They decided to remain friends, but their willpower is weak and from time to time they still hook up.

They’re not dating, but their relationship goes so much further than the occasional hook-up. But it’s one of the few things that Eden doesn’t feel the need to put into a box. All he knows and cares about is that things just feel right when they’re together. With Jupiter, things feel straight forward and safe.

A while back, they stumbled across the details of an old ritual, one involving some more... intimate steps. They joked about it, but eventually, their curiosity won out. And hey, it worked, and both enjoyed it. Ever since they’ve been known to perform the ritual from time to time.

Eden and Shiloh seemed to click almost immediately on their first meeting, and they quickly grew to become inseparable. The two of them really seemed to understand each other, more than anyone else they knew. After Eden lost his mom and his sister, and Shiloh lost Tyson, that understanding only seemed to deepen. There was one incident a while back that they have collectively decided never to mention again, when the two of them were exceptionally drunk, but it has never gotten in the way of their friendship.

It's no surprise people think they're already dating; they're just as physically affectionate as they were before the kiss. But now, it feels like there's something more in every touch, and Eden is conflicted.

The whole scenario left him with a nasty taste in his mouth. In his head, he knows that it just happened at a bad time for him, and that he probably should have seen the signs it was nothing more than casual, but something about it stung.

it started with two kids who needed to work out their tempers; throwing rocks, ripping up papers, breaking things, tossing pumpkins off a roof and barely missing one of Jupiter's family members. Normal kid stuff. As they got older, they started buying ridiculous amounts of dinner wear from thrift shops to smash, then they started just shopping there together. the sex is great, too. Perfect way to let off some steam when there's nothing to destroy, or when that just isn't cutting it.

There's really nothing that forces the two of them to open up when they're together. Otto also doesn't appreciate the rude awakenings. They'd not sure if it's some sort of weird flirtation or something, but it makes him angry.

There's nothing overly complex about it: sex is normal, natural, and they don't want to talk about it. It's an escape for Kai that Otto is more than happy to provide, and they both treat it like it's just a normal favor from a friend. No emotions to entangle, no discussing it with the others. It's just a thing they do.

Othello kept coming back, Liza kept coming back, and eventually they had developed a sort of tenderness towards one another. Away from prying eyes, their relationship is almost romantic. Yelizaveta pours affections over Othello, and they stand under the shower, bending to lap up every last drop of her love, begging at her feet like a lonely dog. It's pathetic, but Othello truly and genuinely adores every part of her. He pretends to be content with what they have as he rings every drop of her attentions out of his heart between their rendezvous. And they they'll meet again, and they'll pour all of themself out for her and let her fill his heart again.

More than anything, Malachai is drawn to Jupiter like a moth to a flame. She was one of the few people to pull him from his troubled past. She took up each broken piece of him and reassembled it. He understood that being around her fuelled his desire for her. However, he desired nothing more than to be surrounded by the beauty that was Jupter Bradbury. Malachai craved her and saw her for who she was. While others viewed her as your red-headed, know-it-all, Malachai saw her as a stunningly, brilliant woman with a bright spark. She didn't need someone to extinguish the spark, only to rekindle it. They have a history that extends beyond their days at The Academy. Water and fire; two adversaries who become lovers in the blink of an eye. They dated for a short time before deciding to remain friends. Malachai has been focusing on his emotions since they split up, attempting to fill the emptiness she left behind. She was his first love, and he fell hard for her. He still has a soft spot for Jupiter, which is frequently put to the test on rare occasions. Truth be told, he's not quite ready to close their chapter.

This was a false statement. Othello and Malachai did more than just "study" in secret. Having Othello around was incredibly pleasurable for Malachai. Their rules were basic and strict: no emotions, and no nonsense, which was enough to offer Kai with an escape to release. Consider it as a friend aiding a friend. What transpired behind closed bedroom doors was never to be discussed with the others.

The dynamic duo has had a plethora of bicurious hookups in the past and is comfortable enough to laugh about it. People believe they are dating, and they very well could be.

However, he couldn't deny that he was beginning to see Shiloh in a new light, causing his heart to race whenever he was in her presence. She excited him and gave him a sense of vitality. She challenged him and gave him a purpose that Malachai had never experienced before with anyone else. They share a bond through profound late-night conversations that last for hours. Malachai was completely intrigued by their chats. It was different with Shiloh. She listened to him, and the connection they have is genuine. Malachai saw Shiloh for who she truly was; beneath the tough facade was a girl who had worn a thousand masks to save her own. They were broken souls who complemented one another.

Yelizaveta and Malachai are merely friends with benefits. Despite the fact that she's as beautiful as the human eye can see, they both agreed a long time ago that they would not allow emotions get in the way of their sexual encounters. Malachai brings Yelizaveta along on his escapades including late-night parties and alcoholic beverages. They have had sex once and can't seem to get their hands off of each other. Perhaps it's the alcohol, but whatever it is, this couple is a jumbled mess that keeps Malachai thoroughly entertained with each sloppy, drunken kiss they exchange.
