Blackbird and I spent an entire day in PMs working on this. It is basically the story that many people believe Valcrest and enlightenment's have been created. As a little disclaimer, one of the rules of the RP is that these Gods are not to be used as characters, but just there to give your characters a system of belief. Interpret it as you will. I know I have.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There were two great beings in the beginning. One was male and the other female. Today we simply call them Mother and Father. Mother and Father created the land of Valcrest and all the living creatures that lived in it; including the humans. Soon after their creation, the humans began to doubt the existence of Mother and Father. The two wondered how they could prove their existence. They decided that the best way to prove it to the humans was to send down their children to the earth. Each time, they had twins and they brought them down two at a time until all fourteen of them had come down to join the humans on Valcrest.
The first two children they had were Moon and Sun. Moon was given the power of shadow manipulation and Sun was given the power to manipulate light. The both of them also gave gifts to both Valcrest and the humans. They gave the world light and darkness. To the humans, Sun gave them day, so they could see while they worked and Moon gave humans night so they could rest after a long day.
The next two children were Fire and Water. Fire was given the power to manipulate fire and Water was given the power to manipulate water. They also gave gifts to Valcrest and the humans. They gave the world fire and water and the seasons of summer and winter. To the humans, Fire gave them heat to keep warm and Water gave them mountain water to keep the river fresh.
The third pair of children that came to the earth were Earth and Air. Earth was given the power of earth manipulation. Air had the power of air manipulation. They as well gave gifts. To Valcrest, they gave the gifts of dirt, rocks, sky and wind. They also gave them the seasons of spring and fall. To the humans, Earth gave hard stones to build walls with and Air gave them cold to refresh people from heat.
The fourth set of children were Life and Death. Life had the ability to live forever. Death had the ability to kill who he touched. When they first came to the world, they didn’t want to give anyone any gift. They were both very greedy. Even after their brothers and sisters tried to convince them to give gifts like the rest had done, they refused. One day, one of the humans went up to death and ask them why they wouldn’t give the humans a gift like the others had. Death told the human that she wouldn’t give them a gift because they wouldn’t like it. When the human continued to bother Death, she finally gave humans a gift. It was the gift of death. The human asked Death why she gave the human race such a terrible gift and Death had told the human that they got what they deserved for pestering the divine. When the humans went to Life to ask him to give humans something to save them from the terrible gift of death. Life didn’t want to give them his gift to live forever though. He wanted to be the only one who had that ability.
The fifth pair to come to Valcrest was Mind and Heart. Mind hath the ability of telekinesis and telepathy. Heart had the ability of empathy. Sadly Mind and Heart couldn’t think of anything they could give to Valcrest, so they only gave things to the humans. Heart gave them emotion so they could feel and Mind gave them reason so they didn’t act purely on emotion.
The sixth of the seven pairs was Space and Time. Space had the ability of teleportation and Time was given the ability of time travel. Again, they didn’t have anything to give the earth, so they gave humans something again. Space had given them the concept of a mile so they would know the limits of Valcrest. Time gave them the concept of a minute to keep track of time and a month to keep track of the seasons.
The final set of twins to come to Valcrest was War and Peace. War had the ability of rage. Peace had the ability of healing. They gave humans two things each. War gave them weapons to protect themselves and the will to protect their existence. Peace gave them the knowledge of when to use weapons and the wisdom to respect the existence of others.
Mother and Father gave their fourteen children one instruction while they were down there. They were not allowed to bare a child with any of the humans on the earth. If they wanted to have children, they had to bare one with on of their brothers and sisters. As long as they followed this one rule, they would come back to life after every time they died.
The fourteen brothers and sisters all parted ways quickly. They all grew attached to different parts of the land and they found places to seek refuge. Many humans came to these areas and settled around them in order to worship. From this the cities were born:
The first city to come to be was Newhaven. This was considered the most sacred of all the cities since Sun and Moon lived there and they were the first two born to Valcrest. The people to live with these two thought very highly of themselves, but were also able to prove that they were a strong force.
The second city was Blackpond. War was the one who lived in this city. The people who lived with him were given the never ending will to survive, fight and defend themselves, no matter how far behind they were.
Blackhurst was where Peace had settled. The meadows was a nice place where no one seemed to bother anyone. Peace liked this. The people who lived in this city had a lack of will to get involved in pointless conflict, and their devotion to obtain more wisdom. Sadly, it was the first to be lost to the war.
Brightvale was where Fire and Wind decided to settle. In the desert where things were tough and extreme. The people who lived here obtained their fierceness to survive the heat and dryness of the desert and their wild nature, as well as their will to constantly travel from one place to another.
Water and Earth decided to go all the way to the mountains at the limits of Valcrest to settle down. They called the city Effort. This was where most of the rocks and snow that kept the river fresh was. The people of Effort were always the more rough, and attached to their land. They were also the more calm and level headed, only moving into war when there was a real necessity.
The forest was where Mind and Heart decided to live. The forest people, despite their wild nature, were always the most reasonable in Valcrest, but at the same time, the most passionate ones. They chose to get involved in the matters of the cities as little as possible, at the same time as they craved change, which led them to always have their better judgement struggle against their passion to bring some relief into the Land. Their impulsiveness most of times winning the battle and leading their actions.
Time and Space really lived nowhere. They just traveled around and never really settled. Because of this, they weren’t really worshiped by anyone. They had no devout followers, but they didn’t care. They believed that it wasn’t important to have followers. They were only on the earth to prove the existence of a greater power.
Because of the bitter feelings that Life and Death had, no one really knew where they were. No one cared to know where they were either. They lived somewhere, leaving the world to think that they had left Valcrest completely and moved back up to the Devine Afterlife to live with Mother and Father. When war broke out in the land of Valcrest, they appeared again to see what was going on.
Because of this war in Valcrest, the fourteen siblings helped the humans out with their powers. Slowly though, their powers began to diminish, they didn’t understand why. So the fourteen got together to figure It out. When they came together Mother and Father descended from the Divine Afterlife to help fix the problem. Mother and father created a tree made of stone. Within this tree, there was a fountain. The fountain didn’t have any water in it, instead there was energy. Mother and Father called the energy Enlightenment and gave it to the siblings so that they would never lose their powers. After that, their powers only became stronger.
Life was jealous of his brothers and sisters. They were given stronger powers while he was left with the same old power. He could live forever, it couldn’t get more powerful than that. He became even more jealous when he started to see his brothers and sisters dying and then just coming right back to life. They could live forever too. He felt useless. Life plotted his revenge to get back at them for this.
Life found a beautiful woman named Terra. She was the most beautiful lady in Valcrest and every man wanted her to be his wife. Terra had finally found a soul mate in a man from Blackhurst named Duncan. He was considered one of the most handsome men in Valcrest. Life challenged Duncan to a duel to win the heart of Terra, and Duncan accepted. He was arrogant and thought that he could kill the immortal and win his love. He proved himself wrong and died by the Life’s blade. Life won the heart of Terra and they married and had children.
When Terra gave birth to Life’s child, Life wanted to see if the child was Divine. He tried to drown it with water but failed. He tried to burn it with fire, but failed. Finally he tried to stab it with a blade, but this failed too. His child was given the same ability as Life had. He could regenerate his ageless body. He could live forever.
When Mother and Father found out that Life had a child with a human they were furious. As punishment, they took away all the siblings’ ability to live forever. Now, when they died, they would die for good. To take away Life’s power wouldn’t be fair though, so instead they let him keep his power, but now he would age. Every time he died, he would come back to life one year older than the time before. He would eventually die for good and join the rest of his brothers and sisters in the Divine Afterlife with Mother and Father.
The siblings became mad at Life and Mother and Father. As a way to get back at them, they began to have children with as many humans as possible before dying. All of their children possessed the same powers as they did from birth. These children gave birth to their own children, but they didn’t have the same enlightened power until they were twelve and they were a lot weaker than their parents.
The only one that didn’t have children was the child of Life and Death themselves. He lived a regular life for as long as possible, but he quickly became detached as people around him started dying and he still lived an ageless life. He became very isolated and left the general population so he would never have to face death again.
“I have wrestled with death. It is the most unexciting contest you can imagine. It takes place in an impalpable greyness, with nothing underfoot, with nothing around, without spectators, without clamour, without glory, without the great desire of victory, without the great fear of defeat, in a sickly atmosphere of tepid scepticism, without much belief in your own right, and still less in that of your adversary.”
― Joseph Conrad
The Legend of Sun and the Seasons
Sun and Moon are the only two Gods on Valcrest. The two of them are happy with each other and enjoy the company of one another while they helped keep the balance of light and darkness into the world. Night was shorter than day because Moon enjoyed her rest more than Sun. Sun didn’t really mind that he had more work to do. The humans seemed to enjoy the light more anyways.
Things quickly changed however when the next pair of siblings came onto the earth. Fire and Water had given the people the season’s Winter and Summer. While Sun enjoyed the Summer, he wasn’t particularly fond of the Winter. He couldn’t stand the Winter and so he decided that he would only come out for shorter periods of time, making nights longer. Moon wasn’t happy and neither were the humans. They wanted it to be lighter and Moon wanted her rest, but Sun refused to work as hard as long as it was cold. For the next couple of years this went on. There was practically no light for half of the year whiles the other half, there was tons of it.
Then one day, another pair of twins came to the land of Valcrest: Earth and Wind. At first, they were unsure of what to give the humans as their gift. The humans begged them to give them a transition period between the two seasons so that Sun would come out more often. And so the transitional seasons of Autumn and Spring were born.
Because of this compromise, Sun decided that as the days grew colder during the Autumn, he would gradually work less, but when it got gradually warmer over the Spring, he would gradually work more. This was the reason why the Sun would become less present during the Winter and more during the Summer.
Credit for this one goes to Blackbird. All I did was check over it and post it here.
Origins of Music
Heart and Mind were the fifth pair of Twins to arrive in Valcrest. As soon as they arrived, Heart was amazed by the Land and its beauty. She found it all so perfect that she felt there was nothing she would change or improve, thus, she decided she would give something to the humans; something that would allow them to appreciate the beauty of the world and of the people around them much better, she gave them the gift of emotions.
Now, at first, the humans weren’t all too pleased with Heart’s gift. Emotions were complicated, they were impossible to control, and even after Mind gave the humans reason, emotions seemed to often overcome it. As a result, a group of humans decided to go to the Goddess and beg her to take the gift away. They didn’t want to have their actions controlled by emotions anymore, most of all: They didn’t want to feel pain anymore.
Heart listened patiently to the complaints of the humans, and then told them to follow her into the forest. The humans didn’t understand, but complied and followed Heart to the depths of the forest, to its darker and quieter corner. Once there, Heart said that she would not take the emotions away, but she would give them another gift; something that would allow them to feel happy any time they wanted. She then asked them to close their eyes and be silent.
Intrigued with the offer, the humans did as they were told and closed their eyes. After a moment or two a sound filled their ears; a sound like nothing they had had heard before. As they listened to it, they felt their troubles fade and their hearts fill with joy.
Heart then told the humans that this was music, and that music was something that could be created at will by their own hands, at any moment and it would always bring them comfort. Ever since that day, wherever there were humans in Valcrest, there was also music.
Many thanks to Trickster, Seerow and Tyce for the ideas behind this story.
The Creation of the Newhaven Knights
There are no official records of the creation of the Order of the White Knights, and there aren’t any official records that even indicate the existence of the Order of the Black Knights, although it is common knowledge that it does exist. However, much like almost everything in Valcrest, there is a myth about it. Some actually believe it to be true, while others simply find it entertaining to pretend that it is. Either way, nowadays it is the only known story of how the Knights came to be.
After Mother and Father punished the Twins by taking away their immortality, Sun and Moon became preoccupied for the humans who lived in Newhaven. They didn’t think they were prepared enough to maintain the city without them. For that reason they decided that they would leave their children behind to keep the city in peace.
As their eldest children reached adulthood, Sun’s first son was proclaimed the first Kings of Newhaven, and Moon’s first daughter the Queen. For years, even after the Twins had left Valcrest for good, Newhaven prospered.
However, as the Twins left the land, the war escalated more and more. Once it became clear that city needed to be protected further, the King and Queen decided they needed to form a proper army, more importantly; they needed people to command said army. The problem was that the King and the Queen had different views on how the situation should be handled. After a lot of discussion they finally decided on how they would proceed: They each hand-picked five human warriors and, over the course of five years, had them trained to the very best of their abilities.
Once trained, the five warriors chosen by the King received light silver armor, and shields that held the golden symbol of the Sun. They were sworn to an oath: To protect and maintain order amongst the people of Newhaven, to serve the Royal family and uphold the law above all else.
The five warriors chosen by the Queen were given Black armor and shields, as well as dark helms to conceal their faces; the darkness of their figures only broken by the dark silver crescent on their shields. They were also sworn to an oath: Surrender their body and souls to Newhaven; and protect the city from any harm, at any cost.
From that moment on the White Knights became the front of the ever-growing army of Newhaven, and the Black Knights their silent shadows.
"Real power comes not from hate, but from truth."
Re: [OOC] Religion
Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Mr_Doomed on Mon Mar 12, 2012 11:51 am
A lot of thanks goes to Blackbird and Trickster who both helped me out with some of the smaller details of the story. They gave me a few ideas of things that the sons and daughters could do.
This story here is a really good one with a lot of effort going into making everything right. I hope you guys like it.
Horrors of the Children and Hell
In the time that the Twins were on Valcrest, there were so many gifts that were given to humans. Each gift was something that was intended to balance another gift out. War’s gift balanced Peace’s git out as well as Heart’s and Mind’s gifts. One gift however was given without a definite balance. This gift created a divide between humans and the enlightened.
This divide came from the first sons and daughters of the Twins. Each twin had either a son or daughter with a human, leaving them with human babies that had powers similar to those of the Twins. These children were given the gift of enlightenment. Not only did they have this enlightenment though, but they also had all of the qualities of humans and even more, a sense of confusion. They couldn’t handle complete enlightenment as they were forced to understand. It was too much for anyone could handle. Enlightenment was something that even the Twins had to re-evaluate every once in a while.
With so much power, these first children had a hard time coping. To know so much wasn’t something that any of them could take. One by one, the effects of these enlightened children could be seen.
It all started with the daughter of War. She believed that winning a war was at any cost. She didn’t care how big the death toll was or how badly her people would be effected. She tortured slayed and made public mockeries of those who would defy her. She even went as far as killing doctors and healers who failed her too many times in attempting to save potential soldiers. No one wanted to cross her because doing so would inevitably lead to death, so these practices of war raged on.
The next one to begin acting terribly to the people around her was Mind’s daughter. She believed that the smarter people deserved more and she used her intellect to do so. She used her powers of the mind to persuade people into giving them money, houses, food and any other possessions. She could even convince people to give up their children as her personal slaves with just her words. These people would get nothing in return. She tricked people out of their livelihood and ruined many lives along the way.
Next came the Son of Fire. A savage man who believed things only worked one way. That way was his way. Anyone who would stand in his way of achieving his beliefs or who wouldn’t believe what he believed would be tied to a pole and burned alive. To him, it was cleansing Valcrest of those who would get in the way of perfection.
Air’s Son was the next to show his true colours to Valcrest and its people. He created terrible storms, the likes of which people had never seen before. He wanted only the strongest of people in Valcrest. They were the ones who would most deserve to bear his children as he believed that he would carry on his enlightenment to his children. With these storms, he would kill the weak and the strong would prevail. These would be the best fitted for having his children.
To emerge from the shadows next was Moon’s daughter. She would use his enlightenment to become a master thief. She would make things so dark that only she and her parent would be able to see and then she would steal things. Sometimes she would steal things that she didn’t even, but just wanted. No matter who she met, she would have to steal from them.
Space’s son was no better. He, like Moon’s daughter, wanted everything. He didn’t want anything material, but rather wanted as much space as possible. He would physically force people out of their homes and land, hoarding as much space as possible just so he could have it. It didn’t matter who it was, if he wanted the person’s space, he would have it for his own.
Again, another came to begin to act terribly to humans. The daughter of Time’s enlightenment allowed her to steal time from people. She felt entitled to the time and if she believed that people didn’t deserve it, she would take the time from people. Taking the time would cause the people she took it from to live shorter lives. She was never happy and took a lot of time from people during her life.
Earth’s son didn’t like how people would treat his ground like nothing. People would dig up dirt and just throw it aside, not even thinking about how much effort had gone into creating the earth for them. Valcrest would not be the same without the earth and he wanted to show people just how important the earth was. He would burry people alive who would disrespect him or his father. Putting them under the ground showed the human what they were really disrespecting.
Out of all of the sons and daughters of the twins, there was one who really didn’t seem to have any reason at all for doing what they did. Peace’s son would drive people into madness. He would find someone who was weak and just drive them insane. After doing that, he would let them run around Valcrest and do terrible things themselves.
To come to the light next would be Sun’s Daughter. People seemed to think it was fair to take advantage of Sun by using the light to grow crops and make money. She didn’t like to see that happening. She didn’t like seeing people take advantage like that. She decided that the best way to deal with people like that was by withering the crops away. She wouldn’t even leave enough crops for the people planting them to survive on. She just wanted to see these people be punished. She didn’t think that they deserved anything.
Heart’s daughter was lovely young lady. She wasn’t as beautiful as the Wife of Life, Terra, but she was still a very attractive person. With that and her enlightenment, she would make people fall for her, head over heels. With that, she would be able to make men do her bidding. She would do anything and everything if it meant that the men around her would do her bidding. She was a truly wicked woman.
Water’s daughter was the next to do something horrific. She held herself up in the river, holding all the water to herself. She kept all the water to herself, only giving some to the people would give her something in return. For some reason, this made the Twins nervous, despite the fact that they didn’t need as much water as the humans did.
Finally, there was Death’s Son. He didn’t like how Life was able to live for so long and get away with it. He wanted to be able to live as long as Life would and even longer. Death honed his enlightenment until he was able to do something that not even Death herself had thought about doing. He found a way in which he could kill humans and use their bodies as a vessel that they could live in. These humans that he killed would not be entirely dead. Their minds and body would still exist and would have control until Death’s son decided to take control himself. Some would call Death’s son’s body beast-like when he would finally take control of the bodies.
The sibling of the Twins that seemed to have a good side was Life’s Son. He hated seeing all this terror upon the humans that was being caused by his cousins and he swore to stop them the only way he knew how. One by one, he killed his cousins. People no longer suffered from the war crimes committed; people whose things had been take, whether it is space, or possessions, or water, all of it was returned; those who were being brought to insanity were no longer that way; there were no more storms; the crops grew; the killings stopped. Everything was good.
The only one who was left was Death, who seemed to be able to defy his mother’s own creation by jumping from vessel to vessel. No matter what Life’s son tried to do, he wasn’t able to stop it. The two would get into epic battles, but neither would ever come out as victor as they both knew ways to cheat death. Hundreds of years passed as each tried to find ways to stop the other from achieving their apposing goals. Eventually, one came out victorious.
It was said that Death had found out how to transfer enlightenment and created a device that did something incredible to Life’s son. People who watched the battle unfold weren’t sure what happened, but all they knew was when Death’s son cut into Life’s son, Life’s son died and Death had become even stronger. No one is really sure what happened. All they saw was a big flash of light and both Death’s son and Life’s son seemed to have disappeared before their eyes. Death’s son would one day return and continue with his killings, but Life’s son never returned.
When all of the Twins’ children came to the Divine Heaven, Mother and Father would not let them in. Their crimes against humanity were too terrible for them to be allowed to live in such a peaceful and wonderful world. They created another place, which they called Hell where the children would be sent to suffer for the rest of eternity or until they finally ‘understood’. The only one that Mother and Father let into the Divine Heaven at his death was Life’s son.
Some say that they never came to understand while others believe that they did one day understand and were eventually welcomed into the Divine Heaven. No one can ever know. Those humans to come after the first children of the Twins who committed crimes similar or just as terrible as the children committed also cannot be sent to the Divine Heaven before they themselves ‘understand’. Until then, they are sent to suffer in Hell.
Re: Religion
Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Mr_Doomed on Tue Apr 10, 2012 11:07 pm
Now, if things weren't already confusing enough when it came to Religion (I'm personally not sure how confusing it it), this will be sure to confuse you a little more. At this point, I want to mention one of the reasons why "divine intervention" is not allowed. Not everything I write here is true. Actually, in the case of this story, there are inconsistencies (that I wrote on purpose) with other stories that have been told before. To be honest, I'm not sure how much of these stories are true and how much is just a flat out lie.
For example, I've debated on whether Mother and Father are actual beings or if they are more or less like an AUM (What Hindu's believe to be the sound of the creation of the universe) of sorts that is separated into a mother and father figure to make the idea of this "AUM" more relatable. I'm actually not sure about which is true.
So what I'm trying to say is keep in mind that these are religious stories and ideas in it can be brought up for debate (even if it is just discussing things in your own mind). Also remember that since these stories are mostly passed down by speaking it (there are probably a few cases where they have been written in a solid document) so things in these stories may have been changed. That's enough of me rambling... enjoy!
Terra
Not many give any heed to Terra and her involvement in giving enlightenment to the humans. She herself is only human, or so most believes. There are a select few however that seem to believe that she herself is a god much like the rest of the Twins; given to Valcrest by Mother and Father themselves. These people for the most part are outcasts, living in the most remote places in tiny cults. Because they are casted out from most societal circles, the story of Terra is barely ever told to the average citizen of Valcrest as it isn’t widely accepted.
~~~~~

Mother and Father didn’t like the way that the Twins had gotten themselves involved into the human’s lives. The different conflicts between every human weren’t something that Mother and Father liked seeing them get involved in. The Twins were sent to Valcrest to give guidance to the people and nothing more. They didn’t physically involve themselves and never use their enlightenments to the human’s benefit. It just happened way to often so Mother and Father finally had enough.
They decided that the only way to stop the Twins from ever being involved was to make them break the rule that had been told to them when they were sent to Valcrest. They were not to have any children with anyone but another Twin*. This rule was the only way to properly remove the Twins from Valcrest without creating imbalance to what had already been created. The only way that they would ever be able to make them break the rule, which the Twins were so vigilant to keep true to was to create a being that would be irresistible to even a god.
Mother and Father conceived another child. She was one being far different than any that had come before her. She didn’t have a twin, nor did she appear to be like a god. She didn’t carry with her any of the distinct features of any of her other brothers or sisters. The only thing that was special to her was her red hair, which no other human or god in Valcrest possessed. With no other real distinction, she looked like any of the other humans. She was even given a human name: Terra and she was made almost completely irresistible to the eye of any man. She was made to be sought after by anyone who saw her. The most desirable of people whose name would quickly travel, even to the most remote of places in Valcrest.
Emerging from the waters she came into the land. The wolves were the first to see her arrival. From there she traveled across from city to city with a mission. She was to find the most stunningly handsome of men in Valcrest. Only he was fit to have a child with Terra. She went to every city, thrice before she could find the right suitor. By this point the word had reached even the deepest crevices of the most beautiful of woman looking for a man. Duels were fought and many died, but not even a duel could settle it as she found a man more handsome than them all. Duncan, a fair noble man from Blackhurst found his way to Terra on the day of her third visit to the city. Not only was this man a handsome one, but he was also had great integrity and honor. He was the true gentleman’s man.
When the word finally got to the Twins, they were relentless to find her, but neither Duncan nor Terra wanted to be found. The two hid themselves in Blackhurst in places they believed that not even the Gods could find. For Terra, a war erupted between all of the Twins and Valcrest was torn apart as they searched.
Eventually, the most sinister found them. Greedy Life had searched Blackhurst for days looking for her. He was the only of the Twins clever enough to avoid the war between the Twins and instead slither past unscathed.
With the rest of the Twins out battling each other and the only thing in his way being the noble Duncan, Life concocted a dastardly plan to win the love of Terra. Life challenged Duncan to a duel. The winner would receive the love of the desired Terra. Duncan, unaware that the man who challenged him wasn’t a man at all accepted the challenge out of honor.
Duncan was the better dueler, but every cut of the blade that he made on Life was quickly recovered as Life could never die. Even when Duncan took the stab right to Life’s heart, Life simply smiled and stabbed Duncan back, leaving Terra’s suitor dead on the sandstone floor.
Terra abided by the rule however. She didn’t complain or even mourn as she hadn’t been created to truly love anyone. She held onto whoever was best fitted and because Life won the battle, he stole away human’s chance of gaining the powers of enlightenment strait from the source. Her giving abilities would have to be done through Life.
Not much more than a year later, Terra had her first and only child. Mother and Father got what they wanted and the Twins planted their enlightened seed amongst the humans. In the meantime as the chaos of the Twins’ loss of power over Valcrest occurred, Life and Terra raised their son.
When her son was old enough to take care of himself, Terra, still with the same immense beauty as she did so many years ago decided that she had enough of what Valcrest had to offer. She wanted to see new lands. She headed South to what is now a land called Terra. Many humans who praised her like a god for giving them the enlightenment followed her into those lands, but after passing the mountains all enlightenments seemed to stop working. When they realised they couldn’t use their enlightenment anymore, some of them left her, while others stayed with her to colonise the new land of Terra.
It is believed that Terra never had another child. She lived the rest of her life dedicated to the man she had a child with, even if he was an evil man. Although she never saw the man again, she kept true to the arrangement made out on the day of that duel.

*Now there is speculation to how exactly this rule worked. Some would say that the rule was specifically “You shall not have a child with a human”, but others say that it was. “You shall not have a child with anyone other than a Twin (In this case, Twin meaning one of the twin children of Mother and Father)”. Those who believe the first can in no way believe that this story is true without contradicting themselves.

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Mr_Doomed on Sun Aug 11, 2013 9:30 pm

After a long day of searching through images, I picked out the images of the twins. Some of them aren't perfect, but since I can't draw, it is the best you are going to get. These are the closest images to what I imagine for most of them.

Here's a link to an image I found for them that I kinda liked, but decided not to use.

DEATH

Here's a link to an image I imagine being placed on a tapestry (in more of a tapestry form) depicting the dance between Life and Death. It is interesting to me because Life and Death sorta switch color schemes in it. Also, I imagine death with blonde hair instead of black.

I tried to avoid Aphrodite and so this is what I came up with (I imagined her in a dress that looks like a rose, but couldn't find a woman without red hair for this... and none of the gods had red hair, this is a fact).
