This is the NPC Characters Appendix, writers/participants are free to post up NPC lists or NPC individuals. Individuals will need an image and a brief bio including their age, and place of birth. More info to be added soon.
Like a stranger on a grate, or a skylark, or a taper, flying ever upward and knowing of love's satiety. Our dreams beyond the Sun and into the expanse of Night doth sound a quiet hymn.

We help the multi-nationals
when they cry out protect us.
The locals scream and shout a bit,
but we don’t let that affect us.
We’re here to lend a helping hand
in case they don’t elect us.
How dare they buy our products
yet still they don’t respect us.

Yeah, thanks very much. The first time was my trial run. I want to make this a bit smoother. I feel like a carpenter, and good luck to that.

NPC's in Chapter One
definitions will be provided if available and known

Petty Officer Shaun Hansen - A bridge officer
Scottish. Primarily communications.

Lieutenant JG Francis Napier - A bridge officer
"Napier was of mix descent, a majority of which was French, a recent graduate of the Naval Academy. He did not have a distinguished academic career during his time in the Academy, and was sent to serve on a small frigate. After two years time, he requested for a re-assignment, where the Department of the Navy reassigned him to the Salient, against his wishes. He wasn't exactly enthusiastic to be dragged to the far reaches of known space for obscure reasons. However, following the small victory enjoyed by the Salient over the pirates, he felt a bit of pride and excitement."

Courtney "Rich Girl" Reynolds - Now an official character played by Rulke
Rich girl stowed away on the Salient and signaled the Pirate Nation to attack, then was captured by Atomsk Dunaway

Private First Class Gary Reynolds - A marine, deployed on Bravo Team and returned safely to the Salient. Courtney "Rich Girl" Reynolds' brother

Lance Corporal Shane Weifert - A marine, deployed on Bravo Team and returned safely to the Salient

Corporal Frank Grahams - A marine, currently MIA after Alpha Team's sortie

Private Quinn O'Neil - A marine, currently MIA after Alpha Team's sortie

Victor Keschek - Director of the Hangar Control Center on the F.S.S. Salient
"a gruff looking man with a grizzled chin, probably in his forties... He was the control director, Victor Keschek, and he had known Eli from the start of the trip, as he was one of the first crew members aboard alongside the Admiral."

Atreus "Silver Eyes" Eturrer - The leader of the newly established pirate nation

Lindsay "Nova" Gowler - Silver Eyes' First Mate

T.A.U.- Tactical Assistance Unit. An AI formerly played by Gazimu, but in his absence turned to an NPC. The Tactical Assistance Unit was created to assist in all forms of combat. He was kept a secret from the crew of the Salient with the exception of Admiral Weston in an effort to keep the true, combat-natured, mission of the ship secret.

Name: Lindsay Gowler

Alias: Nova

Birth Place:
Michigan

Appearance:
Image

Personality:
Lindsay is loyal and honest first mate, he respects the Captain wishes and doesn't often question him, although he does secretly believe right now that Silver Eyes is throwing too much away for Courtney -- it doesn't help matters that he never ever liked her, at all.

Not able to be bought or sold, he joined with the Pirate's as his father well renowned scientist went missing and was seen in Federation territory. Although when he asked for them to help him, since his Dad was so well respected and was something of intellectual. Each time he tried to get someone, all he got was slammed doors and excuses about man power and not good use of time or money, it was that day he learnt The Federation has no regard for anyone except the higher ups.

NPC: Kelin Shade - Federation Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel aboard the F.S.S. Salient, commanding officer of the 42nd Marine Battalion

Description: Shade despite his higher standing in the chain of command, treats his men with respect and dignity. He values the lives under his command, but when faced with a tough decision, Shade makes the decision that is needed to win the day. He follows his orders dutifully directly from both Commander Atomsk and Admiral Weston. He was trained at the Federation Academy of Military Science, following his graduation he was offered commission as a lieutenant. From there he later climbed the ranks to become a Lieutenant Colonel and many regarded him as an officer with a long career ahead of him. He currently serves aboard the F.S.S. Salient, and is one of the few experienced officers aboard.

Appearance:

Role:
White Crow is a powerful man with many connections, mainly with The Federation. He is a frequent employer of Nomad.

Bio:
Not much is known about this mysterious figure, except that he is wealthy and has a foothold into stopping less-than-desirable people. Most would say that he's on the good side, since he swings towards The Federation but his true intentions (and his true identity) is unknown.

NPC: Michel Fontaine (Mi-kel Fon-tayne) - Federation Navy Vice Admiral and a director of Joint Special Operations Command

Description: Like all Federation Admirals, Fontaine has to present the face of stability which is the Federation, holding duty above all else. Both servicemen and Marines alike look up to him as the leadership for Earth and its colonies' defenders. Nonetheless, Fontaine is not generally known as a "by the book" type of Admiral. Even during his days as a younger officer, he took risks and made gambles, often times saving the day. Though reprimanded by his superiors for such behavior, high command knew that they needed men like Fontaine to maintain a defense against the enemies of the Federation. Despite his reckless nature, Fontaine has always maintained an aura of calm even in the face of danger, which only adds to his eccentric nature as he gives almost suicidal commands in a calm voice. He rose through the ranks rather slowly, but it was his dedication that got him to where he is now as a director of Joint Special Operations Command. He will be overseeing the operational capacity of the three stealth frigates.

NPC: Victalt Chambers (Vic-tall-t Chambers) - Prime Minister of the Federation, head of the Conglomeration Party.

Description: The current Prime Minister of the Federation, as well as head of the Conglomeration Party. Chambers is known for his policies in favor of corporations. However, the economic downturn in recent years has turned public opinion against Chambers and Conglomeration party, for their lack of action to support the Outer Rim colonies struggling against these economic upheavals.

Dr. Arthur McNare- The Lord of Liberty's head of Research and Development.

Arthur McNare was a prodigy- He skipped most of school and earned doctoral degrees in Computer Engineering, Physics, and AI Theory by age fifteen. The Federation picked him out for some jobs in research, and he signed on happily. He fit in well working with machines. But as time went on, he was given harder, more exclusive jobs... And he saw what they were used for. McNare lost his taste for the Federation, but he was too far deep into their works to leave with his body in one piece. He searched avidly for a way out and began to do his own research independent of the Federation's assignments. Eventually he found a budding revolutionary by the alias of "Lord Liberty". He signed on, and the Lord of Liberty faked his death and took him in.

Leslie Montgomery
Commander of all Federation forces stationed on New Sidney

Leslie was just a captain when the attacks by insurgents began to escalate drastically. He did his job decently, and was slowly but surely progressing in rank. In his career, he probably never would have made it where he is now, if not for the fact that the Lord of Liberty killed all of the high ranking officials during his major raid on the capital. When Federation forces fell into chaos, whoever could lead ended up becoming a leader. Leslie has decent skill, enough to put him where he is now, but his decent skill comes with a proportional amount of flaw. He is young, hotheaded, and he is out to prove himself. The most important thing to young Leslie is not that the Insurgency be crushed, it is that he reap all the glory for doing it in any way he can. He strives to be powerful and feared. As such, any mention of his first name instead of "Commander Montgomery" is met with harsh retribution.

NPC: Cantor Nadd - Merchant (Black Market Smuggler)/Mercenary

Description: Nadd is well known, but only in the underworld, as a black market arms smuggler. He has managed to build up a fortune as a broker between large weapons manufacturers and militant groups. These groups range anywhere from pirates, all the way to insurgent cells themselves. Nadd is in it for the money, but he needs that money not for money's sake, but to build himself an escape from the world that is around him. As a mercenary, he's a fairly decent fighter, if not capable, using anything available to flay, maim, or headshot enemies who threaten his empire, his trade lanes, or his life. Nadd has built many contacts as he built up his smuggling empire, and as a result, he is rising in the Federation's Most Wanted list. Nadd operates mainly from his base on Trangelis, more specifically Syntere's underworld.

Ginto Tetsumodo
AKA
The Sand Snake, The Knife of Liberty

The Sand Snake is one of Libertas Mundi's high ranking officers. However, far from being a desk jockey or a force commander, The Sand Snake runs small operations personally with a perfect success rate. He takes after his master in that he keeps his face hidden. His veiled face is the second most known of all his Insurgent cell: the picture of a raid is his picture, for he has run the most raids of any in the cell. Unlike other high ranking Insurgents, he still lives under the public eye as a martial arts instructor. With the recent panic, his business has been booming.
On missions, he wears Sirinium armor and cloth, lightweight for motion and sturdy for damage. He rarely uses Venom (because it would mean he required thicker, heavier armor), and almost never displays the Libertas Mundi insignia on his own person or any of his men. His strikes are often mistaken for the work of professional thieves or assassins rather than Insurgents.
The Sand Snake is known to be proficient in Capoeira, Aikido, Jujitsu,Tae Kwon-do, Parkour, marksmanship, battlefield tactics, espionage, and any melee weapon that is not classified as "heavy". His most used weapons include the charged knives that employ molecular spreading, Libertas Mundi pistols, his hands, and the environment. Despite his great skill in combat, he fights mostly in self defense, leaving the actual battle to the men he leads.

Name:
Adam Allaway

Appearance:
Image

Role:
Multi-billionaire entrepreneur/philanthropist of the weapons manufacturing company known as Eve Systems. He also owns a resource development company called Garden Incorporated, which he inherited from his father. He is the father of Eden Allaway, who carries the virus known as Aetatisplasia. A virus that kills most it comes into contact with, but stops the aging process of those who survive.

Bio
Adam worked in weapons development as well as his first company, Garden Incorporated for many years prior to founding his own corporation to aid the colonizers of the Arcturus System. His daughter had been infected by the little known virus Aetatisplasia, and stopped aging as a side effect. He is doing everything he can to make sure that no one can capture her for experimentation. But how much will be enough?

NPC: Nico Humeth - Federation Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel aboard the F.S.S. Salient, commanding officer of the 1st Marine Battalion, 82nd Marine Regiment

Description: Humeth, a veteran soldier who has spent the majority of his career fighting insurgents, voluntarily joined the crew of the F.S.S. Salient. Humeth is considered a calm and composed man, perhaps seeing much of war to warrant a view that seems to be dispassionate at times. He takes careful consideration of a situation, and tries to save the lives of as many soldiers as possible. Humeth was the son of a Federation naval Captain, and was thus enrolled into one of the many prestigious Federation military academies that trained the children of high-ranking Federation officers for posts throughout the Federation.

Name:
Derrick "D.C." Carson

Appearance:
Image

Role:
A marine serving Task Force 172. He is also Laura's long-time boyfriend.

Bio:
D.C. grew up as a social outcast from the state of Alabama. His father was often away in different bases around the world, so he didn't get to see him very much during his youth. He frequently got into trouble with the law, so him and his mother often relocated to different places in the country to avoid facing charges. After getting involved with an underground street racing and being busted again, his mother got fed up with it. She sent him to live with his father stationed in Korea. It was there where he met Laura (or Eun Sun rather, that being her Korean birth name). As both were outcasts, they gravitated towards each other. The two had dated until they graduated from high school with both joining The Federation. Laura became a navigator and second-in-command of the F.S.S. Vigilance while D.C. became a marine for Task Force 172. Naturally, it's been difficult to maintain this long-distance relationship.
