As the title states, one day you may be a god, but not today people. A few issues have been raised and I have a few issues myself and I will be out-lining them here, and making more posts here for any further issues. I've been relatively lax and flowery for a lot of this and not really been strict or distinct about anything, however that changes now.
The Issue of Tagging:
Do not simply press Tag All for laziness, Tag those in your post and who are involved and nothing more, seems simple right? Some people are seeming rather confused. For examples if you require them, check me and Layla's posts for Keres and River. We only tagged those involved or within the immediate vicinity that would have something to react to. Despite being in the battlefield.
Location,Location,Location:
Alright, this one I somewhat understand it's hard to remember to change the little location thingy, if you need help with it just click on the location itself and then post straight into there. I've made the mistake myself whilst pumping out posts like a mad-man, however I'd like people to put the posts in the correct place! As it stands just to sort things out, I'm going to be going back later after this Arc and literally putting NULL into peoples posts and then transferring them into the correct location for the sake of proper keeping. Post in the right place! It makes things a billion times easier for me.
Balancing:
Right now, whilst a few characters work well in Synergy with one another the design and variety of skills (Which I'm fine with) Need to balanced so that everyone is as the intro states, relatively weak and new to powers and abilities. Whilst I realize many of you have back stories that mean they are familiar with or good at their powers thanks to life-long etc etc. You need to be balanced with the rest of the people in the Role-play, it's demoralizing to read and ICly it would be demoralizing for the weaker characters, when it really shouldn't be like that. You're meant to develop together, so I'd like you to get onto the RPG Write in the other thread, work on your character, Send me a dozen flaming PM's of anger and rage at editing for the hundredth time. Talk to each other and offer assistance, but balance it out and synergise better.
Power-Gaming:
Now Greg Godly has made himself known and I am not going to name names. However I am finding it difficult at times to not kick peoples teeth in ICly so that they get the message, and if things go on the way they are now I WILL be naming names. One cannot take down a horde of these husks, or a good number of them without sustaining injuries as a general warning. This ties in with balancing in this way, whilst others are struggling with them or fighting back and trading blows, others are simply demolishing or tearing apart without any recoil aside from a lack of energy or power for a short while afterwards. To put it bluntly and somewhat forward.
You are all Noobs, in a world you've never been in before, without great proficiency, within a horde that outnumbers you 11 to 1, facing off against creatures that are not shadows, or zombies, but are only just below Humans in strength. All of them carry weapons, shields, armour, they have formations, they charge, retreat, send scouts, the hole shabang. As it has been stated, they are an army, they are more intelligent then they seem and scouted out your powers. Post like it.
Power-gaming is rule breaking, and I'm giving you chances and testing you with this event. I reserve the right to remove people from the RP if they continue to constantly break rules and cause chaos, a big part of this event is finding out who. So I'm giving you more then fair warning considering it's in the rules.
Post Order:
This is an issue requiring more explanation, however one that is still an issue and along with locations and tagging needs to be fixed. It's quite the fuster cluck and very chaotic. I realize its a battlefield and you're excited and you want to post and use your character and all that good stuff which I enjoy. However you need to post in a relative order as it makes it much better to look at, and allows for proper replies and less rushed/ respond to a bajillion things posts. I'm not saying what for absolutely everyone else to post, what I'm saying is within your area on the battlefield get in a posting order.
The areas are simple to notice straight out in the posting, for example The Nameless are at the back in front of the army of Husks, at least most of them. As QO has put in his post, they aren't all supporting mages and their will be warriors littered through out fighting back themselves, and tying this back into the power-gaming, you do not see me have them burst through the husks despite them being mountainously more experienced then your characters. Think of the direction you are and where in the battlefield you lay. I'll out-line it a little bit below.
Pestel and those being attacked by him are at the back of the army directly in front of the Ice Forest to the west. River, Keres and Kaula are behind the army within the Forest to the north-east slightly, The Nameless are at the back in front of the army dead centre south, KH4 and one of the Neventelde's are eastward within the army.
Now within these areas, keep a posting order, one person posts, then the next, and so on until it loops back around. If someone takes awhile to post PM them and give them some time, maybe a day, and THEN skip them. It'll make things much smoother. However moderate how often you post as well, just because you're in a different area doesn't mean you and your lot can spam out posts because it'll drown out everyone else. Post Order is within your area, Post Frequency is Global.
Ironic Post Size:
Now Post-size isn't a case of too small as I thought it might be at one point with words of, "I don't think I can write that much so often." However it seems you are excitable folk and post size has sky-rocketed into Heaven and God's finding it hard to watch T.V. with all the words in the way. Calm down people, reduce the post size some and allow for less chaotic and somewhat faster replies, a bajillion things are not needed to reply to you are one character so I know you're enthusiastic but try and calm it down slightly. I'm writing for perhaps four characters per GM post but many of you are rivaling or beating that as a singular, just take some time to remove the fluff and lower your post size in general.
Now in future, I will be Messaging people I feel I have issues with, and putting collective or issues with more then one person here. That said, Despite being quite relaxed thus far, as a GM I have a hard learnt habit of punishing people ICly along with telling them so that they change it, just to get the message across to everyone else. If you power-game specifically or meta-game, or anything of the like that I consider rule breaking, I will be finding it more and more difficult not to screw you over for the sake of plot.
This quite possibly seems very harsh, sudden, and off-putting. I encourage excitement and development, good posting and co-operation. After all Role-playing is the co-operative creation of a story, however I'd like for it to look good and be smooth and you know...properly co-operative. Without any rule breaking, and hence I will be bringing forth the iron fist at ponts. Feel free to reply and PM me as per usual.
