On The Walking Dead: Online

Mere hours before a massive infection spreads throughout the city, several strangers' paths become intertwined in their fight for survival as the world crumbles around them. The military prepares to carry out missile strikes on the mainland to help curb the infection in major cities, creating an even more dangerous landscape for our survivors...

The first season begins with film star Calvin Hawke being interviewed by a reporter and her videographer (Harper and Nathan) from WEND-TV. When the three of them are trapped in his agent's office by walkers, they deftly escape the building and flee to the news station where they hope to get more answers. There they meet up with other news station employees before being beset upon by a troubled group of survivors. They rescue the group, harboring them in the station's garage -- but one of the gir's succombs to a bite and soon the entire station is compromised, forcing them to flee. Calvin leads what survivors he can to the Hollywood sign where he hopes to find refuge while Harper and Nathan and a camera operator named Schantz, escape by helicopter after realizing they are trapped on the roof. They eventually find a military frigate off the shore near Long Beach. They and another stranded survivor, Stevie, who had been rescued by a marooned squad of soldiers led by Sgt. Thomas Blackthorne at the beach. She joins Harper's group on a chopper shuttle to be evacuated to a FEMA refugee camp in North Hollywood. Sgt. Blackthorne and his squad of men arrive shortly after to extract a medical team. They find Stevie in one of the tents, having been left behind in a mobile medical unit because of her kidney infection -- and rescue her.

Meanwhile, Calvin, Jack, and Chuck go on a supply run into town while the others setup camp. They are beset upon by two roaming looters and forced to kill them in order to escape. Chuck runs away during the encounter, leaving the other two to fend for themselves. He returns to the camp, telling the others of what happened. James, Wayne, and Steve take the truck to go search for their missing friends. The following morning, more of the looters' group return heavily armed and motivated for revenge. After a brief shootout, Calvin and Jack out-maneuver the gang of men and head straight back to camp to warn the others. They arrive to discover Chuck setting off fireworks and flares to flag down the circling aircraft in hopes of some sort of rescue, but instead he ends up alerting every survivor and walker within 50+ miles to their position.

On the other side of town, a working criminal and her sister (Dyomie and Marie) team up with a cop (Natasha) and flee their house to go rescue the woman's boyfriend, Phillip. They immediately head to the police station to arm themselves and get some sense of what is happening, but the whole station is overrun. After collecting what weapons and supplies that they can, the group flees and decides on their next plan of action.

Calvin's sister (Sarah) manages to escape from the UCLA campus with the help of a stranger named Molly. After having their car stolen and witnessing the murder of Molly's brother by a deranged man, the two girls take shelter in a nearby deli thanks to the help of a young man named Rafiq and his injured friend, Nasir. During their attempted escape via Vespas, they are swarmed by walkers and forced to hide in the sewers after seeing a man peek out of from beneath one of the grates. The four escape down into the tunnels with the help of Carl and his friend Niobe, two survivors from a larger group. On their way back to the camp Nasir succombs to his bite, and Rafiq makes the difficult decision to end his friend's life himself. They reunite with the rest of the group in a maintenance room near the metro tunnels where they meet Jessica Abbott -- a civil engineer, and her son, Samuel... Annabelle -- a congresswoman, George -- an airline pilot... and his dog, Charlie. The group spends the night there, then goes on a supply run the next day -- deciding to split up to cover more ground.

George and Rafiq search for food in a nearby grocery store where they discover an old man in a wheelchair, oblivious to what is going on in the city. George insists on leaving the man behind, claiming that there is nothing they can do to help him. They return to the metro tunnels without him.

Elsewhere, Niobe and Carl head to the Capitol Records building to try and gain some higher ground to boost the signal of Carl's satellite phone. They stumble upon a group of survivors, ex-employees of the music franchise and other survivors. They meet Silas Quinn, the head of the group that calls their home "The Capitol"... and discover some unsettling news in their brief talks with the man.

Sarah, having impulsively run-off on her own, heads towards a medical clinic she knows of nearby. She secretly takes a pregnancy test, belaying her fears that she might be bringing a kid into this doomed world. Outside, she runs into a young man who suspiciously shows up out of no where. He asks if she's a doctor, and they make a deal -- if she treats some wounded members of his group, in return she gets whatever supplies she wants. She reluctantly follows the man back to their camp, Charlie the dog at her side.

Bronson, the leader of the gang of convicts, arrives at Calvin's camp at the Hollywood sign demanding retribution for the murder of his younger brother -- done at the hands of Calvin and Jack. Calvin turns himself in, protecting Jack and the rest of the group from punishment. Chuck attempts to shoot Bronson but barely misses. As the surrounding aircraft begin their bombings of Los Angeles. Bronson murders Chuck and takes Calvin back with him to "serve his time." Harper, Nathan, Schantz, James, and the others arrive having seen Chuck's flares earlier, passing Bronson's crew as they flee the scene. As the bombs continue to drop, Harper leads whoever is willing to follow into the nearest metro entrance to take cover from the bombs. There they run into George, Niobe, Rafiq and the others as they all run deeper into the tunnels. They are stopped by a gun-wielding Dyomie who has taken refuge with Marie, Natasha, and Phillip.

As their city burns down around them, these strangers are faced with the realization that the world they knew might be over -- and that they'd need each other to survive it.
