Age: 28
Gender: Male
Personality: Ambitious is a good word for him, to say the least. Siegmund is an expansionist, aggressively so, with an appetite for acquisition matched only by the shrewd aplomb with which he plans his incursions into other countries. He firmly believes, it seems, in the superiority of his own nation, and sees little moral issue in forcibly spreading that around. At least, this is how he seems to those viewing his actions from the outside. The man is clever like a fox, and just as sly.
Information: Siegmund Anselm is king of Dorthonion, Elysia’s large, aggressive northern neighbor. As things stand, Siegmund is poised to take most of the continent under his grip, but this would be significantly easier if he could command Elysia’s much-coveted mages, so it is to this country that he has first turned, after shoring up his border position by annexing several independent city-states between the two countries.
Relationship to Whom: King of Dorthonion
Age: 42
Gender: Female
Personality: Dianthe is an especially diplomatic soul, one who as a general rule, abhors violence. That said, her years of rule have taught her that sometimes, she must go against her own personal inclinations for the good of the people. She is an idealist, but one whose lofty aspirations are balanced by the intelligence and good judgement necessary to understand that sometimes, those ideals much be achieved through non-ideal means. She is especially protective and loving of her daughter and only child, Calliope, and has thus far attempted to spare her the worst realities of rule, knowing that she will have to confront them eventually but desiring to preserve her innocence for as long as she possibly can.
Information: Dianthe is the present Queen of Elysia and sits the Golden Peacock Throne, so named for the prosperity of the land it represents rule over. The King, ruler before her, died about ten years ago, and there was a bit of an internal struggle for regency, as the princess will not be eligible to rule until her twentieth year. She had proven to be an apt ruler, and the kingdom has flourished under her reign. She is especially popular with the common folk and the mages, both groups of whom have done especially well for themselves under her guidance. Her stance with the nobility is more mixed, as some of them were her competitors for the position of regent, and still resent that she seized it.
Relationship to Whom: Queen of Elysia | Mother of Calliope | Cyril’s Employer
Age: Ageless

Personality: Lucifer is actually a pretty pleasant guy, most of the time. Granted, he has a rather vicious streak, but then, that would be true of pretty much anyone who managed to climb to the top of demon hierarchy. One has to be both immensely powerful and almost incomprehensibly clever to be able to do that, and he is both, assuredly the reason he’s been in charge for so long. Well, that and he knows how to pick the subordinates with the most potential. He is good to his allies and very, very bad to his enemies, and admittedly his sense of scale is quite skewed—he thinks very little of human deaths en masse, for example, though he acknowledges that death itself is not generally desirable for anyone, and indeed seems capable of mourning should someone die that he cares about. Such occurrences are very rare, however. He enjoys teasing and poking fun of people, especially his three generals.
Information: A demon of the highest caliber, some would say the demon, Lucifer is a pretty good example of what they are by nature. Though many demons are what most would describe as evil, this is not a necessary trait, and most occupy shades of grey. Darker ones, to be sure, and Lucifer is no exception, but to simply call him “evil” is to be too simplistic and hasty. His motives are complex, his psychology intricate and nuanced. Nevertheless, he is a demon, and certainly not the kind of person one would want to trust under anything but a binding contract. They are, after all, notoriously sly and selfish.
Relationship to Whom: The Archdemon | King of Hell | Cyril’s Father | Apollyon’s Commander
Age: Ageless
Gender: Male
Personality: Michael is not what he initially seems to be. He wears a manner of affected casualness and ease, and never lets anything penetrate that, save in the moments where his temper is ignited. This is a difficult thing to do, considering, but when it is achieved, he becomes very serious, and not especially merciful. He is not especially cruel, but he does in these moments qualify as strict, and perhaps even harsh, all with an eye to achieving the best outcome possible.
Information: Shangri-La is not what some would call a heaven, at least in the sense that no god lives there. It is the domain of the angels, more properly called the Deva, whereas Inferno is the realm of demons, better described by the term Asura. As the Supreme Commander of the Deva, Michael is responsible for gifting mortals with magic, and is himself the strongest mage in existence. He would have to be, in order to command the armies of Shangri-La in their near-constant struggle against the forces of Inferno.
Relationship to Whom: Sovereign Lord of Shangri-La | Lenore’s Father
