Yo yo yo guys. So this is where you can discuss possible ideas for relations between your gods and nations. :) I'll be adding a character relation sheet soon that you can fill out when you finalize the relationships between your gods and junk. Discuss away!

Not to be a negative nancy but Ill be surprised if anyone likes the Evil Goddess of War who probably did whatever she could to keep the War between the Gods going or the Frostborn who will from time to time leave their corner of the world in order to pillage and plunder and take whatever booty (both meanings here) they can find back to their homeland.

Now Tryne I can see some people liking and others disliking. Something about appearing before your Avatar/fellowers and convincing them to take on something like I don't know a Colossal Squid by themselves seems like it could piss some of the Gods off...
Looking at Julius I cleaned my tears and confessed. "I too ignored the soothsayer...and I too was stabbed by some one I loved."

I believe my god, Montayzuomah, would be too carefree to like/dislike any other gods. He would probably show an interest towards everyone as he observes the world.

For the USN, I would like most of the nations to have trade relations with them. Maybe have an alliance if someone's interested and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a nation who doesn't like the USN and I wouldn't mind that. So yeah, lemme know if you want an alliance or trade agreements.

I think that most of the gods would have somewhat of a respect for Anaria, especially those whom are closer to their humans(as without her the humans wouldn't have had any food when they first came into existence). And most humans would probably respect the fact that she made trees(even though they're just trees to them and won't go through a ritual like the Dryads) and flowers and such. It would be like a follower of the Greek Pantheon still following Zeus, but understanding that Gaia made the earth they're walking on.

Also, anyone that wants to trade iron, cloth, and leather for the church's medicine can :3

Medicine!? I wanna trade that! Cloth as well, that would be great. When it comes to metals, we have enough to survive and mass produce weaponry to trade.

I don't know how others would see Ulmo. The Avuvians would probably be trading with almost everyone.

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby TiMMMaY!!! on Sat Nov 01, 2014 1:06 pm

Hey guys, I'm only on my phone atm so I apologize in advance for any type-o's-

@Ersatz
Seeing as the Commonwealth is in the northern region, my people can have tension with the Frostborn, but they'really a relatively open society when it comes to other gods, so actually hating your goddess may not be the case.
Concerning Tryne, they will likely be open and even happy for him to present challenges, as a nation of hunters they always love a challenge.

@Wei
I'm open to trading with your people, but with Zentose's nation between us land trade would be impossible unless you broker an agreement for the Dryads to transport goods from my nation to the southern border of hers. Otherwise sea trade is your best bet

@Zentose and Sai
As neighboring countries I was expecting/hoping for some trade agreements and friendly relations with respect for your Goddesses and culture. I have plenty of leather, cloth, wood, precious metals (gold and silver) plus iron but I was thinking that we might not be capable of refining steel as that's an advanced process and my culture is somewhat primitive with a focus on survival in nature and through hunting.

@almost insane
Open to trade by sea, but my people lack advanced seafaring vessels so you have to come to Cathair-sa-Chuan, the harbor city. Also my people (at least the Shark-men) would have deep reverence for Ulmo

@TiM

Sea trades will be used when land trades aren't possible, that's what makes the Payemyndii the best sea trading sector.

Wow, gone for 24 hours and Lucky is already putting NAFTA style relations up, you should run for office.

Anyway, the gypsies will be trading with just about every one that we can trade with and unless your land is too far out of our reach, we run our own trade caravans and trading posts. Incase your wondering what we will be trading with, we have a rare and vary well made cloth items and certain mechanical parts for muskets and rifles.
Life is but a sea of evil hell fire and brimstone, and it is only up to you weather you fight it and stay true, or accept it and let it control you...But it either the beginning of an golden era, or the beginning of the end for us all...

@Weilacca and TiMMMaY!!!
You two are probably going to be the main people Arro'ell will trade with, seeing as you're it's closest neighbors. Anaria and all the druids make their herbs and such more potent than anywhere else(being the nature goddess has it's perks). I have a feeling that TiMMMaY!!! will be providing leather(hunters=leather :P). And the Dryads would want raw iron, so they can craft the arrows and swords themselves.

Sadly the Dryads are not going to let ANYONE in their forest, they're very isolationist :P

Tyler would honestly acknowledge anyone, God/Goddess or mortal species, if they understand the values of Success and Survival. Tyler doesn't really care about anything else.

Now, seeing as how Isle Nequin has open borders, I'd have to say it would be huge on trade. And with it being one of the most technologically advanced countries, well, it has much to give and much to get.
One day, I would like to have a five-hour-long chess game with myself. It would truly be amazing, because then it would mean that I am quite intelligent. The longer the game (against yourself) shows intelligence. Today, I lasted thirty minutes. Tomorrow, hopefully an hour. A week from now? An hour and a half. A year? A decade? Five. Hours.

I'm happy to trade with anyone! The USN is mostly funded by their trading anyway. Being mostly specialized in weapons and mass production, we would be offering a large variety of weapons. These include scimitars from the Terna, great swords from the Payemyndii, siege weapons, cannons, rifles from the Vladaminsky, metals, foods, livestock. We don't have many cultural materials on offer, mainly due to the religious opinions on such materials and due to the lack of the materials in their natural form (Cotton, hemp, etc).

Of course, some weapons will not be traded, these weapons would be shown during the RP as some of the military wield them.

Also, I'm wondering if the people of Arro'ell would be interested in an alliance with the USN.

@Weilacca

The most that they would do is maybe a Defensive Pact, meaning if you go to war with someone, they wont help, but if someone goes to war with you, they will help, and vice versa. The current High Priest is too afraid to enter an official alliance, but a Defensive Pact would help to deter invaders.

The Frostborn
Needs: Food and Wood

Things to Offer: weaponry, Gunpowder (they use iit for explosives but do no make guns...go figure.), various metals including the rare Mjolnir metal used to strengthen the front of their ships (so they may break the ice, also turns them into great battering rams) siege weaponry, Meat and of course their services in War.

Things compicating Trade
With the Civil War, any interactions with one clan will make you the enemy of another, expect your shipments to not reach their destination, expect shipments to you to never get to you/go missing, and expect small bands of Angry Northsmen burning down a village or two from time to time.

Things Complicating an Alliance
Aside from the Avuvians, who have earned the respect of the Frostborn by kicking their arses in the naval aspects of war, none of the clans are willing to make a true alliance. As a matter of fact if the Old king had never died, the Frostborn would be attempting to expand into the Mainland.

Gypsy clans
Needs: Being pretty self sufficient, the gypsies would only need a few rare items. Pure iron for rifle parts and a rare type of quartz crystal used to make "dragon powder" charges that instead of firing a round, shoots a jet of flame about 12 feet, good against wooden defenses and certain types of beats who are vulnerable to fire. (Will not be using them offend due to the fact I have used them in other role plays and have been hit with the OCC nerf bat to stop using them.)

Things to Offer: Many fine and uncommon linins, spices and other items. Special types of medicines, obviously not as good as dyads, but good quality for your buck. A type of powder known as "green powder" which is almost smokeless and has more power behind it, but degrades rifles a lot faster and is difficult to make. High ranking people such as the scarlet's leader, (and my Character), can offer basic lessons in pyromancy. We also have a few rare first editions of book about Pandeum's history that would other wise be lost, Gypsy scholars FTW. We also would contract the Scarlets out to some one who pays enough, but if something like camp stone being attacked happens, we will drop what were doing and defend the camp.

Re: Relations Discussion

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Weilacca on Sun Nov 02, 2014 12:42 pm

@Zentose

A defensive pact would be great. With the Trimonarchy containing a pacifist, war would be discussed more fully, meaning that any aggressive actions would be dealt with in a more diplomatic way. The USN are also open to assist other nations in the war effort in order to heighten their relationships. The USN would also offer the dispatch of some of their own military to assist in forming a garrison in your territories.

@Ersatz

I would offer to trade food for gunpowder, but if those complications do occur then there would be some actions to prevent it. This would include military escorts, diplomatic 'talks' to prevent any raids or even invasion of the enemy's land.

I should also state what we offer in an easier way....
Offer: Weaponry, siege weaponry, ships (maybe), food, metals, building materials (mainly different types of stone)
Need: Luxury resources, cotton, fabrics, money, gunpowder, wood (lots of wood).

So far,
Trade Agreements:
Zentose:
Receiving: Cloth, Leather and Medicine
Giving: Raw Metals (lemme know if you want anything else)
Any other confirmations of trades please let me know.
Alliances:
Zentose: Defensive Pact.
Any other confirmations/offers of alliances please let me know.

Shall we add a Relations section to our Character sheets to make it easier to remember what trade agreements and alliances we have?

@Zentose ,

I see a possible pact between the gypsys and the dryads. the commend observer offend missis how many times a day the gypsys thank the nature goddess for all that they take, and in return, most gypsys would come to the aid of the dryads if need be.
