Wow, an honest-to-goodness high fantasy roleplay. It's been way too long since I last saw one of these.

I haven't made my mind up yet in regards to making a character, but I'll certainly let a couple friends know in case they might be interested.

Just want to check, so when we find a shard are we all going to be trasnported to the sands of Marsden?

Is this how we all meet ?? :)

Yes :) Sorry it took me so long to respond D: So, basically, the stone shards are drawn to places of power so for her she found it (oops.. I wasn't quite clear on that) her stone was found at a table that sold spell stones whether they're components for spells or they have a spell cast on them. They're all magic in some way. When your character sees the stone they're kind of like I described, they're all colorful but not all at once, once you grab onto it, the color changes based on the power it grants you. All other magics are gone save the ones that live in the stone. when they encounter the stone there's a tingling feeling and they hear a humm of magic that they probably always heard but not that the world is silent, they take notice. The feeling they get as the touch the shard is also associated with the power it grants. Hers (if you couldn't guess) is fire.

Would it help if I told you guys where you find the stones and what they grant? I'll probably tell you what they grant anyway, and they places are up to you unless you request otherwise. Does that sound good?

Sounds good to me :) I was thinking Sonnass'a may find her stone in a vault or someone she stealing from :) so do we loose our current power then when you say all other magic is gone?? Once we find a Stone are we then granted with another? Sorry just trying to fully understand what's happening! lol

I went through the same thought process so I asked as well. It sounds like we lose our original power for now, however when we get more shards we can get it back. It's supposed to put us into a "newbie" magic position. I like it!

yes. old magic is gone for the moment and you can get it back when you find a shard that grants that power. Having to learn new abilities can help your character to learn things about themselves. For example, my playable character controlled shadow, now she has fire. So it's power of light given to one that was used to her darkness. I can give hints on where to find shards and I can tell everyone what stone they find if they would like. :)

Okay plants, what the heck am I suppose to do with plants? My character is a Knight not a gardener.

Well my point is I am rather annoyed that we got no say in exactly what new powers we'd be wielding. And that frankly all of these powers seem useless and so far from what the characters personalities are from.

If you PM me we can talk about changing it. I'm okay with that. I just wanted to pick something the characters themselves wouldn't be used to. Plants can actually be pretty useful in a fight. just look at Poison Ivy. But PM me Derek. We can talk about it. That goes for Claw and lolkatlove. Blue and I already talked. If you have a MAJOR problem with something, let me know and I'll try to fix it for you. I want you to have fun :)
