"Willcraft"

Let's see how this works. I'm going to be flooding this topic with cards as they're done. Not many are. So, off to work I go.
Circ wrote:When I first joined RolePlayGateway, it was a place where positive conflict fostered creativity and friendships were formed rather than cliques. Honesty and transparency were valued, new people were incorporated into the community rather than judged based on what style of writing they preferred, and despite the youthfulness and zeal of the population there prevailed a reasonable degree of common sense.

Ziggy, Master Thief.
Ziggy is a master thief from the fabled northern deserts where he gained a terrible notoriety for heading out and pillaging tombs. He learnt the tricks of the trade and knew how to sneak past the finest of guard. Of course, sometimes there were problems that had to be removed, so he also became rather dangerous with a knife. He soon came to know where treasure was to be found and always checked the pockets of the unfortunate guard who crossed his path.

Treasure Hunter - Passive
Ziggy knows where to find the treasure, and leads the team to get better loot from a quest.
Level 1 - +1 to loot roll on quest cards.
Level 2 - +2 to loot roll on quest cards.
Level 3 - +3 to loot roll on quest cards.
Level 4 - +4 to loot roll on quest cards.

Sneak - Cast
Ziggy makes himself undetectable for a short amount of time.
Level 1 - Invisible to characters of a lower level for 1 round. 3 mana.
Level 2 - Invisible to characters of an equal level or lower for 1 round. 3 mana.
Level 3 - Invisible to characters of any level for 1 round. 3 mana.
Level 4 - Invisible to characters of any level for 2 rounds. 6 mana.

Backstab - Passive
Unfortunately for those who cross Ziggy, the results are dire if they don't pay attention.
Level 1 - +1 damage when attacking while invisible.
Level 2 - +2 damage when attacking while invisible.
Level 3 - +3 damage when attacking while invisible.
Level 4 - +4 damage when attacking while invisible.

Steal - Cast, Requires level 6, 10, 14
Ziggy takes something right off of another person. Serves them right for being careless.
Level 1 - On a 6 from a 1d6 roll, take 1 level 1 piece of a equipment from target.
Level 2 - On a 6 from a 1d6 roll, take 1 level 2 piece of a equipment from target.
Level 1 - On a 6 from a 1d6 roll, take 1 level 3 piece of a equipment from target.
If I ever face this guy in a match I'm murdering my opponent. Apart from the massive damage you could rack up with backstab, while untouchable yourself, you can steal equipment. Got an item that reveals invis? Not anymore.

Edward Attenborough is the elder of two brothers and the more devout and religious of the two. Simply put, he is a paladin, willing to do the gods work. He is the son of the fabled general, Tristan Attenborough. His education and training have made him skilled at persuing and slaying the undead and demonic, an often hidden passion of his. Overall he comes across as stoic, like an unmovable mountain ready to face down anything.

Notes
I had to change Lay on Hands to a quick, or it was far too weak. Fortunately, I couldn't fit in a teleport spell, or could you imagine?

William Attenborough is the younger and infinitely more noble of the two Attenborough brothers. His youth was spent around the courts of nobles and he learnt the sway of money and how it could work around chivalry. As he is the son of Tristan Attenborough he is still a skilled fighter, but sometimes uses cleverness and money to aid himself in combat. Where his brother takes pride in resolve, modesty and devotion, William prefers bravery and heroism.

Ransom - Interrupt
As with the orders of chivalry, noblemen can be bought back for a ransom when captured in combat.
Level 1 - Spend 200 gold to lower the next damage dealt to this character reduced by 1.
Level 2 - Spend 200 gold to lower the next damage dealt to this character reduced by 2.
Level 3 - Spend 200 gold to lower the next damage dealt to this character reduced by 3.
Level 4 - Spend 200 gold to lower the next damage dealt to this character reduced by 4.

Chilvary - Passive
William stands for honour in combat and has been trained to follow chivalry. Thus, he gains strength against armed opponents.
Level 1 - +1 damage to an opponent equipped with a weapon.
Level 2 - +2 damage to an opponent equipped with a weapon.
Level 3 - +3 damage to an opponent equipped with a weapon.
Level 4 - +4 damage to an opponent equipped with a weapon.

Heroism - Interrupt
William bravely throws himself in front of an opponents attack to protect an ally.
Level 1 - 6 mana.
Level 2 - 5 mana.
Level 3 - 4 mana.
Level 4 - 3 mana.

Royal Favour - Passive, Ultimate, Requires level 6, 10, 14
Williams ties to the noble courts gives him connections to good favours. As such, he can be brought back to life after death.
Level 1 - 300 gold to bring him back to 1 life. 200 gold for each life point past that.
Level 2 - 350 gold to bring him back to 1 life. 150 gold for each life point past that.
Level 3 - 400 gold to bring him back to 1 life. 100 gold for each life point past that.

Notes
William Attenborough. Pair up this 'height of nobility' with the low life Grimlock and you have a nasty duo for cash. Maybe throw in the Dwarven Smith (not yet uploaded sorry) for extra effect and you have yourself a cost efficient team.

Grimlock Azagor, Merciless Bounty Hunter
Grimlock grew up in the crappy slums of the world. It wasn't nice and it wasn't pleasant. But the people there were resilient and Grimlock came to know some of the more hunted crooks about. He associated with them for a while, making friendly, pretending to be one of their kind before he would hunt them down and put a crossbow bolt through their skull. Soon this passion for hunting turned to anyone whos head had a price and he used any of the tricks he had learned from the killers and thieves to make an enjoyable living.

Pick The Missions - Passive
If Grimlock has to work with a team, he's picking the missions. He's learnt where he can get the most profit from people he can either smooth talk or threaten.
Level 1 - +50 gold from each quest.
Level 2 - +100 gold from each quest.
Level 3 - +150 gold from each quest.
Level 4 - +200 gold from each quest.

Cast Net - Quick
It's hard to run when you're under a net, so Grimlock always keeps one spare to throw at whatever unlucky individual is trying to escape him.
Level 1 - 2 mana. On a 6 target cannot evade attacks next round.
Level 2 - 2 mana. On a 5 or 6, target cannot evade attacks next round.
Level 3 - 2 mana. On a 4, 5 or 6, target cannot evade attacks next round.
Level 4 - 2 mana. On a 3, 4, 5 or 6, target cannot evade attacks next round.

Explosive Powder - Interrupt
A useful trick to catch any prepared mage or killer off guard is to throw down some explosive powder wrapped up in a sack, causing a disrupting explosion that blinds and stuns the target slightly.
Level 1 - 3 mana. Stops target from casting spells on a 3 or above.
Level 2 - 3 mana. Stops target from casting spells on a 3 or above and does 1 damage.
Level 3 - 3 mana. Stops target from casting spells on a 3 or above and does 2 damage.
Level 4 - 3 mana. Stops target from casting spells on a 3 or above and does 3 damage.

Bounty - Cast, Ultimate, Requires level 6, 10, 14
Grimlock knows how to give that extra incentive to kill a person.
Level 1 - 4 mana. Target loses 1 armour for each 250 you spend for 1 turn.
Level 2 - 4 mana. Target loses 1 armour for each 200 you spend for 1 turn.
Level 3 - 4 mana. Target loses 1 armour for each 150 you spend for 1 turn.

Notes
Explosive powder seem sunderpowered. Maybe its just me, but why would you get anymore then 1 level in it? Obviously the money and ultimate are a nasty combination.

Re: [OOC] Willcraft

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Patcharoo on Fri Dec 31, 2010 11:06 am

Post overalls image. All things written in the image are overuled by this post.
Image

Aldaris Silverarrow, Sharpeyed Hunter
Aldaris grew up in the often dangerous forests of the elves where he learnt to hunt creatures with a light hearted passion. It was his father and mothers duty to hunt and was passed down to him. His hunting became well renowned amongst his elven companions, so he decided to test his luck outside in the rest of the world, where he met Saberfang and the two roamed the lands together for many years.

Trick Shot - Cast
Level 1 - 2 mana. Two attacks instead of one with -6 to damage roll.
Level 2 - 2 mana. Two attacks instead of one with -5 to damage roll.
Level 3 - 2 mana. Two attacks instead of one with -4 to damage roll.
Level 4 - 2 mana. Two attacks instead of one with -3 to damage roll.

Quick Step - Interrupt
Level 1 - Roll 1d6. On a 6, evade 1 source of damage this turn.
Level 2 - Roll 1d6. On a 5 or 6, evade 1 source of damage this turn.
Level 3 - Roll 1d6. On a 4, 5 or 6, evade 1 source of damage this turn.
Level 4 - Roll 1d6. On a 3, 4, 5 or 6, evade 1 source of damage this turn.

Tracking - Quick
Level 1 - 2 mana. Roll 1d6. On a 6, detect invisible characters.
Level 2 - 2 mana. Roll 1d6. On a 5 or 6, detect invisible characters.
Level 3 - 2 mana. Roll 1d6. On a 4, 5 or 6, detect invisible characters.
Level 4 - 2 mana. Roll 1d6. On a 3, 4, 5 or 6, detect invisible characters.

Focus - Quick, Ultimate, requires level 6, 10, 14
Level 1 - 2 mana. Allows you to attack and not be interrupted next turn.
Level 2 - 2 mana. Allows you to attack and not be interrupted next turn for +1 damage.
Level 3 - 2 mana. Allows you to attack and no be interrupted next turn for +2 damage.

Notes
Trick shot is very nasty. Focus is a good way to dump a lot of trick shot damage without being stopped. I might need to fix the wording, but the intent is to use focus during your opponents turn, then follow up with Trick shot on your turn.

Garzhul Flesheater
Garzhul Flesheater was a savage half-orc raised by his father out in the wild, exiled from both people of his heritage. As an outcast his fathers lack of hunting ability lead him to persue easier prey. Cannibalism was taught to be acceptable and education was low, but Garzhul learned things others didn't, like how to push himself past his own limits and the fastest way to eat a freshly killed corpse. He found the fear of other people made it only easier to take them by surprise, often ambushing caravans and leaving everything untouched but the owners.

Devour - Passive
Garzhul has a diet of whatever flesh he comes across and will be quick to eat anything slain in a quest.
Level 1 - Gain 1 life for each quest completion.
Level 2 - Gain 2 life for each quest completion.
Level 3 - Gain 3 life for each quest completion.
Level 4 - Gain 4 life for each quest completion.

Blood For Power - Quick
Garzhul pushes himself past his limits, enduring the pain to slice down a foe.
Level 1 - 2 life, 1 mana. +1 to next attack roll. Works for both attacks when dual wielding.
Level 1 - 3 life, 1 mana. +2 to next attack roll. Works for both attacks when dual wielding.
Level 1 - 5 life, 1 mana. +3 to next attack roll. Works for both attacks when dual wielding.
Level 1 - 6 life, 1 mana. +4 to next attack roll. Works for both attacks when dual wielding.

Dual Wield - Passive
Garzhul wields two weapons, giving him a second attack but lowering his combat capabilities.
Level 1 - -7 to attack rolls.
Level 2 - -6 to attack rolls.
Level 3 - -5 to attack rolls.
Level 4 - -4 to attack rolls.

Memories of the Forgotten - Ultimate, requires level 6, 10, 14.
Nearby death pushes Garzhul into a hungry frenzy. For each dead hero, Garzhul grows in strength. Includes allies and enemies.
Level 1 - +1 damage for agility. +2 max mana for intellgience. +4 max health for strength.
Level 1 - +2 damage for agility. +4 max mana for intellgience. +8 max health for strength.
Level 1 - +3 damage for agility. +6 max mana for intellgience. +12 max health for strength.

Garzhul notes.
Ultimate is veeery OP. Kill him first, kill him fast before anyone else dies. Fortunately, if its squishy casters who die its not as big a deal as agility heroes. He can pack quite a punch if you give him the chance to get his damage really high. In a match its worth pairing him with a really weak suicidal hero, like the Goblin Weaponmaster (not yet uploaded) who will die quickly, do a lot of damage and give him a nice boost.

Saberfang, Rogue Spirit
Saberfang is a man of no origin, but to call him a man is to do him no justice. In truth he stands as a different race, like elf or orc, but one long since dead. He perserveres only on instinct and ancestral guidance. With little to achieve in his life short of survival, he had much spare time and when his ancestors were silent he studied beasts and befriended them. In time, he became to be like them, adopting their fighting styles and their senses. His encounters with others who could speak as his ancestors did were never welcome until he found one such individual with the heart of a mighty forest cat. The two shared a mutual respect for beasts and became companions for some time, hunting in the wild.

Fight Like a Beast - Passive
Saberfang's race were not too dissimilar from beasts and after watching some creatures fight he learned to fight like them, with fang and claw.

Level 4 - Can detect invisible and dodge the first attack directed towards him by rolling a 5 or 6 at the start of battle phase.

Feral Roar - Cast
Releases a mighty roar to intimidate foes, making them hesitate. Each opponent must roll 1d6. On a 6 they cannot attack next turn and suffer...
Level 1 - No other effect. 2 mana.
Level 2 - -1 to attack next turn. 2 mana.
Level 3 - -2 to attack next turn. 2 mana.
Level 4 - -2 to attack next turn. 2 mana.

Form Shift, Cast, Ultiamte, Requires level 6, 10, 14.
Saberfang shifts into the form of a beast, being from a race of shapeshifters. Saberfang can change freely between any of the learnt forms and his standard. It costs 3 mana to shift forms.
Level 1 - +1 to Beastial Senses roll. No bonus from Fight Like a Beast.
Level 2 - +2 to Fight Like a Beast. Cannot use Feral Roar.
LEvel 3 - Opponents cannot attack on a 5 or 6 for feral roar. No effect from Beastial Senses.

Notes
Excellent all round disabler who can become rather nasty with his ultimate. I'm pretty sure the third form is 'bear', but not sure about the other two.

Akurei, Blue Ninja
Akurei had the terrible plight of not being the only ice based ninja where he was from. Shunned for being less popular, he left his homeland to travel to a new land and seek ninja fame there.

Calm Serenity - Passive
A sense of calm is invaluable. It provides the ability to recover in times of peace and then become a weapon moments later.

Level 1 - 4 mana. Reduce damage from attack by 1. Do 1 damage to attacker.
Level 2 - 4 mana. Reduce damage from attack by 2. Do 2 damage to attacker.

Level 2 - On a successful hit, reduce opponents base attack by -3 for their next attack.
Level 3 - On a successful hit, reduce opponents base attack by -4 for their next attack.

Notes
Key words 'base attack'. It does not lower the damage equipment or abilities do. However, still hard to keep down thanks to a nasty interrupt and recovery passive.

Gael, Forest Charger
Always an impulsive centaur, the life of battle seemed suited to Gael as she gladly took up her spear and hooves and charged out to meet those who would threaten her homelands.

Level 1 - 2d2 damage for 2 attacks.
Level 2 - 2d3 damage for 2 attacks.

Level 1 - Takes +3 damage from attacks. Recovers +6 life and +3 mana when resting.

Quick Jab - Interrupt
Gael quickly thrusts her weapon to interrupt a spell.

Level 2 - 3 mana. When equipped with a weapon, stops target from dealing damage and does 1 damage.
Level 3 - 3 mana. When equipped with a weapon, stops target from dealing damage and does 2 damage.
Level 4 - 3 mana. When equipped with a weapon, stops target from dealing damage and does 3 damage.

Charge - Quick, Ultimate, Require level 6, 10, 14.
Gael charges her foes. Her next two attacks do increased damage.
Level 1 - 4 mana. +1 to next two attack rolls this turn.
Level 2 - 5 mana. +2 to next two attack rolls this turn.
Level 3 - 6 mana. +3 to next two attack rolls this turn.

Notes
Forewarning, if your opponent is getting trample, kill Gael. With level 3 charge and level 4 trample she can immediately do as high as 16 damage to a single target, and a minimum of 8. It's hard to get across size in such a form, so I tacked on the Large Body ability to hopefully help represent it.

Level 3 - 1 mana. Deals weapon damage to enemy +1. Take 2 extra damage.
Level 4 - 1 mana. Deals weapon damage to enemy +2. Take 3 extra damage.

Taunt - Cast, Ultimate, requires level 6, 10, 14.
Pnis taunts the enemy into attacking him.
Level 1 - 3 mana. Target hero must attack Pnis McGree on their turn.
Level 2 - 3 mana. Two target heroes must attack Pnis McGree on their turn.
Level 3 - 3 mana. Three target heroes must attack Pnis McGree on their turn.

Notes.
This is the most frail hero there is. With so little health he could die in the first turn from three lucky rolls, he is one of the most deadly heroes there is. Give him a weapon as soon as you can, get his passive and get chopping your enemies. If they let Pnis get to level 16 for his ultimate, its their own fault and they have probably lost by that point. Recommendation for keeping him alive... have a healer and throw William Attenborough's heroism before Pnis.

Alissa I'mnotsexist Nolastname, like all waitresses (waitressi?) has plans. Jackson Smith, Blood Priest
Despite his morbid name, Jackson Smith is actually a gentle and kind man. He is a coward of a man, often whimpering or blubbering at his own ineptitude or inability to save others. It all comes from a night when he was performing priest duties at a hospital when a terrible accident happened. Desperate to save a life, a doctor asked Jackson to help as he was the only one around. The horror of the scene, blood, death, screaming, traumatized Jackson forever. Despite his weakness, Jackson has a strong will which helps him continue his priest duties in his endless effort to heal people.

Blood Infusion - Passive
Jackson's close ties with blood have forever imbedded themself in his mind. When he sees blood his first thought is to heal and thusly he draws on magic whether he needs to heal the individual or not. Whenever he causes 2 or more damage or takes 2 or more damage, he recovers mana.
Level 1 - 1 mana.
Level 2 - 2 mana.
Level 3 - 3 mana.
Level 4 - 4 mana.

My Sacrifice - Cast
Jackson presses on with his strong will to heal others with everything he can, even if it puts him through immense pain or injury.
Level 1 - 2 mana. -4 health. Heals an ally 6 life.
Level 2 - 2 mana. -6 health. Heals an ally 9 life.
Level 3 - 2 mana. -8 health. Heals an ally 12 life.
Level 4 - 2 mana. -10 health. Heals an ally 15 life.

Blood Transfusion - Cast
Jackson knows he has limits and will ask allies for aid when he feels like he has reached them.
Level 1 - 4 mana. Target ally loses 2 life. Jackson gains 2 life.
Level 2 - 4 mana. Target ally loses 4 life. Jackson gains 4 life.
Level 3 - 4 mana. Target ally loses 6 life. Jackson gains 6 life.
Level 4 - 4 mana. Target ally loses 8 life. Jackson gains 8 life.

Desperation - Cast
Jackson desperately tries to save the life of his ally, even going as far as drawing them back from death to do so.
Level 1 - 5 mana. -5 health. Heal target ally from death to 1 health.
Level 2 - 7 mana. -10 health. Heal target ally from death to 7 health.
Level 3 - 9 mana. -15 health. Heal target ally from death to 14 health.

Notes
Jackson is very good for keeping your allies alive at the cost of his life. Keep him stocked with potions and he should be able to hang around. My Sacrifice at level 3 works well with Blood Transfusion at level 4, but sometimes its just not enough.

Elrazith, Creature of the Void
Whether Elrazith was always the thing he is now is uncertain. One tale says he was once a man who went in search of power and found it at the cost of his mind, body and soul. Truth be told, no one knows what Elrazith is or was as he remains forever hidden behind his cloak and polished mask.

Void Walk - Cast
Elzarith opens a portal to the void and sinks through and returns 1 turn later, though the time he was in the void may have been much longer. Roll 1d6 to what he gets. Spell damage lasts 1 turn. Costs 4 mana.
1: Returns with spell damage.
2: Returns with life.
3: Returns with mana.
4: Returns with spell damage and life.
5: Returns with spell damage and mana.
6: Returns with life and mana.
Level 1 - +1
Level 2 - +2
Level 3 - +3
Level 4 - +4

Rift - Interrupt
When an opponent casts a spell or attacks Elrazith, instead remove them until their next turn, at which point their attack or spell continues as if it were still the turn they had used it.
Level 1 - 8 mana
Level 2 - 6 mana
Level 3 - 4 mana
Level 4 - 2 mana

Affinity to the Void
Elrazith's closeness to the void gives him unnatural magical abilities.
Level 1 - +1 spell damage
Level 2 - +2 spell damage
Level 3 - +3 spell damage
Level 4 - +4 spell damage

Ungodly Creature
Elrazith summons up a creature of the void, possibly one of his kin, to assault the enemy forces. All boosts on Elrazith also apply to the creature. Costs 10 mana.
Level 1 - 6 life. 1d2 spell attack.
Level 2 - 12 life. 1d4 spell attack.
Level 3 - 18 life. 1d6 spell attack.

Notes
Ungodly Creature is possibly the nastiest level 3 ultimate there is, I think. Stacked on with Affinity to the void and it's doing a gauranteed 5 damage a swing with a potential of 10. This hero might be overpowered, so I'll have a review of it some time but for the moment here is Elrazith.
Level 1 -

He has little more then a memory of his brothers toiling over the forge and their drinking and merriment that causes so much noise. It's hard to get a gig when your band sucks and you're in a small town, even more so when you only play metal. So Evelyn set out into the world to make money elsewhere, using her loud music and electric guitar to inspire people.

David Black
David Black grew up in the tough slums. Living in the streets he learnt some dirty tricks, some of which he's none too proud of, but he also learnt how to survive. He was surprised to find how easy it was for him to to just go out on quests and earn money that way. It was sure as hell a lot easier then beating the crap out of people in bare fist boxing in underground arenas.

Fist Fighter - Passive
David is a natural when it comes to bashing the crap out of people with his fists.
Level 1 - +1 to damage when unarmed.
Level 2 - +2 to damage when unarmed.
Level 3 - +3 to damage when unarmed.
Level 4 - +4 to damage when unarmed.

Concealed Weapon - Interrupt
David pulls out a concealed weapon and cuts his opponent, causing them to bleed. Equip a weapon to David when an opponent is attacking him. Opponent takes damage equal to that of the equipment each turn until they rest.
Level 1 - Equipment damage.
Level 2 - Equipment damage +1.
Level 3 - Equipment damage +2.
Level 4 - Equipment damage +3.

Notes
Going to redo the hero from this point. Concealed weapon used to contradict Fist Fighter by equipping him with a weapon before he struck an opponent. It was just counter intuitive.
