Characters for "The Rage of Denver"

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Akita on Fri Dec 31, 2010 12:31 am

Hey guys, this is where you need to post ALL your characters for our roleplay, "The Rage of Denver." Please do not post them anywhere but in here. Make your own character sheets, but do not forget to include the important parts: name, age, description, picture, and background information, and of course any other information you'd like to provide that doesn't completely give your character away.

I will post mine in a bit as I will need to compile some information to go with the storyline...

Name: Xander J. Landers
Affiliation: Husband of the wife's sister (insert_name_here)
Age: Thirty-Four
Appearance:
  • Five feet eleven inches tall
  • Average weight
  • 'Square' build - Wide shoulders, strong frame, defined musculature
  • Copper hair - Short/cropped, typically untamed/uncombed/'messy'
  • Trimmed goatee
  • 'Dazzling' green eyes
  • Jeans and an untucked button-down aren't uncommon for him
Employment: Humble writer for the local newspaper
History: Xander met [___] at the age of twenty just as he started out his career in newspaper- writing. After much long trial and error, he managed to gain enough affection from [___] to be able to take her on a date. Things kicked off well and within five years the couple became happily married. Upon his first meeting of Derek, he didn't particularly see eye to eye with him, perhaps it was simply the fact that they had differing views on politics and choice of drink, food and the like, or maybe it was something else. Regardless, something about Derek put him off, and to the current date he still doesn't have a very high opinion of the man. Aside from that however, Xander is an honest man with a clean criminal record and not even a single speeding or parking ticket to his name.

Re: Characters for "The Rage of Denver"

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Shō on Fri Dec 31, 2010 1:02 am

Name: Neil Rollins

Age: 30

Background: The leader of the citywide Stacked Deck gang of Denver, Colorado. Neil Rollins leads the gang in many felonious activities such as drug trafficking, robbery and extortion, etc. Apparently, Neil and his followers are wanted for questioning on the recent murder of Gloria Fawn, Ex-Police Officer Derek Fawn's wife. Most believe that the murder was not intentional due to rival gang violence erupting throughout the city. However, others believe that the woman was really a target since she was the wife of a well-known police officer.

Description: Neil is said to be in his early thirties with short, thick brown hair and green eyes. He stands at 5'10" and weighs about 168lbs. His skin complexion seems to be slightly pale, with a few scars, cuts, and scabs on various places of his body. Neil is usually armed and dangerous, and his mood can vary due to a high amount of drug usage. This drug usage may have resulted in him being slightly thin and sickly looking.

Name: Derek James Fawn

Age: 36

Job: None;
  • Former police officer for the Denver, Colorado police department (DPD)

Appearance: Derek is a tall, medium-sized man with ashy brown hair and faded green eyes. His hair is somewhat short, but the front lays halfway across his forehead. He has medium tanned skin and looks to be a hard worker. His hands are calloused and the wrinkles in his forehead and smile show that his age is definitely catching up to him. On days when he's not working, he prefers to wear a simple outfit consisting of a tall tee, and a pair of worn jeans. The usual family-man looking kinda guy. Days when he works, he wears his police uniform with his badges and equipped weapons, such as his taiser and gun, etc. He always has his pager and company cell phone on him, just in case he needs to be contacted or be called into work. He stands about the height of 5'10" and doesn't necessarily have a stalky build, but his build is definitely somewhat muscular.

Background: Derek's wife, Gloria Fawn, was murdered in a gang shooting during a drive by. He used to be an officer for the DPD (Denver Police Department) and was asked to take a paid leave until the investigation for his wife's death was completed. He persisted in participating in the investigation anyways and got fired for stealing evidence and intruding on an investigation where it wasn't his business. Even after he got fired from his job that he loved so much, he continued to investigate the crime with bits of information he found out on his own and information he got from his friends from the Police Department. He is still scouting out who killed his wife.

He has no kids, and he was married to Gloria since he was 25, which was 11 years ago. They lived together in a nice, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with their German Shepherd dog, Rusty. Gloria was an insurance collector and she, too, loved her job. She was killed outside of her house during a drive by a couple hours before Derek got home from work.

Your characters are all perfect, there is nothing to change about them. Waiting for characters from the others, and then we can start the RP. I'll get ahold of them when I can. <3

Re: Characters for "The Rage of Denver"

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Saken on Fri Dec 31, 2010 10:22 pm

Name: Cecily Norris
Age: 21
Job: Drug Trafficking. (Also a druggie)

Appearance: A rather dangerously skinny woman, with dark hair and dark, wide eyes. She has scars on her arms and on her fingers, from where she has picked and scratched at the skin. She is about 5'4, walks stooped over, dressed in ripped, ragamuffin, blue jeans and a too large t-shirt that covers her form. When it's too cold out, she puts on a worn, black sweater, with a hood. The outfit is finished with a pair of scruffy tenny-shoes.

Background: The woman is a friend to one of the people that did the shootins. She's very terrified, tweaky, and paranoid. A lot of what the woman tends to see is some edge of the drugs that she is always high off of. She's a gang member, beneath the infamous Neil Rollin's.

Re: Characters for "The Rage of Denver"

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Conumbra on Fri Dec 31, 2010 10:59 pm

Name: Norman Bates
Age: 22
Job: Member of Neil's Gang

Description: Norman is a thin man, and has somehow managed to stay thin through his constant eating. His hair is brown, though hints of black show through at the tips, evidence of Nroman's attempted dye job which didn't end up so well. Whenever he's with Neil's gang he can usually be seen wearing the gang's insignia, a deck of cards with the Ace of spades held up. Outside of gang activities, he usually wears jeans with some variation on a hoodie. If one were to look closely, they would see scars covering a large portion of Norman's skin, though he is reluctant to talk about where they came from.

Equipment: Norman always carries a Beretta 9mm pistol he managed to swipe from a gun shop while the owner wasn't looking.

Background: Norman grew up on the streets of Denver, pick-pocketing for a living and trying to survive the daily horros of his life. One day he accidentally stole drugs from a member of the Stacked Deck gang, who caught him and brought him to Neil. Instead of savagely beating the kid, Norman was drafted into the gang, before he was shot in the foot by Neil as a lesson. He was the one who shot Gloria as a way to pass his initiation, though Neil didn't tell him why he was to shoot Gloria specifically.

Re: Characters for "The Rage of Denver"

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Thirion1850 on Sat Jan 01, 2011 6:31 pm

Name: Jeff/Maxim Ovrachinskey.
Age: 44
Birthplace: Nizhny Novgorod, USSR.
Birth date: Oct, 4th, 1967.
Job: DPD officer.

Visual description: Jeff is not the prettiest guy around, but certainly holds his look. Though aged, his 'honey-red' eyes give him a rough 10 year spare. They're hard, however, often tired with heavy black bags under them. A chin unkempt at times, with short sprouts attempting to form a new beard. His hair is dark-brown, and kept in a fairly regular manner, though fairly unobidient. Though roughly and carelessly done, he's often times quite clean and even manages to keep a professional look about him.
He has a traditional, even if quite stereotypical, 'Russian bear' build. Often taller inching slightly taller than most folks he meets, but never manages to tower over them somehow. He weights, of course, accordingly to that. There is a burn scar on his right shoulder.

Background/personal description: Now there's a big question to be asked – it's obvious the guy is a typical Russian, almost a walking stereotype to a fault. He enjoys his vodka. He keeps to tradition and common practice. He's diligent, holds his temper, has manners on him. He even has an ushanka in his locker, just for a fact that it 'might' get too cold, even though he rarely even notices temperature drops.
He is often quiet. Rarely shy, however, always keeping his head about the situation. Rarely seeming to involve him self in the party, if there is one, but working his shift out and treading off to his apartment. A fairly calm, clockwork life.
Yet, there is something very off about this guy. He came to America about 20 years ago. Despite having achieved high grades in the MGU for various areas of physics and chemistry, he didn't renew his diploma for it to apply in the States. Or rather, tried, but failed. Despite the fact that he was married, the woman was left back in Russia upon his immigration. Despite the fact that he's been in the US for such a while, it appears he still didn't entirely adjust to the changes.
And while he seems to be having a clean record in the United States, all his record back in his home country seems to have gone missing.

Real/Russian history: At request only.

History with the gang (obviously only known to its select members): The life of an immigrant is hard. Especially if you're Russian, coming to America can be a very rough ride. Low income, prejudice, solitude. No being immune to it, Maxim appears to have eventually succumbed to one of such sins – avarice.
On one beautiful, sunny day, he caught glimpse of a murder. Yet, when requested of release for a nice up-fed of cash, he let the gang member free. He enjoyed the thankful praise every now and then, and this rare time he took it in with gratitude. Eventually, after a nice share of it and several other unfortunate incidents, shifting to become something of a double agent, or even a mole within the DPD.

Re: Characters for "The Rage of Denver"

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Hells13 on Wed Jan 19, 2011 7:08 pm

Name: Jack Rela
Age: 25
Job: Priest

Description: A skinny man with very little muscle. A bit fat with light brown eyes, small ears, and a clean shave. Looks younger then 25 and is an innocent person. Very spiritual and close to god, gutsy about the way he talks willing to bring things up that others want gone. Has very thick sideburns and are ultimatly proud of them.

Background: As a child in Denver he reilized a lot of things. The first was the gangs on the streets, drive-bys shooting people, selling drugs, the slow destruction of lives. The second was that the police were corrupt and this he found that this to be the most true growin up, when his best friend was sentenced for 20 years for possesion of Cocaine. He never had or smoked Cocaine. Jack knew because he was in the car with him when the police came. The third thing was to stay out of everything but be part of something. That's why he decided to become a priest. His mother and step sister(Main Character's wife) won't ever stop buggin him about a missed oppurtunity and about doing something better but still, no one kills a priest.

Character History: After a year of being a priest with his own church he reilized that most people who come to church on sundays were people with dark pasts, gang members, their families and the good old god fearing families of Denver. A lot of rumours do fly in a church, some innocent and others can be quite nasty. Not to mention what can be heard in confessions, that can get most people arrested if not for Jack keeping their secrets.

Re: Characters for "The Rage of Denver"

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Eastep on Tue Jan 25, 2011 9:04 pm

Name: Samuel Nickels
Age: 24
Profession: Officer

Physical Description: Athletic looking and dark skinned, Samuel maintains a staggering physical fitness level, both for his job, and his dream of one day becoming a bodybuilder. He shaves his hair down to a point where it's barely there, and almost always keeps his head covered in a hat, whether it's police issued or not. Easily six foot two, blue eyed, and shining with youth.

Equipment: 9mm handgun, nightstick, handcuffs, taser, and mace spray.

Background:
Samuel was raised by his grandmother, having been abandoned by his parents. His childhood was fairly standard, he made good grades, stayed out of trouble like his grandmother asked him, and in general he was a good boy. It wasn't until his preteen years that things started getting messy.

Falling into the wrong crowd, and goaded on by the neighborhood children, Samuel fell into a life of hanging with the wrong crowd and working up the nerve to attempt a petty crime. Him and the children from the neighborhood eventually went on to become more daring, petty thievery and the occasional drug deal becoming more common.
His grandmother eventually caught him, and with the help of his school guidance counselor, he made his way back to being a good student and grandson.

He studied to become a teacher himself, but eventually fell away from that approach as he realized how bored with life he was. He had never done anything exciting, excluding his criminal activities. On a sudden whim, he decided to take up a badge and a gun, figuring that it would give him more joy than lazing around in an office or schoolroom somewhere. Up against corrupt cops and politicians, Samuel quickly learned to stick to his own business and do what he was told.
Once partnered up with Derek though, he took a turn for real police work. Chasing down real criminals and bad guys, arresting them and seeing the families they'd hurt get their justice in the court system, it brought a proud feeling to him. He took up bodybuilding in his spare time, having already been training for his job.
When Gloria Fawn was killed, Samuel quickly turned the other way, feeling sorry for his partner and friend. Without his old partner, he finds himself falling back into the routine of being told what to do, regardless of whether it was right or not.
