Lucian looked at Amelia, the girl was strange. She was frightened by a nightmare, yet she wanted a monster to stay with her while she slept. He wanted to be there for her, but right now it was hard to think of anything but the fact that he was to blame for her only having two years to live made him feel guilty. He couldn't really think of a reason not to stay with her, all she needed was a sense of feeling safe. There was no reason for her to feel so frightened from a dream, but do anything about it right now, she needed some kind of feeling of security.

Lucian sighed in defeat, "Alright, I'll stay here." He walked towards the bed and sat on the floor and used the bed to lean his back on. "I am sure you'll be fine and if anything ever tries to get you, I'll protect you from it." Lucian said. His voice was just above a whisper as if he hadn't really planned for the words to escape his lips. He shook his head, he couldn't take back saying something like that, so he might as well just let it pass.

Amelia felt immensely better when he moved into the room and sat against the bed on the floor. She let out a relieved sigh and felt herself finally relax from her nightmare. We heard his soft promise and didn't doubt him. "Thank you," she mumbled as she finally closed her eyes. She felt safe and her muscles began to relax. She quickly began to fall back into sleep and her mind was at ease now that Lucian was back and in the house. Her mind kept drifting towards a nightmare but having Luciain the room was enough to keep the monsters in her dreams at bay. Amelia got a good night's rest and felt better in the morning.

In the morning Lucian, had fallen asleep sitting up, but once the sun had risen he quickly woke up and got out of the room. He wasn't going to stay in the room when the sun could easily burn him. He moved into the kitchen where grabbed a bottle of blood that he had supplied the house with before Amelia came over, it was so that he made sure there was no reason to even think of Amelia as food. It had been a while since he went to school, and it probably was time to actually start going back. He couldn't just drop out right now, he needed to keep up appearances and so did Amelia. He made some pancakes and bacon for Amelia to eat and then poured her some orange juice. He walked upstairs with a tray of breakfast and into her room.

"Amelia, time to wake up, you're going to school today." Lucian yawned as he sat the tray on Amelia's bed stand and looked at her. "You've got to get ready before we are late. I need to make a stop at the post office so I can send all those notes to Aiden." Lucian walked out of the room after telling what they were doing today and then went back into the kitchen to drink the rest of the blood and then cleaned the dishes. Since, once that was all taken care of he went on his way to get dressed and shower. He was ready pretty quickly and was just waiting on Amelia to get ready. Lucian just sat downstairs and watched the news as he waited for her to get completely ready. All his notes were packed into a box, the books he had been reading were back in the library they had in the house and everything had been cleaned up.

Amelia rolled over when she heard her name. She cracked an eye open and saw Lucian standing above her informing her they were going to school that day. She watched him leave before looking over to her nightstand where he had set a tray full of breakfast down for her. She felt rather touched by the notion and began to eat. Lucian was quite a rather good cook considering he didn't really even need to eat human food.

After she finished she rolled out of bed and went to the guest shower. She didn't have time to dry her hair so she braided it over her shoulder before gathering up her school books. Even though she was missing a lot of class lately she was still getting fair grades. She walked down the stairs and found Lucian. "I'm ready, let's go." She said as they walked out of the house. "Thanks for breakfast, it was very good." She gave him a small smile before climbing into the car.
