The clouds below the plane were painted the smooth pastel colors of the sunrise. Pink, orange, and light blue filled the scene until the aircraft took a slight left and Brooklyn had to squint her eyes to shield herself from the blinding sun. Even her Dior shades couldn't keep the brightness out, but it helped a lot with blending in with the other civilians on the plane. With an annoyed sigh, she quickly slid the window down. The sky above the clouds was the only thing comforting her in this long room of recycled air and crowd of people.

Brooklyn could feel the change in the air as the plane began a slow descent, and the captain beeped in through the radio to inform the passengers that they would be landing in San Diego, California shortly. It certainly wasn't home. Brooklyn's--well, Rick's spacious home was further north in Santa Clara, just a short ways from San Francisco and the beach. Mid-California would always be home to her. South Cali simply didn't cut it.

The final scene to Rick's movie was going to be shot today, something that Brooklyn both felt excited for and dreaded. She couldn't stand half of the crew members, and she knew that Keira was going to be in town. As much as that brought her down, she looked forward to sitting in the passenger seat of that Ferrari F430 while Rick drove 70MPH down the coast. Almost nothing excited her more than fast, sexy cars. And Brooklyn found that she got to ride in a lot of them with Rick at her side.

Brooklyn leaned her head back against the seat of the airplane while the descent grew stronger and they neared the landing strip. With a content smile on her face from her thoughts of the Ferrari, she turned her head to look at Rick beside her. "After we shoot, what do you say about visiting the beach here?" Brooklyn had been to many beaches in Cali, but the San Diego beach was one she had yet to go to. She hoped that Rick wouldn't have anything planned, but she knew how he got when the movie set got busy. He could be there until one, or until eleven. Things were planned to go smoothly though, unless the paparazzi hear about their last shooting location and swarm the scene. She looked around the plane while she waited for his reaction, noting that they'd yet to be recognized by other passengers yet.

Plane rides, were a usual deal for Rick and he seemed to have his whole journey planned. He normally kept a few hours or so for sleeping and resting, the usual time for the meals and also just a good magazine and book to keep his attention span going. There was the entertainment system, but he didn't quite like the idea of watching movies starring him, not to say he didn't like his own movies. It was just a personal thing he had. A sound of a shutting window, made Rick jerk his head toward his left to look at Brooklyn. He shut his magazine, and gave her a slight smirk. The sunlight hadn't been much of a bother for him, since he did have his Louis Vuitton sunglasses on, though the mere reason for that was Brooklyn insist on staying blended in.

Rick rested his head back, against the head rest as the plane began to descend into the atmosphere of San Diego. As much as he liked traveling, as it was said there was nothing like home and he would much rather be back in Santa Clara in the comforting place of his own house as spacious as it was. Though being back home was the last thing on his mind. In fact he had a pretty clear mind, and was just tuning into the Captain's radio message for thanking the passengers to flying with them and giving them brief details about the weather in San Diego.

As an actor, Rick absolutely loved movies and he was just glad to shoot the last scene of the movie to get a week or so for relaxing before being involved in another movie or any other events his manager had planned for him. There was one glitch that he didn't quite like about the movie, and that was his ex, Keira being present. As much as the public had expected him to get back together with her, he had developed a different relationship with Brooklyn and only an idiot wouldn't be able to see that Brooklyn and Keira didn't share friendly feelings. Not that Rick blamed either of them for it.

The plane hit, the landing strip with a thump causing Rick to jump a little but he shook it off. With the plane slowing down to a average speed, Rick turned to look at Brooklyn mirroring her smile. The next question took him off by surprise, as much as he liked spending some 'alone time' with her, if you could call it alone till paparazzi swarmed them squealing and asking for photographs and autographs. Remembering the conversation with his manager, Leila, Rick had to meet with a leading CEO of a corporate business, for his next publicizing event. Rick had never been fond of putting Brooklyn down so he have her a nervous smile "Well.. Brook dear" he began to say lifting his sunglasses of his eyes "Leila planned a meeting with some hot-shot Guy after the shoot, maybe after that if we get finished early?" though they both knew it would be unlikely for him to finish early.

During the conversation Rick, hadn't noticed that lifting his sunglasses of his head would result in an easy passage to someone noticing him. "OH-MY-GOD is that you.. Rick Colland.. And is that your girlfriend? Brooklyn Hall?" a loud shrieking voice came from the other side of the plane. Rick cursed putting a hand to his palm, as he turned to Brooklyn mouth a quick apology before turning to see the young girl run up to him sprinting out of her seat causing all the passenger eyes to land on the two of them.

The plane landed somewhat hard, but it wasn't long before they were down to the speed of a slow-moving car in order to position the plane where they were to exit. Brooklyn was used to rocky landings though, and took it like a champ, keeping her blue eyes on Rick. She often found him hard to look away from. Things were different now though. In the beginning, she was just excited that she had landed someone so good looking and famous. But now things have changed. She kept her eyes on him because she cared about what he had to say.

Brooklyn knew that her idea was going to be gently shot down by the soft look on his face, followed by a nervous smile. "Well, Brook, dear..." She looked away from him and down the aisle, waiting for the captain to relieve them of their seated positions. She didn't care to hear the excuses. Sometimes she wished he would be straight forward with her, but other times she knew that perhaps that would make her see him as inconsiderate. He lifted his sunglasses to reply saying that he had a meeting after work today, but that it was a "possibility" afterwards. She could read through the lines. What he meant was, maybe she should find another way to spend the afternoon...alone.

This was the life, she thought. A world of busy days and work, work, work. Maybe I'll talk to Christofer and see if he can find me a gig tonight just for the fun of it. "I wish we had more time to spend with each other," she mumbled out loud. Before they could turn that into a discussion, a girl only a few years their junior suddenly exclaimed "OH-MY-GOD, is that you...?"

Here we go. Be nice, Brooklyn. Rick mouthed a swift apology, and she simply nodded, pushing her own sunglasses up farther on her nose. Another young girl unfastened her seatbelt before it had been approved, and a flight attendent tried to hold her back but her eyes were also on the couple. Handheld cameras were already beginning to flash as were cell phone cameras clicking. "Yes," she said simply, confirming the girl's claims. Brooklyn was beginning to get used to being "the girlfriend" instead of an independent model. It bothered the self-centered part of her to know that Rick got most of the attention, but she was also happy just to be a part of the scene. The moment the captain noted that the aircraft had come to a stop and that it was safe to unfasten seatbelts, people were moving in for the camera kill.

Brooklyn immediately stood up, and ignored the swarm of questions that had already begun around them. She was ever grateful that her agent had chosen a spot directly behind hers. She turned to him, saying, "Christofer, hun, would you mind taking my bag from the overhead for me? Rick's, too, please." She had one thing on her mind: getting out of the frenzied plane. She clung onto Rick's left arm and pulled him upright, gently pushing him towards the swarm in the aisle.

She managed to push her way through people, unwilling to be caught in the middle of the crowd. Just as they'd reached a clearing, an older woman who clearly tried to appear younger than she was had shouted out over the crowd. It wasn't the first time she had heard this rumor, but it managed to send an irritated shiver across her skin every time. "I hear Rick's seeing Keira O'Brien again, is it true?"

The plane maintained a slow speed, as it was moving toward the taxi area to station the plane and get the exit lanes ready. Rick turned toward Brooklyn, meeting her gaze with a small smile. As a surprise to everyone else, he had come out open with Brooklyn as his girlfriend and it wasn't for fame or anything like that. He genuinely just fell for her, sure beauty was a factor to be accounted but he did quite like her easy-going character around him.

Seeing her eyes divert from him to the aisle beside them, he sighed and rolled his eyes. Rick had always tried to please her, and sometimes he just wished she would take that into account not that he was going to point out her flaws, he could already see the bad outcome it would turn out to be. As much as he would've liked to accept her offer, he wasn't going to risk missing out on a new event that could mean more publicizing for him. Rick wasn't the guy to look for fame, but he'd much rather keep the fame he had gained rather than just dish it out with not being punctual and canceling meetings with important people.

Rick was used to haste life, of having a shoot one place then driving miles away for a meeting then back down for another movie-related event. It did get some getting used to, and even as much as Brooklyn had dealt with it he didn't quite like the idea of her trailing with him and ruining her relaxing evenings either. Listening to her mumbled comment, Rick shook his head "Look I really-y.." he began to whisper but the interrupting from a crazed-fan managed to divert their full attention.

Plastering a quick, fake yet charming smile on his face Rick turned toward the fans speaking a few lines of greetings. Though before he could say anything about who they were, Brooklyn had already confirmed their assumptions causing another girl probably quite a few years younger than them to squeal and grab on to Rick. He muttered underneath his breath before quickly releasing her grasp off him passing her a small smile and signing her plane ticket. The only thing that brought a sigh of relief to Rick's lips was the Captain's announcement, but not even that seemed to catch the passengers attention.

With the swarmed fans, Rick hadn't noticed Brooklyn unfasten her seatbelt and stand up. In fact he didn't even hear her words to her manager sitting behind them. Rick's manager was already on set, and making his entrance preparations sending cars to the airport with security and making sure the set was fit to Rick's preferences. Feeling a tug on his arm, he looked up at Brooklyn and unfastened his seatbelt with one hand expertly trying to avoid the reaching passengers. As he stood up, he ran a hand through his perfectly tousled hair, before mumbling a quick 'excuse-me' to the passengers not that it seemed to have a positive outcome as he reached out straightening his clothes before following Brooklyn's urge to barge through the crowd.

Somehow they managed to get through the crowd, and just as Rick had thought they would step back he heard a booming voice over the shrieks and conversing people. He closed his eyes for a brief second, before turning back to face them. Living with rumors was something he'd learnt to do, but this certain rumor really did aggravate him. Even after endless statements and coming open with Brooklyn as his girlfriend there were these rumors circulating. Rick's arm slid across Brooklyn's waist as he pulled her close "I'm not seeing Keira, as you can see and you know that Brooklyn is my girlfriend. Need that in writing?" he replied wittingly trying not to lash out, before giving a fake smile and walking past the stewardess and steward with Brooklyn's manager following closely behind.

Luckily enough Leila, had sent Rick security members to escort them from the plane to the car which would take them to the shoot. He kept his arm around Brooklyn as they headed down the lane toward the immigration and baggage reclaim past passengers with their cameras and screams. He pulled back on his sunglasses and kept his head low.

Re: Celebrity Dreams ★

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby BriBriBearx on Sat Dec 03, 2011 4:02 pm

Just as they were about to exit the plane, Rick heard the claim that Brooklyn had and suddenly pulled her close. "Babe, stop, let me go. I just want to get off this-" before she could finish, he spoke loudly enough for everyone in the first few rows to hear. "I'm not seeing Keira, as you can see and you know that Brooklyn is my girlfriend. Need that in writing?"

She couldn't help look up to smile at him behind her. It was moments like this that reminded her of why she enjoyed him so much. He stands up for himself, and for her, but also has the charm of a mature celebrity to get the point across without rudely lashing out. Brooklyn would have snapped a nasty comment had she not kept her mouth shut. To emphasize the fact that their relationship was now fully public, she turned to give him a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving the plane, her manager close behind the two.

"Your manager actually did something right," she noted and sighed with relief. Four security guards met them at the exit of the plane, two for each side of them. "Remind me to thank her today." As they walked through the airport, Brooklyn noticed that one of the flight attendents in the front was also so kind as to hold back the passengers on the plane for a good thirty seconds before releasing them after the couple. This gave them just enough time get to the baggage claim, where these fresh new people wouldn't recognize them until the passengers of their flight also arrived and began to frenzy again.

Brooklyn moved closer to Rick, resting her head on his shoulder while they watched the conveyer belt slowly start to fill with suitcases and duffle bags. She caught a glimpse of hers and left Rick's side to snatch it off the belt, the security guards mirroring her steps. "Yours is right there, sugar," she said to Rick, pointing a finger down to the beginning of the baggage claim belt. Once he had his bag, Cristofer came up to her. "Here, honey, let me take that for you," he insisted, taking the duffle bag from her hand. Brooklyn thanked him, and then took Rick's free hand.

The baggage claim was already chock full of people who had recognized them, and many people were coming up for autographs. Well, Rick's autograph, anyway. There were a few teenage girls who had shirts or pieces of paper that Brooklyn signed, but most of them were seeking her boyfriend's signature. She let him sign a few before getting slightly irritated. She grabbed his hand again. "Come on, we're going to be late."

The streets were full of morning traffic, but the taxi driver was excellent at his job. It only took the twenty minutes to leave the airport and reach the beachside street they would be filming on. The set was just off the side of a road in a nearby park, full of sound booms and extra lights, and the sexy red Ferrari parked in the lot of the park. Brooklyn stepped out of the taxi and took in a deep breath. "Oh, Rick, can you smell the ocean? It almost feels like home out here," she noted outloud, looking up at the clear blue sky. The only clouds that could be seen were fluffy white ones that passed in the distance. But alas, the peaceful moment of sea salty air and a sunny day could only last so long. Leila immediately approached them, but did indeed have a smile on her face that showed them she was happy to see them here.

"Believe it or not, they're calling for rain today in a few hours. We need to get busy. Right now, come now, let's go," she was a friendly woman but very upbeat and on-the-go. Patience wasn't her forte but she was always a woman to get things done and done right. "Brooklyn, go ahead over to meet with Miranda, she'll get your face and clothes on." She wasn't particularly happy about having to sit down in a folding chair for an hour on such a beautiful San Diego day, but she would obey orders. Brooklyn leaned in to give Rick another short kiss and said, "I'll see you soon." She only hoping that Keira wouldn't be snooping around the set today.

Rick ignored Brooklyn's words, and only held her close stating his reply. It managed to bring a second of silence in the crowd, but as soon as Brooklyn leaned in to kiss his cheek camera's began to flash again as well as the loud voices. Rick passed a small smile toward Brooklyn, before turning to head off the plane. There were times, Rick would solely not comment on the rumors but this was one of the things he never let by. Especially since it involved Keira, and after their break-up they really hadn't built the best relationship as others claimed it to be.

Rick nodded at Brooklyn "After all I hired her.." he said then shook his head, signaling it to be sarcasm at the very least. Though in fact, he had to agree that sending bodyguards out for them was the best idea to keep off the swarming fans. With the stewards and stewardesses keeping the frenzied fans out, the two were easily able to get out of their sight heading off toward the baggage reclaim. He kept his head low with his sunglasses pulled on, following the bodyguards to their belt to retrieve the baggage only hoping that the people around them wouldn't recognize them.

Keeping his arm around Brooklyn, Rick smiled at her before turning to keep an eye out for each of their bags. He decided not to carry too much and only brought an average sized suitcase, if he needed anything he could simply purchase it. When Brooklyn pushed away from him, he let his arm slide off her letting her take her bag as he kept an eye out for his bag. Rick caught sight of his suitcase, and was about to head for it as Brooklyn spoke up "Got it, Hun" he said to her smiling before pulling the suitcase off the belt and setting it on the ground as he lifted the handle up, to drag it along. Rick was about to offer helping Brooklyn, when she handed her bag over to Cristofer, he merely shook his head before lacing his fingers through hers as they tried to head out, the guards taking their positions again.

Before they managed to make an escape, amounting people had begun to recognize them. Rick was bombarded with all sorts of people asking for photographs, autographs and whatnot. He let go of Brooklyn's hand, keeping on his fake 'famous' smile, as he signed the numerous items. As a girl leaned in to give him a hug, he was pulled on the other side, looking over his shoulder he saw Brooklyn and quickly nodded "Alright, Alright.. I'm coming" he said holding on to her hand once more. Just as Rick was studying the lovely weather, taking in the light breeze, with the smell of the salty air, Leila approached them. He turned to look at her and greeted her with the exact mirroring smile.

Rick nodded at Leila, letting her take charge as she always did. She hardly seemed to slip up, so he had no problem in going on with her orders and believing her. He just didn't want there to be another shoot, taking up another day if they didn't manage to finish all the scenes for the last part of the movie. He kissed her back quickly, releasing her before smiling. "Great" he said before letting Leila hand him his script to let him run over the lines in the script, and alongside explain what was going on as he headed off to his closed off dressing area.

Arriving at the movie set, Rick took in all the items being set up, and gave a nod of approval at the Ferrari situated in the parking lot barred off. That being the best part of the shoot. The set had been guarded off, to prevent anyone entering and to keep the security levels fit for each actor/actress. He smiled at Brooklyn's comment "Well maybe the day or two we spend here we could visit this beach again" he told her, trying to make a mental note to remind Leila to keep a few hours free for Brooklyn.

The gentle breeze brought forth the salty air from the ocean. Brooklyn could hear the crash of the waves against the shore even from across the busy road. Police officers stood by, read to block off the road to traffic for the duration of the movie scene. For now, they mingled in the park, conversing with actors and others working on the set. Brooklyn's eyes were closed, so she could only hear and smell the California scene around her. Miranda had already put her in her outfit, and was applying generous amounts of makeup to her closed eyes. Brooklyn's sandals were lying next to the fold-up chair she sat in, and she wiggled her toes through the soft green grass.

"Your make up is turning out beautiful today, love. Have you been washing your face with the cream I told you about?"
Brooklyn gave a sheepish smile. "I have, but I've been cheating on my diet with the sweets lately..."
Miranda chuckled softly. "Don't we all." She paused to apply the last of the mascara onto her eyelashes. "We're all done here. Go run along to your boo."
Brooklyn gave her a bright smile as she checked out her appearance in the large mirror in front of her. Miranda had given her a mild brown smokey eye with long lashes that made her eyes stand out. Her lips were painted a soft pink, barely lighter than their natural tone. "It looks fantastic. Thank you," she said. Brooklyn walked away from the pavillion that shaded them from the sun to search for Rick.

Brooklyn quickly spotted Rick on the other side of the yard, scanning over the script. She could see him mouthing the lines to himself before he turned towards his dressing area. Brooklyn put a little extra bounce in her walk to catch up with him. In the parking lot, she could see crew members working to set up cameras in various places inside and outside of the Ferarri. Brooklyn tapped Rick on the arm. "I think we're about to shoot. I'll meet you over by Leila when you're ready."

Leila was found talking to the sound crew near the Ferarri, going over technical terms that Brooklyn had no reason to learn about. By the time she was in earshot, Leila was ushering her forward. When she got close enough, Leila put a hand on Brooklyn's back and led her to the passenger seat. "We're doing a camera check, sit here."

Brooklyn had learned over the past few months of filming with Leila that when she says something, you follow along, no matter what it is. So though she was confused, she sat down immediately. The leather seats were soft against her. The inside of the car was mostly a mix of black and grey with all of the bright color being on the outside of the car. The cameras rolled for all of two seconds before being shut off again. One of the crew men spoke up saying, "Check on all car cams. Go ahead and tell the police to put up the detour signs so they can close the road off."

Seeing Rick across the lawn again, she smiled and gave two thumbs up to show her excitement. She couldn't wait to start filming. Christofer also spotted her, and rushed up to her. The speed of getting stuff done around set had sped up quickly, last-minute stress building up on everyone's shoulders. Brooklyn rolled the window down just as the wind began to blow, bringing a nice breeze into the sports car. "What's going on?"
"Dominick just called from Santa Clara. I need to get you home by July 8th, he's booked a front page cover photoshoot for Vogue for you."
"Ah, this is why I keep him around. Thank you, Christofer."

"Everyone clear the set!" Leila called through a megaphone. Everyone who wouldn't be working directly with the car or the helicopter for filming cleared to the edges of the set, leaving absolutely no chance of one of them accidentally being in the scene. The filming copter's blades began to spin slowly, picking up speed as they rotated.

Rick watched Brooklyn leave before turning back to a rambling Leila. After spending so much time with her, he had learnt to pick up the key points in her speech. He nodded at certain parts before grabbing her shoulders "I've got it.. Just relax" he said then passed her a small mischievous smile to which she rolled her eyes "Just run through the lines, and get changed and get there" she said in a stern voice, before heading off to her duties. Rick smirked before looking down at his script, learning lines in a matter of minutes wasn't something new for him, and since the director had made some changes he had to learn those too.

Feeling a tap on his shoulder Rick turned to see Brooklyn as he passed her a small smile, he would've normally kissed her or held her close but there were people watching them closely and he tended to keep his business apart from personal matters. "Of course.. oh and you look beautiful" he said winking at her then turned back to his script. It was quite hard to shut himself off from the loud noises covering the set, with people running around the place talking on walkie-talkies, making the last few amendments to the shot and keeping the Ferrari in shape.

As Rick stepped near the dressing room, he was dragged in by one of the dressers who was in shambles as she quickly handed his outfit to him and directed him to change. Rick quirked an eyebrow at her for acting like that but then again he let it pass knowing it was the last day and everyone was stressed. He headed in to the changing room, getting dressed into black washed out jeans, with a smart shirt. He stepped out letting the dresser make the final adjustments and put him in a dark blazer. Rick thanked her before running over his script once more.

Just as he was mumbling a line to himself, someone entered his room. Turning he saw Keira, turning back around sighing rolling his eyes "I'm pretty sure your not in this scene.." he said quietly loud enough for her to hear. Keira laughed and walked in "I am still part of this movie don't forget that" she said in that cheery voice of hers. Rick couldn't believe that even after their break-up she was acting like this with him "Like you let me forget" he mumbled to himself pretending to look through the script. "Need some help with the lines sweetie?" she asked touching his shoulder. Rick turned to face Keira pulling his hand off "I'm good but thanks" he passed her a fake smile before stepping out the dressing rooms handing his script to one of the nearby people, not paying attention to who it was.

Looking up, the set seemed to be huddles, but soon enough he found his way through toward the main set seeing cameras get into position with the filming crew setting everything up. Rick's eyes landed on Brooklyn catching her thumbs-up, he smiled glad to hear that everything was going great, the last thing he wanted was trouble with the last shot. He waved at her before being detoured by Leila once more. Rick smiled at her "Lines are learnt, I'm dressed anything else?" he asked. Leila was carrying a megaphone in her hand with papers in another "Alright go!" she said before turning the microphone on and speaking through it. Rick winced covering his ear before heading on set toward the Ferrari.

Rick approached the Ferrari, as he slid into the seat smiling, a light breeze running through his hair. Just as he took a seat and was getting comfortable he was 'attacked' by one of the final touches people who combed out his hair fixing him up. Rick rolled his eyes before letting them do what they want as he leaned back in the seat waiting for the cue from the Director, hoping he would be able to hear it over the noise of the helicopter whirring above the car containing another set of film cue. "This should be fun" he stated out loud smiling at Brooklyn.

"READY?... ACTION" stated the Director as everyone hushed watching the set intently hoping everything would run through. Rick caught the signal by Leila and straightened up reaching over to open rooftop for the car revving the engine. He smiled at Brooklyn, before pressing the accelerator on the car one hand on the wheel as the car sped across the sand.
