I wouldn't worry about it being dead already, though it does happen with a lot of RPs.

My posting habits are 2 to 3 times a week unless a GM specifically points out in their game they want a ton more. I usually avoid RPs that absolutely must have a post every day or every other day. I have full-time work and other things on my mind and can't prioritize the RP.
