::Raizen Miser::
Darkness knows no limits. That surely applies also to the hearts of man. Humans were such creatures capable of compassion and of virtues and yet are just as easily filled with infinite greed. Gold. Miser flipped the golden coin into the air as it flickered with the shimmering light of the golden setting sun. Why do they treasure these metal if all they do is trade them away? Miser wondered as he caught the coin on its return path due gravity. Starring out beyond the cliff where he stood, Miser could see a golden sea whose color was transformed by the brilliant star. It was a magical moment that lasted only a short while each day.

"Such a waste..." Miser crumpled the coin in his gauntlets of a fist as he spoke aloud to no one in particular. "There are far better uses for these things than simple bartering..."

Turning around so that he faced the deep forest some distance away, Miser fired the coin with a flick of a finger as a warning shot. But while he meant for the shot to miss on purpose, Miser did make sure its trajectory was in close enough proximity to his new foe to show them that hiding won't get them anywhere. "Wouldn't you agree?" Raizen smiled with confidence behind that simple white mask.

Kane had been stalking Miser for some time. Through the harsh woods, making his steps light. Like a lion stalking deer. This wasn't exactly usual for Kane, the majority of his previous uses had been in urban settings. The forest, while not new to him, was something he had less experience in, he didn't want to take chances. Kane was no gambler.

Kane ducked behind a tree as the man ahead began to enter into some kind of dialogue with himself. Kane adjusted his leather fingerless glovers, making fists and releasing them. Then, he patted down his cargo/cameo trousers, checking for loose fabrics, tears, anything that could be exploited. No problems with them. Finally, he knelt down to his black boots, the laces done tightly, if he were a human he'd definitely have lost circulation in his feet. Still, the tightness of the shoeleaces didn't hinder his foot movement, so he never bothered to loosen them. The laces were kept neat and orderly, tied stop any loose hanging.

He stood and waited calmly. At this moment, a coin was flicked into the air and Kane was spoken to by the man he'd been stalking.

"Wouldn't you agree?"

Kane emerged, no point in hiding any more. He rubbed some dew off of his bare chest, his fingers clinking against his silver dogtags.

"I wasn't listenin', really. Not much fer... Babblin'." Kane eased into a grin. "Anywho. I got things I need to do. So let's jus' hurry up an' get you nice'n'dead real quick. No point wastin' time, wouldn' you agree?"

Kane reached to his left, and placed his palm firmly against the bark of a tree as he spoke. As soon as his sentence was finished, he pushed and uprooted the tall tree with ease. It began to quickly plummet towards Miser. Kane watched, still a slight smirk upon his face.

::Raizen Miser::
Having fired his warning shot, Raizen entered a ready position. With his blade still sheathed, Miser's left gripped the sheath and his right pressed the handle against it penting up strength readying his weapon for a powerful attack. "...No point wastin' time, wouldn' you agree?" Indeed. If the encounter was inevitable, then so be it. Viewing his foe through the eyes of the simle white mask, Miser could see Kane with his cameo trousers and black boots standing tall and muscular. A well trained body it seems... despite the slight unnatural feel. His hair was short and white with silvery eyes looking at the tree to his nearby.

!?

With one hand Kane uprooted the nearby tree. The deep web of roots resisted the pull but to no avail. One by one they began to depart from the precious soil by which they had lived their entire life. When finally all the roots, thus resistance, succumbed, the tree fell with Kane's strength in a hasty descent.

"What display of strength."

"So this is my foe's first warning shot huh?" Thought Miser deep in his heart. From the time the tree was being uprooted to its eventual descent, there were plenty of opportunity for Raizen to dodge out of the way and let it fall empty onto the earth. Yet rather than running tens of meters, Raizen was calculating the branches and the trunk, the speed and the trajectory, to discover the other possible escape routes. He needed not dodge the entire tree. Just the trunk and the branches that might hit him. It would be no difficult task for one trained as he.

And with quick sure steps, without disturbing his stance, Miser moved into one of the 'holes' between the branches as the tree fell down and instantly up onto the trunk while focusing at the same time on his foe's movements. "Hüte meine Schreie" Mizer spoke softly beneath his mask. Rather than attacking, Animus' stance remained in the ready as if waiting for Kane to charge in from his position. Almost inviting him. "Come" The described gesture seemed to say in perfect silence. Raizen wanted to first see what this man was capable of beyond just brute strength.

Kane watched his opponent closely. His body was relaxed, no flinching. He was calculating. His body was barely moving as the tree fell. Kane had seen this before in combat: high reflexes and a sharp mind. The man wouldn't be beaten by just a tree.

Mizer seemed effortless in maneuvering himself out of harms way, edging himself into the gaps between branches to remain unharmed. While the tree had been falling, however, Kane had moved to left slightly. He had pressed his boot against the foot of the tree trunk, and just as the branches came down on Mizer, Kane pushed. The trunk slid across the grass as if it had no weight and with a speed that suggested much the same. A sinister, chesire-cat-grin had been etched into Kane's expression as he waited for gravity to do his job for him.

::Raizen Miser::
Having keen eyes focused on Kane's movements, Raizen understood the implications of a simple push from Kane's hand. And thus rather than landing on the trunk that he suspected, the branches tackled him in the air. Lifting the sole of his feet to intercept the nearest rushing branch, Miser used the brief contact and launched with his legs sideways to the right rotating clockwise to both escape and slash through any incoming branches with his left elbow blade. It was fortunate that he was keenly observing his foe thus aware of the attack. If it were not for his attentiveness since one post turn back, Miser would likely have suffered multiple blows due the branches or be caught with the tree into the depths behind.

"... Wut des Himmels..." Miser continued to chant. Almost instantly, however, all trace of magical energy seemed to have vanished as if into the void - albeit temporarily... <<Spell Delay>>.

And while the unfortunate tree charged into the depths down below, Miser's rotating dodge exposed his back to Kane for a brief moment as if saying 'strike here', 'strike now'. His knees were bent and his body coiled slightly into a ball as if the most naturally absorbing the shock of the dodge with such movements. "Hüte meine Schreie" Miser chanted again softly behind the white mask. But if Kane simply waited and did nothing else, it would be Raizen's turn to take the initiative. Who, in which case, would likely recover into a charging stance before rushing towards his foe at a moderate pace not to overwhelm but simply to bridge the distance and to gather momentum. All the while, Miser would prioritize on awareness and circumvention of any attacks.
