o.o well I guess I can post for Sayuri then lol

@Cal, so is Maggie already at the house or is she arriving there today? I was a little confused by your post as to where she was lol I thought maybe little G had gone to get her from town , but I might have just read it wrong. Lol if she's already at the house I suppose I can cook up a post for her ^^

@Crown, okay :) hope you have a good trip.

@Jynxii, well I had hoped that everyone would have been at Astley for at least a few days, Georgie is in town doing some work at the hospital in the town, helping with some of the wounded soldiers, so it's up to you where Marigold is, she could be with Little G if you like?

Magnolia* LOL You keep calling her Marigold haha it's so cute xD

And~ I think I'll have her with Georgie, actually.. Because that makes sense. Hoping to see a familiar face in the wards, you know? :3

I think it would be a good idea for Maggie to find Roman in the ward since he is still regaining his memory and whatnot. He could just be there for observation before they discharge him.

I finally posted for Sayuri. Sorry it's not as long or elegant as your post, Cal o.o I just didn't have much to say xD And I didn't want to ramble on and give everyone a lot to read for no reason. I hope it's alright, anyway. Feel free to call Sayuri back into the dinning room if need be. In my head I sort of pictured the living room being extremely close to the dining room.

@Scar, woop, woop! Not long to go :P btw I went to see Gatsby last night...OMG it was freaking amazing!! Leo is simply divine!!

@Jynxxi it s fine, it was a good post :) it was always going to be a little difficult to post since she'll mainly be around NPCs, I may create another character myself, a servant but I'll have to see if I can manage it :/ on a other note, I shall post for Georgie today :)

@Cal: Gatsby was simply magical, oh my God! Leo played a great Gatsby, in my opinion, and made him much more human than he appears in the book itself. Tobey was a superb Nick, too.

I'm hoping to post for Will soon, by the way, and have him end up in the dining hall with everyone else, if that's okay?

He really did! Me and my friend went out last night and after we had a few too many drinks (free bars are not a good idea) we were going around calling everyone 'old sport' like the way he does in the move, so embarrassing, haha. Oh god, when he broke that clock, I didn't stop laughing for like five minutes, for some reason I just found it so funny! Toby was a superb Nick, such a great cast! And I loved the soundtrack, had to download it when I got home :P

Yes, that's fine :) looking forward to your post!

I will definitely get a post up for Georgie today!

@Cal, just to clear up why Maggie would be going with Little G <3 In her profile it says she wants to become a doctor, and she's been in a boarding school earning her MD. ^-^

Here is a cool site I found that sorta gave me a timeline idea of where women stood in 1919 medical wise, and there were female doctors then. ^-^ I'm not a huge history buff, so I have to google these things lol

But anyway, yep. So Maggie would probably be doing some sort of internship for her school while visiting her family for winter and spring break. :3

Okay, well I'll have to edit Georgiana's post tomorrow, I didn't realise that she was on her way to becoming a MD, I just thought she had expressed an interest, so sorry. But can I ask, is Magnolia suppose to be American or British? I'm a little confused...

While the site you have given me is good, it is an American source, so it will be different for the British, as they weren't as eager to change their ways as Americans were. I will go over my history books in the morning at try to find some section on women in medicine, I don't remember much on my studies but I do remember women were actually excluded from most medical schools, so womens institutes were set up to further their education in the field. However, even if they did get to study, their was no guarantee of a job, their was extreme predujice at women in the workforce, especially in such specialist jobs such as medicine.

So, how far were you planning on having Magnolia into her studies? She's only 18, so I'm guessing she wouldn't have been in school long? Personally, I think it would be a little more realistic if she were just volunteering at the hospital, just helping with the nurses etc, but it's up to you at the end of the day, she is your character :)

@Cal: On this topic, I have a few questions about England in the 1920s since I'm from Pennsyalvania:

-No prohibition, right? I know that's a huge part of the American Jazz Era but, from what I know, the UK never had a prohibition period.

-How wild, compared to America, were parties in England? Like, were the 20s as crazy as they were over here?

Thought I should clear these up so I'm not sounding ignorant when I post :D

By the way, off topic here, but did you have names in mind for the Maxwell parents?

No, the UK never experienced a prohibition such as the US, although not for want of trying by some groups. Alcohol flowed freely and cheaply, their was a rise in alcoholism, mainly down to people trying to forget their troubles in the war. Nightclubs popped up all over the place and were hugely popular, especially with the rich and famous.

Well, Britian did mimick a lot of American culture at this time, flapper girls were a huge part of women social development, such as in America, we were heavily influenced by jazz, and intrigued by stories of gangsters and bootleggers. This excitement caused a wave of new possibilities, especially for younger generation (a lot of the older generations loathed these changes) like in American, as Nick Carroway says 'everything was bigger.' So yes get the right people and the parties were just as grand and as wild :)

Haha, no worries, so overall, Britian was very similar to America in this time period, if just a little more disapproving.

Hmm, no I've not really though about it, feel free to come up with something :)

Hey everyone, I know people are busy with exams and what not at the moment, so I don't want to push anyone to pst, but I would ask if you could drop a line in the OOC, it just eases my worries about this RP dying before we even get started! Thank you :)

O.O I was waiting on some other people to post, since I already posted for one character. I was going to give someone else, like someone from the other house or something a chance to post so I was holding off, because I didn't want it to be cal, me, cal, me, in the posting order o.o
