I'd assume that we can change their name. But considering that they have a small sense of who they are then it is a possibility that you could use the real character name.

I've rename my character though but I am sure it is allowed since we're also allowed to change their personality.

But yeah, that's just what I'd say. :3 Hopefully I helped out a little bit. :/
