Finally, I'm done with my character as well!

Since we have a small group of writers now I want to discuss something with you. Or it's more like I have two suggestions for you and I want to know what you all would enjoy more. This is a detective roleplay and I want everyone to feel like they are involved with the story so this is about how to tackle the cases and clues.

My first suggestion is that we discuss the cases before so everyone has a say in what is going to happen and everyone can, therefore, provide their own clues.

My second suggestion is that we can take turns to create the cases and the clues that can be found will be provided in the starting post where the case is introduced. After that, the one controlling the case can provide other clues by using NPC's (witnesses for example) or ask others to provide them if it aligns more with their position.
Look alive, Sunshine.

Hmm, both suggestions could be implemented, and if someone can't come up with a case due to lack of idea, or simply having too little time at the moment, such person could pass. - So that's a third suggestion I guess ^^

How the "pass" would work exactly, we can always work out now, or later. :)

Edit : Though fourth suggestion I'd like to give is : Making cases on the fly, the ones that won't be always solved. That way we can see how good we are at making cases, and two : it requires less planning, for the base of the said case is meant to be simple - just don't say that domestic violance is a simple case. ^^

P.S : "There's always a room for improvment."

Any of those sound good to me to be honest- if I'm up the walls with college I can't guarantee I'll come up with anything good but I'll try!

And Justin Case is on the case! Even though I'm still working at getting a suitable avatar for him.

As for how cases can go, we can discuss before hand on a general premise of a possible case file, and what the basic/beginning clues/details are, then have each character sort of break off and find out either a major clue or a number of minor clues on their own, just to have them add up together in the end, which could also expand into a possible hook on connecting other cases together on some sort of string/arc. Have collabs at certain times for the characters, perhaps?

Hi! I'm sorry I've been gone, the site was down yesterday so I couldn't post a reply when I wanted to and today there was a power failure so my whole town was completely shut down by the time I got home from work. Yep, I don't know why but it feels like I was hit by bad luck.

I've read your responses and let's try to discuss cases beforehand and thereafter break off and let everyone work their magic. That sounds like a good idea. I will present my idea for the first case in another thread dedicated to the cases. But before that, I would love it if everyone could just check in with each other and discuss what sort of relationship the character has with each other. The task force hasn't existed for years but I do want them to know each other a little so there are some dynamics other than "exploring each other" if you catch my drift?

I won't make a thread about it and you don't have to state it somewhere else I just want there to be some sort of idea what they feel about each other - if they are friends or foes.

About first case, kay.
About relationships : Kay, kay, but pms, here, or Pms and here?

I'm not sure if the site makes notifications for new threads that are created inside a roleplay anymore but if it doesn't: I have now made the case thread and introduced my idea.

Sure, do you have anything special in mind?

I'm about to start the roleplay soon but one more wouldn't hurt.

I was thinking a computer forensic specialist or a crime scene technician? If those don’t work and you want to have a specific role filled, I can’t take that too.

edit: was i the only one who couldn't log on for 2 days?

The site has been completely down for me since Tuesday so I haven't been able to answer yet.

A crime scene technician sounds like a good idea, you can have the multitask with some other profession if you want.

Also question remains - who is the culprit in the first case? ^^

Uh, heller there. If this is still alive, and if a spot is still open, could I possibly snag a spot? If not, that is entirely fine. I wouldn't be bothered with a no, seeing as how a team is already assembled. But, if it's a yes, my character would probably be a Offender Profiler, if that spot is not available, whatever spot you wish for me to have is perfectly fine. Again, if this is already dead or all spots are taken, I'll gladly bow out, and best wishes to ya'll.
