adding users to a private rp

hi hi,

not sure why, but me and a friend are having difficulties adding another friend to a private rp we made awhile ago. he just recently joined the site (like. today.) and we've been trying to add him in so he can view the rps via the ooc chat in each one, but it's not letting us. on my end, all i'm getting is this error: "Game Master (GM) Couldn't find that username." even though i've double checked it multiple times and i know i'm typing it in right.

to verify, the command is "/addGameMaster username", correct?

is there really no easier way to allow someone view of and access to a private rp on here?

the code ended up only working after the person had to have been active in some way, like making a character in an rp or making a universe or smth like that i think (possibly could be achieved by posting in forums too? but they hadn't done that) before the code would register them and allow them to be added.
