The DoBRP, CoTMRP, WRPG, are all examples of roleplayers on the Warcraft III Battlenet server, unbelievable as it is. These maps consist of many different terrains, including desert, space, sea, land, naval, demonic, barren, etc.

Heroes are made in accordance and units to aid the efforts of roleplaying, tints, graphics, effects are also made. These maps require an extremely high functioning computer, but it is worth it.

However, it has come to draw that these games become instead of "RP", computer technology. Where those who know how to tint objects, are considered "Pros". And those who do not, are yelled, "Noobs" even if their plots and characters are good.

It is unfortunate that many online "RPGs" have become like any other computer games, placing all the value in skills rather than the roleplaying element. I've seen Guild Wars do fairly well in terms of actual roleplaying -- but even still, it is difficult to play any online RPG without the interjection of out of character jargon.

Roleplaying in these realms has become nothing more than a character on screen. You focus on success; stats, skills, experience. There is no real personality or storyline behind an individual character, any longer. In the end, free form roleplay stands out, and will not fade so long as people are interested in "roleplaying".

Ya just so everybody can know. I usually from time to time get onto Warcraft 3 U.S.East server under the username of "WWW.Gwing.NET" to promote Roleplay Gateway. I usually Go for the Roleplaying games like WRPG And say everything I do.

I hope this is okay and if it is also okay I would let this out to the public of Just in case they did not want to make their own account.

Once again I hope this is okay.

Ya all of the RPGs and MMORPGs have completley dropped RPing. In fact on WoW I have found that on certain Roleplaying channels that people have completley dropped Roleplaying. I am a pure Roleplayer so they all seem like @@@@% ^%^%&!! to me. That is where I got my skills from because I often hated just walking around and talking like "Inc. mob!" so I turned my interest to Warcraft Roleplays.

RolePlayGateway is a site built by a couple roleplayers who wanted to give a little something back to the roleplay community. The site has no intention of earning any profit, and is paid for out of their own pockets.

If you appreciate what they do, feel free to donate your spare change to help feed them on the weekends. After selecting the amount you want to donate from the menu, you can continue by clicking on PayPal logo.
