Welcome to Me!

Eric the Red is the man and he caught up with me on the dumbspace. So here I am! It's been a year since I've had any RP and it's time to crack the metaphorical knuckles and dig in. I suppose I could introduce myself...

HELLO! My name is Serena, but since most Americans are too lazy to regularly pronounce a three syllable name, most call me Rini. I started my RP in the Vampire Tavern of the Teen section of the Yahoo! chat beginning in late 1995...before they had images for the smileys...yeah...I'm a loser... *cough cough* Anyhoo... The characters I've been known to play vary in age, size, race, and demeanor. From Atteema to Angelica Darkfire to Lilith to Ameria, I almost always play a female as that is the mind set that I understand the best (being a female and all...). But I have been known to have countless NPC's that are males...and sometimes I just really needed friends...like the infamous Maeroth Darkfire, Surreality, and so on.

On a personal note, I'm a single mom, 22 years old, living in Seattle with my three year old, some friends for roommates, in my new townhouse. I have been known to divuldge in childish behavior (think eating Doritos, drinking Pepsi, and playing Katamari Damacy until all hours of the night with eight other people just watching, laughing, and sharing), but, call me a hypocrite, I do not condone the childish behavior that all too often comes with RP people. So my public service announcement includes saying "Hello" coupled with "Let's have some fun!". I'm laid back enough to chill and have a good time, but please don't try and ruin it for me and (hopefully) other people who see the same thing I do in RP. I'm not going to try and act all badass like "OMG WTF!? If u fuk wit me i r newbsplooge on u!" but I will give credit where credit is due, and that credit might not always be the most attractive of things for those drama queens/kings out there who can't understand that this is a game meant for more than themselves.

Wow, that's quite an introduction, and one from quite a well-traveled RP'er no less. I'm very impressed, and at the same time, very very excited. You're good, very good, I can already tell.

But hi there, Serena. It seems that for some reason or another the welcoming committee here on RPGateway seems to have fallen apart without a few certain key people here keeping it in shape. Who those people are I won't mention, although I hear one of them is extremely handsome and his username starts with a 'K'.

All my ranting there aside, it's a pleasure to have you here. ^^ You likely won't have anywhere near as many questions as we usually get from new members (That is, if you end up having any question at all), so I'm gonna go ahead and say thanks for that in advance. But if you do happen to have any questions or comments or anything at all, which isn't a bad thing at all, don't hesitate to ask away. I'll do my best to get it taken care of for you (And if I can't or am not around, there's also a whole bunch of other staff that can do the same, although they do so with clearly with much less flair. <_<)

You seem like you'll fit in here just perfect. And if you're ever in a mood looking for childish behavior, check out the chat, where everybody's completely insane 24/7. ^_^ Well, not completely, but mildly at the least. Other than all that, just look around and post and enjoy yourself and all that good stuff.
