The glow of the still burning fire reflected from the sheen of the Tallgeese's armor. The occasional whining of metal errupted outwards from the movements of the suit as it turned away from the heap of scrap gundanium.
The soldiers, while still far enough away from the Tallgeese and the fire to prevent harm, still took refuge in the trees. The steps of the Tallgeese crushed any trees beneath it's feet as it returned back into the camp.
The soldiers stood from their places, all standing at full attention with a firm salute to welcome their peers and their Leader home from their victory. The Tallgeese settled once more in it's designated area, several mobile suit technicians advancing to begin the repairs and 'upgrades'.
The door that led to the cockpit area opened forth, producing the Leader as he stepped across it. His right hand reached out to the side, the zip line seeming to form into his grasp. A sudden leap from the cockpit sent the leader careening downwards by the tug of gravity, yet the tightened grip of his gloved hand would catch his weight and swing him widly outwards.
His grip released to drop him to the ground, his body tucking downwards into a crouch. He dropped his right hand, palm open and fingers spread, to the ground to assist his rise. The soldiers didn't bother to turn, yet stood as rigid as possible.
"At ease, men.", he spoke, causing each soldier to drop with their hands behind their back. The Leader turned away to face an officer as he ran up at his side. "Sir, your new recruit has arrived!", he had almost stammered.
"Tell him to report to my tent, immediately. We've wasted enough time with trivial battles.", he turned, cutting the officer off as he did all of the others. His hands swayed at his side as the cold stare of his eyes pierced all those that passed his path. He stepped past the folds of his tent, allowing them to easily glide from his shoulders as it shut behind him.
