WLTFUU: Back Again

Kyle was happy to be behind the camera again. He had felt too uncomfortable making those few broadcasts for Kim. It felt like ages, he was up there reading from the prompter. Now he was behind the camera again, smiling at Kim, who was giving him an exasperated look. He laughs and gives her a thumbs up. She rolls eyes and then stares straight into the camera as she was so use to doing.

TV programs were interrupted everywhere and were switched to Kim's broadcast.

"Kim Zainab, back from, the world news tour."

She could hear the people sigh with relief to see their familiar reporters face on the screen. They payed more attention than they usually did, seeing that she had acquired a few stern lines in her face, which told of what she has seen and ready to report.

"This weekend, the WLTFUU television station will have a 48 hours special focusing on many news stories; the current affairs with the colonies, developping dictatorship in Asia and the effects, the current state of the government of the Earth and the problems that are arising from dissappearing earth leaders. We apologize for this delay on news, I'm sure, there have been many mix facts on what is going on, BUT, as you know, WLTFUU is here to set them straight. We will also bring in a security specialist that will brief you citizens on defending yourselves for the current state of affairs.

This is Kim Zainab, back once again. Stay tuned, all this weekend for these special reports.

WLTFUU and Kim Zainab, signing off for now."

She had left them with those last lines about preparing for defense to stir up some commotion and curiousity in the people. She felt it was about time the people began to be aware of what was going on around them.

The program starts by showing many scenes from the battles fought in the last weeks; from the blow up in the African Nation to the surprise attack in the Asian and South American Nation. It then ended with a loud, gun shot and flying, red words slam on the screen. They read: “WLTFUU 48 hour news special!” Then the camera focuses on two women. One was Kim and the other another reporter who accompanied Kim in some of her journeys. They both turn towards the camera as the music died down. The other reporter begins.

"Welcome to our 48 hour special, focusing on our main reporter, Kim Zainabs, world news tour. I am Jane Mathison and I was with Kim when she was in Africa and North America. Well, lets get this started…Kim?"

Kim gave a stiff smile and nodded at Jane.

"Yes, lets. We begin our special in Africa. The shuttle has just crashed as was reported earlier by Kyle Matters and Binta had immediately launched a recovery of the shuttle and another reconstruction of the Lake Victoria site. The scene starts two hours after the crash, some of this may have been covered by the report earlier by Kyle Matters. Well…onto the footage."

The first part of the 48 hour special ended with a few short clips of the attack and the take over of the South American Nation.

The program reverts back to the two reporters. They both turn to the camera once again in that dramatic manner.

"The next part of the program will focus on what people are now referring to as the Asian Invasion. We shall start with the quick take over by Mr. Jyotika in the Asian Nation, the attacks after his take over and then end with the latest report on his seizing of the Sanc Kingdom. Now back to our programming."

After the many hours of broadcasting, the program reverts back to the two reporters who looked worn down from their special.

"We would like to end with a note asking our people, Where are our leaders? Where are our people? Where is the earth leader? What is going on in South America, Africa, Asia, and special reports are now saying Australia? It seems as if the earth cannot protect itself from the colonial invasion and internal invasion, but, citizens you can protect yourself. Here is Timothy Duff, security specialist with a few things to keep in mind in these times of trouble."

The camera zooms in on a short, medium built, sleek, bald man. He nodded at the two reporters who just stared blankly at him.

"A few things to do, seeing as I am told that my time is limited.

1. If you have children who are not the right age to fight, stay inside and protect them. Find a time to go out, do a lot of shopping and bar yourself in, possibly underground. No we are not being dramatic, just sensible.

2. If you do have teens or you yourself are in a fit mood, we plead to you to join a cause. There is only one side to choose, the earth's side. Put yourself out there!

3. New security systems should be built into business offices, houses, everywhere; underground shelters and the likes. If you can't fight, hide.

4. We also plead to businesses to give provisions to military personnel and to earth's leaders as they fight this war for us

5. Do something...just do something..."

He ended his dramatization with a stern look and with a quick licking of his lips. The camera then turns to the two reporters. Jane ends the program.

"Well...those are suggestions only. WE, want our citizens safe and WLTFUU will do that by the best way we know possibly, by reporting to you on the hour, every hour. This ends our 48 hours special. Wishing you a goodnight, Jane and Kim Zainab signing off."
