Alright idea: we all go on the titanpad and record our time zone and what times we can be on the pad, that way when we want to do joint posts it's super easy to coordinate and super easy to edit if our schedule changes on the daily/weekly/monthly basis

for instance i've put up:
Madame's Time Zone: Pacific Time Zone/UTC-08:00, on 11am-1:40pm & 11pm - however long she's crazy enough to stay up for. Has a day off tomorrow 1/11.

and week by week i dont know when my days off are gonna be or if i even want to sit on the computer that day (who am i kidding i do this everyday but) and I can edit as necessary on the daily.

Hey babes, sorry I've been quiet. I usually write on Mondays since they are my day off, but I was offered a trip to the city to traverse bookshops and, long story short, I have books now. Books are important to me.

Anyways, I've added my time zone to the thing, and hopefully I will have a post up soon. Thank you for your patience, heart emoji, etc.

On a more serious note, yeah, maybe I'm just used to all this roleplay inactivity after roughly six years of it. Or maybe I was jaded all along, who knows. Anyway, madame, the decision is all yours. I'd be more than happy to help you set up a fourth rendition, but I can see why you wouldn't.

What was that quote again? Insanity is doing to same thing over and over again, expecting different results?

I don't know, it seems a little embarrassing to be so persistent but who am I trying to impress on the internet anonymously anyway? The only thing is, how can I set it up in a way that perhaps makes things better? I thought a skeleton crew and having fewer people would make things work pretty well maybe. But really, two people drop out and it derails the whole thing. So that doesn't necessarily work. Perhaps vetting better? Any suggestions?

I think the skeleton crew works just fine, and personally I prefer working on a smaller scale anyway. Besides, whether you work with a group, small or larger, you'll always end up running the risk of losing a few. You could also make it a sandbox-y type of roleplay, but it'd lose the personality and neat little side-story vibe it has now. It would lessen the damage control when someone eventually tosses themselves out the window.

Personally I can't think of anything that should be done differently. A sandbox-y type of roleplay would perhaps attract more people but like Byte says, it could lose a lot in the process. Unfortunately, roleplays dying is very common on this site, and I have yet to discover a good way to prevent it, outside either being willing to ignore players disappearing or having infite patience.

I think the only issue was perhaps bad timing with the first couple of versions. I mean you got feedback from Remæus which is quite impressive.

As Crichton says RPs tend to die on this site almost constantly and it's very rare to see any progress outside of the first round of posting, if they even make it that far.

Though given that all but one of you appear to be active and present, why exactly is this RP dying? And I'm mainly just lurking because its what I do when I'm bored.

Well I'm surprised Crichton appeared, maybe Mrfox will too? That was the inactive half I was referring to.

Literally the one I just joined right now has a message in the ooc that the GM has to shut it down. We just started oh my god.

Let me give this some time and also I'm going to be setting up a pirate rp of my own. I'm getting pretty tired of the drama and general over-sizedness of wayfarer. That's not to say I'll quit that rp, but I won't be relying on it for my pirate adventure fix anymore.
