Long removed from our memories, either for our protection, or by grand design; this land glimmered like sun reflecting off the vast sea.

In that age peace and harmony seemed to fill the very air. War, hate, and destruction were not even concepts in the minds of the inhabitants.

Magic was common place practice, used to aid one another, in times where shear strength, will, or ingenuity wasn't enough.

Like any worldly force, there are factors involved. Steps leading up to cause and effect, not to mention unseen circumstances.

Seemingly inconsequencial; like pebbles dropped in the ocean, it builds and builds over the eons until the first glimpse appears from beneath the surface.

From nearly the beginning of man's personal journey, long before the rise and fall of the spire of bable, there have been those that observe and record ... the same holds true for magic, how else can one pass on what they have learned.

Thinking, observing, scrying, the world for signs and omens, keeping an eye on the physical domain of man.

Sages, old and wise masters, must still interpert facts laid out before them, and as with anything held to interpertation beliefs differ.

Three "true" manuscripts survive to this day, 2 that man know, or should I say have a primative knowledge of, The Codex Giga , The Grand Grimoire ,(both semi-translated versions mortals think they know), and the last has no name just a symbol.

Their location was a well guarded secret that I, and 4 others knew; We are the last of those from that era still left on this plane, eternal ethereal beings now, we can not even record or share what we know, but there was a time, yes a time.

I have been writing different things from short stories, mini players and sometimes just loony things that pop up into my head for years now. Maybe its time i shared such a skill with others and begin utilizing all these years of experimenting into a true project.

The problem with publishing freely is the copyright issues you could get one day if someone steals your story |:
I thought before about publishing some of mine on websites such as fanfiction but I became aware of this fact and I instead published in real life after I got my copyright =)

I'm a published author, soon to have two published. It's not like what I dreamed it would be, you know? The deadline was stressful and I was scared my work wouldn't be good enough to go big. It hasn't yet. I don't know: publishing isn't all it's cracked up to be guys.

Interestingly I heard that nowadays things like Lord of the Rings wouldn't be published easily. It seems that publishers want low-risk certain type of beginning stories, which, while understandable from the financial perspective, still is bad for creativity. Some, including me, actually like LotR style slow beginnings with lots and lots of backstory.
