For those of you who want to join here it the OOC

The Story So Far

The year is 2015. America is nothing but a desert wasteland as far as anyone can see. The rivers and lakes dried up years ago. There is nothing left of the once proud country. In the year 2009 a nuclear war broke out destroying more than 60% of the world population. A-bombs fell from the sky at every angle destroying flesh and building alike. In his unsurmountable anger, god unleashed his wrath upon the now corrupt world. Angels of death and fury rained there holy flame unto the world.

Image

In the year 2011 the Anti-Christ made himself apparent. His intentions unhidden... The World didn't have a chance. He reduced entire cities to rubble, leaving any that still believed and held faith full to the one true god and unimaginable pain and anguish.

Image

Then the devil unleashed his demonic minions and the war between good and evil begins, with what was left of the human race caught in the middle, but not without hope. Something had changed in some of them, they had evolved, they could do things all others thought amazing or terrifying. The old humans were now obsolete.

Year 2013, the Anti-Christ disappears. Everyone thinks the savior is here. The Anti-Christ is gone, no one knows where he is, is he dead? Is he hiding from god? No one knows, but the war is still far from over, neither side good nor evil wants to give any land to the other side.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The thunderous roar dies down, leaving behind the fallen, now food for the carrion eaters. Evil stands triumphant, the last great stronghold of good lay in waste, the survivors scattered. In the calm after the storm, they stir; to finish off the wounded and cement their domination; to gather their strength and turn near destruction into victory, each side struggles. The evil gloat, even more hungry, now that they can see the end in sight. The good despair, many wondering if they have been forsaken, if the enemy can be vanquished after all that has happened.

The quiet pervades, but on one side it is intertwined with an eagerness, and on the other, a sense of foreboding. With every advantage, everything on their side, will evil grow overconfident and careless? With nothing to lose, and nowhere to turn, will good harness what remains of their strength, and strike at the right time and in the right way?

Rancid air swirled about her slender form, the shadow like wings loomed behind her, their feathers ruffling in the wind. Shadows moved over her skin, even though there was nothing to cast shadows over her out here, on one of the decimated hills that was stripped of grass. It was bald beneath her boot-covered feet, bits of dust swirling up her legging clad legs. Tendrils of black hair wove around her body, shrouding the pale statue-like girl from view in a mass of writhing black.

Slender digits where curled around a time glass which glowed with a muted blue light- someone's soul fragment was locked within the glass. With a tightening of those pale appendages she could free the soul to it's rightful place, be it heaven or hell. Red eyes looked heaven words, the lines upon the small girl's face growing deeper, a bit of sorrow settling over her. She knew that He was always with her, that He loved her but. .

Glancing at the city before her, laying in it's twisted ruin, a shadow of it's former beauty made despair well up in her heart. He had sent them to help this place, to convert sinners to believers, to grasp their soul and give it up to him, to save this world from becoming a cesspool of sin, or bitterness. A sharp pain ran through her chest, the shadows weaving up her bare arms to disappear under her clothing- helping to form the disguise she donned upon entering the human world and working their, trying to help. To stop the war from taking even more souls then it had already.

The shadows melded into her skin, forcing it to be a bit lighter- more human. Her hair continued to be black, but lost it's obsidian gleam and her eyes turned silver with only a bit of crimson flecks. It was time to return to work, to play, and to pretending. Dear Lord in heave, watch over us, His children. Help them with the things they will face, the temptations will cross.

Nyx sighed softly as she stood looking out at the dry barren land. Her pale blonde almst white hair swirled around her dust coating the tips. Her bright white wings were spread out behind her flapping in the dusty wind. Her shinnigh blue eyes scanned her surrondings. The butterflies swirled around her she smiled at them as they tickled her nose slightly. She hated what had become of the earth it used to be so peaceful and bearable but now it was infested with demons and corupt humans.

She his presence next to her and nodded her head slightly. She started to walk forward toward the city she was assigned to watch. Her eyes scanned the city and she noticed that it was infested with angels and demons and sighed that meant that sooner or later their would be fighting and she hated fighting.

Her form started to shift her pale blonde hair lost its glow and now was just a pale blonde. Her blue eyes were darker and not so bright. Her white wings shifted into her form disappearing from sight all that was left were a few small white feathers. She said a small prayer to her father to help her resit the temptation that this mission would hold.
The soul would have no rainbow had the eyes no tears.

Keiter.

Tick-tock goes the clock, as the timebomb chimes for life.

He appeared, a shadow of a shadow among the nothingness. His mask was prevalent even in the dusk, in the light that lied. The chain lay in a loose circle, the blade gripped tightly in his hand. Corpses lay around him, heavenly bodies that had not compared to the endless black hole that he represented. Light could not escape his grasp - he pulled it in with an astound gravity that transcended God's rays. He could see, even as the pitter-patter of the rain nullified the perfect silence that had set upon him. Ichor had been shed, ichor of His servants, and the sizzle as it melted into the cracks of a ruined Earth, leaving him alone. Their bodies evaporated into the aether, letting him rot in the sibilance. Keiter let a burst of hellfire engulf him, casting off the precipitation as unholy flames made them dissipate.

The Cheshire Cat can grin, but never will it sin...

The pale light cast an eerie shadow on the carnage that had been demonstrated here. Burning flesh remained, a testament to some demons' prowess. The Prince of Morning himself had made an appearance here, in the form of a guiding light that had reinforced them all. That was all. Even the conquest of the Light's final stand hadn't been enough to spark even the Anti-Christ, much less Satan himself. It was something of a shame that even Keiter had been dispatched here, but his superiors had decided not to make an appearance. He deeply desired to be recognized by them, for even as a Demon of Darkness he seemed to escape notice.

The clock breaks, and time does too.

Keiter didn't like it here. Nothing seemed constant; the Light would regroup, he thought, and launch some sort of counterattack. It was always that way, never a pause, never a chance for respite. His enemies did not seem to want to fade into nonexistence - even the Devil desired peace, albeit he also hungered for domination. Keiter, though, was just a humble emissary of his will. The adamantine sickle hung at his side, and he knew no enemy would dare try to kill him here... it just wasn't likely. There were none save God Himself who could destroy him right now.

Waves of ambition threatened to make him drown, but he held them back. The hellfire left him, and for the first time in a long one, Keiter was very, very tired.

He's happy now. Or is death the end of the dream? Is it a failure of hope?

Kabul Lorie

The city, the land and air where still in pain, each held a scar that could be seen for miles. The land was ravished by battle and death. The city was in turmoil and each building lay crumbling and battered. The skies where ashen and dark, ash scattered in the wind as a reminder of what had happened. The birds of prey did not have to search long for food. Bodies lay in the street and under fallen debris. Wild animals roamed ally ways and parks. The world was crying and the demons where raping and destroying the beauty of the material world.

The city seemed deserted where he stood in wait. The street he watched had bodies laying every where. Vultures flew above and the ones who where below feasted upon the bodies below him. Kabul stood on top of a building that was twenty stories high up. His left hand gripped as he stood in unease. He was alone on Harbor street, nothing moved, nothing stirred but animals. His robes rippled as a small gust of wind blew past him. The world had turned for the worst when the beast had come. World war had brought the world almost into it's extinction.

The demons had taken the last headquarters that the mortals had. This was sad to hear about, humans now where spread out alone and vulnerable. But there where those select few who had special guns that could harm angels and demons alike. That was upsetting to know also, if a human tried to harm him he would have to either flee or fight until the human submitted and left him alone. That was not a problem for him, but other angels could get harmed or even worse killed by a arrogant human.

His Amber hues would drift up the street towards some thing moving slowly in a group. Five shadows moved slowly down the street looking around and motioning orders. A small band of human soldiers had made it alive in some far off base. The captain of the small group was not hard to miss. He was a tall and bulky man with a shade of grey in his hair. Turning towards them he would watch as they searched dead bodies for valuable items. The birds that where feasting on the dead would flee as the men got close. That was a bad signal already for these men, they would signal a demon or some other abomination to come after them.

((This post is slightly gory. Tell me if it's too much and I'll change it. Lokintr's a demon, by the way. If you don't understand what's going on read his profile on the OOC ... I was trying not to be that explicit. :L))

He didn't even know who she was. Just a bit of fun.

Lokintr licked his lips, drawing his tongue across the few tantalising drops of blood that remained there. Kneeling, he ran his tongue up her arm, up a twisting sanguine rivulet that streamed down from a thin cut across her palm. She stirred feebly, trying to escape his touch. Lokintr was vaguely amazed that she was still alive. The coppery taste was sharp and light in his mouth; the smell filled his nostrils, making him light-headed with longing. Letting her arm fall, he slid his lips up over her shoulder to the slender, white column of her neck. His eyes gleamed red with anticipation.

The flood of her blood was incredible considering the wounds she had already sustained. It flooded across Lokintr's chest, bright scarlet and delicious. He stood up, his lip curling with disdain. She looked so pathetic now, broken, bloody, her perfect white skin totally ruined. He grabbed a bottle of vodka from where it lay on the bed and poured it over his chest, washing off the blood. He took a swig, his expressionless eyes still fixed on the body. The alcohol did nothing to him. It was like water.

He fetched his jacket and pants from where they lay on the floor, underneath his chain-blade. As he put them on, he continued staring at the naked girl on the bed. Sometimes he questioned his motives, but then he remembered how much of a callous bastard he was and went back to the vodka. He turned to leave, then, as an afterthought, started swinging the chain in a large circle. With a nonchalant flick, the harsh, spiky blade on the end swung down, cutting straight through girl, bed, and floor. A smile twitching at his lips, Lokintr left.

Outside the appartment was a ruined hallway, gaping holes in the floor and the ceiling. Most of the other appartments were deserted or home to reclusive drug addicts and pious freaks. Lokintr loped easily down the corridor, to a massive gap in the wall, open to the outside. He gazed out over the ruined city, noting the flying sentients hovering over, and the humans that remained living there. With his vodka in hand, he sat with his legs dangling over the edge, and relaxed. Existence is good. He grinned.

"Damn it how the hell did they find us here" is all she can think about as she runs down the dry sewers under the ruins of the city. Not only did they destroy her home but the Para-Hunters are now scattered if not dead. She makes a turn and jumps onto a ladder. She claimbs up and stops before she gets to the sewer top above. She pulls out her gun, one of two. This one made to banish demons. With a breath she pushes the top off.

She glances around at the ruins, it looks clear to her. The buildings, burnt, charred, half destroyed or leaning to the point if another building wasn't there it would fall. It hurts her heart. " If the angels wasn't here... the demons would go away. Why can't they fight on thier own realms." She pulls herself up out of the sewer hole and makes a dash for an ally.

When she makes it, the upsidedown cross on her left wrist starts glowing bright red. She cocks her gun with a frown. " I banished enough of you horned assed hell spawns, one more wouldn't hurt." She glances around and creeps down the ally. " I have to get to check point 5... the hunters maybe amassed there.'

She jogs almost silently, hiding in the shadows of torn buildings when she has to or finds a demon to big to banish with one of her bullets made with holy water in the middle and coated in liquified angel feathers. The rune markings on them also help send the demons back. On her away down a small section between the buildings she runs into two minor demons eating on a human body.

She tilts her head as she aims and... BANG BANG, the bullets fly smashing into the occupied demonlings. "Imps..." She eyes her surroundings to make sure none of the bigger demons are around then continuies on her way to the check point "Someone has to be alive, anyone" She stops in the shadow of a department store. She spots a car that could be working, she crouches and waits to see whats going on.

(This post is very graphic due to language.)

Angel danced the flame between his fingers. He had a thing for playing with hell fire. You could say he was a pyro of sorts, or just a demented fuck. He closed his hand and the flame went out, burning his hand slightly. He opened his hand and the wound flared up in hellfire and healed itself. "Damn, that never gets old." he said to himself. He turned to Kima. "Now what? It's almost boring as hell up here. Pardon the analogy." he said watching her eyes as he mentioned Hell. He started rolling the hellfire between his fingers again. To experiment he took out a blade and cut off his hand. His eyes widened as the stub flared up in flames and a hand replaced itself. "Well. I didn't know I could do that. I'm afraid to try it with my head though." he had discovered he could heal himself. He turned to Kima again. This time asking: "What are supposed to do now? With the anti-christ gone what are supposed to do, wage pointless war? It's stupid. We need to do something about this!"

The humans had made it down the street before a Demon showed up. Now things where getting interesting, thought Kabul as he stared. The demon took his time killing the humans as they tried to flee. The fight only lasted a few minutes before it was all over. Now it was Kabul's turn for the fray, jumping down off the roof he would land on the street and appear visible to the humans, demons and other angels."it is time" is all he had to say as he got into his fighting stance. The demon was of a lesser races, maybe the 7th layer of hell the top of the lesser sins. Kabul waited as the demon sized him up.

Three minutes passed as he stood there his emotions hidden inside him. His face like obsidian, he portrayed no true feelings to his enemy. Then the Demon took charge and ran towards him in a berserker rage. He just stood there as he waited for the traitor got closer for a fatal blow. The Demon continued to get closer with every breathe he took, then finally he didn't have to await any longer.Kabul's right hand shot towards his Samurai sword, as he drew it he would swing the blade vertically on the demon. Taking a moment to swing the blade around his wrist, the blood would fall off the sword. Then sheathing it he would turn around, when he turned his back on the demon, it would split in two halves. The top part of it fell from the right shoulder to the left hip. Walking away he spoke loudly so any one hiding could hear."The dance of battle is always played to the same impatient rhythm. What begins in a surge of violent motion is always reduced to the perfectly still."

Lokintr twitched. A lightning-quick streak of pain flashed across his chest, like a red-hot wire being drawn across his skin. His hand flexed involuntarily and the vodka bottle slipped from his grasp. It tumbled down, somersaulting and flashing red in the sunset, the liquid inside spilling out like molten diamond. He grimaced; he had been enjoying that. Massaging his chest, he stood, brushing plaster dust from his clothes.

The stairs were crumbling and broken like the rest of the building. Lokintr descended slowly, watching clouds of dusts swirl around his boots with each step. He ducked under a loose clump of wires hanging precariously from a hole in the ceiling, one or two still sparking feebly, and reached the decrepit foyer. He ignored the broken revolving door and instead climbed a loose pile of rubble and through a massive hole in the wall, out into the open air.

One of us is dead, he thought, staring up at the skeletal tenements and skyscrapers. The sky visible was grey, choked with smog and permanent dark clouds, remnants of celestial wars. His eyes picked up several flying beings among the clouds, though they were too far away to discern whether they were angelic or demonic. Turning away from the sky, he strode off down a deserted boulevard.

She looked left, then turned her head right. Natasha hasn't spotted any demons worth worring about. She came from between the buildings with her gun drawn. With a sprint she got to the car, without a thought she broke the glass out the driver side window and unlocked the door. She slides into the car... no keys. "And this great... and they said god is with us." She rolled her eyes as she riped away the cover around the ignition. She pulled the wires.

"Red, Blue, Green ummm Yellow? I knew I should have paid attention to Zak." She leaned back in the seat to rest a second. "Damn angels... I swear they brought the demons here... not the other way around." She looked down at the wires an grapped a hand full of them.

Her eyes jumped to the rearview mirror. A giant demon is down the street. It hasn't noticed her yet, but as her luck is going, it'll be on her ass in a few minutes. "Great." She started twisting this wire and that while keeping an eye on her surroundings. "Start baby start." The car engine cames to life "YES!" She mashed the gas and throws a middle finger out the window.

"Now to find somebody... maybe they'll be able to tell me where the hunters are... atleast a damn soldier" She pulled off.

In the middle of the, never ending, desert, wasteland, a small, white, sphere appears, that is continuously growing. The sphere stops growing around the time it becomes the size of a old, coke machine. Once the white sphere stops growing, the light, with a intensity of a 100 suns, that becomes a giant beam, into the heavens, descends a angelic creature. This creature is the one of Gods generals, in this celestial, war between Heaven and Hell, which will decide the existence of everything within the three realms.

Kima, when she finally reaches her destination, is still bewildered at the devastation God, in his rage, and the Anti-Christ left upon this once proud land. There is nothing left to marvel at, besides the amazing wastelands, and endless deserts, that have taken this glorious land.

Once she regains focus, she sets out on her absolute goal, given to her by God. She is to find the one Mutant that will finally end this war. The Mutant will have the one power, that is the weakness of the Anti-Christ, and then the Angles, and whoever else who wishes to help, will take down the devil, who once was a Angel.

Finally able to stretch her wings, she begins to spread her long, white, wings, as she takes off in a full sprint, headed for a massive canyon in the earth. When she reaches the ledge, she launches herself off, with all the power of her muscular legs, soaring into a face first dive, before flapping her wings and taking off, for the city, that she was told the Mutant would be.

Natasha looked into her rearview then as her eyes jumped back to the road a shadow passes over her. She stopped the car on a dime. "Damn!!" She jumped out the car and rolled across the ground into firing postion. An enormous bird like demon landed on the car smashing it to bits. "They should get thier pets on a leash."

When the birdish demon craned its neck her way she pulled the trigger twice. The bullets entered the same eye, the demon had let of a high screech that made her cover her ears. She turned and ran down an ally as the demon took to the skies. "Where is god now?"
She keeps her eyes up for the dark sky.
