Sunset.
Vatican City, Rome.

The sunset shone through the open blinds of one of the windows that lined the sides of the second-story passageway. The deep navy blue curtains that were held back by a thick golden cord allowed just the right amount of light into the hall, so that the figures pacing it's length would be capable of seeing their surroundings. A group of figures traversed the Hall, approaching the ensuing room with haste, their urgent footsteps bordering on a speedy pace, and the tension that they felt was catching. The first of the figures had neared the end of the Hallway, and signalled to the Guards in front of the door. The two guardians bowed slightly, and then pulled open the double-doors, which allowed a bright, and certainly unnatrual light to shine through. The group of people entered the room, and the door was shut, and locked, behind them. Unknown to them, a few meters away, crouching on the edge of a pillar and partially cloaked in the ensuing darkness, were a pair of glowing, icy blue eyes. A mouth appeared, showcasing a grin that would've extended beyond the cheekbones of any mortal man. The teeth were mostly straight and human-like, but the canines were far too long, and they seemed to be growing even longer every second, glinting dangerously in the last rays of the Sun.

"Yes, my Father, they have arrived under the protection of the Sun, but their shield is already falling, and soon, so shall they. At least, the more powerful ones shall, as is your bidding, my Father".

The mouth and eyes disappeared, and the sound of many ravens crowing, and many wings flapping, was heard, and a small bird-like creature flew toward a window on the side of the Building.

-------------------

Inner Sanctum.

A fist banged down on the table, sending a shockwave through the wood and causing a few of the items to fall off and smash onto the floor, spreading glass and other sharp objects spraying across the ground. The long, blonde hair of the agitated male to whom the fist belonged was in dismay, as if he had recently been attacked, or at least frightened out of his wits.

"I demand that we follow through with the plan! Who knows what may happen if we wait, the Devil may be raising his army already, and a portal to Gehenna, Erebus, Purgatory, whatever it is you wish to call it, may be openeing as we speak. The Devil's messenger spoke as if the fight was already beginning!".

"Hush, Arthur. Anger and chaos are just what our enemy wishes for us to have. We must be patient, and wait until the time is right. When we know our opponents weaknesses, then we may attack".

The man raised his head, eyes sparkling with anger. He blinked a few times and coughed, finally bowing his head in submission and muttering an apology. The two were located far underneath the actualy Vatican City ground level, completely and utterly secured from almost any assault from enemies. At least, that was what they thought they were, until the door flew open and a flock of crows rushed into the room, carrying the bodies of the dead guards and mutilated corpses of the common populace. A gasp arose from the people in the room, but Arthur barely noticed them. He was focused on the humanoid figure in the midst of the flock of crows. The figure's peircing blue eyes bore into his soul, and the talons that the figure possessed, along with the maniacal grin and the pointed teeth all caused the alarm bells in his head to go off faster than they ever had before. He glared at the monster, and, with a loud roar, unsheathed his blade and lunged. He was sure that he had managed to hit his opponent, and he grinned savagely, until he realised that he was being lifted off of the ground, held up by the talons that had speared themselves through his chest. He locked eyes with the Demon, who grinned a soul-shattering grin, and it finally gained a more suitable form. Arthur saw red as a talon scratched across his face, blinding him in the left eye. He was thrown mercilessly against the wall, causing stone to crumble down onto his body, and as his consciousness faded, one sentence repeated in his mind.

"My Master is rising, and his Children will soon join him".

Current Day
12 O' Clock, Noon.
'Warriors of the Divine Light' Central Headquarters.
Vatican City, Rome.

A lone man sat in his Chair, his cold eyes surveying the area before him, watching as the man before him stood and left the room. His one good eye focused on the man as he left the room, and as the sound of the door closing heard him, he closed both of his eyes. A man appeared from the shadows beside him, and spoke into his ear.

"Sir, we have located all of the Children, we think it would be best for us to bring them here immediately".

The man in the Chair rubbed his brow, and spoke.

"Yes, but certain arrangements have been made. I will inform you of them later. For now, find the Children, and bring them to me".

Hello!

I'd just like to thank those of you that have read through the entire Introduction and have managed to stay awake, or have just skipped the entire Introduction and come to this Section. Anyways, I guess I'll cover the basics of this Roleplay here.

-------------------------------------------

Synopsis: Basically, there are a group of Seven Kids that, although they're not related via Family, they all have the blood of the Devil in them, which I'll go into further detail about later. Basically, they're all taken to a certain place and then the Devil shows up and a few choices are made. Some of the Children decide to go with the Devil, and others choose to oppose Him.

The first posts will be of your arrival in the Hall of the Warriors of Divine Light, which is located in Rome.

----------------------------------------

The Devil's Blood!

The Blood of the Devil runs through your veins, and sure, that's cool and sweet and awesome and all, but, erm... just what does it do, exactly? Well, I'll tell you what it does!

Basics: Since you have the Blood of the God of all Demon's inside of you, when you activate your Powers, your appearance will change slightly. Your ears will grow and appear pointier, and your canine teeth will seem ever so slightly longer than a normal person's. You also may, or may not, grow a Tail, although Tails are usually only given to males, they can still appear on females. You will be stronger than normal humans, and slightly faster as well, you can see in the dark and your wounds will heal fairly quickly, but more advanced Demons can heal almost instantly. Holy Water will suddenly be the Kryptonite to your Superman, the Garlic to your Vampire, your mortal enemy. Although it won't harm you as much as full-blooded Demons, it'll still blind you temporarily, and also revert you to your Human form. Keep in mind, these are the powers you have all the time, even in your normal, Human Form.

Demonic Transformations: Aah, now we're onto the good stuff. When you sign up into the Academy, if you decide to, that is, your Demon Powers will be sealed either inside you, or inside an object. This means that you can only use your powers when you draw the Weapon or when you decide to. Unfortunately, if you have a bout of strong emotion, or somebody else forces you into your Demon Form, you can transform, even without drawing your weapon, consciously unleashing your powers, etc. When you transform, you new form, if any, is completely dependant on your Character, so in OOC Langauge, it's whatever you want it to be, Mr or Mrs Author! So go wild, just not too wild. We don't want any ten story behemoths. Certain Characters are exempt from this rule though, such as the full-demons, and the 'Kings'.

Primary, or 'Major' Powers: Contrary to popular belief, it's only the lower class Demons that have one Major Ability. Most Demons have none, some have one, but the King Demons and their Higher Class Children can have at least three majors. These can range from flame manipulation, to summoning lesser Demons or Familiars. Go nuts, but I'll tell you if they're too out there or not. Note, these can only be used in your Demon Form.

Secondary, or 'Minor' Powers: The majority of these are the same as Primary Powers, you just don't have as much control over them as you do your Primary Powers. You can have a Primary Power as a Secondary Power as well, if you want. The only difference between these and Primary is that these are usable in your Human Form, they're just weaker.

Control: Yes, at one stage or another, your Powers may or may not take control of you, and if they do, a squad will be sent to calm you down. If you aren't working for the Warriors of the Divine Light (WDL), then you're on your own. If you're calmed down, your powers will increase dramatically, or you could easily lose them all. It's a win-lose situation. So be cautious.

--------------------------------

The WDL

The Warriors of the Divine Light, or the WDL for short, are a group of people, mostly pure-humans, who have devoted themselves to eradicating the Demon menace and either subduing or destroying the Devil and his Spawn. Think of them as Exorcists, Lightbringers or just general people who are tired of the Demonic occupants and their cultures. The majority of the people that work here have had past experiences with Demons, and have gained a reason to hate them with all of their being, or they are just there so that they may learn to better defend themselves in the case of a Demon attack. The Warriors of Divine Light are a very complex organisation, with numerous Ranks, within certain Divisions, or State Branches. Each Country has it's own Branch, from Japan to Canada, Australia to Brazil, there will be at least one Branch of the WDL, so that they may ensure Worldwide Protection for the Human Race.

There are numerous aspects of the WDL, one being that they have a very unique defence system, which just happens to be in the form of a Maze created by the Pope Himself. By fusing magic into certain objects, and having them open doors that other objects cannot, all of the Branches are protected by this Maze, and the only person who can open every door is the Pope Himself.

Now I will go through the Ranks. There are quite a lot of ranks in the WDL's Organisation, but the ones that I'll list are the ones that you will find in this Roleplay, such as the Esquire and Holy Knight.

Here's a few, in order from lowest to Highest.

Recruit
Esquire
3rd Class Exorcist

Here is where the Branch out, you have several theoretical 'Job's or 'Classes' to choose from, such as Knight, Gunner, Enchanter, Healer, etc.
--------------------

Okays, so this is what I've gotten so far. Feel free to ask questions or send me Messages, the Roleplay will be out soon, so I'll notify those interested via Reply or PM.

Thanks again for taking the time to read this, I look forward to possibly Roleplaying with you. There's more to come as well!
