Have you ever met someone that you couldn't stand? Someone that you absolutely could not be in the same room with? Well, what if that person wasn't the person you thought they were? What if they were actually supposed to be the one made for you? But you didin't realise it until the very last minute. Well, that was the situation with Damien Heart and Holly Sparks. You see Damien was a pure-blood, raised to believe that he was better then everyone else. That he and his family were the best in the wizarding world. He belived that all Muggle-borns, and even some half-bloods were what he called "bellow him." Holly on the other hand was the complete opposite. She was a muggle-born. She was raised in a society that was kind and understanding. She didn't think it mattered what your status was. Whether you were a muggle-born or a pure-blood, it shouldn't matter. She was completely happy with who she was.

When they go to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Holly was placed into Griffendor, and Damien was placed into Slytherin house. Holly and Damien have seen each other before, been in the same clases together. Holly can't stand Damien at all. She thinks that he is a spoiled brat thats not worthy of anyones friendship or affections, and Damien thinks that Holly is completely beneath him. Until one day when they get stuck together as partners and have to get to know eachother better. And when they do spend time together, they learn that their not so different.
