The year is 2048.

Man has changed greatly. The world lives on genetically engineered food, limitless power, and a wealth of health care that can cure literally anything thrown at it. People with missing limbs walk with mechanical ones and tiny machines circulate in the blood cleaning organs and doing work that other organs cannot such as cleaning the lungs or even helping to filter blood. People live longer because of this, with the average life expectancy at 104 [Globally]. There are no illnesses, no diseases, the number of children born with disabilities has gone down to one in one trillion.

Recently scientists have constructed a large 300 foot device that will, in theory, be able to instantly teleport objects to limitless distances. The device consists of two large pylons standing 100 meters apart, with an identical set in Alaska. The tests will be carried out a week from today [[The beginning of the roleplay, whenever we start]] and hopefully, if tests go well, it will be used to transport people all over the world.


Of course... who's to say it will go well?

Short Bio:Born in Newville Boston,Entered the United Statres military service when he was 18,Promoted to the Rank of LT.Colonel at the age of 26.He was recommended for this..test due to his Bravery in the field and his skills as a Commando

Occupation: LT.Colonel in the US army.

Name: Acuel Citric (A-see-oo-l Sih-ter-ic)

Age: 23

Description: Tall and well built, is the basic way to describe his stature. He is tall, however not a "twig", nor a mass of pure muscles. As for tall, he is 6" 1'. Although that is tall by our standards, not so much in the future. He has violet-blue eyes, and smooth blond hair, which is mildly long, and somewhat thin. His shoe size is 11, and the casual normally consists of a white jacket, well fitted and made out of an almost plastic and furry material, as is somewhat popular with the day's styles. He usually wars a dark green shirt under it, with simple gray pants, with the same material of his jacket. His shoes are simply red sneakers.

Short Bio: Born in England, but raised in San Fransico. His family moved soon after his birth, prefering to see the ocean. Oddly, Acuel has come to despise the ocean, along with all deep water.
His family, having always loved the written word, has caused Acuel to become a writer. His most popular book, titled Birth of Anstul, is about the destruction of the Earth. In it, basically, the survivors move on to settle a new planet. In short. Though not a best seller, it gives him a decent income. To max this out, he is also a city repair man. As in, he helps in keeping things like elevators, sinks, trains, bridges, ect, working.
Acuel enjoys riding on his white bullet bike, writing, fixing things, food(specifically pizza), soda, not being in the ocean, road trips, learning new things, and trying new things. He dislikes water, being sleepy, getting up early, thirst, most people, fixing toilets, and flying. Currently, he resides in an appartment building, on the third floor.
