Other aspects of your general appearance: Nathanial is a man who has prospered in the colder climes and his appearance reflects his continuing vitality even at forty years old. He still has a full head of hair though it is starting to silver at the edges. He is a lean man, not particularly broad or overly muscular but there is a wiry strength to him. His hair is worn longer than is fashionable reaching past his shoulders. His face is quite harsh and weathered in appearance and his skin is tanned a dark colour from the amount of time he spent out of doors.

Personality: Nathanial is a serious man who is mostly concerned with keeping his House out of any major conflict, he is happiest when he is left alone in his lands to run them as he sees fit. He can be a harsh man but all agree that he treats everyone alike regardless of his personal feelings. His family are incredibly important to him and he and his wife Birgitte have a strong marriage based on love and understanding. He can be perhaps too serious but he does have a sense of humour but it is more wry and so often people do not realise when he is jesting.

History: From an early age Nathanial was groomed to become head of his House though for many years in his youth he rebelled against his destined role. As a teen he was a free spirit and was more interested in sailing than he was in the runnings of his House. He would spend many hours on his boat and usually only returned to eat and sleep. That all changed when his father died suddenly when he was turning nineteen. He was forced to give up his idyllic lifestyle and take up the mantle as Scion of his House (though even then he fought it)
He finally accepted the role when he met Birgitte his future wife at a tournament thrown by one of his vassals, he took to her immediately and began courting her in earnest even though she was of a lower standing than he was.

They married when he was twenty two and have been together ever since. Nathanial has finally come to terms with his role and having fathered three children he now is determined to ensure they have the best from life.
